I exchanged my Jabras for the Rexton Reach. I couldn't be happier! I love everything about the Reach.... More stable Bluetooth, better sound in noise, more natural voices, fantastic domes! My Costco rep tried to discourage me from getting them, but I'm so glad that I did! I have not needed an adjustment and I've had my new HAs for about a month!
After three Jabra 20s failing I did not get any push back regarding the exchange for Rexton Reach. As a matter of fact the Costco HIS recalled that I discussed Rexton to replace second failed Jabra 20. She said that the serial numbers were verified and would be OK. I hope that my Rexton experience mirrors yours.
I bought these 3 weeks ago the speech enhancement is amazing. I can be holding a leaf blower and hearing someone next to me talking. They will cut the leaf blower sound and focus on the speech. AMAZING!!!
I received my Rexton Reach hearing aids from Costco 3 weeks ago and I love them. I can now clearly hear people in the most extreme settings like restaurants, airplanes, and noisy auditoriums. Also, i no longer need to turn on closed captioning on my TV. Well worth the $1,500.
I love my Rexton Reach hearing aids! I have been wearing them for 3 months and they work great. I had tried the Jabra and Phillips on too, but the Rexton Reach gave me the best discrimination ability and clarity hands down. They really have a great battery life as advertised and I love the different programs, my hearing clinician programmed into my aid!
Just ordered my Rexton Reach today from my Costco. Upgrading from my KS9’s. Looking forward to picking them up and having them dialed in especially the My Voice. Love the domes.
I tried the Reach and Jabra Pro 20 models at Costco today. I liked both, but Rexton has the “My Voice” algorithm that made a big difference for me. As someone new to hearing aids, I found hearing my own voice amplified more distracting with the Jabras. I’m still undecided though as I don’t have as much knowledge about Rexton.
I just went to Costco this week and got fitted with the Rexton hearing aids. I found both the Jabra Select Enhance 500 and the Phillips 9050 were very similar in their sound characteristics and they were a bit harsh and strident in the sound. The Phillips also produced a white noise that the technician was able to drop in intensity but could not eliminate. The sound of the Rexton Reach R-LIT was much more pleasing and had more user modifications available. The rocker switch was also easier to feel compared to the other two hearing aids.
Six days since I got my Rexton Reach and I love them. I had KS10s prior, my first pair of HAs and they were great but over time the battery failed, got them repaired but when I got them back they were never the same. The HA tech tried everything to reprogram for me but was I still miserable. He was the same tech who programmed my KS10 fo me three years ago, Anyway, decided to replace them with the Rextons, and they are great, no app glitches so far like Easy-Line, and I am hearing great, I love them.
I'm 57, never had tinitus in my life. Thought it was ringing in the ears. My wife was diagnosed with lung cancer in April, never smoked, eat very healthily. She is now all fine and back at work (caught it early), however the tinitus that developed in me whilst waiting for her results is really bad - constant loud ringing in my ears - that's why I'm here today. And I can't stand any other quack on this subject on UA-cam - this channel is the opposite of that - I thank you for what you are doing
I have tinnitus too. It is really annoying but the increased ambient sound reception of hearing aids really does help heaps. Maybe in my lifetime science will figure out how to cure us. I truly miss silence.
I love your diction and delivery. Very understandable and educational. I've subscribed. I've had Costco's rebranded Phonak's for three years now and am very pleased aside from the Bluetooth connectivity which goes out monthly. I just go to our local Costco and the technician at the register cheerfully re-programs them and updates them if applicable. He said Phonak will release another model soon but it's hush hush. I watched an interview with Alice Cooper the rock artist talking about the universal loss of hearing and tinnitus among recording artists. They were young and dumb and so was the audience not realizing the damage they were doing. He was ecstatic about his in ear units describing them as sound processors rather than his prior behind the ear models. Unfortunately, I have hyperacusis, tinnitus and hearing loss. I can't attend concerts anymore even with the new breed of hearing ear plugs. I'm very grateful for the innovations of our time and especially the help at Costco.
I bought the Philips HearLink 9040s from Costco in January 2024, partly due to what I learned from your videos about them. I am very pleased with them, although I would find the ability to make the mics directional through the app helpful. Also, the speech in noise program is helpful, but not amazing. Bluetooth works well and I love having he ability to listen to stuff without disturbing my wife. I'm hoping that Philips will be able to enable Auracast eventually for these hearing aids.
