@@baileym4708 since the car was delivered inside a warehouse, the lightning inside was not bright. Lots of shadows. I used the flashlight to shine along the paint work and found several deep scratches on the rear bumper which was against a wall making the lightning even worse. Congrats on your MY.
@@raymottley7118 Good news is if you find it after the fact, they will still fix it. But good idea taking a flashlight. One other thing I found, if you get a darker color and pick it up in a bright sunny location, it is VERY hard to see some paint issues.
“Most people that have flawless deliveries don’t mention it online” that statement alone has given me so much peace of mind! I see about 100+ Teslas a day, they can’t be that terrible.

Some of your Points are a bit too much. You also have warranty and many of the things you described wont even be fixed on the spot. Check paint, that is very important. As you don’t want to have a discussion around scratched or chips afterwards.
Last year we picked up a Model Y and everything went really well. The biggest issue for first time owners is learning how everything works at the dealer. For example. opening the glove box, knowing where to place the key card to start the car, how to work the wipers, etc. That was the most stressful part of the pickup day by far. We are picking up another one because of the 0.99% deal and have full confidence that the delivery day will go well but I watched to refresh my memory in what to look for.
So true, I took delivery a couple of daze ago!!! No help from anyone so I do suggest that people watch these videos first and get the check list..take a breather if you need it and finish the list. In the hot sun, driving the car to the port for shipping to my island (nope, no home delivery) I finally figured out how to get the A/C working how I needed.

Great video. When I bought a new model 3 in 2019, I had to reject 4 new cars due to flaws. I went to buy my second tesla, a new 2023 model Y in black recently, but it had paint flaws, and scratches. They had to send it off to a body shop. Nice. They thought I was going to be like most people and just jump in and leave. I guess it's my job as the customer to be quality control.
dude! getting my new tesla 3 highland this week and i'm bringing this video for a step by step inspection. this video adds lots of value and i appreciate the thoroughness.... great work
I mean, absolutely check exterior. But mirrors, qi charging etc... If you find an issue after delivery just make a mobile service appointment in your app and have Tesla fix it while you're at work or whatever
When my car was delivered, it had few scratches, had uneven panels, wheel damage. I refused to take it home, they created a ticket & promised it would be fixed in 2-3 days. After waiting a few weeks for it, all those damages were fixed, but the body shop had added a huge dent on the hood and some type of glue on the passenger side. I was very upset that they had the thought of expecting me to take this car home. I complained to the manager. They kept the car for another few weeks, but gave me a voucher for $500 to spend on accessories plus they had given me a voucher for Uber while they had my car in service. After a month the window fell off as I drove, but a technician came to my home & replaced it free of charge. I think overall, Tesla has good service.
My Tesla Model 3 arrives beggining of next month, I'm going to do a dry-run of this checklist in a test-drive to get used to it and don't forget anything on the delivery day. Thank you!
Mahalo (Thank you) Jeremiah for your check list. This purchase of a Tesla was a NIGHTMARE!!!! Happy to tell all if need be. I came in here to let you know that No one at Tesla appeared to be at all interested in helping me with delivery and only wanted me to sign papers and be on my way. I stopped and said, I have a check list (yours) I want to go over FIRST. She pointed to my car and walked me over to it, stayed for a few seconds then left me. Good thing I watched UA-cam videos to know how to even open the door. Luckily she had it on "dog" mode for me. The car was parked adjacent to another with a very close towering light blocking the right hand passenger door. I took my time and did the exterior in the hot sun as the car was parked with no covering overhead. She popped back out to see how I was doing and I said, it would go alot faster if you could be around for me to do the rest of this list as I really don't know where things are located. She said, it's been inspected over and over, I don't know why you would want to do this. HUH? She was considerate not to put her feet inside and somewhat reluctentaly helped me to figure out if ports were charging and how to adjust my seat and mirrors and although pleasant, seemed to have other things she needed to be doing besides sitting there with me. I asked her to drive with me in the mall parking lot since I had not actually driven the car before. She said, they would have to arrange for a test drive in another car as I had not yet signed the paperwork. ugh Did I tell you they did not deliver within the 30 days (even with a delivery date and time they missed) of the financing or the trade in offer? YUP, they cancelled both and I had to redo it. Everything is on the phone so I asked for a printed copy so I could read over the new terms. I would suggest that clients do not get their cashiers check ready as I did as the terms and numbers changed (another hassle with the bank). Back to the list...there were a few things I did not know nor did she on the list: Part 3 Interior Test 12 volt DC receptacle in center console has power. (She shrugged her shoulders) No way would she allow Test Park Assist before I signed the paperwork so I skipped it. I never have found the Blind Spot settings et. from there on..she left and I could not figure out the monitor and by this time was exasperated and did not even attempt the Infotainment system and from there on did not understand where things were to even test them without anyone there to show me. I am going to have to watch more videos as managed to learn how to drive the car away from there and took it to the shipping dock to be sent from HNL to Maui. It was caked with salt from the journey over and I'm glad I watched your cleaning your Tesla video. She is a beautiful car, quicksilver with white interior...now to figure out how the climate controls work etc. BTW I did purchase a car cover that I LOVE already: ThinSGO for Tesla Model Y Car Cover Model Y All-Weather UV Protection Car Cover with Charging Port, Driver Door Zipper(2020-2024) Will be watching more videos to learn all I can from your channel as you are a good instructor, providing details that others miss.
