What a fascinating man and story. We have a 35 acre mountain property in the middle of nowhere. We know there are black bears there so we don't go anywhere without the bear spray when we are outdoors. I've studied a lot about what to do, but Brent put a whole different light on it. I learned a bunch more that I didn't know before. Thank you so much for having this man on.
The Black 🐻 Bears where I live PNW want nothing to do with people. I've only seen 2 in the wild, and they were running 🏃♂️ away from me. I do keep Pepper 🌶 Gel with me for different reasons
This brings up some interesting points. I'll give you my take on this. While there have been documented accounts of attacks by black bears in the lower 48 the numbers that I have reviewed in Canada are really shocking to me. Predatory attacks by black bears in BC. Yukon and Alberta far out number anything the lower 48. What I have learned is that black bears in the lower 48 have been hunted heavily and are far more prone to flee when they encounter people. This is learned behavior. This isn't the case in Canada. Huge area's of Canada is wilderness and bear don't encounter humans with anywhere near the frequency that they do in the states. The result is the female has not imparted this learned behavior to her cubs. The bears have no fear of humans and thusly view humans as pray. Most predator attacks in the day are by black bear, while most predator attacks that occur at night are by grizzlies. Time and space doesn't allow me to go into a more lengthy explanation here, I hope that this helps.
From the bear encounters I've read about lately in a couple of the State/National Parks in the States, there were 2 where bear spray for some reason didn't work & the victims didn't survive. At the 1 site there was 3 empty cans of bear spray found near the unlucky camper. He was able to call for help but wasnt reached soon enough. The other bear spray failure I think was a hiker but I'm not sure, I just can't remember. Ive heard of a couple others but it's been a long time ago. These 2 stories are recent. It makes me know I would NEVER depend on bear spray if a bear got after me. A human is no match for a bear. An adequate size pistol will take care of a mean bear !
I stumbled on this after listening to another crazy bear attack story. It’s on Dan Becker’s YT channel called I survived 3 attacks by a Grizzly Bear. Might I mention that I’m very happy in my California suburban neighborhood where I don’t have to be bear aware. 😂
@@dadudman44 Haha that’s too funny! Your reply reminded me about that other channel… I’m going to check and see if there are any new stories there to make me so scared I’ll be carrying bear spray into the grocery store. 💨🐻

This man made a living killing gods creations. I'd say karma finally caught up with him. Least he's here to brag at how successful he was at his job eh?
@arthurduffy1107 I will never understand why non hunters watch these videos just to upset themselves, and then complain about the men who do to make themselves feel better about it. Just. Don't. Watch. Its very easy to me. I don't watch or listen to videos that upset me. I don't need my BP to go higher over something useless. They will never stop hunters, especially by insulting them.
@metalmamasue3680 You are an idiot. I hunt all the time and you are "keyboard warrior" who doesn't have anything to say. You are a joke! Just say " "don't" is the monicker of your hero " Joe Biden". Worked really well in Ukraine, and in Israel. " Don't!" 😂.Maybe go back to something you know, like headines at National Enquirer ( "Elvis love child", etc )
Fantastic story teller. My first book report as a city kid in Denver in the 3rd grade, 1967 was about grizzlies. I never had to research them 3:47 again. At that time they became my favorite subject. Their intelligence is fascinating. I am so glad Brent survived his attack and enlightens people on survival around bears. God bless hi
I love how he acknowledges the awesomeness of the bear, does not blame the bear for being a bear. And that he gives the glory to God for His protection and grace!!
@@beverlyosmond I don’t. He hunts and kills bears and other animals. Many decent and kind people have been killed by bears. I’m sure the victim’s loved ones wondered why their God didn’t save their daughter and her child who were mauled and killed by a bear.
@@metalmacabre9991 I am a scientist in the biochemistry field so I am going to respond to you from that scientific perspective. I do not believe in some man with a grey beard in the clouds, but I do believe it is likely that there is a higher sentient consciousness than our own. You and I are both composed from space dust composed of zinc, iron, copper, magnesium, carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, etc. etc. etc. We are space dust that became self-aware that we are space dust... that is very odd but true. As space dust, we choose to manipulate our environment because we feel like it, and we defy the laws of physics in the short term when we decide to jump against gravity or walk against the wind (going from a low energy state to a higher energy state because we feel like it). We also try to fight entropy (very odd for chemical reactions to want to fight entropy). Now... this self aware space dust is conscious... we are some type of consciousness dwelling inside a calcium carbonate enclosure (the skull). The idea that consciousness and awareness can exist in this universe is a data point that leans me towards believing that OTHER consciousness can also exist, and I think it is quite silly to think that consciousness would only dwell in calcium carbonate enclosures (skulls). Considering that the universe itself has chemical and electrical signals shooting throughout it, I have no clue if the universe itself houses its own consciousness on a larger level or how consciousness might be housed and in one format or form. I think it is quite silly to think consciousness stops at our "skull size and shape". I can understand how a microscopic organism living inside someone's brain might think that the neuronal synapses and the vast empty spaces with electrical and chemical signals shooting around are just structures... but little would that organism know that all those structures together form a conscious mind that can analyze and understand what is inside of it. Likewise, for all we know, we are inside some larger consciousness. As much as this sounds like a fairy tale, we are unfortunately that very fairy tale... it is absolutely ridiculous that space dust would become self-aware and conscious, but we are evidence of it... therefore, while I don't believe in a great invisible sky daddy, I must admit that there is more evidence for the idea of consciousness than nothing at all. In that sense, a "God" might simply be whatever higher level consciousness exists above our own... and it would be absolutely ridiculous to think that it stops at our level.