In June, I tried the Signia 3IX hearing aids. As I was looking for a travel charger, I discovered Rexton hearing aids were made by the same manufacturer. Luckily Costco was just offering the Rexton Reach so I was able to wear both for a couple of weeks. I felt for my hearing, the Rexton Reach met my needs better. The great price was icing on the cake.
I’m a first time hearing aid user that suffers from sudden hearing loss in just one ear. I wanted to educate myself further on my equipment by watching your video and I value your opinion. The only downside of the Rexton for me is that I only use one hearing aid so I can’t use the focused hearing feature because that doesn’t work with just one hearing aid.
I will be picking up a pair of Rexton Reach hearing aids this week at Costco. My initial selection of Jabra Pro 20's has not been a good experience. I will be returning my third pair when i get the new Rexton's. All three sets have experienced the same failure. They work fine for several weeks and then go completly dead. When I had problem with first pair the Costco HIS was told by Jabra that there was a technology issue that affected the microphone inputs. But after third pair I'm not going to try Jabra again. Looking forward to Rextons.
Thank you, have an appointment with Costco in a couple of weeks, hadn't heard (no pun) of these before, and really glad to learn about them. Might be just the ticket, will give them a go.
I am saving up for new hearing aids and will get them at Costco. I will need to decide between the three Costco offerings, Jabra, Philips, or the Rexton. I think I will likely get the new hearing aids in November or December of this year. Of course I want the most bang for my $$$ but also want the ones that will best suit my hearing loss and lifestyle.
Wearing my 1st HAs, Rexton Reach, 19th day from the fitting. So far, connectivity fine, probably partly because I setup my new Pixel 8 phone same day I first put on the Rextons. Both support LE Audio Bluetooth. That's low energy draw Bluetooth and I'm getting unbelievably great phone battery strength retention and the hearing aids batteries easily last all day.
I've been wearing KS10s now for 3 years (warranty just ended). Over the years (30+), I've had just about every brand out there. I've been enjoying your videos on the new versions of the current three Costco offerings as I'm now starting to look for my next pair. I'm a bit concerned that some of the technology seems to have taken a step backwards from the KS10's. Features that I use extensively are: a) being able to use my Samsung S23 phone connection hands-free. I can just have the phone anywhere near, I don't have to touch it and the KS10s use the hearing aid mic to pick up my voice. Works seamlessly. I'm seeing comments that this isn't possible with the new crop of HA's. Not being able to do handsfree is almost a deal breaker for me. b) Along with my Samsung S23 Android, I also use my iPad extensively to watch shows and videos. For the past 3 years I've absolutely loved the freedom to be able to do that. The KS10s switch happily between my phone (Android) and my iPad (iOS) at the same time. From my reading, it appears that I won't be a able to do this with the new crop without having to re-pair the devices each and every time. This is a HUGE step backwards if it's true. Are my observations correct? Are these indeed issues with the new crop ? Jabra 20, Phillips 9050 and Rexton Reach?
Great review, thanks. You mention in the review that you'd put out an update when the LE Audio update came out. Rexton have apparently released it in the "RexFit 9.12" update. That's great news for Android devotees like myself.
I'm an audiologist and our local Costco never recommends custom ear molds when they are needed. I see these patients in our ENT office often and send them back to Costco for ear molds on a weekly basis. It's real sad that they aren't getting what they need from the get-go. Thanks for the info as I know little about what Costco offers (other than what they don't).
I have purchased Rexton Reach because of the advanced technology. Before buying, I tried Phillips and Jabra at Costco. The Rexton was much less noisy and seemed to work much better for me.
I have the Rexton Reach love them, I had the Jabra and hated them, with the Rexton I can hear clearly in crowds and my hearing in general is some much better.
Just ordered my Rexton Reach ... I went to Costco to try the Phllpps 9050 but he suggested for my hearing issues these would be much better. I hope he's right. I have been he the K10s for 3 years, but they just aren't working quite the same even after numerous adjustments, but I hate leaving what I know, I was afraid to try something new. So, we'll see. I am excited.I ordered the Rexton Reach before I saw this video.
