Agreed. It reminds of me COD warzone players that hate on fortnite players. It’s practically the same game with a different skin.. why be so negative about someone liking it lol
@@splifsend thats fair. Congrats man, that is a sick achievement. I would also argue it was much more difficult then? I have heard from friends its easier to get now.
Love this video! Eso is one of my absolute favourite games. Nothing is perfect but the depth and breadth of what it offers is incredible, and you can earn so much of the best stuff without shelling out extra money. So nice to see just a positive video celebrating eveything it gets so right!
I've been playing RPGs since Dragon Warrior on Nintendo... then Chrono Trigger... then Chrono Cross... WOW... LOTR... DDO... and now ESO. ESO is my favorite of all time.
Hell yea Dante!! So glad to have you here. So much content coming soon. My brain is flowing with ideas now that I have met so many positive people in the comments!!
Thanks for this video. I've been playing ESO since beta and I love it. I don't care about paying for the subscription because I hoard crafting mats. Without that crafting bag I wouldn't have became a grand master crafter. Also, doing master writs would be a pain without it as well. Ultimately, I love ESO because I can pace myself. I love that old chapters aren't locked after a new one comes out. I hate rushing through content and I'm happy happy I can take my time. It's like a Neverending RPG. The lore is so good.
I've played off and on since the beginning. I have my criticisms of the game for sure but it's also the game I have returned to over and over for a decade now. If I had to pick an overall favorite game of my lifetime, I think ESO is probably it.
My wife and I are in our 70’s ( that’s not a typo ). We play to keep our minds engaged, puzzles, progress and grandkids getting us through dungeons! We are so looking forward to a holographic VR version! LOL Probably have to wait for Xbox XYS37. Coming soon to a living room near you in 2045!
Eso is great! Great combat and all the crafting/gold economy stuff is great! Zones are great too! If they could find a way to incentivise players into cyrodil and IC for pvp it would be a complete masterpiece of a game and id probably never play anything else! The pvp in this game used to be better imo but it would be great to see it make a comeback! 🙂
Agreed, I've played ESO since release and I still play to this day. One of my favorite things about the game is that you can play the entire game without joining Guilds. Having to be in a Guild to play end game contact is what caused me to quit World of Warcraft years ago.
Appreciate the kind words Roach. Cool channel! I subbed also. Watched your ESO Blackwood video. I need to crank my volume up like that and enjoy the voice lines more. Yours feels a lot more like Skyrim than my game.
Ive played so many mmos, and in my opinion, its easily the most accessible when it comes to content and gear.. you can literally play however you want on any class, doing any content.. it doesnt take a year to get to "end game".. bis gear isnt locked behind a raid you can only do once a week at a 2% drop rate.. how gear, levelling, and alts is handeled is phenomenal.. puts wow into the dirt..
I played for about 10 years for 100s of hours across 2 platforms. Definitely recommend and really enjoyed the game. I finally hung it up as I simply wasn’t enjoying mmo style combat anymore and really missed single player games where my choices during questing matter to my characters.
it's not just eso, name any of your favorite tv shows and people out there making negative content for likes. misery loves company after all. It's really sad, we didn't have this on youtube 10 years ago.
After more than 3000 hours on skyrim and 4 platinum trophy I tryed eso last week and men. This is the best elder scrolls in term of lore and game mechanics we ever had. Of course you don't have the immersion or the physicalise combat and dynamic of the single player game. But it's a very good elder scrolls game. And for a mmo having a non mandatory shop is not a big deal and subscription is not an issue for me due to the massive amount of content you get from an mmo. And it's not p2w like ANY other mmo where you can buy gold for money easily, and buy fast dungeon with this money
Agree. There are times when I just login to do my daily crafting runs and after a time it adds up. The only thing I don't like is you have to be in a guild to sell things but everything else is premium quality. Also, I can start a new char and run through the content in any order with no item or level restrictions. In other words, the game is wide open with no gates to order your play. In this game, unlike the claims so many other games make, you really can play your own way.
I started my journey in ESO not really having high goals. Just got hooked with the character build options. I just started with overland content which was hard for me at first. Then to dungeons and finally trials. I've completed every vet trial now. I never had such high goals. Just enjoyed the journey and never expected it to take me where I am now. Still there is more for me to accomplish. My main reasons for playing ESO is I love the trials and that is pretty much all I focus on. I have a few hard modes and feel I can eventually complete them all.
@@Roarshak Yeah. Just started normal dungeons which were hard for me at first. Then joined my first trial in one of my guilds. The guild was awesome and helps support less experienced players. It was also in my first trial that I found out about logs. I used them to analyse my play and to improve. At the time, I didn't think about doing veteran content. Just a journey of little incremental improvements over time to vet dungeons and then eventually to vet trials.
