Well that was 28 minutes of my life I'll never recover!!
stopped at 2:44 as I was thinking the same thing already. How they praise the construction quality made me think twice.
The show was good but the information about the bikes afterword showed how poorly they were made. They were constructed to be show pieces and put in windows or taken to conventions, not actually used. Great for the show and the business but not what I would call quality. Let alone how much construction was actually not done by Orange County but hired out to other contractors. Loved the show but once you know how the sausage is made it is a little less amazing. :~(
I believe this show was about who is a better between father and son, I think sr was starting to see healthy relationships jr was having rick and vinnie and cody and sr had to bribe for that and sr began being competitive which lead to sr being abusive and explaining to mikey that he has a right to do it on tv, thats what ill never respect, you keep that ish in your home not in public, there is not a 40 year old anywhere that will okay this mans behavior.
Why did you watch
@@pennybozok3549 because he kept waiting for the woman to come out. Instead it turned out Kinky Kelly was the donkey and the sexy stud was the guy. Was not the donkey show he expected too see.
I watched several seasons of the show. Senior drove me up the wall. His temper tantrums were childish. His design ideas were limited. His technical abilities nothing without everyone else doing the work. I'm glad Junior, Mikey and Vinny are doing well. Junior and Vinny were the real talent. And both are flexible and forward thinking. Senior could learn a thing or two if he wasn't a massive ego on legs! I think Junior was sick of Senior sh1te and that's why he was so disrespectful.
Old Paul and his tattoos and the ridiculous fur around his mouth don't make him look macho, which is
surely what he's after. All their creations are only good for a bike show. They are totally impractical
for any transportation. They just got ridiculous with their "creations " after a few shows. Just a bunch
of stupid drama . It became a joke show. Cheers, boys and girls.
Junior , vinny & Ric , were the real builders , and yes Snr was a real pain in the ass .
@@jamiejones4746yeah. Rick was definitely the real deal.
Senior had taken drugs previous in his life and you could easily see how much that fucked up his brain.
But you watched. As you did this video. That was the whole point. They don't care if you like the show or hate it. As long as you watch, they get paid.
Rick Petco was the REAL craftsman on that show. I'll never forget Paul Jr. on the first episode pounding an axle into a hole that wasn't quite big enough. Paul Jr. has much more imagination than his father when it comes to design. However, I rode motorcycles for years (mostly Brit bikes) & I don't think OCC ever built a bike I would ride.
It would be hard to trust it far away from home
Seems like there was always chaos and when things came up with parts not fitting, then more chaos. Paul Jr pounding the non fitting part . 😂
OCC built bikes for display, not for riding.
You're not alone. There's a LOT of OCC bikes in the secondary market and they're all crap.
Those bikes were not MEANT to be ridden. Dude, they were just props for a TV show. THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS REALITY TV.
It's intriguing to witness how each member navigated their way through personal and professional endeavors after the show ended. From legal disputes to successful ventures, the cast's stories continue to captivate audiences, demonstrating the lasting impact of the iconic reality TV series.
Few people these days remember the early days, big inch motors didn't arrive in a packing case already built and if you wanted something in the basic construction of the bike to look trick you made it yourself. I built my Harley, 93 inch Shovelhead motor, Delkron cases, S&S internals, dual plugged, Crane roller rockers,. outer cases scroll engraved by hand. The bike had a rigid frame, 7" over girders by P&P and was made to be ridden hard. Also scratch built a copy of a Hydra Glide using a stock spec custom rigid frame and an 80 inch Evo motor, right down to straight red paint and chrome metal decals it looked the part. Having done that you tend to see through some of the OCC bike builds, yes brilliant fabricating skills but were some of the cock ups done just for the camera? Bikes taking a dive off lifts because they weren't strapped down, parts sent for chrome that needed more work, sometimes welding and the best one was the fuel tank that had been painted that had no fitting for a tap, I was a motorcycle mechanic for 48 years and if I had done any of those kind of things I would have been shown the door.