I clicked on this video because I recently paid $4,995.00 US for Signia Pure Charge&Go 5XIt the middle technology level (forms a beam from one person instead of five). I bought them at my Audiologist’s office because I could hear my wife’s voice clearer than the other brand she let me sample that day. It appears that the Rexton Reach is functionally the same as the 9XIt (beams five speakers) of what I bought and it’s $1,499.00! 😮😢
i got the Philips 9040 aids at Costco back in January, after 5 years(!) on a pair of Bernafons, which I loved. They were OK, but frankly, I didn't see really major improvements over my old Bernafons. I held out for 6 months, waiting for the 9050s to come out; meanwhile seeing some good things about the Rextons. I returned the Philips and the Costco rep recommended waiting for the 9050s to come out before trying the Rextons so I could make a good side by side comparison in real time. So I'm back on my Bernafons, holding out as long as I can before pulling the plug and just going in for the Rextons.
Would help a lot if u could include how each of costcos hearing aids work with android and Apple phones, I've watched a few of ur videos and zero mention of how they sync other than BT issues. My 5 yr old 9.0's worked perfect, my day old Phillips I need to hold the phone up to my head to speak???? 5 years newer and worse technology ? Amazing
I am wearing KS10's. Looking to upgrade (either in Costco or elsewhere) , but waiting for a hearing aid that has decent 1) speech clarity, 2) phone call clarity and 3) background noise clarity. Upgrades needn't fix these problems perfectly but need to offer a substantial improvement. I am tired of the "hype" coming from manufactures about how they have "solved' these problems when their improvements , in the past , have at best been marginal.
Funny that you mention Dr. Cliff. No disrespect intended, I find Dr. Cliff's video production to be somewhat annoying. He's overly animated and the zoom shots just are not necessary. Your videos are natural, for me and that's a far better fit.
I think Dr Cliff has been bought by Phonak (sarcasm) . He is no longer an independent voice. And his exaggerated facial expressions and arm waving are tiring and silly.
I find Dr. Cliff’s reviews or comments not neutral at all, you can clearly tell he is all about Oticon and puts down everything else. I find Rachel very honest, amicable, and very neutral with her reviews and feedback. I totally love Matthew’s approach, neutrality when giving an opinion or feedback, his reviews, and how he stays right in the middle without taking a side. He is way more natural, and most importantly I can understand 100% what he says instead of having to set the play speed at 75% to understand what Dr. Cliff says. Good job Matthew, we love you.
I commented a while back about the Rexton BiCore (prior model from the Reach). My experience with the BiCore has been terrible, it does sound like a cheap amplifier, can’t understand group conversations or God forbid outdoors. I am not sure if it has to do with the AuD that programmed them that did a terrible job, or after a few adjustments those HAs just are terrible. I hope that the Reach ones are just the same as the Signia Pure Charge & Go 7-IX like it has been mentioned by a few. If true, many people will be able to get the latest and best technology in my opinion at a price that is very low.
Has Bluetooth (ASHA) improved on Andriod phones? I spoke with Rexton and they advised that Costco has not authorized the firmware upgrade which they have available for BLE I have a Pixel 8 phone running Android 15 which includes the BLE option. Please advise your thoughts and if you have any insight regarding Costco's position. Thanks. I am enjoying you channel and have just subscribed. I will pick up my Rexton Reach devices in just a few days.
I have a cookie bite hearing loss, and presently wear the Kirkland Signature 9 hearing aids. I have lots of trouble understanding speech in noisy environments. I am considering newer hearing aids, and I'm looking at the Jabra 20S pro and the Reach. Trying to learn as much as possible about both before making my choice.
I have pretty significant cookie bite loss on one side and had jabras for the better part of the year (was actually expecting the 9050s to have come out much much sooner (before June at least) so i would be able to compare and decide between the 2 but I ended up getting stuck with the Jabras instead as the new rextons and philips didn't come out until after June. I had only demo'd a pair of mid tier Widex aids from a private clinic which I was not impressed with and the Jabras are better than those. However part of me still wonders if it can be even better as I still have to get people to repeat themselves a few times in conversations. I likely will pick up a pair of philips in a month to use the jabras as a backup pair if they are significantly better.
I have worn Jabra Enhance Pro 20 since early 2024 from Costco. They sound great and I love the audio from streaming music from Amazon music and using the tv streamer+ which broadcasts in Auracast LE audio. However, hearing in noisy environments is still an issue for me. I am currently waiting for the return of my right hearing aid which is the second time I have sent them in for repair. I love the app but wish aids were more reliable I am wearing my older Jabra H861 hearing aids which are the equivalent of the ReSound One hearing aids (H961 model). The Bluetooth on the Engance 20 aids is noticeably better than on the older Jabra hearing aids.
