I dont even use iphone nor do i care about these deals but the polish and the amazing presentation Stetson delivers in each video in immaculate. Thank you so much for every video you post. You are the GOAT
Buying your phone unlocked is definitely a smart move. I'm not necessarily against the financing deals though. Many of my friends keep their phones for 3 years, and getting the device for free with a trade-in may not be a bad move for them.
T mobile went nuts, I have magenta max which use le to be the best and most expensive plan, now not even close, they added Go5G plus and next just to increase prices cause there is no much difference between the plans just they taking more money from us
As a Verizon rep., I can tell the trade in promo is real and works from the iPhone 3G all the way to the 14, I didn’t believe it too, but man 36 months it’s insane
Yeah, I was blown away that it worked from the 3G. How many people have an old phone lying around and can trade that and keep their current phone for back-up?
That's because the big wireless companies make their money back on the service. At $70-90 a month that's $2520 to $3240 over 36 months compared to the $25 a month which is $900. So there's the cost of your iPhone 15 Pro. There's no such thing as a free lunch.
Great video! Another factor is AT&T includes a $20 dollar monthly bill discount if you use their home internet service, making it a more competitive option.
You mentioned about AT&T locking the phones for the whole 36 months Verizon may be the most expensive but Verizon automatically unlocks their phones after 60 days from activation so you could pay it off and get out after two months. And this goes for ALL of their Verizon post paid, prepaid, Visible, etc.
Great call! You wouldn't really be getting a deal though if you pay off the phone. Better to just trade in through Apple and buy the iPhone unlocked, or sell your old phone on a website like Swappa.
As far as I can tell they unlock the phones after 60 days even if still being financed. This means that if you need a backup line running on AT&T in areas where Verizon has issues you can run that eSIM alongside the Verizon eSIM.
@@kimoc.4163 From what I have heard AT&T does not bother locking their tablets. So if you need to add a tablet it might be handy when adding to a plan especially if it is an iPad that you can pop a Verizon Prepaid data sim in an area where AT&T does not work like in the middle of the Las Vegas Sphere assuming they still do not lock the tablets.
Do one WITH NO TRADE IN PHONE. So you can keep it and sell it on your own. See what kind of offers you can get for 2 lines and zero trade-ins from all the companies
Xfinity also has 1 yr off the monthly payment for the 2nd line. So additional 360 off. I traded an older iPhone and they took my XS and XR for $600 each. That’s better than trading in Apple. Good review bro! That’s alot of math.
Agreed! Unlocked from Apple and on Visible+ $35. Couldn’t imagine paying almost $100 for a single line for 36 months. Just for Verizon to change to a new plan that cost more every single year
So theoretically speaking…… I can get the boost infinite deal Get 1000 off a 15 Pro Max Pay off whatever is remaining on the phone itself, cancel the service and then get a cheaper plan with another carrier once it’s unlocked. Effectively giving me a cheaper phone and a cheaper plan. Nice.
HEY Stetson!!! Man, you are "THE BEST" with your reviews!!!!! This review of the best phone deals is so clear and UNDERSTANDABLE! And, that's how I discovered your site. I'm an artist and I use my iPhone 11 in my work...so, I really need this new 15 Pro Max for the camera!!! I'll plan to get the Titanium Silver color! I'm a YOUNG 80 year old guy, but with a 30 year old heart and love of life! Thanks, Mike
Im with TMobile. Two of us (she has the 13 pro, me 12 pro) I was just offered $200 for a trade in on my very clean iPhone 12 Pro towards the iPhone 15 Pro Max. I’ll try something else. Any recommendstions? US mobile?
@jonny_laguna Yes most have some partnerships with local companies. Verizon and ATT and Xfinity charge $10/day overseas but AtT has no charge in 19 Latin american countries and Mexico and Canada. But T mobile does not charge in many other countries. Europe, India, Far East i am told.
Excellent breakdown. I don't want an iphone15 because I don't want to get mugged are carjacked for some coveted phone. This is why I've kept my iphone 8 for all these years: no one wants it & it still works and charges great. Sad that crime has been rising since 2019 the way it has. In the SF Bay area, criminals will kill you for a new iphone or mac computer: not both EITHER one. I don't mean in "the hood" either, the criminals have gotten bolder and they walk right into Starbucks in broad daylight in the wealthiest neighborhoods. These are teenage/very early 20s males and they do not care. Give me a working, old phone w/excellent battery life, a good camera, and a solid pre-paid plan.
Catch with t-mobile's trade in is that they take the "fair market value" of the phone upfront. Let's say you do a 13 pro max and the "fair market value" is considered $365, You get $365 as an instant credit to apply in store or to apply directly to the phone bill. The remainder is applied as a monthly credit on your device's finance.
I often look at these FREE iPhone/finance deals but I can't see myself leaving a $25 unlimited talk & text plan with 30GBs of hotspot data. Remember all pre paid plans use the same cell towers as the majors......... Theeee SAME 🤷🏾♂️
Sooooo glad I saw this video!! Ordered through Apple instead of T Mobile and got the instant credit! Could pay off the phone whenever I want, not stuck on the contract.
I bought my Galaxy S-22 and Samsung offered free interest and pay $ 34 per month for 3 years with no contract with any operators. Now I see you have to pay 7.99% interest for monthly pay from Apple. if the interest was 1% or 2% probably bought the iPhone Pro Max 15.
