I’ve had the Jabra for 4 months now. I’ll return in a couple of weeks. Doesn’t work well in noisy environments. Wind is terrible. Bluetooth is fair at best. I “upgraded” from 5-yo Costco Resound that I now realize are better
Thanks I got a pair of Oticon OpN2 I paid $4,200 for 4 years ago. Never been that great to me. Even adjustments every 6 months my hearing is not what it should be and word recognition is not great…but sounds like these Costco aids are not the great either? Just cheaper.

@@HearingClub are you saying in your opinion that the Jabras are better then the Oticon OpN2 aids I have now? They are as good as the Oticon More? I’m 67 and retired and can’t keep buying hearing aids especially $5,000+.
Thanks so much for this video and others that you have posted on YT: You saved me from making a big mistake on the purchase of my next set of hearing aids. For practically the same features, Costco’s Jabra Enhance Pro 10 costs $1,599 compared to Resound One hearing aids costing twice as much. Both are made by Resound and both have the extra M&RIE microphone in the ear canal providing a surreal surround sound like spatial experience.
They are not made by resound, they are both made by GN. And the resound one have 3 different technology levels. The one 3 one 6 and the resound one 9. The costco Jabra version is the highest technology level, equivalent to the Resound One 9, the one with 17 channels.

The issue is not primarily hearing aids you get, but you get to do the otoscopy, the ear cleaning if needed, the tympanometry and acoustic reflexes, the speech testing in quiet and noise, the tone testing, the hearing aid evaluation (during which a variety of factors are considered), the ear impressions for custom molds (if beneficial), the hearing aid fitting (which includes probe microphone measures of hearing aid performance so you and your hearing care provider precisely what is happening in your ear canal), the hearing aid orientation, and follow up care as needed. Thank you so much for this information! I am finally knuckling under and heading out to get hearing aids - at age 62 I've had complete nerve loss in my left ear for 44 years, and my one good ear is starting to falter, but when I put in a pair of KZ AS10- in-ears, I get a full stereo spectrum (albeit "ghosted" on the left side a bit, but the center channel does image more correctly) with the clarity of five balanced armatures in each ear - would love that in a set of hearing aids, as it mimics what I hear in a good set of monitors in the recording studio (just not sure if that much fidelity can be packed into a smaller in-canal or behind-the-ear). As I am also a musician and an audiophile, I don't want just a "hyped-up speech-only" enhancement to my hearing - I want a full frequency spectrum boost for daily normal use, and control over the frequency spectrum for special events, and programmability with the iPhone. Yes they should work with your Apple Watch. They work best with iPhones and few android devices such as Samsung galaxy series. Avoid Motorola phones because Motorola Bluetooth does not work well with hearing aids at this time. I hope this helps and have great day!

Thanks for the video, but I'm a little confused. If I understand correctly, both the Rexton and Phillips hearing aids at Costco require a prescription. Can I get a hearing test and prescription at Costco or do I have to go somewhere else to get the prescription? My 91-year-old father is using an MD Hearing hearing aid and it is not doing the job. We desperately need to get him one of these hearing aids from Costco.
Yes, great question. If you bring him to Costco, Costco will administer a new hearing test which is basically your “prescription”. It’s a one stop shop. If there are any “red flags” that we find, then we will refer him to a doctor before we sell him hearing aids. But yes, we take care of everything as long as it’s a pretty normal test result
Costco is a fair distance from me. Does it make sense to BUY them at Costco and use their remote services to adjust? Trips in and out every few weeks is daunting.
Yes it’s worth it at Costco. They do have remote services. Typically you have to be there for your hearing test, fitting, and 1st follow up. After that they can do remote. Keep in mind, not everything they can do remotely such as test, fitting, and any feedback issues may have.
My Starkey aids aren't charging up to full anymore and I've been looking at the Jabra select 300 on line what's your opinion on them I have severe hearing loss?
My hearing aids are by Phonak, not sure which model but they are premium aids. Had them for 3 years and I'm a bit disappointed with them. The battery life has deteriorated significantly, they now last for only 10 to 12 hours depending on how much Bluetooth streaming I do - usually quite a bit. The LEDs on one have quit working so I have no idea if it is charged or not, just have to assume it is. I think I am going to go to Costco for my next pair. I am currently renting them and paying about 3.5 times as much as the Costco price for no particular benefit. I think I am going back to batteries for my next set, not rechargeable. With rechargeable you are basically dead in the water when the charge runs out, with batteries you just change them and you are good to go. Plus you don't have to lug the charger and cable around when travelling (not that onerous.) The downside of batteries is extra cost and disposal, but I think the convenience outweighs that.
Ouch for price! And sorry to hear that. You should try out Costco, the hearing test is free and hopefully you can demo the hearing aids and find the one that sounds & feels best for you!
Hmm, in one of your last videos you mentioned that the Rexton were NOT high on your list and in fact noted that you didn't remember when you had last sold one. You recommended the Jabra as the best choice of the three offered at Costco. In this video you are promoting the Rexton and Philips over the Jabra. Why the change?
I'm sure they cost more than 10 but surely no more than 50.00. They are ALL way overpriced. Even at costco's prices they are over priced. But that's the best price out there. But yes, I agree.
@@HearingClub That's a poor answer--Does Costco or doesn't Costco do proper testing and programming? You should know and be able to tell us the answer to this question.

While Costco may offer some advantages when it comes to purchasing hearing aids, there are several drawbacks to consider. Visiting a hearing practice can provide a more personalized approach to hearing care, with expert advice, comprehensive evaluations, a wide range of hearing aids, and ongoing follow-up care.

