Maybe compiling answers for some questions, that aren't answered in books? But probably Brandon answered them somewhere. Like, why Saze didn't fix people that lived beyond Empires' borders, technically leaving them to die because they were not accustomed to new (or old pre-imperial) climate?
@@eleishar18I theorize Saze saw into the future and came to the conclusion that Kelsier and the Ice Death would be necessary to stop Trell, to help Scadrial survive and advance. This is why he refused to let Kelsier get back to the Physical Realm. This is why he created ettmetal that Southern Scadrians could use in their technology. I also think Harmony created the Bands of Mourning and gave them to Kelsier. I’m just starting The Lost Metal so I’m probably missing some things 😅
The best overall Metals to be a Twinborn Compounder in are Bendalloy and Chromium since each Metal has one Combat Application (Speed Bubbles and Leeching respectively) and one Utility Application (Nutrient Storage and Luck respectively). One huge Wildcard is Duralumin though. If you could Compound Duralumin would it be possible to Connect to a Shardworld so strongly that you would gain the ability to use its Magic System? One example would be Sel. Would a Duralumin Compounder with enough Connection Stored up be able to become an Elantrian? Who knows…
I bet compounding duralumin would indeed allow you to become an elantrian, at least for as long as you are actively compounding it. I found this WoB that says Connection does help with magic systems: wob.coppermind.net/events/103/#e1021
Being a Steel Twinborn You can become Neo, at least partially (and it should be affordable) ;) Gold of course means unkillability (but it's freakin expensive). Tin equals being rich, because with such enhanced senses you can excel in very good paid jobs (like creating perfumes or being a professional sommelier).
Also being able to cool yourself on demand would indirectly increase your endurance quite significantly. Humans are already the best long distance runners amongst mammals, in large part because we can cool ourselves so efficiently through sweating and being mostly hairless. With ferruchemy you can guarantee a stable body temperature even more efficiently, and you are not getting dehydrated through sweating a lot. Of course you can tap breath and calories for better effect, but cooling is still good and unlike the others works through storing, so is basically unlimited
RAW: a double Duralumin Twinborn could be able to compound connection to basically be able to say "trust me bro" to anyone and be believed Very scary if a conman has it.
Wait... Right! Bro Lord ruler was too op. We only saw like 50% of his potential maybe less... But after 1000 years things were boring to him, possibly. F
My favorite is Duralumin. It seems useful if I don’t want to talk to people at a given moment in time, and it would make traveling easier with its language ability. Outside of that, Iron would also be useful. Being able to reduce weight to lower terminal velocity means I can do a ton of parkour safely, and being able to amplify weight might be usable for endurance training or something.
I really would want all of them. Feruchemy is my favorite of Sanderson's magic systems. If I had to choose, I would use copperminds. My memory is bad as it is, but being able to have access to an encyclopedia would be amazing.
Hemalurgy wouldn't be unethical if done correctly, the elderly and the dying could willing go through the procedure to pass there powers on to those who don't have it. SPOILERS era 2s discovery of Soul surgery is freaking awesome and horrorifying at the same time. It would allow for three things: ethical hemalurgy to continue to produce feucharist, which are genetic to our knowledge atm. 2. Could possibly allow other powers to be stolen from foreign worlds, Breathe comes to mind. (I havent finished WoKs yet), and finally, it may allow for the stealing of normal human attributes in a charge that doesnt disfigure the end user. This would allow for SUPER SOLDIERS on a MASS scale. Era 3 and 4 hype!
In my current life I'd choose bronze, brass, or bendalloy. They all seem useful in both storing and tapping in comparison with stuff like healing where it's fantastic to tap but terrible to store.
Glad you like it! I eventually will make videos on the nitty gritty parts of the Cosmere, such as Realmatic Theory. Do you have any suggestions for niche topics you would like to see videos on?
Ok so I haven't seen anyone mentione it but you misspelt energy as engergy at least that is what I think you wanted to write anyway nice video. Just wanted to write this if you ever remake the video or make a compilation
Sadly, Feruchemy does not align with the four quadrants of Allomancy. Storing warmth is a hybrid attribute like health, breath, and nutrition. And similarly, determination is a cognitive attribute like memory, wakefulness, and mental speed. This unfortunate asymmetry is one of the rare signs of Sanderson not finalizing the whole system before completing Era One. Wakefulness was one of the first feruchemical powers he decided on, so it wound up in the original eight metals, even though he eventually filled out four sets of four attributes that fit Realmatics so much better. It is too bad that breath didn't end up on zinc and nutrition on electrum, to let the alloy pairs stay consistent. My head canon claims that in a previous cycle of the Well, a Sliver bent the laws of feruchemy and swapped the powers of brass and electrum. Probably shouldn't be possible, but it does feel a little like the percentage of Seers in the misting population of Era One.
Its still not ethical to use Hemalurgy even on a nearly dead person. The process rips out their soul. That possibly keeps them from going to whatever afterlife the cosmere has.
Storing memories seems almost useless. Why don't they just write things down? They even write things down because the memories fade, so just carry a book instead of copper.
@eddieford9373 It still has benefits; when they pull memories from a coppermind, they are as fresh as having just read/experienced the information. The keepers used it to carry tens of thousands of books worth of information with them, so in their case, it was extremely useful.
@ExploringTheCosmere the main factor would be the weight and efficiency. If one copper bracelet weighs less than a book, it would be worth it for someone who travels, like Sazid. If you need to take the notes quickly, writing might take too long. Also, a book is much less durable but can be accessed by anyone. It seems like most of the feruchemy and allomancy the abilities are very limited and more situational than most other magic systems.