According to your math… Xfinity is the way to go always if you’re a comcast customer. Plus it’s on the Verizon network as a virtual mobile operator. Dude it’s only $30 per line when you have two or more lines… common that’s $120 for the plan plus whatever you need for the phones. Also while you had this video up Xfinity was offering a buy 1 line get one free for 12 months promo. That promo expired on the 19th, but as of the 1st its back. ALLLLLSO…. If you have Xfinity internet if your reup your internet contract then open a new Xfinity mobile line within 60 days you get $20 off your monthly internet bill.
I had a chat with "us mobile" customer support system. They are saying that they don't do trade-in but it's saying different in your video. Honestly, I am confused. Can you please give some insights on this?
I have a question about us mobile, im currently have a $50 plan and want a iphone 15 plus do you know if i can get that credit and how much would my monthly payment would be?
My S22 ultra screen is having dead pixels I went with Att single and Iphone pro max 256gb and Im on Cricket but need a working phone fixing S22ultra cost around 400 dollar's so I went past Sams Club which the deals is around 65 a month I will take it for now
Hiii im from the Philippines and im currently here in US if i buy an i phone here can the carrier like verizon or at n t make the iphone from locked to unlocked so that i can use it in the Philippines? Thank you
Shoot.. I am an AT&T existing customer. I have an elite plan.. I trade in an iPhone 11 Pro Max, I’m wondering if my $830 trade will apply to my current plan for the iPhone 15 Pro max 😢 I did not know about the new unlimited starter plan!
Question, I ordered my iPhone 15 pro max 256 GB from version it said it’s on back order I Ordered it on September 30th and it said it will be shipped/delivered on October 27th or two before that date by 8pm, is that correct or what?
Stetson, you keep missing the point; in this economy it's all about how much $ ppl have to plunk down up front. Most ppl can't just buy one outright so it doesn't matter as much the overall savings. Like I went to dish since lowest upfront cost. I have a tmo biz plan and they wanted $599 down for the 15 pro max I wanted. Deal breaker. ... My son had a trade in so his worked out but not ideal.
When you do the math of 36 months of $90 dolar. It's absurd. How you're going to pay $3,240 dollar for a device... Is way more cheaper to get the device at the store unlocked. And then get a $25 dollar plan for 12 months..
OK I’ve seen a couple of comments that have mentioned the reason the prices are high on cell phones and service is because interest is being charged on financing. That is absolutely, positively, incorrect. All these cell companies DONT NOT charge interest. These are interest free rates for 24 or 36 mons. I worked for Apple for 10 years. I know how all of this works. Apple does not charge any interest either. The monthly payments that you see have zero interest attached to them.
Stetson! You're the man. I was struggling to figure out how to make the AT&T deal work for me but I can just go with a prepaid and not worry about all this madness.
Im thinking about getting the 15 pro m i got the 11 p m my phone is the 64gs and its full so i cant even get messages sometimes and they erase what would be the best way? I was with tmobile now with metro and wanted to change to visible bc cheap. Btw just read some comments about to watch the vid
You could always back up everything onto a computer, and leave what you think you need to have on your phone in the mean time while you wait to get another phone.
The US Mobile deal expired on September 30. It's also only available if you start a new line and port in your number. The phone number you port in cannot have been on US Mobile during the past 12 months.
This was very useful and well done. I just wish it was available at launch date or sooner. I just brought mine with the Apple trade-in on my 11 pro. I don’t have a contract, sure, but I will be with Verizon anyway because I don’t jump carriers (old dude here). And I can never understand the trade in deals they offer and am too busy at work to figure it out and I just plain don’t trust them. I find you much easier to trust on this. Anyway, keep up the good work.
I appreciate it, Roger! I’m sorry I didn’t have the video out sooner for you. If you did want to save some money, because you own your phone you are free to switch carriers. You may consider switching to US Mobile. US Mobile uses Verizon towers, so your coverage would be the same. US Mobile’s Unlimited Starter plan is $25/mo, so it may save you some money!
Great video, im still leaning more toward boost infinite being the best for my specific single line situation. Since i dont have to trade in my two year old phone i can sell it and offset some of my expenses.
On the topic of t-mobile and Go5G next, referring back to your t-mobile Go5G plans explained video from 5 months ago would you do an updated one with Go5G next included as well?
See some people don’t have the credit to be able to get a phone from a mega phone carrier or to buy it out right so that boost infinite is really good deal
For someone who just needs one line and don't care about the fastest speeds or greatest customer service, most of the deals just suck. Why would I pay 2-3 times more for a "discount" on a phone when they make that money back and more by locking you down with contract with high monthly service. I am sick of all these deceptive advertising. Sure if you're already on their service or a service paying that amount monthly then it's a "deal".
Great video, The at&t deal also says that the credit doesn't kick in for 3 months so you would be pay regular finance price until it does. I'm thinking about trading in my iPhone 11 and when I fill everything out it on the apple website it says they're giving me $830 but the monthly is $23 a month (should be $10.25). So I clicked details and it says they're only giving $350 for the iPhone 11, even though the iPhone 11 is stated under there $830 deal. Any thoughts?
I’m upgrading to the next plan anyway I wanna be able to trade in every year if I want that option I know I’m getting the 15 this year and the 16 next year for sure because the 16 is going to actually have the most major updates
I dont even use iphone nor do i care about these deals but the polish and the amazing presentation Stetson delivers in each video in immaculate. Thank you so much for every video you post. You are the GOAT

I agree that’s crazy especially since you’ll be locked onto that carrier until you pay it off.
Financing is part of the reason why the prices are this high. Because they can hide what you're really paying.
Some people have no other choice but to finance a phone because phones are getting expensive
Well it's just an option. For those who can't afford one time payment,i personnaly don't like it but it's a good option for some people
T-Mobile isn’t even trying with their latest iPhone deals.