@@bindoorellan I knew I was not the only one! It was unbelievable! Although I really like the car, I do not want to go through this type of purchasing experience again.
Just picked up my highland yesterday and there was a small dead panel in the ambient light and several scratches in the paint! So glad I have been watching all of these helpful videos and knew to look for smaller defects. They made me a service appointment right away.
I just ordered the 2024 model 3 and am so glad UA-cam put this video on my Home Screen. I currently have a 2018 Model 3 which did not have any issues at delivery. I am hoping the delivery of this one in April or May will go as well as my 2018 delivery. Thanks so much for this video and the check list. Wish I would have seen this video before ordering, I would have used your referral code
Got my Tesla delivered here in Australia and there are absolutely ZERO faults with what we get here. The Fremont factory is the culprit of all these viral “Tesla build quality sucks” videos and it’s making all factories look bad. I’m sure every other non-USA Tesla owner would agree
@JremiahJones - Thanks to your video and the checklist you have attached, I was able to save the trouble down the line and rejected the delivery today due to Alignment issues on doors and frunk in the 2024 Model Y Long Range. Thank you so much, keep up the good work!! 🤝
I used this for my delivery! The advisor was not super respectful about me wanting to do such a thorough inspection, but I did every step and I am glad I did it. Some notes: they did not include the front plate and charging adapter like mentioned in this video, but because I pointed it out i was able to get it. They did not fix any rock chips, but they did clean stains we found and fixed a broken screw at the bottom of the trunk. The flash light was a great idea btw. Generally, the used MY we picked up was in great condition, there were several rock chips in the front side, but nothing large at all. There was a tiny dent on the side, too small to notice if I wasnt as thorough (thanks to this video). There were stains/scuffs in the interior, but IMO nothing that couldnt be cleaned, improved considerably, or fairly acceptable. Anyways, thanks again! Super worth it. Oh PS, it did take me 1.5 hours and if I could do it over again id inspect the interior roof a little more.
Excellent video and explanation of what to check. This is equally useful to all car purchases, not just Tesla. I did not have this video resource when I bought my 2023 M3P but the delivery was flawless (I drove 4 hours to pick up an inventory car that had the color spec I wanted, trading in the car I drove to the Service Center - needless to say, I had a lot on the line for everything to work out). Heck, the SC even had all the delivery cars sync'd up to play a concert together for their new owners - this was an amazing experience. I'm taking delivery of a 2024 M3P in a few days and will be much more thorough inspecting the car this time. The main issues I've seen from YT delivery videos have been creaky seats, paint imperfections, and scraping noise coming from the wheels (supposedly from the aero covers) so those things are on my priority list to check. Maybe helpful to mention in your video to check for the presence of the USB sentry drive in the glove box and verify video is being captured. Also, check for excess wind/road noise and rattles when driving on various road surfaces. Along with the insurance, make sure to remove/deactivate a toll tag if you have one and activate on the new car.
I just want to put it out there that I outright mandate you do a delivery day inspection. It doesn’t matter if the vehicle is new or used. Always do an inspection regardless if its done by you or someone else. Also bring someone else with you to make the process faster.