I’ve got to say the ability to store warmth would be so good in summer and therefore amazing in winter
That would be pretty great. Plus, Firesoul is one of the coolest Ferring names lol
I work outside this sounds awesome 😂, the ability to cool yourself down is OP, its very difficult to keep cool in the summer

I think bronze would be nice because sleep can get in the way of stuff.
Agreed! Bronze is my second favorite feruchemical metal

They'd be the most charismatic person to ever live lol. Kind of like a ta'veren
Useful in job interviews or as an ambassador.
Basically Naruto

@@Brandon-9 though he did not had Duralumin at that time, still terrifying though.
Storing breath is gonna be very useful in era 4
Gotta store all the Breaths

That's a good choice! Copper definitely offers one of the coolest and most pragmatic Feruchemical abilities.
I didn’t even know half of these names. Well done! And yes, I totally thought of Mat from WoT for the Spinner explanation.

Intriguing!
Love this channel, keep it up! Would love deeper dives into more niche parts of the Cosmere too!

Storing memories is quite incredible... but i think i would go with Bronze. Is just so really good.
I like to ponder how many videos I could create if I just stayed up working for a week straight tapping wakefulness from a bronzemind lol
@@ExploringTheCosmere And you could even use this to party HARDER, like that 15 day vacation completely awake, doing whatever you want!

Thanks!
Amazing video, i really enjoyed it! you should make more videos about possible theories like the one you made about shardblades!
Thanks! The next video I have planned will be a theory video
Great break down - liked and subbed
16:59 Are we talking about capital B breath like the spiritual essence of one's being from Warbreaker? Or just like...air?
Just regular air lol. You could likely store biochromatic breath in a nicrosilmind though based on this WoB: wob.coppermind.net/events/5/#e3236
@@ExploringTheCosmere Ooo thank you. The possibilities!
I would want to be a warm soul and twinborn, having also bendelao as allomancy metal
Very nice video, very informative. i am a cosmere-fan, but I did not know about some things! And I greatly enjoyed your funny little animations! :D
Glad you enjoyed it!
Always thought it was pronounced Fer-u-SHe-my
Yeah, I've heard it pronounced a few different ways before.