I lived in Alaska for years. But I never felt safe there. You never knew when you might run into a bear while in the woods. Even fishing at the Russian River with many other people nearby, might find you within proximity of a bear. Alaska is not for the faint-hearted. So glad this good man survived his attack.
@@honeybadger5933 Is that the same area where a man got his face torn off by a grizzly bear decades ago? A book was written about it. I think he was in the parking lot getting ready to leave the area after fishing. I remember going there many times before that happened- not after!

Another hero to admire, Brent Hudson was a great guest and story-teller! His harrowing experience followed by his intact love for Bears shows us that he is a beautiful human, inside and out. Thanks, Melissa & Jeremy, for introducing us to Mr. Hudson.
Heroic? This guy has been eliminating one of nature's most majestic creations for the mere sport of it all his life. Shameful is a much more accurate adjective.
Thank you ❤ While I wasn't a Grunt I was in country during the Tet 1968 offensive, battle for Hue City and sedge of Khe Sanh We were hammered with 122 mm and B40 rockets for the entire 13 month tour. The two things that we Marines loved were our Corpsman, and the sound of incoming fighter aircraft and helicopters! God bless you and welcome home!
Sat on the edge of my seat while he gave his story and so happy he has been blessed to survive the experience. This was an awesome episode. Thank you guys!
Living in Montana we deal with bears getting into chicken coops and other things. A friend works for fish wildlife and parks and was out documenting grizzlies in the area and was attacked. Suffered severe head injuries but managed to survive and walked 2 miles out to call for help. Being bear aware is a serious thing.

