I have a ‘22 GS 1250. I have added several accessories to the bike. The one I highly recommend is the Clearwater Billy rear light and tag mount. It’s very clean, the lights are much brighter and it can strobe, check if that’s legal where you are. I noticed an immediate difference in cars behind me and received positive comments from drivers that pull in behind me at a pullover or at a gas station that it was very easy to see even in bright sunlight. Best!
Carl, thank you for the detailed review of the multifunction indicators, I am considering the purchase of a new GS and I was not aware of the potential issues they may cause. Cheers!
Hi Kent, some owners do like them, so if you have time maybe visit your local dealer and look for yourself and try to see both versions and then decide. Best wishes Carl
I’ve stumbled across this by sheer accident. I’ve been at work this morning (I drive HGV for RM) I was coming back from a rural office and I happen to follow a BMW GS 71 plate with the above mentioned ‘light pack’ I thourght the rear lights inc the middle tail light combination were excellent (rider had his lights on) However as he braked to turn off the main road the amber indicator pretty much disappeared amongst the red output of ‘light and brake’ if that makes sense. I thourght the ‘red’ would’ve dimmed to make the amber indicator stand out.
Hello SJR, welcome to the channel, thank you for sharing your experiences, this is, as you have now experienced, a problem many owners have, with not only new bmws but with other brands too. The good news is we now can fix the issues, albeit at our own expense. Thankyou for sharing your observations. Best wishes Carl
For a moment I was scared! I thought that you would give this beauty back. What a relief :) Once I had BMW R1200GS 2006 model. I was calling it my bicycle as it was as easy as riding a bike. Now I have Multistrada but planning definitely to get my Bicycle back soon.
Hello SubMan, thank you for the compliment. Yes more episodes on the GS series to come. Currently working on the next episode which is all about Dynamic ESA, settings, function, technology. Congratulations on your new bike.... Best wishes Carl
Congratulations on your purchase, I honestly didn't see that coming. I do enjoy your approach to reviewing, it's the reason I got on board. I did have the very same concerns over the indicators but they come as standard with the te model in the uk. I have seen in one of your other comments that it is possible to delete this function, I'll ask when I take it in again. I picked up my triple black te at the end of march and have been enjoying it apart from one major thing that's making me thing about getting rid of it. The noise that the bike generates is really causing some discomfort even with custom earplugs, they are 12 yes old and new ones are on order. After some reading, it looks like the noise is from tyre/road surface, I was also experiencing buffeting, this has been cured with a puig screen but in reducing this, it has made the tyre/road noise more noticeable. My dealership owner has asked me to bring it in so he can ride it and I can try his bike with pirelli scorpion tyres. He did say people do complain about the standard Michelin adventure tyres. So we'll see, I honestly don't want to sell but I can't risk making my tinnitus any worse
Hi Paul, good evening. If you look down through tonight’s comments (tsport 636) it looks like it is possible at least on the front, which makes me feel a little silly having said it can’t. But that’s what my dealer said and they also said Berlin Technical confirmed it. Oh well…. Back to the dealer for more questions. Tyres, do let us all know how you feel the ST2 Pirelli tyres perform for you, once you have tried the owners GS. If they are anything like how they feel on my Multistrada… you might just like them…Smile Carl
Carl, I love your presentations. Very informative and concise. However, whilst totally agreeing with your comments about the safety of the multi function indicators, I can't seem to find any reference by you as to which ones you changed them for. Please would you advise me. Many thanks. Peter
Hi Peter, that's because I am still testing them, I wanted to use them for a month and properly test them, and get feedback from my friends following me, and do night riding and use them in the rain, I'm almost done. I now need to put the episode together showing what I installed and how much of an improvement they have been. I hope to have that available soon. Best wishes Carl
Carl. Thanks for prompt reply. I am subscribed to your channel now. Does that mean I will be informed as you release new videos. Sorry, never subscribed before, so not sure how it works ! Hopefully, wont be too long, those multi function indicators frighten me. My Son followed me a few days ago and told me how useless they are. Thanks again.
Hi Peter, thank you for subscribing, yes that's how it works, just check that you have "notifications turn on" in your settings and you should receive a message, as soon as the episode goes live. Carl
Well I commented a while ago, as I have extra denalis on my back box- so the rear isn’t a problem- but I also have white running lights and indicators on my hand guards- having had a few people pull out on me I’ve finally taken the plunge to get the weiser also!
