    I can certainly see what a relaxed ride the torquey engine gives even though it tops out way too soon. Sane fun, not over the top, I like. Oh, and it doesn't have loud pipes either!

      Bahaha point well taken ..its amazing what a hog can do with a person with balls riding it ..ever wonder why the XR750 Harleys have been winning dirt track since 1970 when the XR750 sportster was first developed ? Its because of the Harley's 45 degree engine has a unique uneven firing of the power strokes allowing the rear tire to regain traction between power strokes ..so to compete the other brands like Triumph KTM Honda Suzuki and Kawasaki in their twin's have all built crankshafts that's 270 degrees allowing uneven power strokes so the back tire can regain traction ..unfortunately the Indians are back and roosting every brand on the Grand national dirt tracks like they did to Harley back in the late forty's and early fifty's until Indian went out of bussiness ..but today Indian is back and slaughtering every brand on the dirt tracks ..so the AMA created a new class called the super twins and put the Indians all to themselves so all the other brands can win the GNC- 1 again

    I got stupid and destroyed my dyna s ..but I did manage to beat a stock Suzuki Hayabusa at the all out Dyno Drags in the simulated 1320 ....with both of us on a full tree I pinned the throttle at the last two yellow lights and with a brightly lit last yellow i popped the 15 minute old freshly installed top of the line screamin' eagle clutch pack beyond stage IV ..Scott who is my tuner at Cannonball Harley-Davidson about a couple of months before installed the screaming eagle stage IV kit plus for only an added $160 more ,gear head chuck , Cannonball's screamin' eagle man with the plan exchange the stage IV streaming eagle heads for the higher compression CNC milled off-road only heads with easier to start electronic compression release buttons ..but with still a factory warranty as chuck had assured me that Harley-Davidson wouldn't find out about the racing heads that will cancel your warranty if used but not if they are not reported.. and the same goes with that particular day gearhead chuck who is also a service writer warranty claim person promise not to turn in the TT S tuner that Scott had just put the full tune that morning on my bike and found that the screaming eagle clutch that comes with the stage 4 kit would not handle the horsepower on the top end that you can see that I know chart falling off at about 6,000 with a slipping clutch horsepower was just tapping 125 at the rear wheel with 120 ft. lb of torque coming in at around 5k RPM with the TTS tuner setting the rev limiter to 6800 RPM and 117 cubic inches of mountain motor now illegitimately under warranty sort of not really ..and of course course I have long misplaced my time ticket but vaguely remember my reaction time that was pretty close of something in the order of 0.039 ...as they gave us both a couple of practice starts.. to get coordinated at cutting the best light possible for the moment... And it was on with my 2017 Dyna S I dubbed on my indiana vanity license plate FXLSD 9.6 @ 123mph to the busa 9.7@ 130mph .... It was mentioned to me later bye some other tuners in town that my ET compared to speed was a sure sign that the clutch was still weak on the top end which makes logical sense as I was tapping the rev limiter and managed to speed shift to 6th gear with in the 1320 distance and still turning a 9.6 and some change ... If I get afford to ever do this again screw the warranty right off the bat and eliminate the compensating sprocket all together and forget about all screaming eagle clutches and go straight to Baker and get the King Kong clutch in the first place.... I did use the screaming eagle manual primary chain tensioner that will still retain your warranty on a stock machine and it is a very much to have on a stock machine simply because the ratchet mechanism on the automatic primary tensioner has a very finely cut set of teeth that are very close together so any slight over tensioning the chain absorbs from a 125 horsepower engine will continuously click the ratchet until the chain is banjo string tight that will actually cause the clutch basket bearings and all to run in an overstressed condition and senseless to put up with as manual settings and service needs no inspection more than ordinary service intervals of less than 15 minutes extra labor that's way more than cost-effective.... Compared to what happened later in my case with the compensating sprocket twisting the spring off center causing the compensating sprocket teeth to oscillate snapping the primary chain and exploding the clutch basket into aluminum gravel at the same time rotated one of the flywheels out of round slipping the alignment of the rotating assembly ..and when the results came back from Harley-Davidson warranty claim office somehow information had been passed on to them about my illegitimate racing heads beyond stage 4 as it was my warranty had already been canceled sometime before including the extra 5-year extended $2,000 warranty that I had paid extra for ... But as fate would have it the day she popped was the day before the release of the 2019 fxdr 114 Milwaukee 8 with the 240 rear tire... So the next day as I visited cannonball Harley-Davidson to get some kind of status on what we were looking at in repairs as both the salesman and myself were under the pretense that warranty was still good.... And sight unseen I traded my FXLSD for the FXDR 114 Milwaukee 8 and extreme lucky that I did as a week later my cannonball Harley-Davidson dealership disassembled my broken FX LSD like opening a can of worms they ended up paying for all the repairs out of their own pocket that way she did the difference I gave them for trade upgrading to a 2-year newer bike of the very first one to be sold in the state of Indiana as I had already made the deal before the bike even arrives that wasn't due until 2:30 in the afternoon the following day... Something to note about the fxdr that has a claim 33° lean angle stock that was a generous 34° of rake like a chopper maintains 4.5 in of trail and just how they did that..... Your video of what you modified on your Dyna s with the Kraus triples ..fork tubes are farther forward of the steering head pivot that chance to get a bike a shorter trail exhibiting effortless turn in and quicker response to 90, 120 , and hairpin 180° road course turns .. as you have a generously demonstrated over the past few years... As you could only be the type of rider familiar with big twin HD's to tell if the fxdr can give you a sport like or close to handling characteristics in the twisties cuz I'm too chickenshit to do this crap on asphalt give me a dirt bike drifting on a motocross track feels natural like I'm right at home .... But the thought of road rash and six nurses to hold you down while they scrub the asphalt out of your wounds with purple soap and a stainless steel brush gives me reoccurring nightmares from the past... And from what I'm saying after you drop the bomb passing sport bikes with your rig that was still pretty much an 80 horsepower motor was not much mods other than the pipe your tune and I believe the biggest thing that helped you was the Kraus triples and the modified aftermarket rear suspension shocks and of course that tuned pipe that most of the time you can feel that's why improvement that just happens to be enough to give you the edge to go on.... As what you did to this bike in this video is actually cost-effective and logical.... And by no means is the fxdr anywhere close to handling other than the fact I pointed out with the shorter trail from what I gathered from the short time I had mine that it did turn in giving you a feeling of being in a safety margin of a regular Harley stock FX not modified cuz I've had custom rates motorcycles in the past at you never wanted to do anything that you can do on a fhdr and get away with it so far.... And the style of twin shock diners should never be a problem for you living in the area that you do..... But as I understand you are a season 600 sport bike rider... That should be quite familiar with the types of single shock rear suspensions.... And their advantages as I go back as far as the first monoshock YZ Yamaha Motocross machines and have been to several service skills working at dealerships to understand and adjust properly per input from various writers of various teams locally amateur who were successful later on.. and you can forget about the first Harley softails that are made just backwards and upside down of what really works ...but the new street bobs are a true monoshock with almost a horizontal fully adjustable rear shock absorber spring rate adjustable that could possibly use a fully dampening rebound and compression ride heights and preloaded adjustable Collins would be nice... With feedback from Kraus , Kevin Alsop , 27 cycles jiffy tune and moto GP suspension. I have no doubt that they knew monoshock suspensions of today's what they call Softail could possibly be tuned into as well as what Kraus and MotoGP is doing for twin shock rear suspended Dynas .. just to say adjusting the wheelbase with a custom-made aluminum swing arm custom length shocks variable degree triple clamps offset in the fashion that Kraus uses
    . I should be possible just saying as most of the time my luck doesn't work out that way but we try.....here's some pics of the now discontinued fxdr 114 Milwaukee 8 as per dark lustoms