Dude thank you what a great vid. I just put down a deposit on one after loving driving it in 2 test drives. Then started to get cold feet with all the reddit hate. Great to hear u say 98% are fine. But i will def use this checklist to avoid possible dramas later. Im in Australia and ours come from from China factory which ive heard good things about too so hopefully all good. Was so excited when i ordered then started reading and stressing. This brings some reassurance to what i can do to make sure everything is fine
Thanks for the Model Y checklist. I am picking mine up in 2 days. I will use your checklist. I saved $2,600 by looking at their inventory, on the website, rather than ordering from a specific dealer for the same model and trim level. I have to travel a little further to pick it up but, the savings make it worth while.
@@MrZetsuboubillyyes, same question, how was it? Picking up mine in the next two days, and did the same route, they have a significant discount on the inventory units
I'll be picking up my new Model Y Performance tomorrow. I got a 3750 discount on current inventory and additional 1000 for being a cybertruck reservation holder so it ended up being a good deal except for current APR rates.
I just appreciate the “Friends of Coal” license plate on a Tesla. Years ago I had that plate on my Prius. Also this is a great checklist for basically any car that you buy new.
you should do another review for cheapos like me who buy "used" tesla for more thorough inspection ie battery health check, etc. Thanks for this delivery inspection!
First. Thanks for all of your videos. It really prepped us for everything and we already love our new model Y. Wanted to share a stressful delivery story: My wife and I recently switched to AMEX High Yield Savings and I have the Rewards checking. These banks are relatively new and Tesla’s down payment third party “Plaid” doesn’t recognize it. We took your advice and didn’t try to send payment beforehand because we wanted to inspect the car before we put any more than $250 towards it. So we spent an additional two hours at the dealership trying to figure it out and ended up having to wire the down payment. Luckily we had a few hours left before Tesla’s finance office closed on the West coast. It all worked out, but the bottom line is make sure you have a more established bank, or just get the cashier’s check. :)
Picking up my model y in a few days. I’m in Alabama so not a single Tesla store or service center in the state. I have to go 3 hours one way to GA for delivery and any service centers so I really hope mine is squared away!
Thx for video JJ. I took delivery of MYP in Plano-Tx last night after placing order three weeks ago. Took advantage of .99% apr. Got there early and did external inspection. Found 1 small trim alignment issue. Paint is flawless. Took delivery and inspected inside. All was good.
Thank you very much for this video, it is very infomative and I took all notes. It will helps me go through all the things for my incoming tesla. I subscribed to your channel, please keep it going. 🙏❤
Wow... this is really extensive! I wish I saw this before taking delivery of my car though. I have found a few things that are questionable (since I am new to Tesla, some may be "typical"). Now I need to figure out how to get them to look at it without it being a big deal.
picked up my 2023 Model 3 two weeks ago, surprisingly no panel gaps at all, except front bumper is chipped and cracked, they have scheduled me to replace the bumper for free.
@@sunshadow9704 i did not ask, as soon as i reported at the delivery centre, they agreed to replace bumper for free, so i did not ask any questions and further.
@@QuagmireHimselfi got that, but the fact of replacement body parts or doing any other adjustments on what supposed to be a new car makes thar car used one. My question remains. Could you reject the car? And either get down payment back or re order brand new build? Thank you
You’re not working for Tesla for “free”. You’re deleting the middle man, the dealership, who would have *hopefully* done these checks (as they’re supposed to) and marked up the price on the vehicle. I’d much rather do these checks myself than deal with a dealership
@@claymango576 Nah gotta call bullshit. You don't make a product that expensive without quality control, and if that's the customer's job you're working for tesla and not getting paid for it.
@@PatrolBoat-Riverine-Streetgang - I gotta call BS on you. So you don't do this with every new car from all manufacturers? Meaning, you just jump in a new car purchase trusting no damage in transit or from the factory and leave but only QC/QA Teslas? When we purchased a Lexus, we did the same deal and that car was more expensive. It is just how it is, unless there is a brand you fully trust the dealership to be thorough on inspection which then I would ask what brand do you not check?
Just decline my new Tesla Y black tart all over the rear and taillight crack. Red flag when I notice it was dirty compared to the other Tesla lol looked like they went for a joy ride thanks for your video.
Good check list, too bad I am seeing this AFTER I got my car. So far, just a misaligned charge panel, by about 2 mm. The fit and finish and certain design choices are certainly below Honda or popular car makers. However, the driving experience and performance are far superior too; not having to go to the gas station...priceless.