I Love watching. Yall are so calm and enjoyable. I love Idaho. That’s how I found y’all. Searching videos of Idaho. Idaho has a very special place in my broken heart. My fiancé proposed to me in a fire tower Airbnb in Fernwood. He had a second home in Fernwood and he would go every year in October and stay usually until December. Our trip together was magical. Early on October 24th, 2018 he told me to get dressed because we weren’t hunting that day. I thought he was taking me to Walmart! He had told me it was around 45 minutes away. We wound up at this fire tower and he had all of our stay planned out. As I was looking around in awe at the beautiful view, I turned to him and he was on one knee crying, holding the most beautiful diamond rind out to me. I was in shock and burst out crying. We were both ugly crying and laughing with joy. Little did we know a month later he would be in the emergency room in Cartersville Ga with a diagnosis of adenocarcinoma and 2 weeks later he passed away. Ten days before our wedding which he had planned on surprising me to occur on Orange Beach in Alabama. He passed away on December 3, 2018. He was 59. A hunter practically from a very early age and this man y’all are interviewing reminds me a lot of Mark. It’s been a very long and hard 5 1/2 years. Losing your mate is the second hardest grief with losing your child/children being the worst. Unfortunately I have several friends who have lost children. Seeing their struggle is heartbreaking. Thank you for your channels. I usually cry while watching but it’s therapeutic because I miss Idaho so much and to live it vicariously through yall is such a special moment for me.
I am so incredibly sorry for the loss of your soulmate. I, too, know that same pain and send you my whole heart. I hope you have many days where you find yourself smiling, even if the tears are flowing whilst the memory of him passes through your consciousness. He is always with you. The angel on your right shoulder ♥️
I am so sorry for your loss, it is truly heart breaking. I lost my precious wife two and a half years ago to cancer. I have faced almost every kind of danger that you can think of but the loss of my sweet wife was the hardest thing that I have ever faced and had to deal with! I 🙏For us both!
Another amazing hour with my favorite people. This was a very interesting, well spoken, knowledgeable guy who kept me spellbound with his miraculous escape from a 1500 lb grizzly bear in Kodiac Alaska. He was so interesting because he never paused or stammered through the entire telling of his story and the best part was that he gave God all the glory and honor for his being alive on many occasions. You guys are finding such wonderful people to be guests on your podcasts and I can hardly wait to see what’s coming next week. My son lives in West Yellowstone, Montana and there are several grizzlies as you can imagine. He lives in a place where there is several cabins and his neighbor has pictures of bear tracks beside their houses. I am so paranoid of these creatures.
My surprised barking dog and I just saw our first wild grizzly at thirty feet, us being on a hill; we all saw each other for one minute, we backed away out of his sightline, then ran to our camper. Thrilling and lovely!.
I don't want to come up against a bear, but the animal I'm most afraid of are Chimpanzees. I've seen what they do to each other and to humans! Thanks UTUBE...
@lou_-mg7mb So you are saying Jesus (a man) is God. So did Jesus create life then? There has never been nor will there ever be a man or men, who can create life. Something doesn’t make sense here
@@tustariCatholic Christians believe that God exists in 3 persons (The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit). The Son has never been claimed to create life, to the best of my knowledge
Wow! I watch this with tears in my eyes how close I missed this. I'm 64 now I've been in a wheelchair a quadriplegic. In 2007 the place I was living there was a black bear that showed up in May and gone by June was never seen until next year. In 2007 I invested a lot of my money and someone another story, anyhow I went outside to look at all the trees along a ditch beside the house I planted. The bear had not been seen in several weeks. The dogs in the cages she had outback certainly would let you know there were 4 Pomeranian's in a chain-link cage. It's a beautiful day about 1 PM really hot broad daylight! I'm able to put my hand on top of a joystick in my lap using my shoulder and able to drive the chair by moving my shoulder muscles with my neck. I'm out in the flat level yard there's a cool breeze coming out of a pine thicket. I have Multiple Sclerosis in the heat makes me weak I know that I can't tolerate the heat but the breeze is always blowing from that direction through the thicket there are springs in several places it's like nature's air conditioning. Suddenly the wind stops! I looked to the sky and said, "yeah I know, it's too hot". Meaning the heat makes my weakness worse if I stay up to all I may not be to get back. I get the message. I drive across the yard, I go by the dogs they aren't barking. I drive up onto the porch could hear the phone ringing. I put my foot against the sliding door and swivel my chair to open the door. I go inside and do the same to close it and drive around the corner like making a U-turn around the wall looking at the window facing outside where I just came from. I push the button on my speakerphone with a straw sitting in a jar beside of it using my mouth. I say hello as I watch a huge black bear walk by my bedroom window exactly where I just came from. If the wind had not stopped blowing that day was really unusual I would not be telling you this story I would have experienced what you did. The more I thought about what had just happened I looked down at my lap there were a few Doritos crumbs on my lap where I had a snack earlier. I stayed by myself about 12 hours a day. I would drive up to the bar at my height and eat things like that for a snack. I can't imagine being seriously 2 minutes earlier outside being ripped from my chair while seatbelted at the waist. The chair weighs about 250 pounds so I'm quite aware what the outcome will be. For at least 5 years I've had recurring dreams of being ripped out of my chair in pieces by a black bear. Tennessee wildlife was called I reported the bear so they came and set a trap to relocate the bear. Several days went by the bear they said took the bait that never went inside for the rest. I told them I saw the bear again last night the dogs started barking. They barked completely different when it's a dear or a person. When a bear comes by there is a growl sound to their barked. I said to my nurse, turn the lights off. Her neighbor daughter-in-law called and said it just walked through their backyard. I am against the sliding door sideways looking and here it comes from my vehicle parked at the bottom of a ramp coming up onto the deck to this door. I am moving! I move across to the wall at the edge of the door where the upright freezer stands and I am leaning forward is much as I can looking around the edge of the freezer. My Cat walks out from under the table towards the door as the bear walks up to the door. He turns sideways parallel with the door and I kid you not. His back was even with the handles on the sliding door! I've never seen a bear that big I've seen them in captivity maybe it was the distance they didn't look so big but this thing was huge! I feel the same way! I think God was with me that day!

