First time I’ve ever commented on a UA-cam video. My back has had low level pain for half a decade. Constant. I always tried to crack it with a foam roller, but forgot how to use it. I did the door frame method. Instant relief. Instant. My back feels better than it has in literally five years. I’m astounded. I can already feel it tensing again, that’s how tight my back is... but I’m excited to try this again. Thank you.

Hey, I had a crick just under my right shoulder blade for days and it was driving me nuts! I tried your foam roller technique and didn't initially have any success, but when I sat back up, I quickly twisted to the right and got the pop I needed! You loosened me up enough to get what I needed! Thanks!

i just wanted to thank you for giving so many methods to do this. im a small person, the back on most chairs is too high for me to do the chair exercise. i dont have a foam roller and my wingspan isnt enough to fill the doorway. had you not included the one sided method, none of the others would have worked for me in this moment. thank you again
Lol I still think about those chairs. at the end of the day in high school it felt so good the first few times it made me dizzy. At least from what I remember. Why is that some people feel lightheaded when they pop their neck or back, Dr. Rowe?
The best back cracks I remember was leaning back while pushing the top of the desk at school, but that's been a couple decades ago. I'll have to try this advice.
Without knowing I’ve been doing the chair one for about 4 years in the school chairs, i thought i was doing something wrong but the relief was so good i kept doing it.
Duuuuuude, i've been so uncomfortable having to lay in bed the whole last week after getting surgery, and the 1st and 3rd stretch made me feel great!!! Thank you so much!
THIS is the back pain video I've needed. Between my old job sorting bottles all day (VERY repetitive motion, plus I'm too tall for the sorting table so I had to hunch over), the fact that clothes my size never have big enough shoulders, and that backpacks (especially heavy ones) compress my shoulders together, this last half of a year has been killing this exact spot.
sorting tables in most warehouses and factories are for short women in my opinion. its made at a universal height and does not accommodate for people like myself at 5ft11 and above.
life changing information for me. I'm always locked up in my thoracic vertebrae. Now I'm able to release them without help of another person. THANK YOU!
I had to improvise the first one by sitting on the ground and using the tub wall, but it worked. Just one deep pop and all that stiffness over the last three days was gone instantly.
Dude, you just saved me a lot of time, money, and hassle. I've had this aching soreness in my upper back (to the right of my spine), and the chair trick worked a small pop, but it immediately felt *so* much better! Thank you so much for making this video!
So glad that this popped up on my feed. I am on my feet at least 8 hours a day as well as as my desk nearly all of my free time and that spot hurts like hell sometimes. Didn't get a pop, but I did get some awesome stretching that relieved a little bit. Will definitely keep this one in mind.
Omg you are a miracle!!!. I slept in a incorrect position and have had this crank in my upper back for the past like 4 days and I just got it out with that satisfying pop sound and no pain.
Omg the first one worked right away, i had a tightness in my shoulder blades that I could feel in my chest, literally could feel it woth every breath. All gone now!! Thanks so much!
I talked about my neck hurting around my roommate earlier today and now these crack your body things are showing up... UA-cam listens in on our conversations while phone is in our pockets.... Scary shit
Tried everything, been dealing with this pain for over 2 years now. Fighting through workouts, losing sleep due to uncomfortability, bad, bad, pain trying to sit or stand and play the blues on my guitar. The foam roller trick was all I needed. For a while I thought it was my spleen or my heart or lung. Very thankful that I came across this channel!!!!! Thank You sooooooooo Much!!!!!
I discovered these through self experimentation and have been doing them for a couple years now. It’s great to see some kind of validation that I’m doing something right, thank you
I use a foam roller for my upper back but instead of doing a quick jerk, I tend to flex my neck up & down & also play with my center of balance, rocking my hips & so the amount of pressure from the foam roller on my back alternates. Controlling your breathing helps a bunch too! I find when I concentrate on continuously taking slow, steady, deep breaths, I get better pops & cracks then if I’m holding my breath
I was desperate. After this it helped me so much. Now that spot pops on its own. As soon as it gets tense I just stretch and crack. I don’t need to put my back against anything anymore.🤗 It is the best feeling in the world!

