Step Two: Unable to unionize-quietly start to look for an exit or another job with equal or greater pay.
Step Three: Seek out a competitor to see if they’re better offers.

A psychologist friend of mine once said that Peterson's understanding of psychology is so poor and outdated that it'd be like if a doctor from the 19th century appeared today and talked about women's vapors interfering with their ovaries. Jordan is not only cooked but poorly educated. Remember, he was found unfit to practice psychology both for ethical concerns and no longer being academically qualified. In his lectures he constantly cited outdated theories and very debunked ideas that haven't been relevant since the 80s, 70s and even 60s. Anyone that took his classes deserves a refund.

That's why you should start by reading the most up to day studies and literature in your field. I read history studies from the 70's and archeology from the 40's before I went to uni. I can tell it helped me none except give me a piece meal of outdated praxis that cluttered around in my brain and just mixed things up. I think it applies to socialist and anarchist theory too. If you can't apply it for today's world, then it's just art or a hobby about reading of a world long gone. It can inspire, but it's not a manual anymore

I'd say that community was irreparably damaged by the American reaction to 9/11, which led to the rise of New Atheism, which served as an intellectual mask for Islamophobia. (I was a fan or Richard Dawkins from his time as evolutionist and science communicator, so it was a letdown to witness him going that way.) Since I was always critical of this trend, it was less of a surprise when so many online atheists joined the "anti-SJW" train. Jordan Peterson's area of expertise is addiction treatment.
He got addicted to benzos, and wanted to treat it by going cold turkey.
The overwhelming majority of his peers feel that this is a very bad way to treat benzo addiction, so much so that Peterson had to travel to Russia to find a doctor willing to treat benzo addiction this way.
That was when he got brain damage. Rebecca Watson had a video about the whole thing.

I studied psychology with an emphasis in evolutionary psychology in college. Jordan Peterson makes the field look like a clown show. Even to this day I seek out evpsych articles on different things to have that deeper understanding of it. I actually think JP is harming the field. When I tell people about it now, I ALWAYS have to be at least somewhat defensive like “it’s not like that” because everyone has this negative perception of it. On the flip side, if someone knows about it through JP and likes the idea of it, they immediately back off when they realize all evpsych does is point to a more socialist/progressive way of society and providing more money to lower SES neighborhoods, and pro choice. But we don’t hear JP talk about that.

Most are gone sadly, I miss them dearly.
I was raised with one younger brother and one older sister, by our single mom after our dad passed when I was a baby.
I was raised by women only most of my life!!
So I only knew how to talk to women!
There were very few men in the family even giving me advice except my grandpa, and it wasn't much, it was mostly grandma..
and I'm a "cis straight male" who only likes girls and gets turned in just by seeing a girl something sexy...

Even sadder is, even with how much of a loser I am, this point in my life is the happiest I've ever been.

What motivated Jordan Peterson to travel to Russia in order to undergo a voluntary, medically-induced coma was his addiction to Benzodiazepines. This was an act of desperation, a last-ditch gamble to spare himself from the agony of Benzodiazepine withdrawal. I know exactly what he feared, because I suffered through that withdrawal experience myself, after taking a minimal, surgeon-prescribed dose of Ativan daily for a year. I tapered down gradually to a fraction of that dose over a period of a month, and then stopped taking it completely. I had daily panic attacks for over a week after that, but I was determined not to give in to my addiction. It took six months for the sporatic panic attacks to cease, and over a year to fully recover. That is what compelled Jordan Peterson to gamble his life on a risky, medically-induced coma.
