The warning in reverse is very welcome addition
Finally rear cross traffic. Probably not as good as sensor systems but it puts the M3 back at the top of my list for an around town car.
I disagree with Tesla's view that traffic on navigation route without Premium is "minor". I was considering getting Premium just for this. (I know it routes taking this into consideration without premium but its still nice to see)
Thankfully, I get premium for free
I just renewed my annual Premium subscription last week almost entire for this feature and to be able to remotely trigger the fart noise.
@@Joe-lb8qn You could just pop open a maps app on your phone and turn traffic on there, but that would be an added step.
Tesla has one of the worst lease deals of any car company. At least in Texas, You're going to need to put at least 7,200 before you down payment down just to sign the lease, and then with all the payments you're going to spend way more than the residual at the end. It's insane
i put down $4k for my model 3. it's just paying the taxes upfront. which is normal for a lease.
You should talk to Tesla , I’m fairly certain they take the rebate and apply it as cash down. That’s why they require the 7,200 ? I talked to them this was how I understood it
We just need improved windshield wipers
I have no problem with my wipers
@RONderluck then you don't have a Tesla
@ I I actually do. But I have more than one Tesla. I can prove it as well. Would you like to put some money on it? Say like 50k? What escrow service would you like to use?
No problem with my tesla wipers
@@RONderlucknice 😊
The blinker buttons honestly aren't an issue for me anymore on my 2024 M3. It's second nature now.
See but you don’t have a Model 3.
@@RONderluckYes, some people can be challenged mentally and have difficulty learning how to use 2 separate buttons on a steering wheel.
@@RONderluck He just said he owned a highland model 3.
Do you have to do roundabouts?
@ Roundabouts are so easy for a Tesla and I love it .
Still waiting on the Free Unlimited Supercharging transfer incentive. Looks like no new Tesla for me. 🤣
I'm floored that Tesla hasn't had cross-traffic alerts when backing up until now 🤯 my 2015 Subaru Outback has that...
@NickAndTech yeah honestly same, my 2013 Camry has that
I've also had regular problems with using right turn signal on my 2024 M3 since new. Finally took it into Tesla service, they replaced the whole steering wheel. It worked fine for a few weeks but now its half as bad as before - go figure... Never a problem on the left 🤷🏼♂️
I'd love to be able to teach the car domestic parking options such as condo and personal parking. Drive in and out of the parking area a few times and choosing lines and bounds in a quiz-style popup. Do this enough time and the car should learn how to go in and out. Would be neat to be able to arrive home, get out of the car, open the gate and have the car drive itself into the driveway and into garage.
I got so used to the turn signal buttons that I find it very annoying that I have to use a stalk in my other cars.
1. When can FSD start avoiding american potholes and 2. FSD was able to park in my home garage
If they get pot hole detection, mapping for the server, and avoidance, then every other car manufacturer will go out of business
10k miles a year for lease is a joke Why don’t they offer higher than 15k for people who drive a lot
Cause after 15k miles it’s cheaper to buy/finance
10k miles is pretty much industry standard at this point, many brands are doing it this way.
@@vnr1111 Tesla offers 10K, 12K & 15k mile leases

Just used my Apple watch and it’s so much more convenient! Love it!
This set charge level at destination is HUGE, Thanks Tesla
Winker stalks should be a factory fit option on UK cars.
So happy I came across your video! I was about to order a used model Y but I missed out on getting a low APR rate and leasing was never an option because I wouldn’t be able to buyout at the end of lease. Now that I watched your video I find out that changed! So I will be using your code at my purchase 😊. Thank you!
I know the owners love them, but these cars are too over the top techy for most people, Some of the features are getting scary, with how much control they take over.
I have the same problem with our X and the signals randomly not working. I’ve brought it up with service numerous times with no resolution.
If you live in Canada or anywhere where it snows only buy all-wheel-drive Tesla or you’ll be stuck all the time with very little snow
Not true, talked to many rear wheel drivers (in Alberta) handles well (with winter tires of course). I have AWD though, just because I stopped buying rear/front wheel drive cars. Still get winters though.
All these updates yet we still can’t close vents 😢
The A/C vents are my main complaint. I have a dark gray hand towel to cover up the driver's side vent when needed. Just have to make sure the other vent is on so you don't mess up the system.
@@ehreck close vents? Wouldn’t turning off HVAC system altogether achieve the same thing?
What you talking about?
@@albert109
No. I still need air flow from the passenger side but can't turn off/close the driver side that is making my hands cold no matter what position I have it set to.
@ oh you want the opposite of what the car can do? I can turn off passenger air, while leaning mine on; you want to keep passenger on and turn yours off?
You could split the 2 and set yours to a different temp than the passenger, I guess.
BYD makes more superior vehicles by far.
They are already outselling Tesla worldwide.
That includes cars in lower price brackets than Tesla.
China was smart, invite Tesla to Shanghai, use industrial espionage to steal all of their technology, incorporate their ideas and build cheaper vehicles all across China. Not a surprise.
Anyone reading this… it does not get better than 0% APR. it is THE killer deal. Try to get it through the promotion by the end of the year, even if you have the cash… cash in your pocket is better than in someone else’s pocket
I was annoyed my MYLR didn't have SiriusXM. I'm looking forward to that!

