This was an interesting take on t-mobile upgrades but the math only works if switching to a cheaper plan.. i love the max plan with a ton of benefits like free wifi on flights.. mobile hotspot.. free netflix.. etc. The question i have is can i upgrade my phone without having to trade in mine.. sell my phone and finance rest for thier required 24 months?
Mint mobile isn’t the only MVNO… Visible, US Mobile, Boost, Tello. Most have hotspot and Visible’s is unlimited. And a question to ask yourself is would you rather pay an extra $25-$40 per month for “free” plane hotspot? Doesn’t make sense still.
Going with an unlocked phone on an MVNO is the best thing I've ever done. I've been on Mint for two years and don't really see a reason to switch. Sure you're not getting the absolute highest network priority, but I'm on wifi quite often anyway. You can't beat the freedom of owning your own device.

Meh, you can own your own device with T-Mobile too. Just pay off the remaining balance, and then you can have it unlocked and switch to any other carrier you like.
What can be done to reduce the amount or unlock the phone?

You don’t have to trade in? You just have to make payments on financing the new phone? You can choose to keep your old device. I typically pass my old devices down to family members. 🤷

So every 2 years you just give them your iPhone and they will give you the latest iPhone or latest galaxy do you have to give any $ upfront I just got the 15 plus
This guy got the promotion wrong. It’s only $800 totally. This iPhone forever was good for the iPhone 12, 13 model only. It cost $799 in 2021. If the price changes in 2028, you still get the new entry iPhone which would be iPhone 21 FOR FREE!

You cant. You must keep the service active or payoff whatever amount is left to be credited for
This makes sense if you’re broke. We do it because the service is great unless you want to downgrade for cheap service

Now I will pay $90 per month for 2 years. Why do I need this, they told me that they would unblock it. After 2 months, they deceived me.
T-mobile commercial ad says. We charge no extra charge to customers on phone bill from T-Mobile, but.. your company does charge extra a lot of money. So T-mobile are not guaranteed, because they post false an advertisement that is not true. so where does that over charge money go??? And Why T-mobile force customers to pay more money, when customers truly need phone service. Also when customers can't afford to pay a phone bill. T-mobile just ignore customers financial problems due to inflation?? T-mobile company is no good for customers who struggle on paying bills. We understand we need to be very diligent on our spending, but still T-Mobile needs to improve their company. So we can get better service, so we can all communicate to our loved ones and friends, etc.

The logic he explain also rely on how reliable is coverage in your city on Mint Mobile . For me I had to switch over from ATT cause their 5G was really bad in Vegas. I switched over that Magenda Max plan for 3 lines with $800 on each new Iphone but they also gave me perks like forever employee discount thouh im not a TMobile employee making my plan $118 for 3 lines ($40/line) . On top of that im getting $200 gift card credit card per line ($600 total)
If I stay for 8 weeks and also free nextflix on 2 TVs.
T-mobile network is shit in Michigan but Verizon phones have good network signal.

Service was bad in Vegas??? I highly doubt that. You probably had a shitty phone with att and just wanted a new phone and your trying to justify that by going on a Tmobile plan to get "free" new phones they bent($5000) you over on. I hope you canceled your "free perks" cause once they start billing you monthly for each service your "free perks" arent free anymore

Mint is merging with T-Mobile, soooo moot. Also, where's the disclaimer of "If you don't have a watch with cellular network, and don't use any of the other amazing benefits that T-Mobile gives you."
My family and I have T-Mobile since 2000. There family plan is amazing tenured customers not only get upgraded iPhones but free gently used refurbished phones of various brands.

Yes the math works you are correct. I would just say people who are getting new iPhones every year through a major carrier are also financing the phone through the carrier. They generally cannot afford to purchase the phone out right. And generally speaking, people who would do something stupid like finance a phone probably don’t really care what the mouth says to begin with or else they wouldn’t be financing anything.
You do realize it's 0% interest, right? I mean, if you're subscribed to that T-Mobile plan anyway, you might as well take advantage of the perks like this and spread out the expense.