Hi Adam they certainly have resolved the issues and concerns I had and I am very happy with them. Let me know how you get on with your installation just take your time and follow the guide. Best wishes Carl
Fantastic, Carl! Super that you pulled the trigger. I have the Rallye version that came with the lower rallye screen. I’m sensitive to noise so I put a Puig Touring screen on the bike. Also required upper reinforcement kit to stabilize the screen at higher speeds (additional cost). The bike also came with knobby tires from the factory, which I believe is the limiting factor with speed (100 mph). Intention is to replace them at some point with sport touring tires - would love your input on this selection. My concern is stability in corners and at high speed. My front calipers are Brembo, so no issues. Finally, the bike was a special order that was not picked up and I swooped in and purchased. It came with some Option 719 equipment: mirrors, reservoirs, cylinder heads, gear shift, and rear brake. The bike is much more maneuverable that my RS. Fantastic machine.
Hello Jesse, sounds like you secured a great bike with all those extras installed. Thankyou for the feedback on the screen I'm going to experiment with different types over the next few weeks and report back to everyone once I find a solution. I think changing the tyres (yours and mine) will make a big difference, currently undecided which route to go, Metzeler, Pirelle or Michelin. I've had good experience with the new GT2 and ST2... so we will see. Glad you're enjoying the series, I am super excited to now make some changes and the opportunity get the GS how I would like it. Best wishes Carl
Very helpful comment. My 2023 GSA came with Metzler Karoo 3 tires, (70/30) and I was wondering what the 100 mph limit sticker was on my handlebars, thank you!!!
Totally agree - using the indicators as day running lights is dangerous. They should ONLY flash when making a turn. I personally would not feel safe riding any motorcycle with the BMW setup. This is what happens when designers make things too complicated. BMW made the same mistake when they introduced the EVO electric servo brakes a few years ago.
Hello and welcome, yes this is a common issue I and other owners have highlighted. I hope to review an aftermarket solution soon on the channel, that should greatly improve this. Best wishes Carl
Congrats on the purchase, I’m sure you’ll enjoy the all around competence of the bike. I’ve owned GS’s since 2000 and seem to keep them for 6 years and then buy another. Nothing evolutionary in the changes but the bike keeps getting better and better. I guess that’s what a manufacturer needs to do when your competitors are nipping at your heals.
I agree with your comments on the indicators front and rear on the GS/A. I don’t have one, but have followed and lead people with them and they are badly programmed. The Denali T3s for me get this right, they are more visible (white front running lights) which turn out completely when you indicate and similarly for the rears, indicators are brighter and the running light (standard red function) or red brake lights turn off which makes them much clearer to see.
I really like the in depth reviews but it also so happen I rode together with a couple friends a week-end ago both on 1250GS and 1250 GSA 2021 models with all-packs included (30k € bikes) and I was following them or being escorted between 'em. Super sunny day rode in small towns and country roads and had no issue whatsoever to distinguish the left-right signals nor the hazard or any combo of the above. Usually most common are break lights + L or R signals together. On a side-note they had Hayes calippers on the front and Brembo on the rear brake. No signs of leakin or suspect traces also. They didn't even know they have Hayes on the front, no issues whatsoever in several thousands kilometers so far. Cheers from Belgium!!
Hello Ranger, good evening and welcome, and thank you for your feedback and sharing your experience with other GS owners and the rear lights. Best wishes Carl
Great demonstration on the lights. I never get to see my bike from behind as it's going down the road. I didn't have any problems seeing the lights other than the marker lights, and I believe that was due to them flashing at a different speed from what you were recording. I can see how people could get confused though. As I said in the video you initially covered this in with the Lone Rider Motobags and GIVI 58L top case always on it gives the lights some contrast and that's probably why I've not heard any complaints. Can't say I've had any drivers pull out in front of me either, but drivers here in Japan are overly cautious. They are also very aware of motorcycles because there are a lot of people that ride here year round. All the mailmen deliver the mail on scooters no matter the weather. Congrats on adopting a great motorcycle, look forward to your future videos. The 6V to 12V conversion sounds very interesting.