Yes you cannot outrun a bear, and it just stimulates their prey drive. They will run you down. Look up a bear running to see how fast they are for such large animals. I'm definitely not an expert but I do pay attention and listen to many bear attack stories and read as many articles as I can. I live in bear country.

God bless you sir for counting your blessings. I retired from driving an 18 wheeler, one of the most dangerous jobs you can have these days. No incidents or accidents, praise the Lord for my blessing. But there are a few times that I should've died, but I was spared. I don't know what He has in-store for me, but I wait on the Lord.
Hi excuse any ignorance but could you explain the dangers of driving an 18 wheeler? I’m genuinely curious. Is it moreso because it can be difficult to operate the vehicle? I suppose also it depends on the type of 18 wheeler (gas, etc) Happy you survived-thank you for your service of driving. It’s super important for the economy.

I had a friend while living in Alaska, she was making chilly. None of us had a.c., windows opened a lot. She heard screams...black bear half way through her kitchen window reaching for the pot. Game guy darted it and it was flown to Denali. Bears are tagged, if a repeat offender - they are flown out.
I'm an Australian who as a teenager was our version of an eagle scout at a minimum. I was an avid cadet corp member and by the time I graduated highschool a legit survivalist. I ended up travelling to northern California in early 2001 and bascially hiked various trails across a few states. During that time there were day to day times when black bears particularly would stalk me on the trail. It's interesting coming from a country that has no land animals large enough to be a threat in that situation, but I still remember what being hunted felt like. People think Australia is some landscape of death but we only have one animal here big enough & which targets humans with no concerns. The rest are typically insects and smaller reptiles and can be safely planned for.
I lived in Alaska when I was young (1980-84). I loved it up there. My uncle was a long-time resident who lived in a cabin he built out in the bush near May Creek. It wouldn't surprise me if this guy knew my uncle Al.
My family has grizzly bear camping stories- one knocked my uncle off on a picnic bench- but this man takes the cake. Thank you for this amazing interview.❤
I was raised in Alaska and worked on a crew setting Vertical Support Members way north of the Yukon River in 1976 (on the trans-alaska pipeline). We weren't long at any one camp. One morning I was walking the hallway back to my room after breakfast and there were a bunch of people around a door near the kitchen. I asked what was going on. Someone said there's a big bear outside. I looked out there and around a corner came the biggest grizzly I'd ever seen. It must have been eight feet long from nose to tail! I didn't stick around.