Exactly what I am talking about. These people (SR primarily) built a piece of art but not a "real build" like you built and build. Crate motors, poor build quality and lack of durability.
thast why this was a show the bikes were not made for comfort they were show pieces occ has been around for a long time and they made good bikes if you knew what specs you were looking for
@@gokuvegeta7770 well the Shovel I built has a rigid frame, 7 inch overstock girders and an unsprung seat so no comfort. My bike was shown but it was ridden to shows no matter what the weather, 4 hour cleaning job before the show started but it proved my bike was not what we call in England a coffee table. Nice as the OCC bikes look that are featured on their shows they are built as promotion bikes for companies or wealthy collectors. Indian Larry's machines where built to be used as mine was. If a bike is unreliable or a crap ride what use is it ?
@@mikecartlidge5355 thats why i said it was a show piece i think we are both on the same page i think you misunderstood what i was saying
@@gokuvegeta7770 Hi I see what you mean now. No offence meant.
I owned and ran a motorcycle shop for many years, both with a partner and by myself. I have actually had a couple of these TV famous bikes make it across my table. The first OCC bike I ever saw in person was at a motorcycle trade show sponsored by Snap-On tools. Go figure, guess which bike was there. I was not impressed. A few months later one of their bikes showed up at my shop for electrical issues. It took my a while to figure it out but the means for fusing electrical systems just blew my mind. The fact that they actually used Rev-Tech engines and transmissions was the last straw for any kind of respect as a motorcycle builder. I've also had West Coast Choppers motorcycles cross my table and was actually impressed. While they still were dealing with the chopper industries growing pains, there were no shortcuts taken or cheaper "Budget Engines" used. It was either Harley Davidson or S&S engines, Harley Davidson or Baker transmissions. So the quality was there. For the first 10 years of the shop, I kinda enjoyed the money influx from the "Bikes are cool again" scene, but it actually got to the point where I refused to work on any kind of chopper. Towards the end when I finally closed my shop, I refused to even change oil on any of these choppers. In the old days, you took a complete bike, tore it apart and built it your way. The China produced parts did not exist. When TV discovered bikes, the China parts flooded the market, Korean parts flooded the market and quality took a back seat to good looks. In that same amount of time, I built one custom bike a year. I can actually tell you where most of them are today, because most of them are still being ridden today.
I saw a couple of bikes of there's at bike shows in K.C. and Sedalia. I was NOT impressed by the build quality. All the hardware came right out of the J&P catalog and the paint was not what I'd expected.
Wow. Awesome update
There is always that one person in every family that keeps the peace, that was me in my dad's business. My sis was always the logistics, I relate to Mikey more, but always wanted to be taken seriously more than what I was known for. But I am praying to the Lord for that dynamic to change.
Paul senior lives in Brooksville, Florida. I saw him having breakfast at The Breakfast station at the corner of Cortez and Broad street (Winn Dixie Shopping plaza) about a month ago.
It's an impressive video because of how many different ways the narrator can pronounce Teutul.
Vinnie was the most valuable member of the whole team. I’m glad he’s doing well.
I think u mean Rick was the most valuable. Vinny was just friends with the family not the best mechanic
@@Shawn-Leidernaw Vinnie was the most valuable . Rick
just kissed seniors a$$ all the time.
Loved this show back in its prime. Strong sense of family yet they would go off on insane meltdowns. Mikey was so funny. Always felt bad for Rick and Vinny as they were caught in the crossfire and didn't look like they enjoyed it much. They also got stuck doing most of the work. Rick seemed by far to be the most talented craftsman.
It was a show geared towards slower thinking humans 😂😂😂
"Strong sense of family"
You can't be serious. This show like all reality shows was so phony.
Any Family business is hard on relationships! I salute these talented artists they made the easy rider Cool again!! Amazing stuff all of you!! Thx!! Btw my brother Robert Eck of Eck plastics( Binghamton NY)made mirrors for yall and Always had positive remarks about your Shop Culture! God Bless you men!! And Merry Christmas
They sure have you fooled!!
@@JohnJohn-wr1jo Yep, all drama and contrived. They had a good run, since it was a new
"cool" show making cool motorcycles . Fooled a lot of people for a while. Cheers.