      At this time the engine is bone stock that makes 80 horsepower to the rear tire on a dyna jet.... And highly recommend that you leave it at this level as it will run a very long time on this tune versus what I did as the unthinkable when I took mine beyond stage 4 with stock suspension drivetrain and swing arm turning in 9.6 in the quarter mile vs a bone stock Hayabusa with an extended swing arm in the right hand Lane that turned a 9.7 that is the Suzuki Hayabusa advertised quarter mile ET
      . Someone said it could never be done.... Harley-Davidson said we're glad we never listened
      Someone said when pigs fly..

    It would be interesting to see an XR1200X out on the track with the FXDLS not saying which one is the fastest but how well they handle the turns as both do pretty well in negotiations on similar track conditions . and there you would have the ultimate track test of big twin vs sportsters on track and wouldn't hurt if you added an EBR just for shits and giggles that I believe would help change the minds of the mindless millenials of there Harley hatred...and by the way about every video about the XR1200X say they are too heavy but no one seems to say what that weight might be , so I looked up the weights of the most popular Japanese sport bikes of similar design like the Honda CB750F of Team rider Freddy Spenser's and the Honda CB750F weights in at around 560 pounds just slithly heavier than a Harley sportster ..so how does today's Harley haters figure an XR1200X that is lighter and faster than Honda's most popular sport bike is too slow and too heavy ???