Love your Video! I find the joy in ESO through Cyrodiil. Ain’t no place I rather be, it’s and absolutely blast to work with War fighting guilds and fight for your alliance. Got EMP about a year ago now, loved every moment of it. Thank you for sharing this.
Well said, I feel the same way about Runescape, which is my MMO of choice. It's my favorite game of all time too, even though there are plenty of other games and plenty of valid criticisms of it. I'll always come back to it though, so many great friends made and memories.
first time i try eso is like few years ago and what hook me up is cyrodiil. you are right, find what you love to do and you'll fall in love with it. for me its the community of AD, EP, and DC in cyrodiil is what makes me love eso. i can run in cyrodiil without subscription after dilligently at least purpled up my gear and my horse speed. if i need to grind for new gear for new toon then i subs again. i didnt care too much about store, and i cant remember what stuff i bought and what stuff i get from bonus. but the "in game hate" towards one faction, the loyalty feelings toward my faction, the sadness when the fort is taken, and how we dance silly when finish repair gates or curse when bombed while repairing, the drama of cyrodiil, that is my core memory of eso.
You said this absolutely perfect. 100% agree. ESO is the best MMO I’ve played. Sometimes it’s sad to see the negative comments but luckily I have so many friends in ESO that I know there are more positives than negative. Thank you for this video. Sharing with my guild.
Lucky for you I discuss it in my next video! I am working on it as we speak. As stated before I don't PvP much so I don't consider it a big part of my journey. Though I do have some suggestions to make it better potentially which I break down in detail in my next video. The video will be broken into timestamps so you can skip all the stuff you don't care to hear opinions on. Appreciate you watching either way.
Great video. Most if not all of the ESO haters have never really played the game. I used to be one of those ESO is stupid even though I never played it types, tried the game in 2018 for a couple hours and was lost and confused and mad I couldn't access all those dyes, but gave it another shot in 2021. Three days later I subscribed to Plus for the craft bag, and I'm here now 8k-9k hours later lol. I never though I'd be join a guild, do vet hm dungeons and trials, pvp, make friends, etc. There's so many things that make it more appealing than other MMOs. Account wide transmogs, level shared across all champion point characters, housing, open world pvp, crafted gear that can still be very good, gear is not 5% drop rate from a once a week raid, you don't need to physically walk to a raid, gear isn't completeley obsolete every patch, etc. There's so many things to do in this game and I haven't even finished my alliance's final zone story. 2.5 years and still been playing every day. Might be another 5 years before I get Grand Overlord though lol.
About half way through the quest line you have to go to the new moon priest's stronghold and confront the dragon, after which you run out the tunnel and meet Caska at the end, unfortunately there is an invisible barrier blocking the tunnel and you are unable to reach Caska. I've tried several things to fix it but am unable to on Xbox.
HI! I'm shmity72. A guild master since launch and machinima fan director of ESO I found it hart warming when you mentioned guild wars 1 as that is how i met my wife 18 years ago. give me a buzz! ...good video!
Wow that's incredible! Is that your PC account name? I would love to chat with you and talk about your Guild Wars 1 journey. That game has a special place in my heart and I have a video around the horizon about it. Such a pleasure to have an ESO employee commenting here. How cool!!!
i do have to say, that you're backstory on this game is one of the most relatable, i also started this game, not as a teenager but as a kid, just loved elder scrolls games and the idea of an online game set on this universe, also started shy, with no guilds, also stuck in the white gold tower, wanting to be emperor and honestly not really understanding what i was doing with the skills at the time and not achieving much, now that i returned to this game, now in college and experienced with other MMO games i came back to see if this time is different, i'd like to play with you sometime, i felt related to this story and loved to play with someone who understands and maybe can help throught the game
I love ESO but I didn't like it so much at first. I found fun in the vast variety of character customizations, enjoying the beautiful locations, trying to figure out combos, and hunting for resources. One day, I hope to break out of my comfort zone and try to join a guild.
2:04 I prefer to solo, and explore or read things, and listen to dialogue... However, I join guilds for an often overlooked reason: free fast travel to any guild member by pulling up the roster, right-clicking on a member, and selecting "travel to member..."
I have been playing eso for a 8 months and I can’t stop playing. I started playing because of Skyrim. I play by my self and little by little I am trying to branch out to be more social.❤😊
I love ESO! I do housing, trials, or farming nodes, it's become my #1 favorite game as well. Like you, I started playing Morrowind on Xbox way back when, and later on found ESO. I'm an officer in a housing guild, and help run a few social guilds, and just got selling in the traders in the last year. I was so thrilled when my main toon earned GMC ( that really was work and I am glad I did it!) Like that night I finally got my Pillar of Nirn Dagger after running Falkreath Hold for a while. There's always a new goal to set, and I dig that. There really is nothing else like it out there. My guildmates are some of the nicest and helpful people I have ever met online. and I couln't agree with you more with the sentiment of this video, I play mostly on PS NA, but I do have accounts on PC NA and PS EU. Thank you for making this, It's really cool to hear aother positive voice for ESO on this platform! Best to you! GG!