@toridas I tried not to but the comment was so idiotic I believed it was one of those 2020 election deniers or flat earthers who made it.
The reason that your blinkers aren't working, is that you are holding your finger/thumb on then. It is touch sensitive, which means it will shut off when you are holding on it, to prevent you from blinking by accident. Take off your finger for 1 second, and you will notice it works perfectly fine.
Nothing wrong with it :)

Do you have to stop to use FSD or can you engage FSD on the move?
You can engage on the move. The only thing you need to stop for is if you want to switch over to Autosteer or Traffic Aware Cruise Control.
@@kungfoochicken08 And, even then, you can engage to a degraded system (FSD to autopilot or autopilot to TACC) without stopping. You can’t do the opposite.

You can go down the stack from FSD to Autosteer or TACC, but you can’t go up.
Hi Ryan
New to Tesla, enjoy watching, taken delivery of a new Tesla Model Y performance, fantastic offer with one free Supercharging in the UK
I rented a 2024 tesla model 3 and it took me forever to find out that the signal icons were buttons that you press in to activate your signal.
10,000 Mi a year? I've had mine 7 months I'm already at 17000 miles in 7 months.
HW3 FSD Owners want a different update!
HW3 updates have been coming slow at least that is what I observe.
I got my M3 in March and it took about 6 months for me to be able to use the turn signal buttons without having to think about which one to press. 60 years of driving with stalks will do that do you. I also had problems with buttons not responding but it was because I wasn't hitting the button dead on. Instead of having to look each time to make sure to press correctly, I put a couple of dymo labels (< and >) on top of the buttons. Now I can feel EXACTLY where to press. I like the buttons now but I can see where roundabouts would be difficult.
@@don1az I guess you live in America? Unfortunately you don’t have access to the Chinese EVs as they are technology better and more efficient than your Tesla, cost less and have stalks. Plus a lot better quality. Maybe Trump can do something 😂
The Apple Watch update is #1
Ryan why is the model 3 performance so expensive to lease?
4:42 any idea which models and how far back this will go? I have a 2017 MS.
It would also be great if there were second seat position memory, but IDK if that requires sensors that aren’t in the passenger seat.
Great updates well explained.
Yea, charge level at arrival, excellent. I drive to friends and relatives homes that have limited charging.👍
I bought an Ioniq 5 (Limited), it has all the safety tech that my 2019 Mazda 3 had, plus a few extras. Tesla lacks almost all of those features that a five year old Mazda 3 came equipped with.
ready for this software update!
I came from a 2023 elantra hybrid which had rear cross traffic alert, I was kinda shocked the 2022 model 3 I bought didn't have it, glad it's getting added. Also I made sure I got the latest tesla I could get with stocks on them.
Great info … thanks!
For those who need a referral code, I have mine in my UA-cam bio!
If there an actual drive selector for drive/reverse and conventional turning signals I would get a Model Y in a heartbeat. Truly frustrating how much they try to reinvent the wheel for no good reason
The more features that are digitized, the more they can improve with updates.
Ioniq 5 has all of these standard features, charges faster, and rides nicer.
Does this apply to the Cybertruck and Model X? For Canada, could you create a video covering Tesla insurance, the cost of owning a Tesla, and how it performs in Canadian winters?
Ryan, is there any indication a round steering wheel will be available in the cybertruck?
Hard to believe Tesla isn’t going to update charging rates for their cars when most competitors charge at 350kw ugh
my turn signal also randomly does not engage no matter how many times I press it. been happening since I bought the car 5 months ago and when I brought it in for service they said "turn signal works, customer needs training". meanwhile service mode is flooded with SCCM errors with the service fix to REPLACE THE SCCM but they ignore those hundreds of messages. I just scheduled another service appointment but with each appt being 8 weeks out it's kind of insane. I don't even know where i'll be in 2 months to bring the car in since I travel for work a lot.
For the lease buyout at the end of the term, does that mean you have to pay whatever the amount is upfront?
No, you can refinance the buyout
What and how do you get referral discount?
I have a referral code linked on my UA-cam page you can use
Why can we still not get, "AVOID HIGHWAYS" on the Tesla Navigation??????? Been available on Google Maps forever!
So if you buy out of the lease, you have to pay an additional fee? When someone buys out of a lease then the company doesn't have to deal with trying to sell the car. So Tesla should be paying us for buying out of the lease!
what actually happens? at lease end you compare the buyout to what the car is actually worth, if depreciation killed the value you give it back, if Elon lobbying to kill IRA credits drives up the price of new EV's, and residual value is higher than the buyout price, you buy it.
The 0% is sort of a marketing gimmick I have good credit and they don’t honor it (the bank didn’t) Tesla is advertising a rate they have no control over which is misleading and I didn’t like. I love Tesla and own a couple but I was expecting the 0% and then got offered 5.99
What about my android watch? 🥺
What are you talking about?
No one other than broke people wear android watches
android 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@Ronderluck I'm going to cry all the way to work in my 2024 Model 3 Performance Highland due to your comment. If only I would have bought an Apple Watch instead of the car.
@Rondelluck I was just reacting to your completely biased opinion about smartwatches. Like yeah, Apple is the best selling watch globally, but Apple doesn't control 100% of the smartwatch market, and I would argue that broke people just don't even own a watch because they're broke. And Android phones are the best selling globally, but that doesn't make iPhones for broke people obviously. Tesla app support for Android Wear will come eventually. I'd bet money on it.
The money factor on CT is huge, better to just lease and just buyout shortly thereafter and finance via a 3rd party bank
What do you mean the manufacture on CT is huge. No, it’s not.
That’s a terrible idea tbh, if you lease a car then instantly try to buy it out your gonna pay more upfront instead of just waiting till the end of the lease term or just finance it from the get go and you never know when Tesla will drop the price of the Cybertruck