@@Kattaz0309People have been hunting as long as humans have existed. You may choose not to but many ppl hunt to feed their families as well as hunting as a management tool. For bears and humans it's best that they retain their natural fear of humans. If there are too many bears for a habitat to support they WILL seek out human sources of food. Those bears become dangerous bears that can and do attack children and others. And often get euthanized because they pose such a danger to people. They also teach their cubs bad behavior in the process. If you don't like it fine. Don't do it but you will never, ever change the fact that people hunt. Especially not by insulting them. Don't watch if it upsets you. I don't watch things that upset me. It's a simple enough thing really.
There is a man here in Western North Carolina who had his face ripped off by a black bear and survived. After numerous surgeries his face is still a mangled mess. We see black bear all the time walking down the streets here in town. Very thankful we don't have grizzlies or polar bears
If you have that many black bears in your area be very careful and observant. Not too long ago a woman was killed and partly eaten by a black bear in the Smoky Mountain N. park. Black bears have an unfortunate nature to be more of a predator toward people than grizzlies do. If Melissa and Jeremy have me back on their podcast I will go into that in further detail. Stay safe.
I live in Asheville, same thing here. I see them outside my apartment, walking down the street, even around retail stores and the mall. They’re everywhere
@womaninthewave I live at the base of the rockies but have also lived in Tennessee and seen black bears in both places. The size of the bears out here greatly exceed the size of the ones in the east. But the NUMBER of bears that are around people in the East far exceeds the ones here and in my opinion makes them more dangerous for y'all
Yea I went to App State and while I was there about 08-09 or so and a student got her calf slashed apart while hiking out deep in a holler to get to an old mine to sluice an old creek. Last I saw here she was missing about 75% of her right calf and gnarly scars on her other leg and arms.
@@womaninthewave Please be careful there's a guy in Asheville who allows bears onto his porch and they eat the suet he puts out for the birds. He thinks he knows these bears & he has a channel you can see for yourself. His name is P a t r i c k C o n l e y and he is causing bears to lose their fear of humans. He even has mothers with cubs come onto his porch and one tried to get into his home. It's so dangerous what he is doing and he should be reported to the authorities by locals. They don't care what someone out of state says, I've tried. I don't want to scare you, just to make you aware that those bears are losing their fear of humans and those are potentially dangerous bears. There have been attacks in the area, you can look that up too. Stay safe and consider keeping some kind of protection on you. Probably the best bear attack story I’ve ever heard and I listen to all I can find and watch all the videos I come across and have for the last 20 years thank you so very much !
Yes we all know that. People who enjoy the woods and outdoors should understand that risk and take precautions. It doesn't guarantee your safety but it does give you a chance to make it if the worst thing happens.
We have 140 acres in NC near VA border and we have a few (probably mom and cubs) black bears. We catch them on our deer cams snacking on our deer corn. This story has reminded me of the danger and to not be complacent. Thank you 😊
What an amazing story and conversation. I would agree with Brent's assessment on the bears expansion. We now have more bears in Montana than ever before in recent years. I'm talking about pre protection act. In the last decade in our community, on the east slope of the Rockey Mountains. We live approximately 30 miles out on the plains, and we have several bears in farming country. We have had bears walk right through our backyard. So, we are really experiencing this expansion firsthand. We have "you are in Bear Country" signs right in our school yards. I am recommending, this podcast to everyone in our community. We need to make sure everyone has this information especially for our children. The Fish and Game dept. is not much help except to set barrel traps for relocation to a different area only to have them return within a week. Our mountains here are full and the bears have no other place to go except east to the breaks country to survive. Loved this podcast it is absolutely vital keep up the good work. God Bless you all!
Be careful!!! Your communist-in-disguise governments want you gunless and exposed to predators in countryside because that would force you into their smart cities. They don't want anyone roaming freely in the wild and living off of nature independently of their Matrix. They would rather see you dead than be armed and safe where you currently live. That's why morons like Bill Gates end up buying enormous amount of farmland as well. This trend is true both for the USA and Canada!
A great interview. What a wonderful story teller he is. We do not have grizzlies where I live, but there are many black bears. I certainly appreciate the tips about the black bear as I often go riding in the bush.

Thank you for expertise..Lord I hope I don't come across one
I had heard that Washington State was planing on doing this and I think it goes beyond irresponsible to borderline criminal for them to do so! We have had one fatal mauling here in North Idaho in I believe 2011 on the Idaho and Montana border. First will be the loss of livestock and then the danger of an attack on people. If your firearm is a 9mm.which is what most folks are caring these days load that puppy up with some G9 Defense Woodsman ammo made right here in North Idaho. This is what I carry in my 9mm as well as my 10 mm. My recommendation is to carry both bear spray in addition to your firearm. The brand of pepper spray that I carry is UDAP and Counter Assault. These two have been use with good results in Alaska and of the two the UDAP is advertised as being the hottest. Also If you are going to carry it buy the magnum size. Once the can is empty it is of on use to you. Stay safe!

@@charleshudson7322 Why kill bears? First of all, we do not kill bears for pleasure, but rather hunt them as a necessity. More specifically, because some of us, real men, are still wired to be truly self sufficient out in the wild, instead of becoming the slaves of our lands as farmers or tax paying slaves as city dwellers. There is something incredibly uplifting about being able to stare in the eyes of the most magnificent beast in the Wild as free men without getting intimidated, because we are confident in our abilities to hunt down these majestic beasts thanks to the ingenious weapons human intelligence has produced. When we, real men, hunt we can rightfully feel on the top of the food chain here on Earth, not to mention the important roles these hunts have in transitioning our inexperienced sons into manhood. The memories of these hunts bond us real men together around the campfires, while the consumption of bear meat and the usage of bear hide will add to our roles as providers of our families. Last, but not least, bears have no natural enemies, other than us, real men. To keep bear populations in check and our families safe, we must hunt them regularly. I chose to not move to Northern Minnesota for that reason. I worry because my 28 year old daughter lives up there and she had a black bear on her porch. I wish she’d move back because I constantly worry.