The show was a success because of a perfect storm of events! The real estate boom of the early-mid-2000's put loads of money in people's pockets which they could and would spend on custom bikes! Other shows, like West Coast Choppers and even car fabricator shows like Fouse and Pimp my Ride, were huge but by 2007-8, the money disappeared, and the show became more about the drama than the builds because frankly, no one could afford these excessive monstrosities! But it was good the first few years!
Fake ass people. Fake bikes. Fake show.
The fake family drama didn’t hold me either.
You don’t need to hear what I thought about ‘The Apprentice’!
Summed it up nicely.
I had a friend that bought one had to have one he paid plenty. God knows how much anyway he couldn’t take it for a ride every time he rode it he broke down every single time.
A guy I worked with also bought one and it ALWAYS broke down 😂
When the show first came on and the focus was strictly on bike building, I was hooked. When it evolved into a soap opera I was done. Other shows that featured other builders became my go to shows. I loved watching Indian Larry, Jesse James etc. They were building bikes not acting like idiots. Indian Larry was by far my favorite show. His bikes were more basic mechanically but great designs in the frames and tins were over the top.. He was an artist concerned about building a functional working riding machine.
Devolved. I hear you!! It went down with the angst ridden drama.
@@kaleidoscope8743 Without the drama the show would have been cancelled, mainly because the bikes really weren't any good. I mean, some of them looked good, but you couldn't ride any of them for a longer period of time, considering they had barely any suspension.
Out of all of them, Rick Petco is a magician with metal. I'll admit im pretty good making stuff out of metal. The main thing you need is Imagination 😜. Cody has definitely changed. The old man was good for making decisions and screaming for no apparent reason.
Senior was old school, Junior was new school, that's why the always clashed. Junior proved how good he was when he set up his own company, he even designed a bike in his head without putting it on paper. Mikey was funny, Rick is a great fabricator, Vinny looked like he just got fed up in the end.
they clashed because they were both W A N K E R S ... lol.... no need to sugar wrap B U L L S H I T . It is what it is
@@VinceTomJones Yep, you nailed it, and they are laughing all the way to the bank.
@@VinceTomJones YUP! I knew old school hard core chopper builders from the 50s and 60s. They laugh at Senior trying to pass himself off as an old school Chopper builder. Maybe an old school rider but his building skills are basic and sloppy. WANKERS Indeed! Not a fan of Jessy James but he was spot on calling them cake decorators, not bike builders. Rick Petco had more skill in his pinky than Senior whole life.
PAUL TOOTLE!!! 🤣 Shows how much this narrator knows
Yeah, he could have done even a minuet of research and learned how to pronounce their damn name.... 😂😂😂
It's a ROBO-Announcer... LAZY Post Production jerk wads didn't check for errors!
@@Dogsled1000 -- "...a minuet..."?? So it was a French dance from days of yore, done in triple time???
Pretty sure he said 'two tools' more than once?
Their name is spelled Teutel, so pronouncing it two-tul is correct.
After watching this this and seeing Jr and his wife, I got flash back of John Lennon and Yoko... she was on camera for no reason! 😄😄😄
Honestly, I thought that about Jr. himself too. He always acted like he was the only one who worked, while he was the least talented, and overall looked like a spoiled kid, who really needed to be bent over Daddy's knee.
@@Noneofyourbusiness1207 Exactly! Every bike basically looked the same to me. Glueing a baseball onto the tank didn't make it look like it represented a baseball team. They would basically get a stock looking frame and put on a V-twin powertrain. stick on some blink crap and charge a 100 grand. Tax right offs for businesses I guess!
To be fair, Jr's wife was on for a few reasons, blonde, 2 big boobs, or a big stuffed bra and skin tight pants. :)
Yeah, the Gears of War Trike looked just like the Spider bike, lol. Dude SU@@Dogsled1000
I nearly passed this by as there are so many pathetic "where are they now" vids on UA-cam.
Thank you for an informative and as positive as possible update on this great show.
what happened?
It was the recipe of great talent that made the show! Everyone played a key role! The artistry was amazingly impressive! It proves, you can’t judge raw talent by how it walks, talks, and breathes!