I just started ESO recently after trying to give it a few shots over the years, and this time it has completely sucked me in, I've grinded from lvl 18 to Champion Level 412 in the last couple days, im actually here right now watching your video and commenting because of the god forsaken maintenance lmao
THIS! This is why i will always love ESO. I just started playing it a few months ago, but i managed to find a small consistent group to play with. I’ll never forget the first time we played the Lair of Maarselok. I hate that dungeon as a random pug because it’s too long. But, the first time we fought against that lizard with Selene and trying to get the Azureblight hoarvers and stranglers outta the way, the dragon’s shout sent all of us flying. When i figured out the mech, i started blocking. But when all of my group mates kept getting flinged away by the shout, i just started laughing. 😂 every freaking time the shout happens, they all get blown back like flying potatoes. 😂 i wasnt mad, i was just bewildered. Good times lol.
I was a warcraft head for a looong-long time. I was so dedicated to the whole Warcraft universe that I refused to play any other MMO. Sure I tried a few but i never stayed. Around 2017 I felt like Warcraft turned around, and changed so much ( lore, story and even gameplay wise) that I stopped playing. I was searching for an MMO to replace WoW, tried out a few, once again, none of them stick with me. Soon after these tries one of my classmate mentioned ESO, so I gave it a go. I was hooked. I did return to wow from time to time after that, old habits die hard and all that, but I stopped doing that after a while. ESO is my main game now, and I'm happy with it.
I played on Xbox from launch every day through the first 5 years. Took almost 5 year break due to traveling for work. This video made me decided to redownload and catch up on the past 5 years of content I’ve missed. Great work on this video man.
Wow thats awesome!! This video took me 78 hours to concept, write, record, edit and review. Over 650 clips were used. I appreciate everyone who watches and gains value.
Hiya, quick question, any tips on getting the Mazzatun style light armor pages? I've been trying to get into vet runs of Mazzatun for like two weeks now, and I just never get grouped for it.
I have always spent my time crafting for gold and just purchasing the pages from guild traders. I don't ever farm them. Mazzatun isn't that expensive now. Check out Guild Traders and see what you find! Let me know if you need tips on making easy gold. Plenty of ways, just take time and effort. :)
@Roarshak Thank you! And yeah, I have been having issues with making gold, if you could please provide some tips?🥳 especially because from what I've seen, it's about a million gold just for the chest piece😅
@@MichaelTurner-ov4lh buy the autumns gate home for 60k gold, sell the fireplace. Its worth 400k. Do the same with Kragenhome, sell the bed of coals in the middle for 300k. There are many homes you can buy and flip the fireplaces for gold. Go to crown store, preview home, once inside press F5, youll see the gold price. Walk around the houses and loom for fireplaces to sell. The charred ones are like 300-400k and the flaming ones are 600-700k. @Kalam0n made a great video on this recently. Fish sell for 900g each. Farm nodes and sell materials. Farm in craglorn for chances at potent nirncrux, they sell for 100k. If you can craft I have tons of recommendations. Turn your tel var from logins into Hakeijo and sell them for 90k. Turn alliance points into Rallying cry boxes for a chance at a 7 mill ice staff. Try those!
You are my favorite ESO account to follow! My fav apart about the game is the diversity. One day I’m feeling ToT and the next raiding dungeons or completing missions. It’s a fun way to be creative with outfits, crafting, housing deco etc. Thanks for providing content! It has helped me so much in the game. ❤😊 You said what makes this game so great? The people! Clearly some of the commenters need some ESO in their life…might make them nicer in comments 😂😅
I've been playing ESO for a bit over 3 years now and it's my favorite game. I don't enjoy every part of it (mostly just IA and lag in Cyrodiil) but I love it. Even the grind for gear etc. I've been in one guild since the beginning of my ESO journey and the community is amazing. I love sharing my little DPS numbers and my little character stories and outfits. I've now started doing vet trials with this guild plus two more. I went from only dreaming of doing vet trials to doing them multiple times a week... they're now the things I look forward to most each week.
We need more of these. The level of negativity people pull against this game, and yet they come back everytime - it has become almost hillarious at this point. It is a growing world, things change. People can't handle change well, and prefer to live blinded in the past of "the good days". Great points indeed, and happy someone spoke them out.
Definitely one of my favorite games. I'm still fairly new a few years though really only started getting it this past year. I enjoy the freedom of this game you can pretty much do anything or even nothing if you want the choice is yours
Great post mate. I am an old man who has been playing computer games since 'PONG'. This is also my favorite. This is not just a game, it is a pile of games. The breadth of this game surprises me all the time. There are many things for everyone, not just something for everyone. A phrase i heard once went something like this: Only boring people get bored. So... in that spirit this game is effectively endless in scope. And like you pointed out, the people are the magic sauce. Happy hunting.