So thanks for the video. I think you did a thorough job in covering all the things we should inspect before accepting delivery. So I was unable to find the PDF inspection checklist that you said would be included in the comment section. So was that something you forgot to include?
I really enjoy Tesla vehicles, outside of high end EV’s like Porsche, etc..Tesla is the only one who doesn’t throttle the performance. They give you 100% of what it’s capable of. All other EV’s feel watered down in the performance, like you know there’s more there but the company intentionally held out on you. With that said…why Tesla can’t get their quality control under control is beyond me. EVERY manufacturer has the light tunnel at the end of the assembly line with a group of workers who only job is to inspect it fully and if something doesn’t pass, it gets fixed before leaving the factory. Why Tesla can’t fix these things before a vehicle leaves the factory is simply unacceptable.
im making the move to tesla, getting the model Y perf. Making the move from Range Rover. my current RR cost me twice as much as the tesla, and then some, and i was still carrying out these types of checks on that. yes, i also had issues that i reported there and then. Anyone moaning about Tesla quality, clearly hasnt taken delivery of a new car before. ever. this is all just standard practice
Hi Jeremiah, Thank you for that very detailed checklist, I will use it coming weekend when I pick up my Model Y. I have two questions. You recommend a screen protection. In the manual for the car it says, don’t use a screen protection because a damage to the screen voids the warranty. I understand and accept that. However! I can‘t see any way an additional piece of thin glass could damage it or hamper its touch screen function. Have you heard of any case where that happened? And how about a phone mount affixed to the back of the screen. Would the obvious imbalance loosen or damage the screen mount. Have you heard anything in this respect? Thanks and thank for all your great videos, I learned a lot but, they make the wait for delivery day even harder 😂
I''m shocked that the customer has to do all this. Doesn't someone at Tesla inspect these cars before sending them out to the consumer? They should drop the prices if they don't.
After long consideration I have decided to go with the LR M3 Stealth Grey black interior. I went for a test drive and it is a beast. Very comfortable , quiet. I will get the boost so that is enough power for me. I need to be practical. I don't want to worry about damaging rims over potholes , i never go on the track , I don't drive more than 75 on freeway and 50 on city streets and this has better range. Glad I placed my order and I am officially part of Tesla family 🎉🎉
Thank you for the video. I’m looking to get a Tesla model Y in roughly 3 years.(not joking) need to pay off my current car and then save up to buy the car outright
My car would get delivered, if there is something wrong what do I do? And also would they make sure at Tesla everything’s ok when the car is coming on a 6hr trip to save them from having to get it again to repair?
Hey Jeremiah, question I take delivery today I went to the dealership around 11 pm last night. I noticed a panel gap in my frunk. When I stood in front of my Model Y, the left looks like it’s pushed in slightly and it’s very noticeable but the right is flush. Should I refuse delivery or is that something Telsa service can easily fix or resolve? I looked at the same spec on their stock lot and the frunk was even and flush!
Detailed video, but ridiculous this is even necessary. No other new car I’ve ever bought required this because quality control handled it. Really makes me question whether to buy a Tesla.
People don’t realize because Tesla sells directly to consumers, there is no longer a middle man/dealership performing these checks. I don’t think Tesla quality control sucks I think people are just used to a dealership catching all these items before it’s sold to them as a consumer. I much prefer the responsibility of these checks being on me as the consumer, than have to deal with dealerships or trust them to care as much about my car as I do and to do a thorough insp
No. Absolutely not. This is ridiculous. My buying experience was flawless. Sure, things can happen. Give it a 15 minute check over. Anything you may have missed will be taken care of by Tesla with no fuss. Their service is fantastic.
Bring all weather floor mats? Are your shoes on fire? I’ve had the standard floor mats for 4 years, they’re still as new. You do need to clean them every now and then, just like every other car.
How bad does the Tesla built quality have to be to even think about perform these checks? LOL I owned many gasoline cars in my life and don't think I've ever done any of these quality checks on the day of the purchase. LOL
I've had a 2023 Tesla Model Y for around 1 1/2 months now and I noticed that the front passenger floorboards creak when stepped on in a certain place (same for the driver as well). Is this a concern?