It was a black bear that killed a little 3 year old little girl in Hiawatha state park in Michigan, dragged into the woods off her own porch.
Speaking of not knowing if a bear is close to you, this happened to me several years ago in Alaska in late summer or early fall. We were camped on the Kenai river in a small trailer. On this particular night at 11pm I decided to dump our trash before heading to bed. I walked to the dumpster, emptied the garbage and headed back to the trailer and to bed. The next morning the camp host said that there was a grizzly sow and her two cubs out by the dumpster...at 11pm. I thank God that I wasn't attacked. Don't know why I wasn't.

I really enjoyed your guest! I have always had a fascination with Bears 🐻. Our next door neighbor was a Big game hunter & houndsman. He would get called out too hunt rouge Bears & mountain lions, back in the 50's & 60's. My sister & I would go next-door & listen to all his hunting stories. Some funny, some really scary & tradgic, but always captivating! My family was always into wildlife & the great outdoors. I worked for the US Forest Service in Timber Management & Recreation! I grew up with a lot of hunters! My sister liked Bear hunting. She raised hounds too! I hope you have him back on again to talk more about his Bear safety training!
I don't think I'll ever be in an area where I may run into a bear, but if I did, I know now what I should do in case they try to attack! What an interesting story.. I was stuck to the screen just listening to his story. He really tells it well. It was like I could picture the scene in my mind! So glad he made it out alive! I hope he gets more interview or podcast opportunities.. I'd love to hear more!!

I live in southwest Arkansas and I had a young black bear hang out in the tree close to my house. For around 36 hours. It slept most of the time. There is no telling how long it had been there while I was outside cleaning and watering my horses water troughs. The are very neat animals. I'm glad I came across your podcast I learn a lot from this.
And black bears aren’t nearly as dangerous or big as grizzlies. I live in the Adirondacks and black bears walk through people’s yards all the time.
Stay strapped

Lol God didn't do shit. This man got lucky.. the great invisible sky daddy doesn't help anyone because he doesn't exist.

He was 59.
Why would you keep dogs in a cage?

I ended up travelling to northern California in early 2001 and bascially hiked various trails across a few states. During that time there were day to day times when black bears particularly would stalk me on the trail. It's interesting coming from a country that has no land animals large enough to be a threat in that situation, but I still remember what being hunted felt like. People think Australia is some landscape of death but we only have one animal here big enough & which targets humans with no concerns. The rest are typically insects and smaller reptiles and can be safely planned for.