@user-bt3en4rd4v If you have an iphone, first turn on bluetooth in settings. Then go to accessibility, click on it, then page down to hearing devices, click on it. If your Jabras are not listed, turn them off, then turn them back on again. Once they are listed, each aid will show a pair button, push it for each listing that shows up. The iphone will now show your aids paired with iphone. Music apos, pod casts, youtube or any other audio source will stream to your aids.
I currently have the Costco KS 8.0 and have been wearing them for about five years. I'm looking to be retested and am hoping to update to a better hearing aid. I will use Costco again.
I have worn different style hearing aids (HAs) for decades. A problem I have is hearing my wife’s soft voice over the TV at home. This is not simply a problem of speech in background noise. It’s two competing speech sources. My current old (5 yrs) Costco brand HAs can’t isolate her voice so we turn the TV off to talk -even when I forward focus the mics. Can any of the new Costco HAs (Jabra 20, Phillips 9050, Rexton Reach) help?
I'm still using my Kirkland 10s. I had them serviced under warranty about six months ago, so they are doing great. However, going without prescription hearing aid for a few weeks convinced me to upgrade. I tried the new Jabras. Sadly, I returned them they didn't perform as well as my K 10s. I couldn't hear soft speakers as well with the Jabras as I could with my k10s. I was also disappointed with the Jabra app's functionality. I have been waiting to hear feedback on the Rextons after their initial false start. Sounds like you think they are worth the investment.
I had the Phillips 9040 but returned them. They did have the most real sound and I am a singer so the clarity of music is important as is the sound of my own voice. But from what you have said and what I have read the 9050 will have better sound in restaurants and people talking and yelling in back of me while I am singing or trying to have a conversation is a big problem for me. The 9050s more directional hearing should be a big improvement for me where I need it most. I am surprised that the Phillips is still not available at Costco as it has been out since February 2024. :(
@@HearingTracker Thankyou Matthew, your site has been incredibly helpful for me! I was in the dark about what to look for and purchase before finding your channel.
There was definitely an improvement in the clarity in background when you activated the new software, but not even close to the improvement with Sphere.
Was placed with the Phillips 9040's a few months ago. Am hoping the 9050's come in before my 6 month trial period runs out so I can upgrade to the new model.
Using the Costco Phillips 9040’s for 8 months. Of the 3 options available at the time the technician was very clear that my audiogram supported using the Phillips. FWIW, I am very unhappy with them and am sorry I didn’t return them.
I currently wear Phonak P90R , but have worn COSTCO HAs in the past. For my next set in January I am focused on Phonak Sphere or Rexton Reach. So any information I can find is important for that decision. I hope to trial both.
I am in the same position but have 5 year old Phonak Audeo M-70s and I am considering the Sphere but the Rexton reach looks good from both a technological and cost effective point of view. Is the Sphere $2500. better? I know the tech is better but at what price?
Thanks for the video! I have moderately severe hearing loss. I'm using K9, everything is fine except when its come to talking in phone. Can anyone suggest me better hearing aid that works well on phone. I badly need for my work. I am 40 year old.
I just exchanged my Rexton Bi-Core for the Reach. Reason - the new fed mandate child proof (and turns out me proof) battery containers. Re: Color - given how many seniors are choosing Rexton, surprised there is no silver or white color to match hair.
I am currently using Rexton Bicor . Mostly they are the best of the 3 brands I have had . What I dislike is the size is a bit big for behind my ears, Wind noise , can’t use the programs etc on my apple watch. I especially like the way the wire follows my ear as I have had a big problem with that. I also use closed domes that rarely allow earwax getting to the wax guards. I found by chance ,the best audiologist Jay , in ft Myers Florida . I actually prefer replacing batteries as they last a week and the hearing aids are a bit smaller.
Unfortunately ENTs here in Ontario Canada, IMO are mostly “quacks”. As soon as you say “Tinnitus” they don’t go any further and refer you to the hearing aid store often conveniently located in the same building. Tinnitus sufferer for many years I tried ReSound thru Costco about 5 years ago. After 6 months of torture, trying to find the right fit I turned them in for a full refund. At that time I was not offered to change brands and/or a custom fitting. This week I decided to give it another go, as my hearing is getting worse. For affordability I am going back to Costco, appointment booked for the end of January 2025. Speaking with the customer service counter, is it just me or do they really seem bias towards the Phillips and Jabra? When I asked about Rexton they would work the conversation back over to the other 2 brands!!! It will be interesting to see what the Audiologist has to say at my appointment. Only this time I am going to try to be better informed than I was 5 years ago. Thank you for the quality of information in your content.