Hi Correy, thank you for sharing, as too the lights I think you might have a good point that with certain luggage shade is provided and improves visibility. I do have a question... as your in Japan... how do you get on with speed restrictions, is it possible to open the bike up or do you have to be very careful?. Thankyou again Carl.
I have the light package but ofcourse I am riding and never knew how these worked. Appreciate this as I am learning so much. Congrats and waiting to see more video.
Hello Satz and welcome to the channel, thank you for the feedback and comments. More episodes to follow... I'm also going to make one explaining specifically how the adaptive headlights work and operate. Best wishes Carl
I've got a 2021 GSA in the UK where it comes in TE spec which includes the lighting pack as standard. In my first week of ownership I had 3 drivers pull out in front of me at junctions - something I've rarely had in over 40 years of riding. I asked my dealer to switch the amber running lights off at the first service and contrary to what you were told it can be done. It wasn't a simple process and involved the dealer having to request a complete new build of the bike's firmware from Germany, which then took the best part of a day to install. This could only be provided to them on submission of a written authorisation from me that I wanted the lights switched off. Unfortunately you are right that their is nothing they can do about the rear ones.
Hello Tsport, that's very interesting indeed, thankyou for taking the time to share. That's really why the channel is here so we all can learn. I will now ask my dealer why they didn't tell me about this alternative route. Thankyou again for sharing it may well help other owners. Well done. Best wishes Carl
That’s good to know- I have denali lights on my top box and an extra brake light to the rear- and extras up front too- however not having the amber running lights could be a nice option (I have some selective yellow stuff anyway)
Great video. Up to now I regretted getting a 2020 1250gs because I missed the LED multifunction lights. However, after watching your video I’m glad I did!
Hello TC and welcome to the channel. yep.... I had my heart set on a PP too... but in the end a couldn't ignore how good the GS is at so many things. Best wishes Carl.
Just wanted to let you all know that you can indeed turn them off or change the brightness of the lights by using the HEX GS911, along with all sorts of other settings like the display/heated grips/start up screen etc should choose change them.
Greeting's from N.I. Carl. Great explanation and vlog, I was one of the people who commented on people pulling out on me and I had another one today. My bike was in for a 6.5k mile service yesterday and I asked the same question and NO and they were bemused as to why I wanted too. They did do 3 updates but I still had to get the oil level sensor replaced. Screen ! get the PowerBronze light tint I have had it since 2013 works great looks like the standard screen only taller especially for my good lady on the back. Tyres ! Road 5 or 6 outstanding even in the wet at three figure speeds. regards Robert.... PS Perhaps the person who commented on the lights that they can be turned off could enlighten us as how and where !!!.
Hi Robert, if you scan down through tonight’s comments, Tsport 636 has also had his front cruise lights deactivated, so it looks like...maybe...possibly my dealer has not given me totally correct information or maybe Berlin did not answer the question fully. All I can do is go back again to my dealer and ask about the firmware change. Thankyou for the PowerBronze tip I now have several things to try. Carl
@@justthewayitis THAT ride home was the best one yet! The test ride did not show me just how damn good this bike really is. Wow. I saw the possible confusion the "always on" lights could cause and if there's a way to create more contrast between signaling vs static I will do it. Maybe its buried in the menu screens somewhere. :)
Hi Matthew, good to hear your happy, you will have a lot fun. Sadly there is no adjustment in the menu, you can ask bmw to turn the front daylight function off, some dealers will do this, some say no. But even switched off your still left with dim indicators. The rears cant be changed that's why the Weiser Technik solution is what a lot of us have done. Carl
Great video and very helpful. I’m about to order a 2022 GS1250 TE spec in uk and it comes with the cruising lights. Will speak to dealer to turn off front indicators. If not will fit the weiser system though equally concerned that doing so will void the warranty.
Hi Lee, check with your dealer but I’m not aware that installing accessories like indicators will affect your warranty. Yes they can turn off the running lights some dealership charge a small fee? Others will do it for free. Best wishes Carl
Hi Carl.. just watched the video, so helpful as I too don’t like the cruising indicators. Can you confirm that the you can switch them off via the dealer ?
I appreciate the thoroughness of your reviews. Congratulations on the purchase. I too just picked up a 2022 GSA and am adding bits and pieces to make her mine. Quick question, I have experienced the front of the rider seat getting a bit warm (not a heated seat), anyone else experienced this? Bike is a week old.