Does Autopilot get updates too.... like FSD?
I've owned a model 3 for 3 years. Only one update as far as I remember. Its getting so far behind the competition which offers better autopilot. Even VWs has better autopilot system than Tesla.
I believe there’s another update coming for autopilot which supports sharper curves. But not many changes over the years since it doesn’t have to “think” about changing lanes and navigating to a destination.
@@greenearth9945That’s a lie. 🤣
@@jrcreator2257 unfortunately it’s not. I test drove a ID3 Gen2 and it’s autopilot and assisted driving blows Teslas enhanced autopilot out of the water. Main reason I’m trying to sell my Tesla which no one wants to buy.
Are these features in all countries?
Please remember that spending $40,000 or more on a car actually cost you over $400,000 in lifetime opportunity lost costs how do you simply bought an inexpensive used car and invested the rest of the money instead. If you have money to burn or you never want to get ahead in life then go ahead and spend silly money on new cars.
Does the phrase "every Tesla owner will get the update" mean even the old Model S like my 2014 P85D?
New Tesla vehicles without Stalks look very weird - especially for trying to do Turn Signals. Glad I got my 2023 Model Y with Stalks for performing Gear Selections and Turn Signals.
I guess whatever you get used to.
The Enhance Sexy Stalks sort this out for $360. Their products are so good in general, that I am confident they’ll be as good as if not better than the originals. I use their buttons, and I have a button mounted behind the steering wheel left to indicate left, and one behind the right to indicate right. I also have a button under the center armrest that I can use to change gears if I don’t want to use the screen.
Would a ev tax credit on lease lower the payment or buyout?
No they're not passing it onto the consumer. For example the base Model 3 is 42,490. In Texas at least the total estimated taxes and fees are 5,910 but they roll some of that into the monthly payment for the lease. So the monthly payment with 0 down is 398 with 4,273 due at signing for taxes and fees. So you're paying 4,273 first, then a total of 14,328 for all the lease payments. That's 18601 for a car worth 42490. And then you would have to pay nearly $700 more just to purchase the car at their residual buyout of 28,522. However if you had purchased the car, even without the tax credit you'd only have around 23,000 left on the car. With the tax credit it's even crazier you'd have less than 20,000 left to purchase on the car. Yes the monthly payment is higher but the fact they don't pass it on to the consumer is insane.
@@nickmalia979thank you that’s what I thought too
It lowers the lease payment, but Elon is actively lobbying to kill the IRA credits.
@ it does not lower the lease payment. That’s the issue. You’re paying nearly 6 grand more than you would by just buying the car with the lease
Do you have a referral code?
I have a referral code linked on my UA-cam page you can use
Id get one if they'd be willing to pay off my HUGE negative equity on my current vehicle 😅
Adding on stalks is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.
Some People don’t know how to get out of their own way.
I wonder how many of these holiday update features will require premium connectivity, including watching sentry videos, weather mapping, etc.
The ones I think are the sentry clips, estimated detour times and SiriusXM.
Reason:
Live camera view needs premium
Live traffic data needs premium
Music streaming required premium
To me, the apple watch is essentially a smaller version of the mobile key so shouldn’t need premium. Weather at destination shouldn’t need premium since I see it as an extension of the AQI info it already provides.
@ AQI requires premium, though. And interestingly, the holiday update will make it so live traffic data no longer requires premium.
@@albert109 oh I did not know AQI was a premium feature. Granted I’ve had premium since the moment I picked up my car.
I just looked on my release notes and it does show that the construction on route is a premium feature so it might still apply to the estimated detour times.
Either way, I’d hope it’s all available without the premium connectivity. All I use it for is the music streaming since it allows for HiFi audio.