I have Jabra 20s and a Samsung S23. I will be returning the Jabras as the Bluetooth is glitchy and sounds terrible. I want to be hands free so I will check out the Philips if the 9050 already has the Auracast capability. The Reach is also an option when they do the update for Auracast. I am using a Moer Labs Auracast dongle to listen to your video on my PC and the sibilance distortion is terrible.
Are there any advantages of the Signia pure IX over the rexton reach to justify the drastic difference in price? I was about to buy Signia pure T 7IX when I found out about rexton being less then a third of the price and they seem identical. Maybe you could make a comparison video for them? I have been wearing hearing aids for 23 years and currently have Signia pure 5NX, they have been the best ones I have had. But they are about 6 years old and need to be replaced. Signia seems to be getting a bit outrageous with there prices. Looking at $6750 CAD for the pure 7IX pair
Well, I didn't fit in any of those 3 categories, so, I guess I'll head back to Cliffs channel where I started:) But I do enjoy your reviews and you definitely scooped Cliff on Sphere!. By the way, I'm waiting for your full review on Sphere!!
Here goes. I have been wearing the Lucid Engage.OTC.for over a year. I lost the right one 5 mos ago and have been wearing the left one! I ordered another pair 2 weeks ago... even though I have Jabra Pro 20 coming in next Tuesday. Why? I never got serious about using the frequency feature on the Lucid App and I do really like their phone/Hearing Aid set up. I wanted to give them a 2nd try. I love the phone service- I like the co. I am not sold on Jabra Pro 20 being twice the price . and being that much better. We shall see. Neither can connect to a PC and I edit video often.I tried Lexie 2 for 2 days.Yuk. I may wait to buy the higher end when it can blue tooth to a PC. But I am going to give Jabra Pro 20 a try. :)
Bought the Costco Rexton just over 2 years ago. But, it NEVER worked properly on Android Phones. I updated my cell phone twice to the latest Android & bluetooth. Rexton just won't really work at all with cellphone audio streaming or especially with telephone calls. Rexton BiCore support just not up to par. So am I going to try Costco again? No problem with the performance of Rexton. But, I have to push my bluetooth phone wireless on top of my RIC Rexton receivers.
They told me the smaller shops did that. I believe it's just sound matching. I've used fans and a variable sound machine to no avail though but if I had a spare $6500 it's be worth a try.
You'll love hearing aids. Being self conscious about the behind the ear appearance I just accepted them. Now I see behind the ear ones everywhere on men especially at Costco.
I clicked on your video becuase I bought a pair of Jabra Enhance Pro 20 in March of 2024 from Costco. I chose these because I understand they are the same as the Resound Nexie 9 except they do not have Cros or tinitus masting that I don't need for less than 1/2 the cost. My ENT recommended the Resound Nexie 9. I use the Multi-Mic to enhance signal-to-noise ratio & streaming from my computer & TV. As I'm sure you know it provides a telecoil however I've never found anywhere that has Telecoil so that has not been useful. You did not mention how the Rexton BT works with Android vs i-phone, this is very important to me (and I'm sure many others) because I am an Android user.
I didn't have hearing aids but plan on going to Costco for a hearing test and will plan on getting hearing aids there. There's so much information to absorb in which hearing aid will benefit me the most. I enjoyed your video! Was very informative. Best Duane
Watched because costco mentioned. Tried ks10 but batt life sucked, costco stopped seling them where I am. Rexton bi-core are ok about 1 yr now but words in noise lacking. Tried the Reach for about 1 hr in Costco store, seem better (my same pgm) So probably will buy the reach when I get sick of the bi-cores.
I bought Jabra and hate them. Bringing them back and checking what else is available. Does Rexton Bluetooth streamed music work well, and can you advance or reverse BTooth music using the hearing aid control? Jabra music and phone calls kept getting dropped. Can I answer and hang up calls with Rexton...then go to my music?