FYI, Tesla in West Covina would not allow to conduct an interior check of the vehicle because I would not sign the acceptance letter. Furthermore, I was not allowed to inspect the interior without signing the acceptance letter.
The answer is no, I mean some of the complaints over minor paint chips, are ridiculous I mean, if you have a major issue like a panel or a door that’s misaligned, loose carpeting that could possibly cause you to have issues with driving the car, the steering is loose or you have some issue with the tires/wheels and things like that, then I would definitely not take delivery of the vehicle. So I get that it is a bit disappointing, when you find something that’s wrong with a car at this price point, but paint chips or scratches, those things are easily documented, and Tesla will take care of that, as that’s minor stuff. I bought my first Tesla back in 2018, and I am going to pick up the Model S today, and I am hoping for a good experience that will not lead to the kinds of things I’ve heard on this particular channel. Cheers 🥂
Thx for the detailed response. See, I am very negative surprised that there is a such thing as Tesla delivery check list. I have never heard anyone to bring this up when it comes say to pick up BWM or MB or Volvo or Audi. This is clear and solid indication that teslas are not high quality vehicles when it comes to manufacturing. Just today I chatted with Tesla owner at the parking. 🅿️ He owned BMW. In short his words were. Tesla not even near when it comes to the built quality. We walked over his car. I saw first hand. I stay with Germans. Sadly Americans can’t build quality products.

That does not sound like good service. I would have refused delivery.
This is disgusting for a so called brand new car
Could you refuse the car?
If yes, why didn’t you?
This is a disastrous experience.
I'd definitely have refused it.
What a piece of crap!!! Lol
My Tesla Model 3 arrives beggining of next month, I'm going to do a dry-run of this checklist in a test-drive to get used to it and don't forget anything on the delivery day. Thank you!
Super helpful video to remind you of things you may forget during the excitement of a delivery. Appreciate the checklist as well. Thank you!
When I seen your comment, I went back and said maybe I missed it, but I didn’t see a printable checklist. So where did you find it?
She said, they would have to arrange for a test drive in another car as I had not yet signed the paperwork. ugh
Did I tell you they did not deliver within the 30 days (even with a delivery date and time they missed) of the financing or the trade in offer?
BTW I did purchase a car cover that I LOVE already: ThinSGO for Tesla Model Y Car Cover Model Y All-Weather UV Protection Car Cover with Charging Port, Driver Door Zipper(2020-2024)
Will be watching more videos to learn all I can from your channel as you are a good instructor, providing details that others miss.
Mine too. Can’t believe I still bought it
oops, had to return the cover as it did NOT breathe! I used your washing method and He, not a she as It's a Y! LOL looks great!
@@bindoorellan I knew I was not the only one! It was unbelievable! Although I really like the car, I do not want to go through this type of purchasing experience again.
It's experiences like this that I won't be buying a Tesla. Haven't decided on witch other manufacturer to go to.
Just picked up my highland yesterday and there was a small dead panel in the ambient light and several scratches in the paint! So glad I have been watching all of these helpful videos and knew to look for smaller defects. They made me a service appointment right away.
What do u mean by dead panel?
Just took delivery yesterday in NY.. 0 problems. My model 3 was perfect.
What was the trade-in value for your model 3 if you don’t mind me asking
I got 22K for it
@@rxdude5858not bad at all. Thank you for your response. I was concerned about the low trade in value of EV cars.
Got my Tesla delivered here in Australia and there are absolutely ZERO faults with what we get here.
The Fremont factory is the culprit of all these viral “Tesla build quality sucks” videos and it’s making all factories look bad.
I’m sure every other non-USA Tesla owner would agree
@JremiahJones -
Thanks to your video and the checklist you have attached, I was able to save the trouble down the line and rejected the delivery today due to Alignment issues on doors and frunk in the 2024 Model Y Long Range. Thank you so much, keep up the good work!! 🤝
Curious - why reject and not just have them put a service ticket in? Was it so significant it was undrivable?
THANK YOU! So helpful, have delivery tomorrow, will use this list!
Only the primary needs to be there to sign for it. I just called the Tesla service center and they confirmed that.
I’m picking up my Highlander 2024 in just a few hours!!! 🎉 This video is an excellent resource.
I’m pretty sure you didn’t pick up a Highlander. Unless you were mistakenly at a Toyota dealer.
