Funny at the end of the video you said “I’m speechless “ ....to be honest I never heard more talking in a 50 minute video , love the rescue of a TA thou
"Now who wouldn't want this car in their life?" Your words my friend! SO PLEASE finish this project! Please! Just selling it off is not the way to go. This will be an EPIC build and will take you to another level of..... Well... CAR GUY! LOL. And it might just take your channel much higher as people slowly start watching this cool build. In your next video put an awesome thumb of that hood or just the car itself! That's how subbs come. It takes a little while and some tenacity to get the ball rolling but this is the car and build that could do it! I LOVE this car (If you couldn't tell LOL). Thanks for the great content!
My 1st husband found a maroon '78 Trans-AM. I had to put a cushion on the seat to be able to see the front end while driving. She was a great car!! Brings back memories. Nice work James. She looks great just the way she is. ❤😊❤
I love the car. I’d paint the outline of the firebird on the hood to make it pop. Love the work you did. A awesome engine in it tires snd rims. Updated interior. Anyone would want it. It looks bad ass now
This thing is easily worth 8-10,000.00 to the right person the way it sits back here in Ontario. Awesome job. Makes me want to find a patena project in my future. Right now finishing my dad’s 1966 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible. Then my 1966 Dodge Monaco Convertible. After both are done I think it’s time for a Patena project.Always wanted to do one. Thanks for the push in that direction.
81's always had the least rust. I've owned 15 77-81 T/A's all over 25 years ago. The 81's were in a different league and i had 4 Y84 81's 2 were 301 automatic 2 were 305 4 speed. All were my personal cars. I re-did 7 of them. Body and Paint and some the whole drive train. I bought an 81 Y84 301 car from the original owner in 93 for $800 and the a/c stilled worked like new. No one believed i paid that low for it. I got lucky and it was straight with no rust but the paint was on its way out. I think i'm gonna get another one soon.
Very cool James! Looks awesome!Inspiring stuff
Not a big fan of patina, but I have to admit that does look Really cool. Can't wait to see it Burning rubber

Sweet Turbo came out amazing
That patina is amazing on that car I wish I had that body
That's a small block Chebby. You can tell by squared off rocker covers and the exhaust manifolds.
Looks amazing,good job.

@@shawnlondon2140 thanks Shawn. I need to get back on this project.
Definitely a project there keep it coming motivation cant wait to see how this turns out watching an learning don't stop the magic 👀 🍿 💪
Damn...That looks good 👍
I am rooting for this car. I am not a big fan of "patina" but that clear will give it protection.
Yeah. Paint that thing back black.
the engine cherry picker chained to the latch is a good trick for getting a hood on by yourself
I think it's going to be kick ass!
The new turbo Trans am clear coat finish is awesome
Cant wait to see it done
Keep up the great work!
Sweet bird. I had 1975 T.A .
I didn't know from where I've recognised you, than I saw you're from Rust Valley. Nice build!!
Cheers! Thanks for watching
Very cool
Keep the wheels though
Love it!!!
At least it’s back on the road maybe. Lots of people like shiny rust and dents , I’m not one of ‘em.
I have that same car with a shot body with a brand new 301 turbo in it
Love the clear coated patina. what clear did you use?
Nice very nice
That moment when you see a hood you been looking for forever for your TA and it's just hanging on a guys shop wall,sigh......
that looks fucken sic!
Pretty sure it's a 81 as the gas flap has the Phoenix which I think was 81 only
Use a 4.8 in it so it’s like the same as the original 301
DO ANOTHER EPISODE ON THIS PLEASE MY DAD HAS ONE FULLY ORIGINAL
We still have Alley Cat and plan to keep working on it. So more episodes will come for sure. Thanks for watching and your Dad has one sweet ride.
No ls swap please.
That’s not a Pontiac 301 that’s a Chevrolet 305.
NO TRADUCTION
i dont like the clear coat, the car is worth moore and that i think
Don't mind patina, but this is a trans am, so not for me. Seems wrong some how.
Scrapping out a turbo TA.wtf
