This one is probably one of the hardest hitting Halo trailers since the Believe campaign. Don't get me wrong, I loved the other Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo Reach trailers. But the thing that sets this apart from even the Believe trailers is how realistic it is. There aren't really any older UNSC servicemen reminiscing the past, but there also isn't any epic action with maybe a somber song over it. No, no, no. This one is different. It shows the everyday people and what they went through. Just normal, everyday struggles. Nothing out-of-the-ordinary. Yet in less than a month, possibly even a week or day, how many of those people do you think were dead? It's chilling.
Takeusername It also builds up to what you know is gonna happen, you know these people are gonna for, you know that mother is gonna be left without a son and without a husband and you know Three Charlie is gonna end up tortured and hung in some poor farmers shed.
This could be the invasion day, reach was attacked and invaded while the rest of the unsc (and half the planet ) didn't even know something was wrong ,until the super cruiser was taken down and the entire covenant fleet showed up
The Couple at Visegrad were in the game. The man went missing. ThreeCharlieAlpha were the troopers that also went missing. Sadly they were show dead, tortured. The city is New Alexndra. It was glassed by the Covenant. Only a few of the civilians escaped
The chill I feel when I watch the Halo Reach trailers is unlike anything I have ever felt. These trailers are so realistic that you get drawn into them, you live them, and when it ends you realize that they aren't your reality. Then and there the chill appears, a sign that if you could; you would willingly enter that universe and fight for humanities future.
@@ZeroRemorse just got the Master Chief Collection, finished Halo Reach on Legendary, now in Halo CE for the first time, it's great, but very hard on Legendary
Been saying this for a while now. And people say it would be boring. Why not show the rebels way of life, them surviving the rebellion against the UNSC and covenant
Should be a spin-off survival game where you’re a civilian on Reach or maybe New Mombasa during a Covenant invasion. Maybe even Harvest. I’m not so sure on a Halo movie or television series that doesn’t focus on the UNSC.
The scariest thing about this trailer is the flight board as the woman heads the spaceport. Slowly, all the flights are being mysteriously canceled. No one's reacting because it's not out of the ordinary, but it's the UNSC gearing up for potential Insurgency activity...which eventuallt turns into Winter Contingency.
Mr. Dibbin Reach is where the Spartan II program started (though it's kinda unrelated to Reach since you play as a III and most of Noble are III?), Harvest is where the war started.
Tiberiu Marian They’re talking about the mainline Halo franchise not the war, Reach is mentioned in Halo 1 as the place the Pillar of Autumn jumped from.

I've never seen this before, and having played Reach 5+ years ago, this gives me the biggest sense of dread for the characters. It kinda reminds of the people who died on the titanic, who was waiting for them back home, and all that. Except on a much more massive scale
The part that gives me chills is that at 2:02, you see flights starting to get cancelled on the screen. At 2:28, nearly all the flights on the screen are cancelled, most likely indicating that the Covenant attack would be in full force as the trailer ends. And then you see 'Remember when *there was a tomorrow.*

A halo movie was supposed to be made, but i guess they couldnt finish it in time. So thats probably why they havent made a halo movie and with halo 4 coming out machinima already said that there will be a series called "Forward Unto Dawn" but unfortunatly thats not going to be out untill closer to the release of halo 4
This was the best Halo trailer ive ever seen... in my opinion. I cant see how people really hate this and find it boring. Its so beleivable on how a future could look in my eyes.. id love to watch a full length movie like this trailer.. just about the life of Reach before is was destroyed. Halo is about the story.. and this just makes all my envisions of the Halo world even better. People think its just about aliens and war.. and thats what it will become. But try and love story leading up it..
I have been the biggest Halo fan for all my life, and as much as it burns my heart to say it, there is nothing, as meaningful n halo 4, than there was in reach. Before you replay, just let me say it really kills me to say that, especially since I really wanted it to be that next step in the series. :(
i love the story of the halo univerce, honestly i think its what give halo an edge over other games, it has a very well thought out univerce with ALOT of backstory from the books
If they wont make a Halo movie they really start doing a tv show. It will be crazy popular as these low budget short films show it is easily done with much higher budget and a proper TV channel backing up it will be HUUUGE!

@NaruMaiden ACTUALLY, this is suppose to be their last halo game for 10 years... but that is just a rumor. They apparently sign a contract with some company. It would be sad if they did, but think of the comback Halo would bring in 10 years! These might be a bit boring, but it gives good back story on the Battle of Reach. They're going to release a live action battle soon. I saw the pictures. The armor of Carter looks AWESOME.
I have a question, why'd they cancel the boarding of the ships if they didn't know the Covenant had arrived yet? I thought perhaps that was after Noble team discovered the Covenant at Visegrad, but even then, it seems that the public wasn't aware of the Covenant being there until later in the battle, otherwise it doesn't make sense why they were evacuating citizens from New Alexandria literally a month later from the initial date of the Covenant arriving.