I was in High School when PONG came out and still remember the first time I played it at a seaside amusement park. I have never stopped playing video games either and will do so until I take my last breath. ESO is not the only game I play but it's my "comfort food" and I play every day.
Maybe you can help me. I do enjoy this game but what really turned me off to it was my first dungeon run. I think I queued as a tank and when I dropped into the dungeon there was one player that just was speed running the dungeon solo killing everything never giving anyone a chance to do anything and I said to myself “oh it’s going to be one of those games”. After that I haven’t had much motivation to play when what’s the point when I’m not given a chance to just casually enjoy a simple dungeon run.
My best advice is start a group to run with or join a guild. You can also just let them know in the beginning you are new and would appreciate a slower pace. Unfortunately ppl suck and are always in a rush. Just need to find your people. If you are on PC NA I am happy to run some with you.
@@Roarshak Def, I do play PC/NA The game just feels so overwhelming at times not even sure where to start or to go. Would appreciate any help I can get.
This happens a lot of the times bc older players who already completed the dungeons do it for free transmogs for their gear. They’re trying to do 10 dungeons as quickly as possible. My best advice would be to use the group chat and try to communicate with them that this is your first dungeon /time. Or to wait for you to finish the quest, etc. most of the time the community is chill and understanding, but you will meet a bad apple every now and then like with any mmo
Not everyday you see a video like this! It was refreshing to hear some of your takes on this. Been playing this game sinctit released on console years ago and haven't stopped since. Even renewed my love of the game ince me and my wife started little passion video giides on how to get some of the mythic items. Though i will say they are not for everyone as we do them in a very unique way, me and her create so many memories in and out of game doing this. I love collecting the emotes and personalities thr most as they aid in our projects. Definitely earned my sub and look forward to future videos 😄🍻
@@Roarshak Anytime I too get a little wore down when all I hear is people dragging the game all the time. I mean it's ok to be critical of the game and talk about the stuff you don't like and hope they improve but there is a limit to how much one can hear before it starts to kills the joy of just enjoying a game because you enjoy it. I mean look at Helldivers 2. People are having a blast and now others are chmeing in with we got to set up meta teams, or be silly on your own time. I digress 😂 If you do want to see them they are under Kaisers game bunker here in YT. They are just silly misadventures but we focus on having fun with them. And try to let everyone know about the time stamps that mark the important parts.
Thank you for making a video about how much you like ESO. I get tired of people posting about how they hate ESO and yet are still playing it. Never made sense to me.
My MMO experience starting out was very similar to yours, just with EQ1 in 2000. :) My #1 favorite aspect of ESO is how the content difficulty is very much graded and separated for different types and skill levels of players. From the super casual core open world part, then in several easily categorized stages, all the way up to Elite Raiding. ESO makes it so anyone can jump in fresh and new without having to worry about not being able to do a significant amount of content or immediately needing Best-In-Slot gear just to play the game. Subscription is recommended (but not mandatory) and the Cash Shop is 100% optional. A 10/10 MMO and the best one available today, in my opinion.
I love that you made this video coming from someone who is coming to ESO from WoW, I meet a bunch of friends who been amazing. Helping me in so many with how the trader works builds mechanics in dungeons even doing my first trial was amazing. That is was made ESO amazing for me the community yes there is some bad eggs but overall this game has had giving me a lot of good memories in the short time I been here. In the 10 years of WoW I have never got that i going to playing ESO for a long time
I had that same computer as a kid 😂 Elder scrolls is the only game I’ve ever played with such a helpful and fun community. It’s the reason I bought the game for a second time and I do not regret it one bit because I’ve found an amazing group of genuine friends and I wouldn’t trade that for anything. ❤
I have a lot of complaints about eso - and it's still one of my favorite games. I think it's our nature to want to see the people and things we love thrive, and we experience frustration when they do not realize their potential. As a pvp player there is a lot of disappointments from decisions made by ZoS... but at the end of the day the game is still fun.
Man idk why this video hadn't popped up on my feed until now! The production quality is top notch and it is refreshing to hear a positive and level-headed message about the game. Good shit! 👌
@@Roarshak Ayy thank you! I just found your channel and I really enjoyed watching the two video essays you've made (this one and the follow-up "What can ESO do better?" video). They're very well done! :)
Sorry for not seeing this video 5 months ago but thank you so much. It's hard to weed through these content creators to find someone who likes the game.