The constant mispronunciation of their last name almost made me sick, and the chaos of the story line left me thinking "thank God this is over".
I agree
Whaaaa it wasn't Paul Too-tull? Hahaha
Yes! I just commented that! It rhymes with PUDDLE!
I felt the same. Then I realized he was saying two tools! And that made more sense. How many times did I watch this show and wonder, “what are these two tools up to now”?
Made it to 3:01 before running to the shitter to barf.
they generally made 'carrousel' bikes. Hardly any of them would qualify as 'daily drivers'. Jessie was right- glorified 'cake decorators'.
The father with his ego issue destroyed this show. Jr was building people's dreams with the team that was present. The father totally destroyed this family and show.
Scripted. JUST IN TIME FOR SCRIPTSTMAS!!!!!!!
Yes is too bad , Could of , Should of , Oh well life goes on .
I agree. Some are blaming Junior the failure but it was Senior's decision to misappropriate the funds given to him to continue American Chopper.
@@ToniHunterOne I think it was just too much drama. Viewers always know just about every show it would be some type of drama sparked up by Sr. When the job was finished they all hugged each other. It made no sense. People got tired of that same script
Sr. was building gates and fences, he should have stuck to that.
He got greedy when bike prices started going up due to dummies seeing them on TV and becoming willing to shell out crazy amounts of money just to say they had OCC bike
I loved American chopper the first couple seasons, then got burnt out
Love'em or hate'em, Junior has INSANELY mad skills!!!
Says ,, one fan oh sorry 3, unless you liked your own comment
@@f87115 Sorry that you got so triggered. Good Lord, you might want to pull your panties out of your a$$ before you hurt someone.
Loved those episodes
The Toodles! I'm dying! You may want to check that!
Their bikes are no more than what any bike mechanic could build with welding skills.
I think they used to charge $100,000 - $180,000 per bike. I think that Bikes and Beards guy bought a used one for $7500.
False. To bend and shape metal is no easy task. They make most of their parts, sans the frame, engine and wheels, but the tank, bars, and many other are hand built.
Thank you. I rode a motorcycle just once as a passenger when I was about 10. The guy crashed at low speeds, and I never got back on since then. Best to be safe than sorry.😊
Hi A.l. Narrator Nice vid.
😄😂😉
I watched this show from start to finish back in the day. It got pretty sad for me seeing the dad always having such a massive drama with Paulie.
It did lose its shine from there on.
Rick was the best fabricater at OCC and vinnie A good builder making them the most valuable people at OCC...
And I liked Cody...
Very sad how OCC destroyed it's self...
Haha it’s called Hollywood, chewed up and spit out ,, but we keep seal clapping
Sr. is up here in Brooksville, FL hanging out!
Is his restaurant still open ?
Great show, no regrets.
How odd that Mike Rowe"s 2003-2012 (and still vey visible and popular in re-runs) hit series "Dirty Jobs" is not mentioned as one of his primary, and most renown, activities. Also weird that no real detail is provided on Paul Teutul Sr's arrest/court case.....Whaaat?
"Dirty Jobs" was mentioned near the end.
Shock waves around the world? First time I've heard of anything about Paul snr. and still no clue as to what it's all about if anything.
Are you a sentient being? I was having a phone conversation with this running in the background and heard it mentioned at 5:50
I remember watching this for the first year or so. You could see THIS train-wreck coming sooner or later.
The producers ruined this show. It was great when they started and it was about bikes. When the drama became the focus it helped fuel the fire that hurt everyone involved.
It was all over the day they made a wheel barrow without a wheel.
Shows only last so many seasons. They were a small shop in a basement until the show. It had to end somewhere.
One of them. Lee stamper is in Morehead city NC and cost me my job when I was working for a dredging company
Indian Larry was the greatest bike builder.Master Builder. RIP😎
Indian Larry, the G.O.A.T. 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐7 Of them for you Larry.
his style was great, a small bobber!but not a single one of them looked alike!
@@johnbernhardtsen3008 That's why I loved his builds, not over the top bling like an OCC Bike.
Every one of the old crew are now more successful then senior .. he really and truly royally fcuked it all up!