I can attest to the dangers of the Kodiak brown bears. I was stationed on Kodiak in the Coast Guard base police 1985-1988. I saw more bears on night patrols back in the area where he was working. They are such an awesome animal. I was actually baptized near the mouth of the Buskin river!
Aloha Dk do you happen to know a William Blake he was a loadmaster on a C-130 up there the years you mentioned you were stationed up there?
@@jrod96819 I want to say the name sounds familiar, but I can't say for sure.
@@DKHomestead oh ok yeah he flew for a year then switched to the fuel farm for two years then retired , Kodiak sure straightened me out from a punk kid from Hawaii to another island in Alaska in the middle of know where , take care🙏🏽🤙🏽
@@jrod96819 When were you there?
Praise the Lord brother.
What a blessing that he glorifies Gods name first before his own! We all need to thank God for all of our blessings!!!
I love him for this. Amen 🙌🏾🙌🏾🥰🙏🏾
He lives to kill animals. Sorry not someone to be admired at all.
Huh?
😂
I guess his god has it in for all the children with terminal cancer. Good thing he likes guys who use high power rifles to kill his majestic creations from a safe distance in service of trophies and bragging rights.
My hubby took a nice Kodiak bear he was 9foot 2 inches and weighed over 1000 lbs ,I love these bear stories and I love hes a christian. What an amazing story and it's for sure father God had his hand on this man.
He TOOK a nice Kodiak bear?
You mean shot it? Real Christian-like.
God also just let the bear attack him too? Kinda odd how God plays around like that hey??
@@Kattaz0309the most ignorant comment I’ve seen yet
@@tarahclubb4243
Explain how that is ignorant.
His name is P a t r i c k
C o n l e y and he is causing bears to lose their fear of humans.
Better to have a way to defend yourself and not need it, than to need it and not have it. ❤
I live in bear country in PA and I wouldn't live anywhere else. I love the beauty and peace of nature. But I am aware and have ways to defend myself.
What a fantastic man.Thank you for having him on.I learned so much living in the mountains of Washington. We have a lot of black bears.Thank you, thank you.Thank you.God bless all of you
They are talking about releasing brown/grizzly bears into the mts in Washington state. Look it up. Just so you are aware of what's out there.
Stay safe but enjoy beautiful nature. 😊❤
Probably the best bear attack story I’ve ever heard and I listen to all I can find and watch all the videos I come across and have for the last 20 years thank you so very much !
Gods grace was on you for sure. Yes, give God all glory!!
Sometimes when you play in their playground man doesn’t always win!!!!
Yes we all know that. People who enjoy the woods and outdoors should understand that risk and take precautions. It doesn't guarantee your safety but it does give you a chance to make it if the worst thing happens.
this is my first time on this site. so happy I found it. happily subscribed and looking forward to more videos.
What a great guest. Thank you! Brent ! Your experiences are invaluable.
What a beautiful man god bless him
Wow! INCREDIBLE story and an amazing man! This was a great podcast!
What a wonderful man. God has been faithful to him. What an amazing story of survival.
Lol
wow it was so wonderful to listen to him and what stories and knowledge he has on bears. Great guest
You should share this with Joe Rogan. He loves bear stories. Grizzly especially.
I throughly enjoyed this podcast. I watch a lot of bear attacks on You Tube from different podcasters. Thanks for posting this video.
A great interview. What a wonderful story teller he is. We do not have grizzlies where I live, but there are many black bears. I certainly appreciate the tips about the black bear as I often go riding in the bush.
We moved to North Eastern Washington and they released recently Grizzlies..I am seeing signs .on our poly water tank that it 8' tall and that PAW WAS HUUGE! My dog's are always with me but my firearm is Not enough power..we are on 28 acres..the neighbors garbage dumpsters are always tipped over garbage all over..
Stay safe!
@@charleshudson-u4l thank you! Yes a 9mm

I am sorry to hear that you lost your dad! He was in country at the same time as me and I would have loved to have known him. I was at a large supply base just about 10 miles north of Da Nang "Force Logistics Command" I truly believe one of the reasons that I am still around is that I wasn't a grunt and I didn't have to tromp around in all of that agent orange crap as I corps was the most heavily sprayed section in Vietnam. How come the rest of you don't understand this???
Great information! Abba Father is so very very Faithful to his children, especially when he knows our hearts.
I'm so happy to have this man as a friend. This interview is exactly who this man is. He's a true believer in Jesus Christ and is a genuinely great story teller. Also, even though he has trouble with both hands don't let that fool you. He's a fantastic shooter. Great interview and story!

Stories like this are why I never go in the woods. Terrifying.
I chose to not move to Northern Minnesota for that reason. I worry because my 28 year old daughter lives up there and she had a black bear on her porch. I wish she’d move back because I constantly worry.
@@flowergarden1426well take some solace in knowing that black bears are smaller and much more wary and skittish than brown bears. There have only been 6 recorded bear attacks in MN ever and none fatal. She will be fine I promise!!
@@justingagnier1394 Catherine Sweatt Mueller from Maple plains Minnesota was mauled to death by a black bear while looking for her dog. They may be skittish but they are more aggressive than even a grizzly or brown bear. It was a black bear that killed a little 3 year old little girl in Hiawatha state park in Michigan, dragged into the woods off her own porch.
I am from South Africa, and we love following you ❤ Thank you for this testimony.
What a story and outstanding testimony!
The Kenai, home to the king salmon. I am thankful that you didn't bump into them either!

Not only are these hungry bears being replanted onto areas of humans - but their wild food sources are being destroyed, on purpose, at the same time.