Video made me tear up a bit dude. I agree with you %100 (although I'm still trying to get into Tribute lol). Thanks for putting into words and sharing why so many of us love this game❤
Your journey sounds like mine, First played GW1 when it first came out, buddy got a beta key and a key to spend to a friend, never played a mmo ever in my life. Coming from a top 1 clan in quake2 ctf on OGL thought I would change things up. boy was that the start of a journey I never looked back on. Played GW1 for years then stepped into WoW Tons of memories and raids. Bought ESO in 2017 maybe, anyways on steam during a winter sale, played it for maybe 2 hours no idea where to go no help no friends playing it so gave it up and back to WoW i went. Years later my buddies are like lets go play ESO, so here i am, just started playing 3 weeks ago and must say why didnt I stick this game out before. So much fun and the dungs are amazing. Haven't done and trials yet but looking forward to the day I get a chance too. anyways long ass comment but want to say great vid and couldnt agree more with you! cheers
This is a great take! although im not experienced in many MMOs, when one truly interests you, you always find your way back to playing it. always been a great game to solo or play with friends and the customization from outfits to houses have always been very unique from other MMOs. Started on console, and decided to continue that journey on pc!
@@timswonger5738 im on everyday Tim! Always have to do at least the writs everyday, and im currently trying to complete the map! Personal goal i made for myself that i wasnt able to finish on console.
I'm gonna hop back into ESO and give it a 2nd try! Only made it to about 35 but I'm looking forward to having fun with healing ! Thank you for the video and motivation
Great video and valid points. The gameplay, achievements, collections and especially the community have kept me invested in ESO for many, many years and I hope it will continue for many more 🙂
@@Roarshak Lots of things. My biggest goal at the moment is completing my 5. trial trifecta as tank (Sunspire). But I also enjoy playing other roles in PvE. And PvP from time to time is also quite nice. I'm also currently working on furnishing a house. But nothing beats hanging out with a couple of friends and talk nonsense while completing Master Angler or farming for some mythic or style. 😁 I only play ToT when I feel like it, but then I play it a lot.
Thank you for this! I love ESO too, and it can be soul crushing to constantly hear content creators bash the game. While I get that there are issues, I also know that it's the only game I know where I can log in and just run around picking flowers for 4 hours and feel refreshed when I log off. For such an old game the graphics are amazing, and the questing is still among the best. Maybe it's no Baldur's Gate 3, but it's *so* much more!
Awesome video! I cycle through ESO, WoW, and Runescape on a regular basis. I love each one for different reasons, but I always look at ESO as the most polished MMO out there. Narratively, I think the established TES lore has allowed ESO to be deployed in a really soothing and organic way - it's a world we already (mostly) know the rules of and we're exploring it bit-by-bit. It feels like coming home in a way. Mechanically, it might be my favorite MMO too. I only started ESO a couple years ago, but the systems have been evergreen for me and stay engaging. You touched on the combat builds which are virtually limitless, the guild system, and player housing which are all fantastic and complex in ways I haven't seen in other MMOs. My favorite is probably just the crafting system in general. I love hunting down pages for crafting motifs through exploration or questing lol. Oh, and everyone's character is hot.
One thing that this video did not touch on was how amazing PvP was in ESO. As someone who has mostly played PvE, I can say that nothing compares to the immersion and how interactive Cyrodiil PvP was back then. I liked how epic the battles were. I liked how people had loyalty to their alliances then (especially before when even when grouping for dungeons and trials were alliance locked). I liked that there were spies from alliances back then. And I like the randomness of the situation and circumstances were back then. I just miss that, you know. I recently logged in ESO and tried to do that PvP event thing, and it's just sad to see and know how different this game has become (PvP and PvE). But my goodness, I will always remember Azura's Star. :)
I did not play then but I have heard stories of how great it used to be. The PvP community saved this game because no one liked the PvE when it launched I guess. Thank you for watching.
I have friends who play at all spend limits. Though I personally have the membership yearly, buy expansions and will buy the big crown pack when its on sale during xmas as a gift to myself. Or ill use gold and have someone buy me what I want.
i played ESO the day it came out on xbox put about 1000 hours in and it was great but after about 1 year after it was released they changed everything with the leveling and skills and it reset my points and i didn't remember how i set up all my characters before. then i fixed them after about a week then realized nothing was working the way it was before because they changed damage and a lot of other things. so my builds wouldn't work anymore so i had to scrap the characters and restart after that i haven't been back. skipping to now i have been thinking about giving it a go again but being so far behind after 10 years is a big turn off.
Aww man I bet that was stressful. The game has changed but you are not behind. Unlike other MMOs, ESO doesn't negate past content. It's still there to enjoy, collect and progress through. I have many new friends who just started and they are already having a blast. If you need help getting caught up let us know and you can join our guild. We will get you right in no time! We would love to see you in Tamriel again.
I was in the same position. Last year I got back to the game after some 7 years out. And I love the game so much now. Easily the best comunity in-game that i ever saw. Maybe the Ragnarok Online comunity gets close to this, but the older content its still been made and are usefull. Me for exemple, I'm doing all maps quests and having a lot of fun following the storyline thats links all them together. Made some new friends and already got in some end-game contents. It's a great and alive universe for a 10 year old MMO.
