I know what you guys are trying to do by cutting out the fluff of your "Meateater TV" edits. But episodes could be a lot longer. At like 20-30 mins It feels like your still serving these up for the outdoor channel and cable tv. A lot of your viewers would appreciate some of the cut footage and fluff and explanations. Especially with the wait being a year for 6-8 episodes. Make them an hour. We would ALL watch!

Once streaming became the norm, length should be ignored for the most part. Tell a story whether it takes 10 minutes or over an hour.

      I'd watch a 6 hour mule deer hunt 😂

I wonder why everyone still has these time lengths they shoot for. Has to be some science behing that's what keeps most people coming back for me. Maybe the longer the video, the video is less likely to watch the next one right away. Who knows

You guys should really move away from the 22 min episodes. I get it but I think a lot of viewers would prefer a more raw and stripped down episode that features the good, bad, and boring moments. Cable tv has moved on and people want longer form content, it's why podcasts and video podcasts are so popular now. You could easily do 45-60 min episodes and people would 100% watch them

I imagine they have looked at the analytics, and can tell how long people are watching.

    • @jonathansanford2786

@@Deno03 They are 100% keeping there options open for cable TV networks. The Born and Raised guys & every other YT hunting channel turns one hunt into 27 episodes and 8 hours of content. (for the record love those guys, but meateater is far above the quality of BNR) THE PEOPLE have spoke. We want longer episodes!

    • @maviedanslevent
      @maviedanslevent Місяць тому

@@Deno03 if you're looking at analytics as a benchmark for how long content should be, then you'd be making 6 second brainless videos talking about other videos that talk about other videos.

I’ve started getting into trapping the last couple years and have been consuming a good deal of media on the subject. I listened to your podcast with Stu from Coon Creek Outdoors and would love if you guys could get him back on, he’s one of my favorite youtube channels. I can’t wait to see what you guys put out in the near future!

Dont conform to the 22 minute bullshit, who cares if thats standard form! You guys post it to youtube and your website anyways! Make it as long as possible to cover the full story. The longer the better. Love to laugh, listen and learn from you folks.

I live on the WV/VA border and we have a ton of bears. I think there may be something to fresh scent on cameras like Tony says. If they last 5-7 days I find the bears won't mess with them but if one comes through sooner it's gone but what I've found is that in my tactacams and my feeder that runs off a 6 volt battery. They try to get the batteries out everytime.

Hey guys. Pertaining to the cut mule deer episode due to high wind noise, I wanted to bring to light that I’ve been seeing a lot of racing and automotive content creators have used AI prompts to isolate and remove any unwanted noise (wind, loud vehicles, air tools etc.) and then use prompts to clean up the isolated vocal track. Might be worth a shot if it can save an episode.

I think the high wind noise would only add to the immersiveness, unless it was just bad audio on the filmers part

When you guys are on your way to Wisconsin swing through southern mn. I'm west of Mankato about 40 minutes. We will go out and smack a couple of slicks.

Watermelon stealing story. My grandparents had a young man from town stop out at the farm one evening. As it was dark outside, my grandfather turned the lights on for him. This young man stepped into the house and chatted up everyone for about 15 minutes.
Since he was from town, my grandfather only knew him a little.
The next day, my mother and her siblings when out to the garden to pick and gather the large oversized cucumbers and feed them to the hogs. But to their surprise, all the long, huge cucumbers were gone.
    Watermelon stealing gone wrong.

Please stop the 22 minute episodes. Times have changed, you aren't on cable tv anymore. I would love to see hour long episodes, and I dont think I am alone in this opinion.

Come to the south east and do some tight woods whitetail hunting, with some of the rifles we use here. Do some bow hunting as well. Do it early season. Also go towards the coast of SC and do some hunting. The deer there are almost like mule deer. The buck’s racks get big because of the black soil and all the minerals in it. Hunting is a religion around the south.

Longer episodes please, nobody cares abt 22mins, hour episodes should have started years ago. No way it makes sense confirming your show around the near obsolete cabel/satellite TV schedule.

It’s the batteries you’re using that attracts the bears, I think it’s the nickel cadmium batteries that attract the Bears not the lithium ion, it’s been proven