Good day, I am experiencing difficulties in connecting my mobile device to my hearing aids. I initially utilized the Phillips 9040 hearing aids and subsequently transitioned to the Jabra hearing aids. While I am able to perceive sound adequately, I am unable to activate the hands-free functionality on either device. Consequently, when I place my phone in my back pocket, the individual on the other end is unable to hear me, rendering the device incapable of functioning as a true hands-free phone. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you for your attention to this issue. Best regards, Duane Christerson
It is my understanding that both the Phillips and the Jabra use the phone's microphone for calls. My Phonak HAs as I understand use the hearing aid microphone and are unique in this regard. I suggest you put your phone in a shirt pocket with the bottom up.
Get their test and they'll recommend what's best based on your situation. You'll be amazed. Wander around the store and listen in on people's conversations for the first time in years.
I have a question or 2. I have the Costco Phillips. My problem with them is I find them metal sounding like I am in a tin can. They are to low. I have been back 5 times for adjustments and getting ready in 3 weeks to be out of return range. I asked about trying the Jabra or Rextons. I was told I could but if I did and decided that I like the Philips better, I can't go back to them cause that is manufacturers abuse and Costco does not allow that. SO, if that is not a lie from their mouths. What could be better for me? On the Philips I only have 2 programs and they say that is all that is allowed. My second question is I bought this philips audio clip like clip for $250.00 and it is so I will be the only one that hears what is on my computer. Well, yes, it silences my streaming but unlike my earbuds.... I hear everything and everyone around me. That doesn't work cause all the noise around me is louder than the streaming, even when I have computer, hearing aids and this little audio clip on max volume. I have Windows computer and Samsung phone. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I have a Philips 9050 hearing aid Bluetoothed to my Samsung Galaxy G21 Android phone. I am told by my Costco hearing tech that the 9050 can not answer or close phone calls by tap or button push with Android cellphones. In addition the 9050 microphone also is not active with Android phones. However these features are operational with iPhones. Apparently the iPhone patent for these features has expired, so Android cellphones could program these features in their smartphones to allow hands free operation and communication with the 9050 Philips units. Could you lobby Samsung to create an updated app or phone to parallel the use of the 9050 Philips hearing aids in a manner similar to the iPhone? Please let us know when there is an Android update to permit these features as they function in the iPhone: double tap to answer and end mobile phone calls, and an active hearing aid Mike to allow voice communication with cellphone not in one's hand near one's mouth. Thank you
I have a pair of Jabra’s. Bought them online, but won’t do that again. Online costumer service is not ideal for me. My next pair will likely be from Costco. I went with them because of the positive reviews. They are my first pair of hearing aids. I feel mislead. If these are as good as it gets for the price point, the tech has a long way to go before it catches up to the advertising.
Hey Conrad - I covered them here … The NEW Costco Philips HearLink 9050 Hearing Aids: Costco Hearing Aids Feature Review! ua-cam.com/video/hku5NJ1umIE/v-deo.html
I am trialing demos of the Oticon Intent. I have severe SN HF HL. Perhaps they need adjustment but I am not totally impressed after 10 days so I am considering the Reach. I din’t know how usual it is for Costco specialists to fit with custom tips or moulds as recommended if appropriate. I also wondered how these Reach aids perform in relatively quiet environments due to their dual processors (the performance in multi voice is good but not usually relevant to me). Some reviewers say their sound is “natural” . Finally there is speculation that the Reach is similar in tech to the Signia IX series 7 aids but I don’t know how much credibility that has.
I went from KS10's to the REACH and I'm still not quite sure the Rexton's are staying. While the recognition in noise is great with REACH, the streaming and phone sound and volume is pathetic! Also, while the KS10's did have their bluetooth quirks, at least you didn't need to but a "special" mic just to stream bluetooth from my PC. They also don't work as well as advertised when connecting 2 Apple devices at the same time. On the up side, the fitting software works well. The AI agent isn't very effective, but does make tiny, tiny changes to the program. There's not a lot of "I" in their AI.
I would NEVER buy an aid with out T-coil ! I have a pair of Costco brand aids that are 5 years old.... just came back from manufacturer for referb at no cost to me ... Outstanding COSTCO.
I hope that my Rexton experience mirrors yours.
good to hear. I'm trying to decide between the Reach and Philips 9050. Stuff like this has me leaning towards the Reach.
What reasons did Costco rep say yo discourage you from Rexton?
