You have us identify the nerve root by the c number but then have the excrecises identified by medial, ulnar or radial. which exercises are for c-8?

Understand that it is impossible, maybe. But maybe there would be a database, where you could save pictures from your followers, showing dislocated parts :) Family just took a picture of me trying an exercise:
Flat back on floor, rubber band to Left arm 90 angle in elbow against floor, then lift hand/arm straight up. Try to move arm/hand along side and palm on the floor, then back up Left shoulder can´t be hold against floor floating above ground, so left under arm have problem to let palm to floor. Strong pain in shoulder outside arm. Yes, off course the right shoulder is aligned to surface when exercise. Anyway, wife is nurse, say it shall not be like that... MD's must have had other training :)

I visited physical therapy for months last year to get rid of numbness caused by my ulnar nerve. It helped a bit but never totally abated. This one exercise, after performing one time, has given me so much more relief than those months of physical therapy. Thank you!! ~Alicia M.

Been struggling with this for years and it has effected me emotionally so much, I could not go for a ten minute walk without my arm getting numb. Literally just started laughing of joy when doing these exercises because I felt that something was finally helping. Thanks once again for everything!

I’ve been having painful discomfort in my arm and shoulder blade for over three weeks, which made it difficult to ride my bike, play soccer, and even perform simple tasks like tying my shoes. This not only affected my physical activities but also took a toll on my mental well-being and sleep. After watching these helpful exercises within 2-3 days I noticed significant improvement. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! 😊 💪🏻

AMAZING! I went to PT for 2 years, at 2 different clinics in 2 different states. It took the second clinic 7 months to discover that my shoulder injury damage to my brachial plexus and they only showed me the final exercise of this video exercise if this set. It's been 3.5 years from initial injury and I so can't sleep trig the night due to pain. I've tried multiple beds and even couches. I have taken so many steroids and NSAIDS that my bones have started to show damageand I have been ordered to stop them. I tried this video and I experienced everything he said from pain to numbness to tingling and after I completed my very first set, I already feel better.

      Hello,
I am searching videos looking for relief to my shoulder issue and I am not sure I am describing it correctly. I was told by a chiropractor that I had "shoulder destabilization". So far they have done a couple adjustments for some relief. What i am having feels like a pulled muscle or something twisted in my arm and subsequent spasming or maybe catching in my deltoid muscles. Enough so that it completely stops my mobility in that arm until I can get the spasm to stop. In many ranges of motion my arm appears fine, but is randomly temperamental. I notice if I rotate (as if swinging a golf club right handed. My back will pull as I enter deeper rotation, and many times I can trigger a spasm if as I return to position or finish the swing range (doing this slowly of course as I am still trying to explore the problem.) The spasm tends to center right on the rear deltoid under the shoulder blade.
Is there any advice, or anything that I can add that may help with any suggestions? Thank you for your time!
I am trying to take it easy, but also find some balance of keeping mobility.

I’ve been dealing with excruciating pain in the right shoulder blade area running down my right arm.
Been doing everything, stretching, foam rollers, crazy popping that isn’t working & over massaging with every thing under the sun that is just irritating the area more in my opinion, this just helped beyond anything I’ve done. New morning routing & night routine.
& seeing a specialist this weekend so here’s to hopefully being pain free soon enough.

This video is a godsend! Helped me realize all my pain areas and the effective stretch for that.
I am going to update my daily progress here.
Day 1- The stretches helped me identify all the pain areas, The Radial and Ulnar Nerve gave me the most pain with a sharp sensation towards the end of every stretch. It did centralize the pain as he said. I had to take an ibuprofen that night to be able to sleep because the symptoms were a little more than usual.
Day 2- I went a little slow, only did this once for the day. The pain was definitely less and I was able to coordinate my stretches better. I tried to sleep on a rolled towel to give my neck relief. I tried to follow Dr. Jon's sleeping instructions from another video. That helped very much because I realized I was sleeping in a bad posture on the wrong pillow, all along!
Day 3 I had a decent sleep the previous night and decided to do all the stretches thrice according to the given sets and reps. My neck was definitely opening up! I ordered a cervical pillow and slept on that the same night.
Today is day 4 and need I say, I've made so much progress already! My neck is more flexible, I know my pain areas better, and also realize how much tension I hold during my day, at the laptop or just scrunching my arms during sleep. The pillow also added to my relief and I slept on my back and side with ease. I have added a few shoulder stretches to my routine as well. Moving forward, I am also making sure I am mindful of the tension and stress that I hold in my body and reduce that. I can't afford PT or a Doctor at the moment, and I think this video has helped a ton.
I think the first step to healing is mindfulness towards daily activity and care.

