Between my old job sorting bottles all day (VERY repetitive motion, plus I'm too tall for the sorting table so I had to hunch over), the fact that clothes my size never have big enough shoulders, and that backpacks (especially heavy ones) compress my shoulders together, this last half of a year has been killing this exact spot.

I've done all 3 at various times, although I used a pillow instead of a roller. It's interesting because I never looked up any techniques or anything, I just did what felt comfortable. I guess the body can sometimes tell what feels right or not.
I use a foam roller for my upper back but instead of doing a quick jerk, I tend to flex my neck up & down & also play with my center of balance, rocking my hips & so the amount of pressure from the foam roller on my back alternates. i wasn’t able to get any pops but the relief i felt was amazing !! this is probably the first time i’ve ever been able to relieve tension in my upper back by myself :)
There won't always be that 'pop' everyone wants. The main this is helping to improve range of motion of the joints, and it definitively worked for you. Glad we could help!
I just tried the chair thing and my back cracked and I almost started crying lol. Not sure if I was just that happy about the pain relief or if I just discovered some emotional component to my back pain that I need to work through now but either way THANK YOU 😅
Wow! Thanks so much! I have a complicated medical history, who doesn’t, eh? My excuse for not exercising has been because of pain and from locked up joints. What a great way to easy back into an exercise routine by starting with a number of your videos for relief and then in time add others for strength and fitness. Your help is truly an answer to prayers. Thank you sincerely.
I have always used the method 1 to open my thoracic up. Similar to method 2, I used a small household pillow in stead of the roller. Effect is not as good but it works as well. Idea is to lean back up and give the shoulder blades space to move way behind their normal position while building tension up between them. Works for me satisfactorily. Nice to have a validation here!!!
One of the best ways I’ve cracked my back was like the chair technique but instead of how you did it I’d push the the back of my chair into my back. First time I did it, cracked my whole back.
I get back pains so severe they cause my gut to cramp up and that cascades into nausea etc. which has been absolutely debilitating for me today, which is an important work day. This video took me from a pathetic mess to someone who finally felt 100% normal. I know, I know, I should see a doc, but that wouldn't have saved today for me. Thanks dude
My mother has a foam roller and over the holidays i was using it and it is the best feeling ever! After a day of walking, come in, foam roll. Perfection 😤 I forgot to steal it when I went home after Christmas.
I just tried this out, and my goodness, it feels so amazing to crack that upper back, especially when it feels like it's been clogged since forever, absolutely amazing feeling 🤤

Anyone else suddenly feeling the need to pop their back?
Me:
UA-cam: want to learn how to crack your back
Me: sure
Waoow....I tried this with the chair, and apparently it worked right away! Didn't know I had something wrong in the back of my chest, but I immediately felt a relief in my upper body.🙂
These comments are funny but I can't thank you enough. I've had this spot for months giving me pain finally got it. Awesome vid
Glad it helped!
i wasn’t able to get any pops but the relief i felt was amazing !! this is probably the first time i’ve ever been able to relieve tension in my upper back by myself :)
There won't always be that 'pop' everyone wants. The main this is helping to improve range of motion of the joints, and it definitively worked for you. Glad we could help!
I just tried the chair thing and my back cracked and I almost started crying lol. Not sure if I was just that happy about the pain relief or if I just discovered some emotional component to my back pain that I need to work through now but either way THANK YOU 😅
Thanks so much for watching!
My back is so tight and swollen that all of these just felt like my rib cage was gonna explode and wouldn’t even try to pop lol
“ so I hope you have a door frame” lol
Ha, you never know 🤷🏽
I know someone who doesnt lol
Fabrizio Herrera I just found it funny because I wasn’t expecting him to say that lol
That's cool but have you tried DMT.........
Door frame? Do you think I'm Rich? Lol
Holy crap thank you so much I was in a lot of pain from heavy lifting
Thanks again for watching!
The Hunchback of Notre Dame left the group
😂😂😂
OMG! This is mean 🤣🤣🤣
I really benefitted from this video. Had a shooting pain at the left back beneath shoulder blade and the door frame crack method saved me ♥️🌹
Great to hear it helped you a lot, thanks for watching!
You are life saver. Suffering from back pain for yearssss. Thank you so muchhhhhh
Thanks so much for watching, and I hope the exercises help for a long time to come!
@@DrRowe thanks so much ♡
this guy deserves the world.
One of the best ways I’ve cracked my back was like the chair technique but instead of how you did it I’d push the the back of my chair into my back. First time I did it, cracked my whole back.
Thanks for sharing!
same here
So excited to be going back to school to do this move in the morning
I used to do the first one sitting at my desk in middle school. It's very effective!
Thanks dude
omg my upper back has been popping almost every time i take a deep breath for over a year and the chair stretch fixed it, thank you so much
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching too.
Absolute legend, been popping my lower back for a bit but searching for that new high of popping my upper back
Thanks for watching!
Love your straight to the exercise videos, no long drawn out blah blah blah. Ps really helping.
Thanks so much for watching!
who else if watching this at 3am?
My mother has a foam roller and over the holidays i was using it and it is the best feeling ever! After a day of walking, come in, foam roll. Perfection 😤 I forgot to steal it when I went home after Christmas.
I just tried this out, and my goodness, it feels so amazing to crack that upper back, especially when it feels like it's been clogged since forever, absolutely amazing feeling 🤤