@@rickslife 😂Highland!
Picked my X up yesterday. No issues. Would love to see this level of criticism on GM cars…
You're charging $5 for your delivery checklist? You just gave it away for free in the video.
Look at it has a donation!! I just got the model y version.
Damn, the nonexistent QC at Tesla is crazy. I couldn’t imagine having to do all this to buy a car. But I’m still getting one 😂
This brings some reassurance to what i can do to make sure everything is fine
delete reddit...that's just a cesspool of political hate and stupidity and negativitiy.
Great video, thanks. This will be useful when I pick up my Tesla soon!
How was your vehicle?
@@MrZetsuboubillyyes, same question, how was it? Picking up mine in the next two days, and did the same route, they have a significant discount on the inventory units
I'll be picking up my new Model Y Performance tomorrow. I got a 3750 discount on current inventory and additional 1000 for being a cybertruck reservation holder so it ended up being a good deal except for current APR rates.
I just appreciate the “Friends of Coal” license plate on a Tesla. Years ago I had that plate on my Prius.
Also this is a great checklist for basically any car that you buy new.
My first tesla delivery day is today!! Going to have to have this vid on me when i go
you should do another review for cheapos like me who buy "used" tesla for more thorough inspection ie battery health check, etc.
Absolutely brilliant video bro 👊🏽
Thx for video JJ. I took delivery of MYP in Plano-Tx last night after placing order three weeks ago. Took advantage of .99% apr.
Got there early and did external inspection. Found 1 small trim alignment issue. Paint is flawless. Took delivery and inspected inside. All was good.
Thank god I was at dealer that did all the checks for me already and they found one issue where they help me book a tech to my house to fix it.
Simply if customers are checking all these things then it clearly shows Tesla Quality Control sucks!
I can attest to this with my new Model 3 that is 15 days old
I mean it’s good to check over any new vehicle. Teslas just have a little higher chance of issues.
Every cars quality control sucks got an ML 320 a few years back had to deny delivery due to multiple defects
Or not.
nah. if I'm spending 40k+ on anything, I'm combing thru it
Thank you very much for this video, it is very infomative and I took all notes. It will helps me go through all the things for my incoming tesla. I subscribed to your channel, please keep it going. 🙏❤
i need to rewatch and write down like everything u mentioned. gonna take me a couple hours to inspect my new car omggggggg
Wow... this is really extensive! I wish I saw this before taking delivery of my car though. I have found a few things that are questionable (since I am new to Tesla, some may be "typical"). Now I need to figure out how to get them to look at it without it being a big deal.
Such a thorough report. Thank you Jeremiah. 🎉
picked up my 2023 Model 3 two weeks ago, surprisingly no panel gaps at all, except front bumper is chipped and cracked, they have scheduled me to replace the bumper for free.
Could you reject a car?
@@sunshadow9704 i did not ask, as soon as i reported at the delivery centre, they agreed to replace bumper for free, so i did not ask any questions and further.
@@QuagmireHimselfi got that, but the fact of replacement body parts or doing any other adjustments on what supposed to be a new car makes thar car used one.
My question remains. Could you reject the car? And either get down payment back or re order brand new build?
Thank you
Great suggestions. Overall arrive early, bring lunch, and be prepared to work for Tesla for free😂.
You’re not working for Tesla for “free”. You’re deleting the middle man, the dealership, who would have *hopefully* done these checks (as they’re supposed to) and marked up the price on the vehicle. I’d much rather do these checks myself than deal with a dealership
What’s the hourly rate for QA tester
This is absolutely hilarious and sad at the same time that a customer needs to check all of this LOL
Scary how much work you gotta do before accepting car. Like someone should have been assigned to do this before
Just decline my new Tesla Y black tart all over the rear and taillight crack.
Can you fly out and inspect my tesla on pick up day lol - this video is underrated and needs 2 million more views.
im making the move to tesla, getting the model Y perf.
It’s a legacy from the early days….the build quality is much better now…..still worth checking everything to save hassle later..
Just ordered mine a few days ago. Thanks for the video. Will be for sure doing this. Thanks!
Question, do they come fully charged?
Hi Jeremiah,
Thank you for that very detailed checklist, I will use it coming weekend when I pick up my Model Y.