I'm sorry it ended this way , they were very talented !
how did it end?
talented cake decorators, not bike builders. I love it when Jessy slammed them on TV, not that Im a fan of Jessy James.
Paul Sr. ruined a great show due to his outrageous attitude because he was/is a steroid abuser. Always angry, always treating his people and his sons dismally! The producers of the show should have sent Sr. to a major rehab stint. So very sad!
He was an over rated arrogant douche
The old man needed more than rehab
The most amazing part is the bike was still totally amazing, good to see the old cast.❤
I Loved this show me and my brother was rebuilding motorcycles then and streetcars😅
That was one of the most discombobulated videos I’ve ever tried to watch 😂
I really liked Rick and Cody episodes. Cody seemed to be a natural
Loved the show learned a lot great craftsman they built quality bikes
It was a fun show to watch when it was on.. It was a fun show to watch when it was on..
Tolles Video klasse daumen hoch 💯✨️👍
Mike Rowe worked for OCC? What? Are you high? Not a chance! LOL He narrated for discovery nit wit.
I am 40 years old, I just love older people I love older people I really do and I'm proud to say I've learned a lot over the years from my old man I love my father very much. I think this show was originally about a father and son who decided to get clean and do a show together but problem is you have an owner of a company okay I give Mr Tuetul sr that respect, what I never understood about the show is what I got out of it is you can't do business with family for these conflicting issues that did get personal between these 2. You have a mindset that tries to twist everything up and you have the mindset that just tries to deal with rattle snake tongue. Listen with all due respect for company owners, do you know why your men are walking away? Rick and Vinnie have my full respect, I admire the strength they had to stay every day and listen to sr hate his son, no easy task without wanting to exercise the what's up with fists.
Sir Works of Art.
And Mikie was just a court jester on the show
The family odd ball member
The reason interest and enthusiasm in custom bikes fell is because the novelty wore off and you can't find replacement parts or mechanics that can or want to repair or service them.
Most of the stuff on these bikes you can buy off the shelf.
@@BiggerFatterBlog Well you could at one time, until Custom Chrome went broke
Miss this show it's great
A lot of people don't realise my of OCC creations were unrideable. Underpowered, uncomfortable to the point of being uncontrollable which makes them depreciate in value once people realise they are mostly meant to display purposes only.
Just pretty
Sr should stick to welding gates and such ..... A fool and his money ...... LOL !!!
Only just found this one, I said the same after watching the video. I knew a guy from 'local' to twotools who wanted about $8,000 of fence around property, they were not interested as $70,000 bikes were far more profitable
My love of motorcycles kept me watching. The warfare made me quit. I watched for 2 years but couldn't stand the fighting. The bikes were beautiful.

Having driven motorcycles for over 65 years, I used to watch the show fascinated at the ridiculous designs that passed for supposedly useful motorcycles. Artistic maybe but actually driveable...not at all. A quarter mile ride on one of those monstrosities would result in a permanent rupture of your privates. All hype and show and little go. Also reflected in their negligible resale value.
But for some unknown reason I have yet to figure out, I did enjoy the show
@TOURMANBOB Too true, I never liked any bike they ever built, all totally impractical
and only good for a short ride to the shops!.
Since when are motorcycles driven. They're ridden, full stop.
They were not made so much to drive. There were works of art
I personally have RIDEN or Ride my bikes for 53 years and I have NEVER DRIVEN any of my bikes. You drive a car, you drive a truck you pilot an airplane you ride a bike you don't drive a bike. PLEASE get the Terminology correct . You should, of all people, know that after 65 years.
I like to drive my bicycle.
Why was there a couple images of doughboy, which is JJ the boss’s son on Memphis Street outlaws when they were talking about Kody this guy does not even know what he’s talking about. Love how he says the last name also wore me out. 😂😂😂😂
Right?! WTF was that all about?
The two tools sums it up 😅
All I could say is they were all all of them very talented people
I was a big fan of OCC, great show and team. Paul senior imo will always be a amazing self made man with amazing talent. God bless him and his family.