I've been playing TESO for 10 years by myself and I love it. TESO as a solo player can be as fun and full of content as if you played with a party or a guild. Truly the best MMO out there in my opinion.
You have a point in that what me quit ESO was not the game itself, I do get the occasional urge to play ESO again, but that urge dies down the moment I'm reminded of why I left in the first place: friggin' Zethesda...
I love this story I feel the same way. My goal is to finish everything in the game except Godslyayer I don't want to spend the money or go through the headache. Lol But I'm nine years eso and I am in love with this game and I will be with it when they shut it down. ❤
I left eso 6 yrs ago. I came back, restarted from fresh after not getting the same level of content in New games, which appear to be soulless in comparison. Eso has a lot of good people, but those players need to be heard. Thats the issue in eso for me.
@@eachandeverything6460 I 100% agree. ESO plus is a must, that crafting bag and DLC is too good. I am thinking of making a part 2 actually breaking down line items with positive suggested changes. I really wanted this video to focus more one whats important in MMOs and thats building your character in-game and in real life. Thank you so much for watching.
I've played ESO a few times and i really liked it! All of my friends play shooters tho and i can never get them to try anything new so it sucks not having people to play with.
Id love to get into MMOs if i didnt need to spend so much money. Ive played a lot of ESO before but i hated having to spend money every month for the plus membership so it really turned me off from playing it. Its definitely my favorite MMO though, just really annoying to play
I totally understand that. You can play even without the membership but I do know it's limited. They are giving Wrothgar DLC away for free right now so if you login you can snag that on day 2!
I started elder scrolls since the second one came out and played every one my most favorite out of them all is eso I been playing it nonstop spice 2017 everyday
Need more videos like these. I absolutely love this game, I do think the devs casino tactics make this game hard to recommend to people but it's refreshing to see someone talking about the stuff they love in a game rather than just harping on the negative.
Appreciate this. Going to break this down into a part two detailing what I like, why, and how I do it in game with examples. Want to show people there are plenty of things to do that are fun if you stop caring about crown crates.
Nice video, loved your perspective even though I still think ZOS is an unqualified company. But yeah as an endgame player and raider i would love to have a better in game reward system plus a stable server ngl. The thing about subscription is if you can't pay a few dollars a month and complain about it you should really question your real life, i never understood that really.
I've always found it interesting how hostile MMO fans are towards anyone who likes a different one than they do.
Yea, I knew I would upset people with this one. Seems they missed the point of the video entirely.
You aren't allowed to enjoy things these days.
Need more cup half full people!
Agreed. It reminds of me COD warzone players that hate on fortnite players. It’s practically the same game with a different skin.. why be so negative about someone liking it lol
@@timswonger5738 truth!

Did you do it? Thats something I have yet to try for. I know its tough!!
@@Roarshak yeah I got it, but I completed just about everything else in game whilst trying.
There was nothing left for me to do afterwards.

Emperor is tough because you have to have a great group to help you get it! I want emp so bad lol
Love this video! Eso is one of my absolute favourite games. Nothing is perfect but the depth and breadth of what it offers is incredible, and you can earn so much of the best stuff without shelling out extra money. So nice to see just a positive video celebrating eveything it gets so right!
Couldn't agree more!
Hey Dante bro. Didn't know you played too.
100%!! Crafting bag OP!
I've played off and on since the beginning. I have my criticisms of the game for sure but it's also the game I have returned to over and over for a decade now. If I had to pick an overall favorite game of my lifetime, I think ESO is probably it.
Thats awesome!!
Lovely video 🙂. I love seeing ESO getting some love for a change. It's such a fantastic game
Thank you for the kind words! ❤
love doesn't bring in the $$$ like hatetuber clicks
My wife and I are in our 70’s ( that’s not a typo ). We play to keep our minds engaged, puzzles, progress and grandkids getting us through dungeons! We are so looking forward to a holographic VR version! LOL Probably have to wait for Xbox XYS37. Coming soon to a living room near you in 2045!
Well this is AWESOME! Never too old for adventure my friend. Thank you for watching!
The real ESO is the friends we've made along the way
Great video man!
Couldn't agree more!
15 hours in. Zero friends made. a dozen lobbies of people talking about their pee pees hurting though.
Agreed, I've played ESO since release and I still play to this day. One of my favorite things about the game is that you can play the entire game without joining Guilds. Having to be in a Guild to play end game contact is what caused me to quit World of Warcraft years ago.
Yea I feel that! I am in many guilds for the traders but don't socialize much. Its a great solo player game!
Now this is content 💯 I am so sick of negativity and clickbait ty for making this I give u respect for now. I hate 🗑️🚮 content creators that complain
100%. I have 7 builds alone on my Templar. In one click I can fill a new role and help out in a completely different way.
It's awesome!