Boycott Tesla. Boycott racism.
Wow Tesla adding functionality due to taking away stalks so forward and backward maneuvering 😂 is easier. Rear cross traffic, omg Tesla is such an amazing tech company adding features that have been on vehicles for over 10 years. I wonder when they will finally have functioning enhanced autopilot like other vehicles. E.g., automatic traffic sign recognition and adjusting speed before the speed limit sign. Working windscreen wipers still don’t work and list goes on and on. In Europe Tesla’s are so bad at reading speed limits it’s a useless feature. Just feels like Tesla is trying to catch-up.
When will there be a Twitter integration?
That interior is trash and I'm not excited for my car to be another tech gadget.
I've never seen anyone use blinkers on the roundabouts in my area. You just watch til the car with the right of way commits. The only valid argument against buttons vs stalks not an issue around here.
It's probably more of a European thing, because I believe they're required by law to signal when they're exiting it to inform others waiting to enter that they can go in. Of course, they're trained to use them in driver's ed, and there are many more of them on their roads, so it's more of a natural thing to do, whereas in the US they're still somewhat rare in most places.

I bought out my lease on a MX in 2022 so something must have changed after I signed my lease in 2020.
It was the model 3 and Y they did not offer lease buyout. S and X were allowed to be purchased after lease. Which makes sense - you're probably not running a taxi fleet with top of the line models when your M3 and MY can do the same job cheaper.
👍
I wish I could park my 2024 model Y in my garage (a few inches from a wall) without the 3rd party wall sensor I purchased. Tesla vision sucks. Controlling music from your phone without paying for enhanced connectivity also sucks. Basic functions like searching for an artist or album does not work.
Really? I park a model 3 and Y in a standard 2 car garage without issue. That’s with a workbench and a mower in front along the wall.
Sell the Tesla to someone deserving and buy a Honda.
Leasing is still the worst option for vehicles always has been.
It's entirely dependent on an individual's needs and wants, for some leasing is a better option. But that's potentially hard to understand if you've never been in a situation where leasing would be a better option.
The numbers work if you’re trading in every 2-3 years anyway and don’t want the hassle of maintenance or repairs. I’d never do it, but my in-laws seem content with their leases.
have you seen how much Teslas depreciate? leasing makes a lot of sense...you can return it if at the end of your lease the car has depreciated 60% and is worth less than the lease buyout.
@ There’s no lease buyout with Teslas the last time I checked.
The dramatic depreciation just means it’s a great time to buy used. You can find a 2021 or 2022 Model 3 for $17-18k with only or so 25,000 miles.
The Trumpa 3 ? Not even as a gift. 😂 the light show? Really? 😂😂😂
