When wax is fighting on the train in The Lost Metal one of the people he’s fighting against uses bronze to locate him when he’s tapping Iron so it’s confirmed, bronze also lets you detect other forms of investiture
You've mentioned storing Fortune being a barrier, and I think it's important to note that Ricochet and especially scrappers can mitigate the danger of random misfortune while storing.
An ambassador would also make a good doctor. Remember patient information perfectly, along with what you studied about a certain diagnosis. And soothing patients would be super handy.
Something I want to know with soul casting is. If a twin born with two metals that don't match, filled their metal minds could they soul cast that matel to match their allomancer metal. -Does the metals attribute change? -does the metals change but not the attribute? -does the metal refuse to change, like a certain stick we all know.
Soulcasting a metalmind is brought up in this WoB, but Brandon doesn't give a definitive answer as to what would happen: wob.coppermind.net/events/131/#e3969
I think the interrupter is better than you think. In the newspaper interludes somewhere in the second era, there is a character that studied a martial art designed around using allomantic chromium, so moving in to drain people is really important. Speeding up your reflexes with zinc would be way op, only better combo would be physical speed with steel
The “quickwit” reminds me of tin savant without all the drawbacks. Makes me think of an expert boxer or martial artist who’s watching your body language in a fight with extreme precision and reaction times.
Have we heard how time manipulation affects storing feruchemical properties? Could you use time bubbles to speed up fortune storage in super safe environments
@JorgeMorge @dominicpizano887 Well, that seems like a great synergy for any feruchemical ability that would suck to store. However, Wayne seems like a counter example as you'd think he would use this trick for rapid health storing.
I think it would work, but from the perspective of the Twinborn, they are still storing at the same rate, just everything outside of the bubble is moving slower. So you would still have to suffer through the downsides of storing some attributes. It could definitely come in handy in a fight though, I would imagine. Like if you run out of strength in your pewtermind mid fight you could throw up a speed bubble and store some more strength. And yeah, I think it could actually make storing Fortune better/safer for a Ricochet.
A- Bendalloy is super usefull for any feruchemichal ability that is dangerous/annoing to store - like Speed, Mental Speed, Health or Fortune. Speeding up those proceses is worth Busted Tier.
I think one thing that's missing every time you talk about connection is that when you tap it you can speak the language of the people you're visiting, basically being able to speak with people no matter where you are. Ther are also some interactions with investiture, like a Knight Radiant being able to summon his shardplate oustide of Roshar, and the way *spoiler* Vasher uses stormlight to keep himself alive, instead of breaths.
I don't think a typical Duralumin Ferring would be able to use it for speaking other languages. In BoM they are using unkeyed Connection in the medallion, but you can only create unkeyed connection if you are blanking your identity with an aluminummind at the same time as storing your Connection. Edit: So I looked at the part of BoM I was remembering, and they don't use the term unkeyed Connection, they use the term blank Connection, so it might be different. So, I think you're right, it probably would let a Ferring speak other languages in foreign lands. Here's the paragraph from Bands: "Because we’re in your lands,” he said. “The visitor always has to wear the medallion. It’s filled with Connection, yah? Blank Connection, to no place. But Connection can’t just be connected to nothing, so when you tap it, it reaches out and connects you to the place where you are. Makes your soul think you were raised in this place instead, so your language changes." --Allik, BoM ch. 22
@@ExploringTheCosmere now the question is if when you store conection are you storing specific connection? To places and/or people? And then can you store to specific places and or people and then tap only then, like using copper to store and tap specifc memories only. Moreover is the Nahel Bond a form of connection? Can you store it, and while doing so do things against your ideal? Or even form a second bond with a different spren and switch between the two when needed? If you can, and tap it, does your surgebinding gets stronger? Can you reach abilities that go further than the ideal you're currently on? If you somehow unkey that metal mind, van you give surgebinding to anyone?
@@ExploringTheCosmere I don't think we will I think era 3 we won't even have a misting or a ferring as protagonist, just a bunch of medallions. Maybe a full mistborn through lerasium though? But the language part we've seen work, and frankly, that would make me wanna be a duraluminum ferring by itself
Vin wall burning pewter was able to jump very high because she is very lite so you wall storing you weight you could do the same even if you are buff like ham
I personally think you're a bit harsh on feruchemical electrum. storing it certainly wouldn't be fun but that goes for tons of metals. I know storing it can have a side effect of depression but I think it would overall just make you lazy, and it wouldn't be such a big deal to just feel extra lazy when you don't have anything important to do. Definitely doesn't seem as bad as storing health, mental speed, or fortune, each of which can be actively dangerous (but tapping them is more powerful so it balances out). and while tapping determination isn't as powerful as some other attributes I still think it could be quite useful, in a similar way to tapping mental speed or wakefullness, it'll make you very productive. you could also use it in combat to avoid getting scared or to push through the pain of injuries. so not a top tier feruchemical ability but I think it deserves more than being seen as barely useful at all.
I think that the quickwit is better than you think, a big problem with allomamtic tin is that there is to much sensory input coming in to process it all, tapping zinc may allow you to take it all in and handle the information coming in
i was thinking, the ambassador (soothe+memories) is literally shallan, i mean, cmon, she makes people feel whatever she wants them to feel *the only difference is that she puts on a veil to trick people into falling in line instead of eating metal* and she already has better memory with her whole thing than a coppermind (because cmon thats not photographic memory that is straight up a camera) AND as if that wasnt enough, forgetting a memory to remember it later is one thing, but putting your mind imagery in drawings and even 3d videos, that is "recording your dreams" type of busted
but ambassador is still broken, you can learn things from people and always remember them when you are talking with them and they can be like super decieved but you like only took a quick glance at their room and remember a few items like a baseball and totally be like "yooo you into baseball?" while soothing them and bam, ambassador from within
A-Pewter F-Iron would probally also enhance ability to run quickly as your reducing the weight that you need to move when running, increasing your speed, with allomantic pewter to enhance a person speed signficantly, I think this would make Jugganuts good coureiers because of their enhanced speed and ability to jump large distances. This would work in tandem with the a pewter dragging(or just the enhanced endurance of pewter) and the fact that if they were running using decreased weight they wouldn't run out of metalmind store, meaning they can be a courier/runner for a long time without needing to rest. That would probally also make them great in a marathon. Another thing in the well of ascension Ham mentions how most Pewter misting belive that if their body is strong then burning petwter would make it even stronger, but Vin seems to be stronger because she has all that strength with a lesser weight, I think a person would A-Pewter F-Iron could get the best of both worlds, being very strong and being able to pack all that muscles into as little weight as they want
@@ExploringTheCosmere As a complete D&D nerd, trust me bro, it’s worth it. Also, The designers said that they made it for people who like the cosmere and want to get in to TTRPGs (and don’t play TTRPGs) so, if you do end up doing it, there won’t be a better game to learn. Thanks for reading my earlier comments
I think Heartstring is a better combo than you give it credit for. Allomantic Iron can cause quite a bit of property damage when you use it to travel in an urban environment no matter how careful you are. Feruchemical Duralumin’s ability to make you less noticeable will help weaken any connections people may draw between the crimes you may have accidentally committed and yourself. This power is great if you need to be the center of attention in certain situations, but stealthy in others (law enforcement, criminals, even certain entertainers benefits from this combo). Sorry for the ramble. I’m kind of hyper fixated on the Cosmere. EDIT: Reached the Bigshot point of the video. That’s on me for not watching the full video before commenting.

Yeah it would store at whatever the rate of time is inside the bubble