I played for about 10 years for 100s of hours across 2 platforms. Definitely recommend and really enjoyed the game. I finally hung it up as I simply wasn’t enjoying mmo style combat anymore and really missed single player games where my choices during questing matter to my characters.
I understand! Thank you for the kind comment and watching my video.
Great video .... especially given the proclivity of people to just make negative content.
I know the game isn't perfect but all I ever see is negativity.
Just wanted to share my positive experience. Seems that upsets many people.
it's not just eso, name any of your favorite tv shows and people out there making negative content for likes. misery loves company after all. It's really sad, we didn't have this on youtube 10 years ago.
@@provisionalhypothesis Very, Very true.
So awesome to hear! Welcome to ESO. Sounds like you are already enjoying it. 😊
I agree the combat on eso is so free flowing and fun!
biggest hate on eso comes from people who compare tes games to eso and not mmos to eso
This is very true! Totally different games.
It really is the best if you want freedom! Thanks for the kind comment.
Thats awesome. Those are tough!!
That's awesome. Vet challeneges are great!
Love your Video! I find the joy in ESO through Cyrodiil. Ain’t no place I rather be, it’s and absolutely blast to work with War fighting guilds and fight for your alliance. Got EMP about a year ago now, loved every moment of it. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you for your kind comments. Appreciate your support! More videos on the way.
Well said, I feel the same way about Runescape, which is my MMO of choice. It's my favorite game of all time too, even though there are plenty of other games and plenty of valid criticisms of it. I'll always come back to it though, so many great friends made and memories.
That is a great one! Never played much myself.
first time i try eso is like few years ago and what hook me up is cyrodiil. you are right, find what you love to do and you'll fall in love with it. for me its the community of AD, EP, and DC in cyrodiil is what makes me love eso. i can run in cyrodiil without subscription after dilligently at least purpled up my gear and my horse speed. if i need to grind for new gear for new toon then i subs again. i didnt care too much about store, and i cant remember what stuff i bought and what stuff i get from bonus. but the "in game hate" towards one faction, the loyalty feelings toward my faction, the sadness when the fort is taken, and how we dance silly when finish repair gates or curse when bombed while repairing, the drama of cyrodiil, that is my core memory of eso.
Thats awesome! Thank you for sharing your experience.
You said this absolutely perfect. 100% agree. ESO is the best MMO I’ve played. Sometimes it’s sad to see the negative comments but luckily I have so many friends in ESO that I know there are more positives than negative. Thank you for this video. Sharing with my guild.
Ahhh appreciate that big time. Your kind words are very motivating.

Lucky for you I discuss it in my next video! I am working on it as we speak.

That's so awesome! I'm glad you gave it another shot. It truly is such a diverse experience once you open up to it.
one video was funny because they were complaining you only got 5 abilities so yeah, most of the hate videos people don't even reach level 16 lmao

I play ESO every day on 4 servers, you shouldn't feel ashamed for enjoying it. I just wish they'd fix the darn main quest in southern Elsweyr.
Whats wrong with it?
About half way through the quest line you have to go to the new moon priest's stronghold and confront the dragon, after which you run out the tunnel and meet Caska at the end, unfortunately there is an invisible barrier blocking the tunnel and you are unable to reach Caska. I've tried several things to fix it but am unable to on Xbox.

i do have to say, that you're backstory on this game is one of the most relatable, i also started this game, not as a teenager but as a kid, just loved elder scrolls games and the idea of an online game set on this universe, also started shy, with no guilds, also stuck in the white gold tower, wanting to be emperor and honestly not really understanding what i was doing with the skills at the time and not achieving much, now that i returned to this game, now in college and experienced with other MMO games i came back to see if this time is different, i'd like to play with you sometime, i felt related to this story and loved to play with someone who understands and maybe can help throught the game
Happy to do so! Hit me up in game. @roarshakYT
I love ESO but I didn't like it so much at first. I found fun in the vast variety of character customizations, enjoying the beautiful locations, trying to figure out combos, and hunting for resources. One day, I hope to break out of my comfort zone and try to join a guild.

The things you mentioned are all in other MMOs as well though. I would have mentioned stuff like lore and getting to explore all of Tamriel.
Well that's you. Not me.
Great memory! :)
Thats awesome. Glad to have you here!

Farm nodes and sell materials. Farm in craglorn for chances at potent nirncrux, they sell for 100k.

We need more of these. The level of negativity people pull against this game, and yet they come back everytime - it has become almost hillarious at this point. It is a growing world, things change. People can't handle change well, and prefer to live blinded in the past of "the good days". Great points indeed, and happy someone spoke them out.

Thanks for you kind comment! Game on!
Send me a message in game @roarshakYT
This happens a lot of the times bc older players who already completed the dungeons do it for free transmogs for their gear. They’re trying to do 10 dungeons as quickly as possible. My best advice would be to use the group chat and try to communicate with them that this is your first dungeon /time. Or to wait for you to finish the quest, etc. most of the time the community is chill and understanding, but you will meet a bad apple every now and then like with any mmo

Excellent video. I also started in 2016 and have been hooked since. Best mmo out there.