Can you help? My 89 yr old spry mother has profound hearing loss 70 percent in each ear. She recently lost one of her Starkey molded in ear battery hearing aide. She can't spend thousands but her insurance will pay $1250 per ear. She is fine with battery operated or rechargable. She may upgrade to a cell phone but still has a lan line old phone. Our Costco's do not have audiologists and I hear it takes time for appointments.
Any suggestion would be very helpful.-John's wife
I’m not an audiologist either, I’m a licensed HCP (hearing care practitioner) or a hearing aid fitter. Does your insurance require you to be fit by an audiologist?
@@HearingClubCostco's would be a 50 mile round trip. They do not process insurance. I must check to see if we could put a claim in. I was worried they may not provide the same care and worried if they do not work we will not get her money back. The hearing doc she saw provided expert care but she did not purchase the $8000 or $6000 hearing aides. This was before she lost one.-John's wife
@@HearingClubIt's all confusing to me. I want to help her to get hearing aides she can hear with. Even if expense wasn't an issue, which it is. Hate to purchase a less expensive brand and have trouble hearing and many trips, we don't have that kind of time or money. -John's wife
Sorry for the disjointed comment. Apparently bold words are not accepted. Please insert “what” after “primarily” and “who” after the first “but” and “know” after “provider”
My hearing aids ( first time) are $5,000 but insurance should covered $2,500 every two years. So ib have to pay $2,500 is it worth it? Beltone serene 6
No sir, you can get the serene 17 from Costco for $1,600. It’s called the Jabra enhance pro 20, same exact hearing aid.
@HearingClub unfortunately, my insurance doesn't cover cotsco. The cotsco in my area doesn't have an appointment for 3 weeks or so.
Thank you so much excellent advice👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You are so welcome! Glad it was helpful! We made this channel as additional resource for you guys.
Brilliant thank you some honest information
my pleasure!
Thank you very much !!
Resound hearing aids with TMD 2019 model is INR 96300. I can't afford.
Ouch
What is Costco? Is it a brand?
I live in Turkiye.
I have bought a pair resound one 9.
They are very expensive.
Can I buy them in the net cheaper?
Costco is a brand and giant retail warehouse store that you have to be a member to, to get great prices. I don’t think there’s Costco in Turkey
I had a bad experience with Miracle Ear. Their prices were high and they lied about wax in my ears.
Oh boy, that’s not good
These hearing aids are only for mild to moderate hearing loss correct?
No, these hearing aids can treat mild to profound hearing loss
I mean since they are jabras, the should be decent. I'm trying to figure out which jabras they are.
My hearing aid is Phonak bolero
Phonak is a good brand, did you pay thousands for them?
This is an old video
Costco Canada is selling Resound Hearing aids - are these the Omnias or the Nexia?
I'm not sure, our costco sells jabras, not resound. They are made by the same manufacturer GN
Why a $10 item costs thousands of dollars?
I'm sure they cost more than 10 but surely no more than 50.00. They are ALL way overpriced. Even at costco's prices they are over priced. But that's the best price out there. But yes, I agree.
I'm not sure I trust Costco to do the proper testing and programming.
That’s ok, you can go somewhere else!
@@HearingClub That's a poor answer--Does Costco or doesn't Costco do proper testing and programming? You should know and be able to tell us the answer to this question.
Resound pairs work the cochlear brand cochlear device.
Awesome!!
are you going to pay for all this for me?
i live on ss and most months my food runs out before the month does, but even here in ca i do not qualify for food give aways.
if taxes and costs of living go much higher i will lose my house. then i will be living on the street.
Huh?
Once a year a city an hour from our town runs a top notch community dental, eye and hearing aide drive for two days. Trouble is you must arrive by 6 or 7 am, first come first serve. It would be too long of a drive and wait for us to go. My 89 year old mom, would be hard on her. They do have free clinics for care once a year. Wish they did drives nearer to our area. We understand what you are saying about the cost of everything. -John's wife
CA is so expensive. We know many people who moved from there and bought beautiful homes elsewhere thinking they were too affordable compared to CA. Best wishes. -John's wife
This economy is difficult for everyone anymore. I think we all are feeling the same. For repairs, groceries, everything. -John's wife
what what WHAT
haha you almost got me! everytime i tell someone i work with hearing aids they say "whats that? huh?"
So what are you giving up?
We aren’t giving up anything. We are exposing the truth. Most other companies are marking up hearing aids for profit. We simply telling you, you can get same quality premium hearing aids for the fraction of price. That’s all! Have a great day!
How do these compare to the hearing aids made by Starkey and sold by audibel?
Starkey hearing aids we heard mix reviews. Plus side it’s biggest manufacturer that only US and US made hearing aids. However, the hearing aids aren’t making it to top 5 in consumer reports. Hopefully they will make changes and be in the game with companies like Phonak, Oticon/Philips, Signia/Rexton, & Jabra/Resound
@@HearingClub thank you. I was on the verge of buying some of these until I came across your video. Thanks again for educating people.
Thank you for watching!
They will all come down even more. 😉
Wonderful!
Not a good rating
not a good rating of what
All is over prise ned to gether free for older people ❤😂🎉😢
You know how it is, nothing free.
You are paying for the name and that name is expensive.
Exactly that
So sad there are no generic equivalents. -John's wife
Polska.
You are absolutely right about that my friend. This is where Costco comes in and is trying to change the industry, providing the SAME $8,000 hearing aids for $1500, still expensive but MUCH more affordable
Give me your contact in kenya
Can you elaborate ? And we don’t share personal information.
