@@comicbookgutterI liked the how joker twisted him, but I must I admit I wish he was actually killed like he was in comics. The Lazarus pit. Had already been shown in universe so they could’ve went down that route. It’s more believable than Batman not trying to recover robins dead body after joker sent him the video. Without the body I don’t think Batman gives up on Jason
What’s truly messed up is the fact that Scarecrow was one of the inmates who joker let torture him, and the only reason he later paired up with someone he hates that much is because of someone he hates even more…Batman.
Scarecrow didn’t know who Arkham knight truly was and I don’t think the part with all the diff villains coming in and torturing Jason is canon specifically anymore .
The interesting thing is that all the torture was Jason’s fault. He snuck out to the Asylum after getting rid of his communicator and tracker, tried to look for Joker, fell down a garbage disposal, got caught on a net, got knocked out and strapped to a chair with barb wire, and the rest is said in the Arkham: Genesis Comics.
In the Arkham games it wasn't it because Batman and Jason where on a mission to rescue orphans to where Jason lost his communicator fighting the Joker?
@@kantovagrant3194 I’m pretty sure it was that Jason and Batman went on a mission to save orphans, Joker killed one, Jason was so angry that he decided to go to Arkham Asylum to kill the Joker but couldn’t and ended up being tortured and was manipulated to think that it was Batman’s fault
They should explain batman side of story as well. When you are warned multiple times by batman to not go after joker and you still do alone and turn off every form of communication it’s on you big guy
Batman was filled with guilt for years. If I'm correct he never stopped looking for him, even when he saw the tape of Joker killing him, he was determined to find him, even he was copse. He loves everyone on the bat-family, Jason knew that at one point, but Joker made him think that was a ruse. Jason's story is almost as heartbreaking as Mr Freeze, which is a pretty f***ing hard feat. Everytime Me Freeze is portrayed correctly, he never gets his happy ending. Jason almost always does.
All these years went by and not one villain slipped. Batman and Robin beating them up, Nightwing making fun of them, and none of them snapped and told Batman about Jason?
@mr._.moustache there had to have been villains who knew and would have traded the info to Batman for leniency too. Freeze and Ivy come to mind because they're not needlessly sadistic.
I like in this story joker in his own twisted way takes Jason under his wing and turned him on Batman it’s a interesting twist compared to the whole killing him and him being angry about it joker literally made this Jason into who he is in knight
The lantern rings did him dirty. If he got chosen by the blue lantern ring for hoping Batman would save him he could’ve easily got free. There no way he didn’t feel intense emotions while being brutally tortured.
I hate that people claim the arkham knight wasn't an original character when it technically was, acting as jasons entirely new persona and not becoming red hood until coping with his past
If only Warner Bros Games and rocksteady can make a Red Hood game based on this story 😪 I always thought Harley & Joker were the only ones that tortured him
You forgot to mention He escaped joker during the events of Arkham asylum by the help of deathstroke (or as you may know him Slade) He escaped by bribing Deathstroke into freeing him in which he accepted And he stole the money from Bruce’s bank account
Yes it was stupid. So what, the whole time as Arkham Knight he had a back up Red Hood surprise identity just in case he happened to change his mind at the last second as a Joker tribute? It makes sense if he was Red Hood before any of that, many years passed while Tim Drake was Robin, what did that all never happen, he just started all of a sudden in his 30s and stayed in his 30s for over a decade?
Likely busy with stuff in Metropolis plus this was before Batman ever made contact with Superman. He and Superman (by SSKTJL story) didn't meet until after Arkham Knight where Clark convinced him to come out of the shadows of his faked death and form the Justice League.
How long did he keep him and what didn't batman find him? He has all the gadgets and is supposed to be a crazy good detective. Why did batman never find him?
Jason removed the parts of the suit used for tracking him and Joker kept him in an abandoned wing of Arkham with the help of inside man Frank Boles. Given that Batman was rarely allowed very far into the Asylum proper it was the perfect place to hide him. As Joker once said "So how do you keep a secret from the World's Greatest Detective? Well do you know? It's easy you stick it right in front of him right under his long pointy nose...and wait! Ha ha!"
How easy was it for Jason to forgive Bruce in the arkham knight game.. I mean, if it was actually years of torture etc there could have been a proper closure instead of Batman just saying I’m sorry
Suicide squad is the best of all of the road to be a better anchor than a car it joker is evil to me so in 2016 is bad guy with rises in his face to face force villains and the bold crime

I think this is the best back story for Jason/Red Hood. It’s way more brutal too.
Agreed. The other Red Hood origin stories are ok but this is by far my fav.

Arkham Knight was such an underrated villain, not just a villain but a ghost of batman's haunting past
That is why the suit looks like Batman's. To mock his appearance and to show a reminder of his past mistakes.

Homie was only like 16 or 17 when he was captured by Joker
The fact that harley quinn helped the joker here proves that she does not deserve to be treated as "a little quirky 😜" and also psychopathic

He went from Robin, Arkham Knight, to Red hood
The Arkham knight suit looks like a combo hybrid of death stroke and Batman which makes sense because arkham Jason was trained by both
Arkham Knight goes hard! Especially that one panel where he's doing the bombastic side eye while holding a gun.
All these years went by and not one villain slipped. Batman and Robin beating them up, Nightwing making fun of them, and none of them snapped and told Batman about Jason?
Jason made fear his weapon. Plus he's willing to kill too. That must of kept them in check. I could be wrong though.
@comicbookgutter I meant, during Jason's torture, none of Gotham's villains ever shared with Batman or Nightwing what they were doing to Jason.