Ahahahah!!!! I can’t!!!😂🤣😂🤣
It was a interesting show, and i also like paul sr and paul jr arguing, thats a meme now lmao
Vinnie,Rick ,Mikey only reason I watched glad they are all well
Paul Senior does not own OCC anymore. The reason he relocated there is cause he was broke bankrupt and facing lawsuit's against him from former worker's and several companies. Paul Junior he's doing good and he is free and clear of his father's mess. Vinnie he's doing really good and Cody work's with him. Rick own's his own business and he's doing good. Jason Pole last i heard he was arrested for spousal abuse attacking his wife (now ex wife) and there kid's. Jason was placed under house arrest since they could not keep him in jail. BUILDING BIKES WITH NO A SUSPENSION, MAKES THE BIKES WORTHLESS.......
Always loved Paul Jr. And Mikey. Dad always seemed like a real tool
He's the kind of guy you really do want to like. Senior seems to go out of his way to destroy every thing and every one around him with his ego, strutting around, shouting down; he's a control freak. No wonder Mickey got lost in the stress of playing peacemaker and self medicated with the main drug of choice, alcohol.
I could care less about the drama I was in it for the artistry of the motorcycles. They were so incredibly beautiful not practical, but really beautiful works of art. They just started to lose me a bit when it focused on all drama and the bike started to be similar all the time towards the end nothing that different from each other besides the paint
I think you mean " I COULDN'T CARE LESS" Meaning you care so little if at all, you could not care less. The way you typed it you actually cared and you could care less. But to use that phrase in a derogatory manner you really didn't care at all. And you don't know how to use that phrase correctly. idiot.
Same opinion as mine👍
These guys were big back in the day, like 13 years ago. Now NOBODY talks about them these days.
Paul Jr. would come dragging in late every morning, and after lunch, with a cup of coffee in his hand, while everybody else was working. 😅
Exactly n he got all the glory,, Paul sr put in the hard work setting up shop n when this show came on Paul Jr git the attention,,,I used to drive him n he was spoiled shit n also cheap, stopped for coffee one time n never bothered to ask me just brought for himself n his wife
Not true at all. He designed most of those bike and did the work with Vinny. They can edit these shows anyway they want. They made it seem like he didn't show up for his mother's funeral, when he did. He even called out the network for their deceptive editing.
It was a fun show to watch when it was on.
Am I the only one who thinks the show was totally scripted? I think those never ending "conflicts" between Sr. and Jr. were solely for TV ratings.
I love all those people!
Those Tootles sure were a crazy bunch.
Vinny was the best!
DsseeeaaZ, oolu😮😅😮😅
I always hoped that the disrespect Junior showed his old man was for theatrical purposes. As a younger man, there is no way I would have treated my father the way Junior did his. If it was real, I'd be disappointed for them both. I don't know my ass from my elbow around motorcycles but I always thought the builds were pretty cool, interesting and looked great. Loved the characters and took the show for what it was, entertainment. But what do I know? It was a great show and I miss it.
It was real.
I can tell you from experience. You can only show respect even if it's forced so long for any man that has only ever disrespected you!! I made it 18 yrs before I finally had had enough. So I m o no, it wasn't theatrical. It was 100 % real!!
@justkeep.. But his father taught him this behavior. And treated his son in the same way.
2002 you mean. Not 2003. American Chopper Aired September 29, 2002 It is best to get the Right Dates.
well written
I would much rather have a Indian Larry bike or Billy Lane or Jesse James bike because the look a lot cooler. American chopper bikes are the goudy bikes of the bike world. Remind me of the impallas with 30 inch tires and all jacked. Look like pimp bikes. Mikey was funny the most intertaining part of the show.
Junior was the one with all the talent
Paul Sr. s main talent was being an asshole.
Nonsense Vinny n ric far outdid jr
I just really liked the show.
Does the show still come on TV ? Because I like watching Paul Jr. Build bikes !
Paul Teutul Senior brought up his child Paul Jnr, in the way he wanted him to go. He did such a good job, that his son took over, an he was harder and more argumentative than the Father, who finally met his match!
Closely followed by Mikey, who could see, how strong Paul Jnr, became..
yeah right....
