    Thank you for showing this. I love the pocket ! I never liked the safety pin. I found your post when looking up,pocket prayer quilts! Just an odd side note. My grandpa, from Sweden, mined gold in 1914 . Fairbanks was the town! He was there for 2 years I think. Amazing!

    It's me again! It's a good thing these are addictive because I have been getting requests from everywhere! I attach a cross, angel or heart and they are now at hospice centers, hospitals, a funeral, VA centers, etc. My latest is a Backpack Blessing prayer pocket with an angel or heart and a blessing for the school year. Parents can add a message as often as they wish. I have passed on your pattern to many. Just wanted you to know that your little pockets are loved by many! Thank you again.

    Don’t laugh..I’ve been making quilts for 45 years and never heard about holding your threads before you start sewing to avoid it getting sucked into the fabric🤣

      I know, I forgot about that when I put the link in my recent post. Filming actual sewing is tricky anyway, but I have gotten at least a little better at it since my earlier videos. I have a bunch to remake!

    Do you have to set the ink on the fabric?

    • @onthetrailcreations8638
      @onthetrailcreations8638 6 місяців тому

      You aren’t supposed to have to, but people have mixed results depending on the type of fabric, and whether or not it has sizing on it still, or whether or not every speck of Inktense got activated. so it’s best to test a sample if possible. 😅

    All my relatives are Nelson. I curious who your relatives are. Do you know Lum Nelson? or Claud Alvin Nelson, or Benjamin Nelson? Lum Nelson lived in Oregon... somewhere. The rest are in Washington State like castle Rock, & Missouri. Sorry about the history lesson. I loved your video. Now I'll start looking closer at the rock's and in these Missouri creeks beds.

    Best Pocket Prayer design ever. Been making these for some years now, but always used special papers and faux leathers. Always wanted to make some from fabric. The back pocket idea is the best answer for this item made with fabrics. I did a test run and love the way it turns out. I'm off and running now. Thanks for sharing.

    You can try to use some fabric, maybe to lay over the rocks as you beat them to minimize the dust, maybe that would work?

    • @onthetrailcreations8638
      @onthetrailcreations8638 9 місяців тому

      Yep, I do that sometimes too. The best dust tends to stick to it though, but it does help keep it from going all over 😅

    You could use washi tape or painter’s tape on your palettes (just an inch or so) to “add your friction” when using the pencil on palettes! The frugal crafter shared that and I’ve never gone back. Now, I primarily use mine on paper but, I’d assume that would also save you some scrubbing on the palette itself as well 😊

    I just started making prayer pockets and wasn't happy with the patterns I found. This is terrific! I made mine a little larger but the little pocket is so cute and a perfect way to add a blessing or prayer. Thank you for posting this - I can't wait to give these out at our local cancer center.

    When you talk behind the camera (you could if removed it) it doesn’t sound like you’re wearing a mask, some stone dust can be deadly especially if you don’t know the rock type. There is a kid on TikTok that is now making videos raising awareness about the disease, he has from carving and sanding rocks without a mask. He is going to die from this. Please protect yourself.
