I am so in awe of these paints! Definitely going to have to try this method and I, too, am impressed with the results. Thank you so much for sharing and I hope you continue to share future inktense projects.
@@TheQuiltmakerHomestead do you have a video that shows how to get the pattern onto the material? Thank you! Excellent video on the InkTense! Beautiful work.
Hi Lisa...thank you for introducing me to using paint on fabric. I just got the pan set the larger one, and I'm kind of nervous.you are so talented and so fast. I was mesmerized with your sewing machine thread art. I like to travel by train and bring my art supplies and get my own little car on the train. one suggestion I have for you is start using rubber bands to close your metal cases. since I started using rubber bands on my supplies nothing comes open. it may be part of getting old. I remember my parents used a lot of rubber bands.thanks again for sharing :have fun! Love Marcia in Modesto.
I have learned a lot about fabric printing from your UA-cam channel. Even I am not good at quilting, but I can use for my other design. Thank you, love your channel.👍💕
I loved this demo! How fun! I think i might get these. I like to paint with water colors and after seeing how these do in the wash on fabric sold me! Thanks Lisa!
Im confused. Did you spray half with an acrylic medium and half with water to comoare them...and then NoT follow up on that or make any conclusion? Can these work without an aditional medium or not?
Vibrant and totally beautiful! I have so many watercolors, but have never used them on fabric so not sure if they would work. I do have my eye on these for sure. Thank you for the sweet flower hexagon download! Take care@
You are so welcome! I've experimented with watercolors on fabric.....and actually got some pretty good results.....but for fabric these are much better :)
these are a little bit different then watercolor paints....which I have tried with pretty good results, but these are actually dye based and work so much better on fabric :)
Question: I’m painting flowers on a long shirt. Do you think I could use an embroidery hoop to keep a section taut while painting? Can I use one without stretching my shirt out of shape?
So, just a doubt, to make it permanent on fabric, I need to use the Iron previous to using the washing machine? My husbang gave me this watercolors and I want to paint a T-shirt for my dauther.
hi i use the pencels but what is the best thing to use if you wont it to stay nice in a quilt or can you only use it in wall quilts thank you love your videos x
Hi Kim....I love the pencils and these in the paint pans.....from just using them once...I can tell it's easier to get the color down verses the pencils....in my own opinion lol
Hi Lisa! What a wonderful and fun video. I have the set of 72 pencils and I love them. Can you tell me how well the paints that are left on the palette rewet? Or do they seriously stain the palette?
I've heard that they do stain the palette......I've left the paint in the mixing section to dry and we'll see. Next week I think I'll do a live and rewet the paint and see :)
Hi Lisa, I purchased the intense pencils with so much zeal . Lol only to be seriously disappointed. Covid n not a drop nor a drip of aloe gel nation wide. I tried desperately with water and 20 different brushes to get control of the paint on fabric. Oy!!! It's in a bag far far away haha but I'm still in this thing. We'll my heart is Anyway I thin thats what counts. So my question lolol did you find you had me color control with the pan paint verses the pencils? Maybe I need a deeper tute on how to. Nothing like something NOT difficult to bruise 🤦♀️your artsy pride 🤣🤣 Seriously though I need to conquer this effect as I want to add it to a design element for my creations pretty bad. Appreciate you sister God bless
Fabric medium works well and the 900 ac medium that Lisa shows. Actually, aloe will fade over time. It's best to use a fabric medium. Hope you try it again, it's so fun to paint on fabric!
Wash it it fades out . Use the sticks or pencils it's not permanent wash and it fades alot. Was very sad because I tried it and it fades out alot on fabric
This is so cool! I never in a million years would have thought to use these on fabric; thank you!
This will be fun to do with a niece or granddaughter on a shirt.
Спасибо. Единственный человек, который показал, как краска ведет себя после стирки. Очень полезно
Thank you, I have used these paints on paper, but now I will try them on cloth.
thank you for the free pdf so we can practice. I needed a mug rug for a gift exchange and this worked out perfectly.

Hey Rae! I hope you have as much fun with these as I did....and I can't wait to do another project with them.
Enjoyed this very much. I have been wanting to try some of these products.
Thank you!

Fun. I've done fabric markers and my watercolor pencils but not watercolor paints before yet. Good to know they will work :)

Thank you Lisa so much for sharing new items to sew with. I enjoy watching you!!!
You are so welcome Judy, I'm so glad you enjoy watching along :)
Kindly share why u choose to use aloe gel with pencils?😅

Beautiful design of these paints so l tray to do it.Thank you.
Most welcome 😊
@@TheQuiltmakerHomestead Thank you👍
According to Helen Golden you should not prewash because the sizing is the magic that keeps it from bleeding when you are painting.
Thank you for this video. When you have painted the fabric do you then take the freezer paper off before sewing?
Yes I do!
What does the Aloe Gel do? I've never heard of this for painting.
Looks like fun. Thanks for sharing.
😀😂😀😂😀😂
Thanks for watching!
3/9/2021. I have the pencils, I have the blocks and today I was able to get the pan set newish me luck. Thanks Lisa...
ohhhhh, I hope you love them as much as I do!!!! I'm doing another project with them right now and I am just thrilled with them.
Very nice
Great demo! I don’t travel so I would not need this particular set. I do have the paint and the pencils and 8 love them.
Thank you for this fun tutorial.

What kind of fabric did you use?
That’s a great video of your paints I would like to try this for my self
honestly I have to say......these were a LOT of fun to work with
Question please: why do you put wax paper on the back ? Thanks
the parchment paper just adds stability while I'm working :)
Can you paint upholstery fabric with this.?
I think it depends on what the upholstery fabric is made from......this works with natural fibers best.
Oh my. I’ll have to wait for awhile. Instead of water on paints, are you able to just wet brush?
Yep, you could just wet the brush :)
Hi. Thanks for the info. How do you heat set your inktense on fabric?
I use a cotton setting, cover it with a scrap fabric and usually heat set for about 30 seconds.
@@TheQuiltmakerHomestead thanks
I tried my pencils with ale Vera and hand sanitizer , after the wash the hand sanatizer faded less .... !
Sooo beautiful
Thank you so much 😊
I used paint on shirts for years...
My paints were gel tho...
Thank you!
If you wanted to color that just to have it on paper what paper would you use?
What are you coloring with?
how do you trace onto the muslim? HOW DO YOU Fuse thE freezer paper onto it?

I totally agree!
after using the pencils and the blocks.....and now these.......these give you so much more paint on your brushes...I am totally impressed.
Can you show how you trace the pattern on your fabric?
Hi Kelly!!! I use a light pad....this is the one I have and it makes tracing so simple!! amzn.to/3vfrxBl
