    Thank you, I'm going to try those Fantastix pencils with my activator. I'm a scientist and fabric artist and formulated my own activator, Sew Nature's Activator.
    I've been teaching Inktense for a few years now, but haven't tried all the methods you showed, thanks again for the video!

    Thank you for showing us these techniques. I never even knew that Inktense could be used on fabric.

    Love your incredible work! Can you tell me where to find the wonderstix?

      Fantastix are available at JoAnn Fabrics and probably other places. Sometimes in the rubber stamping supplies section 😊

    Thank you. Have the pencils and PFD fabric and textile medium. Now to find artwork in a coloring book. 😊

      I think I neglected to mention that this particular coloring book gives permission to use for personal use or teaching. It’s always good to check copyright rules 😅 It’s usually fine to just try things, just not to sell or post publicly 😅

    You could use washi tape or painter’s tape on your palettes (just an inch or so) to “add your friction” when using the pencil on palettes! The frugal crafter shared that and I’ve never gone back. Now, I primarily use mine on paper but, I’d assume that would also save you some scrubbing on the palette itself as well 😊

    Hi. I am new to inktense pencils and I am wondering if the fantastix work on paper as well as fabric. Great tutorial.

      I have found them at JoAnn Fabrics near the rubber stamping supplies, and also Amazon. I can’t remember if I said this in the video but they come with two tip types, bullet and brush. I use the brush tip, more pointy.

    I would try the pigment markers - they can be applied like the Inktense and would move on fabric really nicely

    Do you have to set the ink on the fabric?

    • @onthetrailcreations8638
      @onthetrailcreations8638  10 місяців тому +1

      You aren’t supposed to have to, but people have mixed results depending on the type of fabric, and whether or not it has sizing on it still, or whether or not every speck of Inktense got activated. so it’s best to test a sample if possible. 😅

    What is your set..I see something under your fabric but can’t see much

      I have the 72 pack of Inktense pencils, is that what you are referring to? I started with 12 and since they blend well I was able to do a lot with those too.

      @@onthetrailcreations8638 No, I think talk to text has been messing with me for a few days lol when I was asking is what is your set up under your fabric? Like what do you put under your fabric to pad it or protect it? I see something in the video I just don’t know what it is.

      I can’t tell in this video, it’s a few years old, but I often use a cheap vinyl placemat or tablecloth, they work great 😁

    Do you need extra postage on the quilted cards?

    • @onthetrailcreations8638

      They can... it's more often because of the thickness than the weight, so if they have no thick embellishments they're usually ok.

    I don't use medium, I pencil directly onto the fabric and add water and paint - never use a blender stick and I add color as I want.

    INKTENSE is made of INK. Its not watercolorpensil. Beautiful textil art you have made!

    • @onthetrailcreations8638
      @onthetrailcreations8638  2 роки тому

      Yes! They function much like watercolor pencils, but I should have made that more clear 😅

  • @marlenejones6266
    @marlenejones6266 2 роки тому

    You can't call these watercolor since they are ink. Hence the name inktense.

    • @onthetrailcreations8638
      @onthetrailcreations8638  2 роки тому +1

      They are used like watercolor pencils, and I explained the difference between them and actual watercolors. But yes, I could have been more clear that they are made of ink. 😅