I came here because I saw the headline about Costco and the new Rexton. Dr Clif is okay, however, I most prefer your delivery and information. 🤔👏👍
@@jeffj318 thanks Jeff 😊😊😊
I’ve been using Costco KS10 R/T for the last 3yrs & love them.
Thanks for sharing Stephen!! Matthew
I am wearing the KS10, they will be 3 yrs old in October so I am in the market to replace them. Thank you for your very valuable service.
Hey EPSWAR, thanks for taking the time to comment. Matthew
I am replacing my KS10s with the Rexton Reach ... are these as easy to use as my KS10s have been?
In June, I tried the Signia 3IX hearing aids. As I was looking for a travel charger, I discovered Rexton hearing aids were made by the same manufacturer. Luckily Costco was just offering the Rexton Reach so I was able to wear both for a couple of weeks. I felt for my hearing, the Rexton Reach met my needs better. The great price was icing on the cake.
Great feedback thanks Blueskies! Matthew
Hey Ronin, I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully you'll find some value in the channel. Matthew
Hey Allen, thanks for sharing your experiences. Matthew
Features that I use extensively are:
a) being able to use my Samsung S23 phone connection hands-free.
I think it’s a global failing in audiology!! Glad the vids are helping everyone 😀. Keep looking after those ears! Matthew
I have purchased Rexton Reach because of the advanced technology. Before buying, I tried Phillips and Jabra at Costco. The Rexton was much less noisy and seemed to work much better for me.
Hey Jim! Thanks for sharing your experiences. Matthew
I have phontack and I just purchased rexton reach. Will get them in 3 days
GOOD LUCK! Matthew 😀
Hey GrayGeezer, thank you for sharing your experience. Matthew
Holy smackers! Any return on the expensive ones for the Costco ones? 🤔😱
@@jeffj318 Nope, the trial was up long before Costco got the Rextons.
@@jeffj318It was past the 30 day return period when Costco came out with these Rextons.
@user-bt3en4rd4v I was well past the return period when Costco came out with these. I’m posting so others can see the cost difference.
i got the Philips 9040 aids at Costco back in January, after 5 years(!) on a pair of Bernafons, which I loved.
One question, can I answer my iPhone hands freed with the Rexton Reach by just pushing the button on the hearing aid as I do with my K10s
Hey Parris! Thanks for the feedback. You HAVE TO check out the Hearadvisor independent hearing aid testing that is being done then. Matthew
Funny that you mention Dr. Cliff. No disrespect intended, I find Dr. Cliff's video production to be somewhat annoying. He's overly animated and the zoom shots just are not necessary. Your videos are natural, for me and that's a far better fit.
He's incredibly dishonest too.
I think Dr Cliff has been bought by Phonak (sarcasm) . He is no longer an independent voice. And his exaggerated facial expressions and arm waving are tiring and silly.
Thanks for sharing! Matthew
I picked these up today. Will see how it goes.
Would love to hear your feedback David! Matthew
I have had my Rexton Reach Aids for less than a week.
I currently have the Costco KS 8.0 and have been wearing them for about five years. I'm looking to be retested and am hoping to update to a better hearing aid. I will use Costco again.
Thanks for sharing, I'm sure you will be happy with your upgrade! Matthew
I have the same ones and just reached the expiration of the warranty. I'm looking forward to new technology too.
Hey MTE! I hope you manage to get the help that you need! Matthew
@@HearingTracker Thankyou Matthew, your site has been incredibly helpful for me! I was in the dark about what to look for and purchase before finding your channel.
I’m delighted to hear that 😊😊😊
Will Rexton update the app for Androids to allow for phone conversation through the hearing aids?
I will be a first time buyer and want all the info I can get my hands on.
Hey Parrot! Great that you've visited. Make sure you subscribe to load yourself with info! Any questions, then let me know. Matthew
One question is this app for the Reach better than the Easy Line app on my K10s … I hope so.😊
There was definitely an improvement in the clarity in background when you activated the new software, but not even close to the improvement with Sphere.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts GBK! Matthew
Was placed with the Phillips 9040's a few months ago. Am hoping the 9050's come in before my 6 month trial period runs out so I can upgrade to the new model.
It's great to try them all if you can. Matthew
Hi Matthew, will this hearing aids work for tinnitus like Signia?
Will the Reach cell phone features function the same for both the iPhone and an Android?
Renton. New customer this week. Better hearing in noise
I just placed an order for the Rexton but I am not sure about my decision.
