@@SlowRoamers thanks guys every time we see you guys my family get a big smile on there face see you guys having fun and see how you guys are happy and exploring we welcome you guys to our lil home any time
I am not mechanically inclined… But if I am given a reliable transport that I can live in, I would call those roads my home, at least for the time of the year when one can drive them. I probably will never see them in my life, those mountains. I am very lucky to see them through your filming.
Usually when vans are swinging up and down something else is happening ;-). ... Just kidding. Great video as always. My list of travel destinations and the desire to explore is growing every time I watch your videos. In 2 weeks I will get my new rig and then I will be back on the road. Pan American has to wait a couple of years, but Alaska and Canada will see me much earlier. Thanks as always for sharing your adventures.
Dawson City is a cool town. Sour Toe Cocktail at the Downtown Hotel! Midnight Dome is not remote like you two like it, but the view of the waters of the Klondike mixing with the Yukon is something you just don't see everyday. 17.2+K subs! An easy 20K by the middle of October. Probably more as others discover your WAY above average content.
Haha, thanks man! I’d be stoked on 20k by mid October. Maybe with our next video.😉 Done the sour toe cocktail back in 2017, Meg wasn’t into it though. I liked the view from the dome. The last spot on the mtn ridge wasn’t too far from there. Dawson is indeed a cool spot, maybe next we go there it’ll be a little earlier in the season though. 🤷🏼♂️
By chance when I was there, it was Dawson City Days. The parade was pretty cool. I had never seen one where there were entries with chainsaws zip tied to truck mirrors. Gorgeous flowers and huge vegetables on display. People came from a long ways around. It was a real treat.
Betty wasn’t built for Baja racing over those 3’ moguls 😂 And chicken Cesar salad wrap Yum Yum and dessert I need a nap I could over stay in those two locations for a whole season just Beautiful
Hahaha, no she was not. Thems roads are ROUGH! I just realized we made a funny, we left Chicken and then had Chicken caesar wraps…where’d we get the chicken I wonder?🤔
There is nothing I enjoy more then a channel like yours. Full of adventure and well captured views. I only hope to get out and "Roam" myself someday. Hoping to venture up to Canada next spring or summer. Thanks for sharing!!🤠😁
Hey Bill! It’s awesome you’re stoked on our channel, we love it. We’re so excited to share our travels through Mexico and beyond with you. Thanks for watching!🙌🏻
It's nice and quiet now. Was wicked when Princess/Holland used to bus all their tourists across. Once you passed those and the RVs, you didn't even want to stop and pee. That's some really nice footage around Walker Fork and Jack Wade.
Can you go back to the steam wheeler when you got off the ferry. That looked so cool. Your video journey makes me feel like I can do that. Ask you to just take me there. Your words are so carefully chosen and so fun. The clouds in this video had unbelievable color. When I become a famous artist, I will paint them. Well done Megan on the food choices. I always get ideas for supper. You both fill my heart with joy and wonder. Thank you
We only heard about it afterwards. However we were kind of eager to get to the Dempster so we hurried along the top of the world. We’ll be back. Thanks for watching!
I probably sat at that Alaska sign over 100 hours when I drove pilot truck for Holland America. I had to wait for the buses there. I am heading to Michigan in my van on Sunday or Monday and feel so tempted to go that way. Time crunch will probably prevent it though. It is truly an epic route!
I’ve often thought about what it would be like to drive truck through a lot of these routes or to work in heavy industry up north. Wouldn’t be so bad i imagine. Save travels to Michigan!
Nah, I think we arrived too early in the day for that and we weren’t willing to sit around and wait. We were kind of eager to get back to Canada at that point. Thanks for watching guys, stoked to share a beer with you both again.😊
Great vid. I have driven that road many times as a kid and driven hundreds of miles of backroads around the north Klondike hwy. Rugged but beautiful. Lots of old mining and exploration areas and a ton of history.
We really look forward to exploring more of the area one day. I’ve seen so many of those mine roads and want to drive all of them! Thanks for watching Ben!
Wow, this video are absolutly stunning! The Top of the World Highway looks like a road trip dream come true, especialy with all those views from the mountin ridge. I love how you guys make van life look so much fun, and Meg’s van life fare always looks delicius! Can’t wait to see more of your adventures as you continue north and cross back into Canada. Thanks for sharing this, it's super inspiring and I definetly need to add this route to my bucket list. Keep up the great work!
So glad you’re enjoying the videos! The top of the world highway is definitely a special one. I think you’ll love next weekends video. Thanks for watching, see you next weekend!😊
Look forward to your videos every week. Next week sounds amazing. Thanks for bring me along on your journey, I've even got my wife watching now. We hope to get up there in our van and drive some of the same roads next summer. Also, thanks for the recommendation of going to High Top vans, they did my high top and electrical system - great work.
Fantastic! So glad you got a top from Micah & Lindsay! Also, great to know you got the wife watching.😁 Thanks for following along, we both really appreciate it.
A bit of advice to help smooth out those gravel washboardy roads without all that "airing up and down"! From a 78 year old "Road Warrior", retired 38 years, wandering The North American Continent in just about every kind of rig for 48 years............AIR BAGS! Try 'em! You"ll wonder......."Why the heck did I not see this for myself?" You will LOVE IT? Smoother sailimg!
Another great video..amazing views with great cooking! Meg's an amazing cook, making the meals she makes in a van! 2 questions : How much propane do you carry, and what type of drone? I've been looking for a good drone, but I want one that's small, so i don't need to register it. Thank you so much for sharing this great video! Safe travels 🙏
I was overlanding when Google maps changed the game forever with hd satellite view. As helpful as it is, sometimes I really miss navigating with nothing but Backroad Mapbooks and a first gen Garmin with no maps installed. So for me, having an overlanding app that tells me what to expect would be seriously disappointing, I'm drawing a line at satellite view!
That’s quite a road! How do you keep your little black skull from flying off the dashboard? Looking at those vast distances and you topping off the gas tank made me wonder what kind of gas mileage Betty gets? Have you ever been nervous you won’t make it to your next destination? Too bad you didn’t get a “shot” of the wolf. Did you hear we’re eating dogs and cats in the U.S. now? 😂
Good’ol Velcro on the dash pad works wonders for Gorge. We’ll answer your second question in our next video.😉 I was really kicking myself for not getting the wolf, but our windows were too dirty to get the shot. Dog and cats eh? We’ll make sure to withhold from getting a pet until we settle down in Canada, far away from you “pet-eaters”.🤣
Bro… the fact that you said there are two types of beauty in the world, natural and edible…. Pointed the camera at the food and said “edible beauty”… then pointed the camera at her and DIDNT say natural beauty……🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️😂😂…. Big fumble lol

Hey All, thanks for watching! What did you think of the Top of the World Highway? Is it a section of road you’d like to drive?
Like to keep my Funky van on pavement if I can. Saves rescue towing Haha.

Did it on a big dual sport bike in August a bunch of years ago. Slick when it was wet. The Jack Wade dredge was still just off the road back then.
Can't wait to go back to there again! Chicken and Dawson City are so interesting!

I love it too. The feeling of it, that’s it’s just there. We’ll come and go, but it will all remain.😊
Yup, we thought the same. It's a very cool insight. And true!