Thanks and thank for all your great videos, I learned a lot but, they make the wait for delivery day even harder 😂
that was 100% good video. thanx man
this video is funny, lol.. So basically inspect your car fully, which anyone should when buying an expensive item, ie house, car, boat, etc...
I''m shocked that the customer has to do all this. Doesn't someone at Tesla inspect these cars before sending them out to the consumer? They should drop the prices if they don't.
Should have done this with my nissan i have noticed a ton of panels misaligned and the seeals also poorly installed.
Thank you for making this. As soon as Highland performance comes out in Phoenix Arizona I'm getting it, gray with dark seats !!! Can't wait
How are you liking it? I just placed an order for the same trim as you
I thought Teslas can get shipped right to someone’s home ???
Thank you for the video. I’m looking to get a Tesla model Y in roughly 3 years.(not joking) need to pay off my current car and then save up to buy the car outright
Great Tips. Very helpful.
My car would get delivered, if there is something wrong what do I do? And also would they make sure at Tesla everything’s ok when the car is coming on a 6hr trip to save them from having to get it again to repair?
Hello! What's on the corner of the display? Is that a phone mount? are you able to let us know the brand? 9:25
The Tesla wipes in checklist below are good and safe for the white seats on new 2024 M3?
Thanks very informative
Thanks for this
I know they’re gonna love me with contractor’s light😂
Are they kidding. I’ve bought 10 brand new cars in my life and NEVER NEVER NEVER had to do all this. Are the cars that bad?
No. Absolutely not. This is ridiculous. My buying experience was flawless. Sure, things can happen. Give it a 15 minute check over. Anything you may have missed will be taken care of by Tesla with no fuss. Their service is fantastic.
Don’t sign any paper work if you see any issue and I would demand a complete refund and cancel your ordet
Refund? If an interior light doesn’t work, you wouldn’t get them to fix it? You want to go through a refund and order a new car?
Great list, but I can't print it. What is a .md file? Any link to a .pdf file or .doc file? Thanks.
So you want to educate people but why are you putting your checklist behind a paywall?
When do you come up for breath?
Subbed!
Great video!
Bring all weather floor mats? Are your shoes on fire? I’ve had the standard floor mats for 4 years, they’re still as new. You do need to clean them every now and then, just like every other car.
No floor mats in my base M3 RWD.
Where is my list, I have just paid for it?
How bad does the Tesla built quality have to be to even think about perform these checks? LOL I owned many gasoline cars in my life and don't think I've ever done any of these quality checks on the day of the purchase. LOL
awesome videos, sad that Tesla QA protocols is not efficient ...🤔
Thank you bruh
I've had a 2023 Tesla Model Y for around 1 1/2 months now and I noticed that the front passenger floorboards creak when stepped on in a certain place (same for the driver as well). Is this a concern?
Put a service request in with Tesla.
This is too much to check I will not remember all this
Thanks for the great video!
When are you expecting to get stuff back in stock? I too am waiting for the highland but I’d like to buy my accessories through your site.
FYI, Tesla in West Covina would not allow to conduct an interior check of the vehicle because I would not sign the acceptance letter. Furthermore, I was not allowed to inspect the interior without signing the acceptance letter.
What’s Tesla policy in terms of acknowledging the issues?
Is customer obligated to take a possession of car with any defect?
He owned BMW. In short his words were. Tesla not even near when it comes to the built quality.
We walked over his car. I saw first hand.
I stay with Germans. Sadly Americans can’t build quality products.
Love your video! Thank you!
Did you install your radar detector yourself? I have the same one and just ordered a model Y today. Can you send the link the wire tap you used?
Here you go: ua-cam.com/video/uYzgB2-tUfY/v-deo.htmlsi=Ncaf7G4WZARQt8Py
This seems overkill. Is Tesla that bad? I've never checked a new vehicle this close.
isn't it sad that you have to look for such problems with a brand new car that cost like 50k
As someone who is just looking into Teslas, why does he say scammed into FSD towards the end?
It’s cheaper to just pay $99 per month for it vs $8000 upfront and in most cases you can’t transfer it to a new vehicle.
Also when he made this video FSD wasn’t as good as it is now.
why is it so difficult
If the underside of your car is scratched who cares lol it’s gonna happen so fast anyway. You won’t see it
Is this a Tesla thing? Do they make them cheap or something?
Is there a Model S checklist??