To know the skinny on what Costco is offering. Was leaning towards the Jabra, but I think I need to consider the Rexton.
Hey ElectricFlows! TBH it would be great if they'll let you try both. Matthew
Currently KS9, which would you lean more towards for profound ski slope loss?
What is the BT range with the LE Audio; I am trialing similar Signia hearing aids but the BT range is pretty horrible
Will the controls work with an apple watch? Wind noise improvements?
Using the Costco Phillips 9040’s for 8 months. Of the 3 options available at the time the technician was very clear that my audiogram supported using the Phillips.
FWIW, I am very unhappy with them and am sorry I didn’t return them.
I currently wear Phonak P90R , but have worn COSTCO HAs in the past. For my next set in January I am focused on Phonak Sphere or Rexton Reach. So any information I can find is important for that decision. I hope to trial both.
Hey Larry, Hopefully you'll find plenty here on the channel. Matthew
Wear 9040. Training in for Reach. Overall, more comfortable and better app control
Good point. My Kirkland 9.0's aren't the most compact.
Haha! Come Back...
I promise the review will come but only when I've had the opportunity to fit them. Thanks for watching as always! Matthew
Does any of the Costco hearing aids come with built in Tinnitus therapy? Thanks!
They told me the smaller shops did that. I believe it's just sound matching. I've used fans and a variable sound machine to no avail though but if I had a spare $6500 it's be worth a try.
I have to restart Bluetooth every morning on hearing aids. What am I doing wrong? Doesn't the app keel this on?
Not wearing any yet. Just started researching.
…let me know if you have any questions! Matthew
@@HearingTracker my biggest issue is I don’t have a Costco nearby. Closest is 100 miles away. Hard to run in for an adjustment.

so how does the background removal compare to the phonak infinio sphere
@@HearingTracker thanks much
I clicked on your video becuase I bought a pair of Jabra Enhance Pro 20 in March of 2024 from Costco.
I have tinnitus and hearing loss, I don't have hearing aids, but I do have a Costco membership... that's why I'm here.
Cheers Rich! Matthew
I didn't have hearing aids but plan on going to Costco for a hearing test and will plan on getting hearing aids there. There's so much information to absorb in which hearing aid will benefit me the most. I enjoyed your video! Was very informative.

You'll be amazed how much hearing aids with increase ambient sound reception will help with your perception of tinnitus. It'll change your life.

Good day,
I am experiencing difficulties in connecting my mobile device to my hearing aids.
Best regards,
Duane Christerson
It is my understanding that both the Phillips and the Jabra use the phone's microphone for calls. My Phonak HAs as I understand use the hearing aid microphone and are unique in this regard. I suggest you put your phone in a shirt pocket with the bottom up.
Hey Duane, it depends on the phone that you're using... Matthew
Phillips because hearing specialist suggested it! 2:29

Philips 9050s out August 28th!
Why can’t these ha have two applications for two or more devices? That you can attach?
Only those featuring classic BT will. I.e Phonak/Unitron. Matthew

No I have my own practice in London, UK. Thanks, Matthew
One question that everyone wants to know. Is this the best Costco offering for hearing in noisy environments? Jabra vs Rexton, which one?
Video coming soon! Matthew
i have jabras and they suck
Someone please summarize Rexton vs Jabra? Thank you.
Thank you
can you double-tap the Rextons to answer an Android cell phone?
I have a pair of Jabra’s. Bought them online, but won’t do that again. Online costumer service is not ideal for me. My next pair will likely be from Costco. I went with them because of the positive reviews. They are my first pair of hearing aids. I feel mislead. If these are as good as it gets for the price point, the tech has a long way to go before it catches up to the advertising.
Hey Bum-Hip... firstly I hope your hip is ok, secondly there is so much value in working with an aud, I agree. Thanks for commenting. Matthew
I’m wearing Phillips HA
Thanks for sharing Liftoff! Matthew
I am eager to hear your thoughts on the Phillips 9050, as they are to be released soon

I got Jabra at Costco.
IMO Custom tips are a rarity from Costco, but that's just from the feedback I've seen in my comments. Good luck with your quest. Matthew
The first thing the audiologist told me was that I'd be hearing the highs that were long gone. He was right. It's amazing.
That's surprising as their warranty runs out at three years.
I’m wearing Oticon intent 1 hearing aid. Deep Neural Networks and all that.