  • @donniebaker5984
    @donniebaker5984 3 роки тому

    A Harley is a lazy Man's corner bike with it's uneven power strokes allows the rear tire to constantly gain traction.. Were as a four cylinder buzz bomb is constantly trying to break traction , and when it does your bike fly's out from under you , so you are constantly riding on the razor's edge with a very small window of recovery and saying a Harley is too heavy is an excuse of no connection as a Honda of the CB750F of Freddy Spenser's super bikers class weighed 560 pounds , that's more than an XR1200X sportster that is faster than a stock CB750F

    • @crashdrc

      So you’re saying that the Harley has some kind of imaginary advantage in the track that the super sports don’t have. Get outta here with crap and give credit where it’s due. The guy was passing race bikes with a 700 pound Harley.

      @Carlos Ramirez really the biggest mistake I made was assuming that there was intelligent people educated of the general Dynamics involved not knowing that millennial smart mouth assholes who need their attitude readjusted with a 2X4 before would be taking cheap shots of stupid criticism upon my seasoned experience knowledge and instructional education from the manufacturers themselves..
      And yes if you knew anything at all about the rider/owner of this particular Harley on this particular track is a seasoned 600cc sport bike rider in the first God damn place who does make cruising this cruiser around sport bikes look very easy but it's not.. and backing in a sport bike into the turns like Valentino Rossi does as though he's on a dirt track takes even more special skills that you cannot even imagine ... As it is sport bikes have a very small window of forgiveness when you are pushing the limits of stability than to do what this guy does on a 700 lb Harley ,this rider of the Dyna"S" has all the knowledge that I have mentioned in my comment and taking well advantage of what he has to work with..
      Now if you have a problem with that maybe you should look at what 27 cycles jiffy tune has done to a lot of Harley-Davidsons along with Moto GP suspensions that's on this particular Harley at this particular time in this particular video that helps a little along with raising the ride height a couple of inches higher than stock and still scraping the footage pretty hard not to mention that the fact that he has. Kraus performance triple trees that shorten the trail but still allows the stock rake of the Dyna frames that are 29°... And if you need more proof you may want to educate yourself with and now I can experience of tuning a V-Twin suspension and engine as it's done by a master by the name of Kevin Alsop owner of Big Bear performance
      images.app.goo.gl/tPzJxgd1bmJXf92x6
      who builds baggers that not only out corner sport bikes will out run sport bikes between the corners at 170 mph on the high bank at Daytona international speedway this year if you haven't noticed which I doubt if you doBut the engine is bone stock that makes right at 80 horsepower measured at the rear tire on a dyna jet with 79 ft lb of torque.. and the fact that it's a 45 degree V-Twin with both connecting rods on one crank pin puts the rear cylinder out of phase with the front cylinder allowing the rear tire to gain traction and not waste it like your stupid brain... The effect is such a known fact that other brands like triumph BSA have purposely built their crankshafts out of face to be of 270° instead of 180 or 360° so you have an intermittent power stroke allowing the rear tire to gain traction on whatever surface it's on with the appropriate tread and tire match for such surfaces as road race slicks for asphalt and knob tires for dirt and dirt track tires for hard packed oval racing ... And today the Honda Africa twin has such a crankshaft as the older triumph and bsa's sported in the 60s when I began racing and tuning bikes the last century.... Yamaha has even went so far with this technology of 100 years old and their race rocket a 1,000 cc's the R1 that has Yamaha technology of 2009 when they first cross-plane crankshaft was developed by Yamaha that does exactly what I was explaining in my comment and proves that your comment explains that you have no intelligence or an IQ to understand anything at all about what I said that is a goddamn f****** fact and not something I made up but it's real technology borrowed from the old school that's been known for over a hundred years... Not only has been proven mathematically discovered by Sir Isaac Newton of the forces of inertia is also being adopted by dirt track racers of four-cylinder Asian dirt track cars that gives them faster times developing more traction as I stated absolutely true... As I deal in facts and not opinions from uneducated brainless idiots like you... And if you want proof of the facts of today's technology that does work and is in operation right here in front of you in this God damn video read this as proof positive of what I'm saying is real
