Sanjay, dont mind the comments of some jerks out here who tease your accent/expressions/or that you said goanese instead of goan. What does it matter? Not everyone can be a master of all languages....after all your native is not english....moreover you are a chef not some literary professor. You rock and your recepies rock! Keep up the great work.

This was delicious!!! Probably not as good as the chef's since I had to improvised due to some missing/improvised ingredients. Instead I used dried coconut flakes, red pepper flakes, yellow mustard seeds, converted whole cloves and cardamon to ground, still came out delicious, thank you for the recipe.

Thank you have fun cooking and once in awhile please do comment it motivates me to do more cooking
I would really appreciate if he adds the ingredients and method of cooking in the description. Makes it easier.
I love your enthusiasm! I am a chef too that has spent time in India. I like using tamerine paste in this dish to bring up that tart tangy fruity flavor and I use jaggery instead of sugar for even more richness. This is a great preparation! Thank you!
dude.. its a huge hit with our party. i am proud that you are from Andhra too.
Hats off Chef .. Though me being a Goan didnt try this but your recipe is a delicacy. Just Yum
fantastic recipe chef Sanjay.
Amazing dish chef.....your dishes make me smile.thanks alot
i tried this recepie now and i would give 6 /10 may be i should eat it with naan chapathi ... or jeera pulav then it would be much better then plain rice .;) anyway u r too good cook....thanks chef
A few observations:
1) there is nothing called Goanese!
2) Goans do not add mustard seeds in the blender. In fact you just add red chillies, tumeric and coconut.
3) Goans do not add pepper powder the shrimp curry
So what?
Já estou com àgua na bôca, é óptimo este prato.
So cute, this person. ❤
Hi Sanjay..this is Brunda I love the way you cook, and I love the way you enjoy eating it.......and I crave to prepare it as fast as i could and enjoy eating as you do......I had never learnt anything from my mom its my dad who thought me how to cook. Chef, Happy New Year from Canada. I have tried many of your recipes with great success!
I have a question. If I want to try this recipe with chicken drumsticks, should I poach the drumsticks first prior to adding them to the gravy? I'm thinking that if I add raw drumsticks, I would end up overcooking the gravy. Thank you.

Sanjay,
In the chilli/vinegar/cumin combination, are you using dried chillies or regular red chilies?
Once again thank you very much for these great videos.
HI Chef.. I really liked your Goan Shrimp curry... I tried this recipe and my hubby liked it very much.. thanku

Thanks chef recipe is 2 good ......
ok.going to make it now..............
thank u chef. I tried the recipe and it turned out well...
@afgdiamondz Im from Goa, and let me tell you. Coconut plays the most important role in this dish. the minute you leave out the coconut, simply makes the dish another Prawns curry or masala..
@lionnelmascarenhas a chef who specializes on dishes made in the state of Goa in India...Goan dishes are mostly Portuguese influenced :D
going to try this tonight thank you for the tip