ONLY your exercises helped me with my awkward right side moving pain from neck down to my hips. Nerves are all connected at the exit of the spinal cord, thats why nerve flossing is the only way. When the weather gets cold and damp, it gets worse, sometimes the pain around my neck makes me feel dizzy that i cant function. Sometimes antiinflammatory pain killers stop working. Nerve flossing seem like the only way so I am very blessed that I have found your valuable channel.

Thank you! Just the little I did as I followed your video helped this chronic pinched pain of the left shoulder blade! I feel hopeful that if I do your recommended sets and reps, the pain will be a thing of the past. Any idea why this happens to some folks? I am 75, teach yoga, very fit and body aware.... My idea is that it's muscle imbalances due to a bit of scoliosis, or due to all the issues that are on the left side of my body - left foot pronated from birth, L knee injury in 2022, chronic thoracic tightness pain, a bit of forward head posture (that I am always striving to correct)

I began to have pain in my right shoulder and upper arm about 6 months ago. I visited an ortho surgeon that had performed surgery on my left shoulder a few years ago. He examined me and took x-rays. Determined nothing wrong with shoulder structure. Gave me a list of exercises to perform for strengthening. I performed the exercises for a couple of weeks and saw no improvement. I called him to get a referral to a nerve/back specialist. Saw him. He ordered extensive x-rays and an MRI. He determined I have arthritis in my cervical and thoracic areas. This is causing a few pinched nerves. He performed a nerve block/steroid injection. That gave relief for a couple of days. I saw his assistant and she said I could get another injection or try therapy. I chose therapy. After four or five therapy sessions and a dry needle procedure I'm still not over this. I have experienced some weeks a couple of days where I feel much better. But then some days I'm back to the same level of pain. My pain was not bad the last two days. But this morning it returned at it's worse. I just made a quick attempt at these exercises and I'm feeling better. I'll keep trying these to see if I can get better. I'm a 74 year old male in decent shape and fairly strong. This impairment is very depressing.

Hello. I have a question. So I suffer from an old shoulder injury and it's gotten worse since I started working out again. I assumed it was an impingement but the pain would shoot down my forearm and sometimes I'll feel it in my triceps. Just following along this one time has given me relief though. Can you have both? As in a pinch nerve and impingement? Or are the symptoms of a pinched nerve similar to an impingement?

I had a herniated disk in my neck and pain down my right arm for a whole month. Hard to sleep even. It was horrible. I was so desperate, tried everything to prevent surgery. The thing that finally made the pain go away was fasting for two days. So I definitely recommend people try that as well. 💜💜💜

Thanks for the tips ! I'm 85 and got that old neck and like your idea of holding chair seat and stretching the muscles , one side at a time . Trying to use a rubber ball at neck while in my vibrator recliner , that seems to help ! Just tell them to not sit very long and pray for there's not any golden years out there in this flesh world .Some are messed up a long time before , even in our youth .

Hi Dr Jon, in your previous version of this video, you included a lordosis stretch/traction. Is there any reason to remove it?
I might add that I've gotten enormous relief from following those techniques. I start with the nerve flosses, then your 4-minute forward head posture routine and finish with your perfect posture exercises (14 day challenge). I have C5 & C8 minor nerve impingement and major C7. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your education and help.

So, a few days into this exercise plan, I'm walking my dogs this morning and it dawned on me that posture was correct without intentionally doing anything! I'm blown away that this was so effective so quickly. Although I had to work up to them, I think the reverse wall plank and thoracic traction helped the most.

    Thanks Dr. Jon Saunders
I have pain in my right shoulder then move to the back of my arm and neck. This started due to doing push-ups without warming up. The pain doubled while driving, there was a huge pain that started in my shoulder and then went down to my arm. The pain did not go away until I lay down and returned when I sat in a chair. I can no longer sit in a chair and I cannot drive for a more than 30mn. I tried to treat it with some exercises, but the pain increased.
The exercises you recommended in this video helped a bit !
Can you please expect the reason, why ?

    • @drjonsaunders
