Hi Michael. Thanks for tuning in to my channel for some vintage 80's New Wave & Synth-pop classics. I wish the music of this era can be put out again. Even though my collection has grown throughout the years, I'm still discovering music from the early 80's. Sometimes it's like "new" music to me. Stay tuned for my next video!

You are the greatest man! Never fails, always putting me on to gems I've overlooked that I wind up jamming to for weeks as if they were new

I know what you mean, my friend when you say jamming to then for weeks as if they were new. So many discoveries I made throughout the years, and still learning today. There's so much great music out there, and it's challenge & a joy to keep this vibe going; also to share it with the Vinyl Community and UA-cam listeners. Thanks for tuning in to my channel, and your comment is much appreciated. Happy to help you extend your musical taste with my videos. Stay tuned for more to come; the list is constantly growing.

I really enjoy your videos. It’s like looking through my own collection. So often I’m watching and saying, “Got it…got it…got it…oohh, I’ll keep an eye open for that one…got it…got it….got it and love it”.

Thank you so much, Jeff. I really appreciate your comment and love for the vinyl. In the beginning for me watching UA-cam videos on vinyl collector's awesome record collections; especially the genres that I love... I would do the same thing as I watched it. Sometimes I would make a list as a comparison, and then I would make a "Want List" as I learned about the records through the collector. It sounds like you have golden gems within your collection; I know... just so much fun! Stay tuned for the next video; I have a plan to go to a big city and search their records stores. Thanks again, Jeff !!

If you come to San Diego, California some time I'll be happy to give you several suggestions for great records shops. I have started DJing in 2021 all the great 80's jams I have been able to collect. People love it and dance all night. So much fun.

ABC are a great group, we live in Sheffield, the same city they come from. Apparently Martin Fry sometimes still appears in our local record store! Lexicon of Love is their best album for sure. Beauty Stab is a bit of an odd record, they went for a more conventional rock sound for that one. But Zillionaire and their 4th album, Alphabet City, are a real return to form, I like them a lot.
Very jealous of that Kano record, they're one of the best italo disco groups out there.
Anne Clark is very underrated, we have her Joined Up Writing LP, love how she combines her poetry with her electro music. Telex are very underrated too, they get overshadowed by Kraftwerk a lot but they're ahead of their time in their own right. Moscow Diskow is a great song, their LPs are good too.
Great video as always, look forward to the next one. Always love the recommendations in these 😊😊

Hi Jack! Cheers to your great area of Sheffield! Your comments and extensive knowledge on music is always well-appreciated. So cool of Martin Fry to come by your record store for a digging session.
Thanks for your feedback of "Lexicon of Love"; this inspires me to listen to this LP more often. I haven't played it yet, but I'm looking forward to enjoy their 1982 style and quality of sound. I had "Alphabet City" years ago... wish I could of held on to it (it was NM condition). Yeah, finally pulled out the Kano Lp from an unmarked box for a good price. And surprised about the quality of the tracks - exceptionally good (still ahead of their time for 1980).
Anne Clark and Telex are "big" winners!! Can't wait to get "Our Darkness" because the more I listen to this track, the more I appreciate all the talent she possesses plus the engineers and producers that are responsible for this unique sound.
Thanks again, Jack. Your comments always inspire me to post more videos. Cheers!!

How's it going, Johans? Very happy that you found my channel with some New Beat vinyl goodness. I've always been fascinated with this sound; especially in the New Beat - Acid vibe. It all started for me with the album "This is the New Beat" that led me to collecting all the 12" singles that spawned from this historic LP. Don't have all of it's track listings, but most for sure. There's so much more out there that I want to collect; in time I will. Definitely share with everyone in the Vinyl Community. Thanks again for your comment!

“Psycho Killer” is an excellent find. My oldest Talking Heads 12” single is “Life During Wartime.” But, I do want “Psycho Killer.” Someday….

Hello again, my 80’s Retro Friend! Scoring this Talking Heads single was quite a challenge. But my patience really paid off. “Life During Wartime” is actually the next single from this group in my “Want List”. Can’t wait to get it; hopefully the price comes down a little more. When I purchased “Psycho Killer” from Discogs, I was hesitant at first because the vinyl was VG+ and jacket was VG (indicating light stains). But the vinyl was actually a strong VG+ (almost excellent or VG++) & the jacket was much better than described. Got lucky in a sense… barely had an edge warp that didn’t affect the play at all. Got it shipped here in the U.S. but was considering another copy from Canada. Take all these into consideration, and the Best of Luck to You!

I thought I had "Life During Wartime" standard version on a 12" single / EP, but I think it's their Live versions. Do you know anything about their '79 LP entitled "Fear of Music" that has "Life During Wartime" on it? Or did they release another 12" single I'm not aware of? Appreciate your help in this unfamiliar territory for me, my friend.

Go on Discogs and type the following: SIR 4055T. This is an import 12” single that has both the live and studio versions of “Life During Wartime.” I don’t have the album, “Fear of Music.” I’m mainly a 12” single collector.

Hi Trevor! Good to hear from you; hope all is well. Actually, the Cars greatest hits was the big purchase for me @ $32.99. It was worth it. Don’t usually spend that much on one record. The Talking Heads single was only 1/2 the cost (shockingly). Sometimes I get lucky & spread out my Want List for years. I’ll have to take a pause & listen to all these records over time. Thanks for watching!

There is a new New Waver that posts about his new wave collection. Check out Jason Lindsey, he only has two videos but promises much more.

Hey Marc! Yeah, I just subscribed to his channel. And WOW, a ton of New Wave vinyl in his collection. Can’t wait for his future videos!! This is awesome, my friend. Just what the “New Wave Doctor” ordered… a cure for my new wave itch. Thanks again!