100% agree! Appreciate you watching big time!

This is a great take! although im not experienced in many MMOs, when one truly interests you, you always find your way back to playing it. always been a great game to solo or play with friends and the customization from outfits to houses have always been very unique from other MMOs. Started on console, and decided to continue that journey on pc!
We are glad to have you!
Let’s go pizzle! When you getting online?
I started on console too lol. It’s definitely better on pc
I do love it on PC!@@tropiquatic
@@timswonger5738 im on everyday Tim! Always have to do at least the writs everyday, and im currently trying to complete the map! Personal goal i made for myself that i wasnt able to finish on console.
I'm gonna hop back into ESO and give it a 2nd try! Only made it to about 35 but I'm looking forward to having fun with healing ! Thank you for the video and motivation
Thats awesome to hear! Healing is too fun. What platform are you on!?
Great video and valid points. The gameplay, achievements, collections and especially the community have kept me invested in ESO for many, many years and I hope it will continue for many more 🙂
I appreciate that very much! What do you play?
@@Roarshak Lots of things. My biggest goal at the moment is completing my 5. trial trifecta as tank (Sunspire). But I also enjoy playing other roles in PvE. And PvP from time to time is also quite nice. I'm also currently working on furnishing a house. But nothing beats hanging out with a couple of friends and talk nonsense while completing Master Angler or farming for some mythic or style. 😁 I only play ToT when I feel like it, but then I play it a lot.
Thats awesome! Good luck on your achievements. @@SirMaxelot
Thank you for the kind words. It is what you make of it!
Oh yea I love me some motifs! My crafting video will cover all of that.
Greatly appreciate you being here and giving my video the time.
Dude I started playing eso a month ago and I cant put it down its such a fun game with alot to offer btw I play on pc
Hell yea man thats awesome! Welcome! If you need a guild feel free to message me in game.
Well said…definitely correlates with my experiences with this game
Appreciate the support!!
How much did you spend to have that fun? 🤔
@@pedrocarvalho5818 yes it is! So glad you gabe it another chance.
If you ever see me in game, say hi!
im ganna give it another chance just downloaded the game on my pc i guess ill just treat it as a new game. @@Roarshak
@@Phobia_Gaming12 awesome! If you have any questions let me know!
I've been playing TESO for 10 years by myself and I love it.
TESO as a solo player can be as fun and full of content as if you played with a party or a guild. Truly the best MMO out there in my opinion.
Dang thats a long time! I love it too mate.
I love ESO too
Thats awesome!! Glad to hear :D
Currently deep diving your channel bc it’s the only good eso content i’ve seen in a long time. Thank you!!
Wow that means a lot!!!
You have a point in that what me quit ESO was not the game itself, I do get the occasional urge to play ESO again, but that urge dies down the moment I'm reminded of why I left in the first place: friggin' Zethesda...
u got a great perspective on this game and made me realize why I need to let go of the bitterness I had over small inconveinces.
I appreciate that. The game is not prefect but there is still so much to enjoy!
I love this story I feel the same way. My goal is to finish everything in the game except Godslyayer I don't want to spend the money or go through the headache. Lol
But I'm nine years eso and I am in love with this game and I will be with it when they shut it down. ❤
Thats so awesome Karen! Thank you for watching. :D
This was a great vdeo, i'm just coming back to eso after playing from beta till about 2017 and I'm falling in love with the game all over again
I really appreciate that!!
Liked and subbed. I like your style, bud
Thank you so much man. This is all so crazy to me!!!
Awesome reminder! Thank you!
You are welcome!
I left eso 6 yrs ago. I came back, restarted from fresh after not getting the same level of content in New games, which appear to be soulless in comparison. Eso has a lot of good people, but those players need to be heard. Thats the issue in eso for me.
You do need eso plus though. 100% or the vanilla won't scratch that itch like dlc
I totally get that. Welcome to join us on PC NA!!
I would be more than happy to teach what I know about the game if you ever do try it out!!
Woooo! Templars for the win! Great vid! Its nice to see a vid of someone enjoying ESO also. Cheers Mate! Now to journey for that bucket!! =)
Haha yes indeed! Thank you for the kind words.
I feel like the Ebony warrior from skyrim since my goal was to get flawless conqueror & spirit slayer.
I farmed the shit out of infinite archives too.
Thats awesome! I love the ebony style!
I started elder scrolls since the second one came out and played every one my most favorite out of them all is eso I been playing it nonstop spice 2017 everyday
Hell yea that is awesome!
ESO for sure has the best combat system out there!
Couldn't agree more!!
True! If $15/mo is a lot maybe video games shouldn't be the priority.