One of the best ways I’ve cracked my back was like the chair technique but instead of how you did it I’d push the the back of my chair into my back. First time I did it, cracked my whole back.
I have always used the method 1 to open my thoracic up. Similar to method 2, I used a small household pillow in stead of the roller. Effect is not as good but it works as well. Idea is to lean back up and give the shoulder blades space to move way behind their normal position while building tension up between them. Works for me satisfactorily. To get my upper back and neck (almost) I lay down on a hard surface, place my hands behind me, ontop of eachother at the base of the skull. And then exhale as I pull my neck forward and raise upwards. I get like several *clonk clonk clonk* noise as I recoil up. Sometimes I'll do it once more to be sure. For other ways to do my back I'll lay down and make a small fist and place it under my back, I just put pressure on and get nice crack. And I'll do this going up or down to get all the areas. Also while sitting down I can put my arms back and push my shoulder blades together and i get a crack there too
I have never been able to pop my upper middle back myself! Last night I had heartburn ❤️🔥 so bad I almost went to the hospital. I have scoliosis. I do have a foam roller and I tried that technique. There won't always be that 'pop' everyone wants. The main this is helping to improve range of motion of the joints, and it definitively worked for you. Glad we could help!
Anyone else suddenly feeling the need to pop their back?
You are life saver. Suffering from back pain for yearssss. Thank you so muchhhhhh
Thanks so much for watching, and I hope the exercises help for a long time to come!
@@DrRowe thanks so much ♡
My left shoulder blade has had a knot for forever and nothing has worked. The second method you showed has been the only thing to work! Thank you!!
Glad you’re getting relief, and thanks for watching!
Thank you it worked! I've got so much relief ❤️

I don’t have a doorframe so I’m gonna borrow one
Hopefully, you can call in a favor. Thanks for watching!

10 years ago I searched hard for this info to no avail ..I ended up learning by trial and error. Thanks for the videos. God bless you
Thanks for watching!
Been doing that for years. Usually sit on the floor infront of the couch and it pops everytime! Feels so good!
Also while sitting down I can put my arms back and push my shoulder blades together and i get a crack there too
Thanks for sharing!
Love your straight to the exercise videos, no long drawn out blah blah blah. Ps really helping.
Thanks so much for watching!
God bless the Reacommended page
Glad you found the video!
These comments are funny but I can't thank you enough. I've had this spot for months giving me pain finally got it. Awesome vid
Glad it helped!
I have never been able to pop my upper middle back myself! Last night I had heartburn ❤️🔥 so bad I almost went to the hospital. I have scoliosis. I do have a foam roller and I tried that technique. I barely started rolling and that spot that needed to crack popped immediately!! I can not thank you enough for making this video!! I tried to see my chiropractor today and she said tomorrow. I was desperate and did a goggle search and found you!! Thank you so much for giving me much needed relief!! Honestly you literally saved my sanity!!❤️❤️❤️
Absolute legend, been popping my lower back for a bit but searching for that new high of popping my upper back
Thanks for watching!

@Explodingtraps lol
This is the first comment that actually made me crack up 😂
Walk it off
🤣🤣🤣
Leans into the door frame and "Smooth Criminal" starts playing.
So I was doing it right, but needed that extra technique. Masterclass indeed. So valuable.
Thank you... I just tried to door frame technique and it amazingly worked for me.. I didnt think it would but it did!
That was awesome.
Glad it’s helping, and thanks for watching!
Oh finally, sweet relief. Thank you
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching too.
I immediately straightened up when you mentioned posture lol
Good posture is key!
I was watching it around my gf and she immediately did the same thing lol
The shoulder one leading in the doorway really worked for me. Now my shoulders feels much better. Thanks! N now I'ma have to try this one too. Haha
Great to hear the exercises are helping, and thanks so much for watching!
I have never clicked on a video this fast. I am always asking my wife to help adjust me. This (the chair) helped so much. I will continue to try the others as I’m sure they didn’t work due to me trying them all in succession