The first couple of seasons were pretty decent. But from start to finish (especially after the second season), the fake drama and related issues just really killed it.
The producers of the show would basically tell them things to raise their hackles, and tell them to yell at each other more, and then the frustration would boil over on camera (as intended). The producers manufactured stress just to set them off, all while telling them to deliberately overreact to everything. Then they'd cut the episodes to show only the extremities of their behaviors...either the especially "sweet" moments that rarely happen in life, or the utter meltdowns that also rarely happen in life.
It was always one giant setup. And it sucked, because they were interesting people, doing cool shit. I'd have been much happier with seeing more of their real process, and making bikes without being told to make them even wilder to look at for the sake of the cameras.
But, oh well. Nothing to do to fix it except destroy America, really.
@@RepentandbelieveinJesusChrist5 God is evil...the father of lies.

“In 2018, Paul Sr. filed for bankruptcy and moved to Florida, relocating the operations of Orange County Choppers to the Sunshine State as well. In 2021, he opened the OCC Roadhouse and Museum in Clearwater. The facility also features a concert venue, but the operation's finances have been the source of some controversy.
In 2018, the Miami Herald reported that several foreign investors had been scammed out of millions of dollars in a Ponzi scheme connected to the OCC Roadhouse and associated "shares in paper companies that had no value at all."
That was not Paul Sr.'s first foray into the restaurant business, nor his first brush with restaurant-related legal trouble. That same year, Page Six reported that the Orange County Clerk's office had filed a warrant for more than $22,000 in unpaid state taxes for his Orange County Choppers Cafe in Newburgh, NY. The outlet also reported that his home in Montgomery was in foreclosure.
Despite the legal speed bumps surrounding the project, Paul Sr. continues to operate the OCC Roadhouse in Clearwater as a combination restaurant, museum, and concert venue. In 2023, Paul Sr. used the venue as the site for the first annual Orange County Choppers Invitational Bike Show and Biker Build-off Competition.”
Quoted from slashgear’s Dec 3, 2023 article “Here's What Happened To Paul Teutul Sr From American Chopper”
I pause and think about the passing of time. In the very early seasons of american choppers I saw a big and huge Paul. Now watching him in a recent video and his body is only a reminiscent one. Hard to accept the reality of time
I think a lot of his demise physically was steroid and alcohol abuse which destroy the liver. I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't getting dialysis treatments. He has that look.
Jr was an idiot, Vinnie was the real talent in the shop but they fired him. Oh well
Well i was so surprised when Joey Leno contracted them to build a bike. Their bikes are just looking at bikes. You actually couldn’t ride them. I saw them making attachments to the frame via simple threading into the thin wall frame ..not using a bung..well I believe Leno sueded OCC… the bike was junk.
Who is Joey Leno?
@@USA24541 Jay Leno’s less famous cousin

At 10:04, it's talking about Mikey's web series. I can't find it, but that image is from a Chinese movie "The Wandering Earth II". Weird.
I always questioned their build geometry. That's pretty important for a"safe" motorcycle. I'm a self educated motorcycle guy with a wrench and have built a couple sweet custom over stock foundation bikes('91 XLH1200, '03 VRSCA V-Rod). If you can't safely and reliably ride it, it's useless and just something to look at. Most of their "theme" bikes were corporate funded advertising tools that came with OCC television popularity exposure and a promotional tax write-off. These bike were never on the road outside a test spin for the build finale.
How many times can you mispronounce the Teutul last name?
I have seen some OCC bikes being bought some years after the Show ended, and they honestly wasn't that special but pretty awful rides. But to see Rick Petco making a tank from just paperclips was art!
No special and pretty awful rides? What's your motivation to say something so absurd?
watch out corner!!!
@@zhevy1 The truth is, they bought kits for most of the OCC bikes until Custom Chrome stopped selling them after 2008~9 crash.
Custom Chrome went bust and sold everything cheap but there wasn't anything new being made after liquidation.
The kits were around $12,000 and the selling price around $70,000 from OCC for something that should have been less than $20,000
Vast majority of the bikes sold were pretty crap as they were not built for TV.