Hi Vic, hello and welcome to the channel. Sorry I have not experienced this but maybe one of the other owners or subscribers has some experience... I hope you are enjoying your GSA... 👍 Best wishes Carl
I dont know if these dealership had lack of knowledge or what. Im using E-Sys and my 2022 S1000XR turn signals were off. I managed to turned on as “drl” but at the same time they will blink L,R and hazard.. I coded my headlight too as auto for low beam instead of always ON. Now i have 3 DRL in front. The lines under headlight, turn signals and Aux.
Hi AD78, i think, like you, a good number of dealers don't know how to make these changes, which is a shame. I have now resolved the issue by replacing front and rear indicators, a full episode should go live from me this week. Best wishes carl
I have 1250 GS 2021 model, and it’s front indicators do not light on as your bike. The dealership (Istanbul / Turkey) answered some of series don’t have this specification and if I want the front indicator steady lighting, I have to pay extra 100 Euros for software update. After watching your video I decided not to update.
Hi Alim, yes, the cruising lights are not approved for all territories or countries, and this is why they are not available to all owners. Glad the episode helped you, now you can spend the extra 100€ on fuel and go on a weekend tour in your beautiful country. Carl
Fascinating vlog - I agree the indicators are a real danger and the first time I’ve ever seen anyone reviewing this function. I shall now go back and watch the first four gs reviews. Great choice of bike though !
Great video as usual there all very thorough and extremely descriptive ! Do you find you get a lot of "roar" coming up from the front end? It's like road noise and for me it really detracts from the ride despite tyre change
Hi Geoff, yes I agree road/tyre noise moves up through the fork area. Which tyres did you have and which tyres did you move too ? I am about to change mine from Anakee Adventure Carl
@@justthewayitis I changed from anakee to another more road orientated I think metzeler roadtec but the noise was not tyres it cost me 300 odd quid but still roared it put me off the bike once I tuned in it was torturous. Just don’t go thinking changing tyres will solve the problem. Shame because other than that it was a great bike
Wunderlich do make a cowling that fits and fills the gap under the bars, and is supposed to reduce noise transmission. I've not tried it nor do I know weather it works. But it might help. My roar was from the screen, fitting a Xscreen (see in videos) dramatically reduced the problem. It took time to find the perfect setting but now it's much better. Carl
@@justthewayitis thanks Carl I need another gs first 😂 I am actually contemplating it I currently have a xr which is great but the warranty is coming to an end also chains…😵💫 but I’m a bit lazy ..
Hi Carl, can you make a video on connecting helmet comms (Cardo Packtalk Bold) to TFT screen, smart mobile and Navigator VI? The problem I have and I understand many others is that one cannot connect both TFT and Navigator VI at the same time. There seems to be a conflict and you need to choose between one or the other. Thanks.
Very thorough episode! I can confirm there are people riding behind you complaining about the visibility of the indicators while braking (I ride a 2021 R1250GSA). Congratulations on your purchase! I’m quite happy that you’ll be able to continue the series because I enjoy it so far and even learned a few new things! 🙂
Hi Jessica, thank you for your comments, and I am actually delighted to be able to continue with the series... as you know.. they are great bikes and I was wrong about them from the beginning . Old dogs can learn things, it seems. Smile. Have you found any nice roads back home yet ? Best wishes Carl
Hello Carl! There are definitely very nice roads in the area where I live; one just needs a bike with proper suspension. So riding around back-roads with the suspension in Dynamic is not the best idea. But a GS shines on less-than-ideal roads 🙂 And yes, everyone can learn new things every day, and that’s a good thing: life would be boring otherwise 😎
Them indicators! It's a very important safety aspect, you'd have thought BMW would have looked into that a bit more concisely. I've got a 2019 1250 GSA and am glad I don't have that option. Great Video. Subscribed.
Hello Mr W...I don't think its BMW fault really... I think it's the safety commission that approved it for bikes. One thing I didn't mention in the episode is that younger drivers seem to be more aware of modern lights and cruising / daylight running lights. It's the slightly older generation that are not used too them and can get confused. But we all like different things. Thankyou for your comments...👍 best wishes Carl
Congratulations on your new bike Carl, and welcome to the club 😀. Mine is going for the 1.000 km check on Monday. I made some changes to my bike, such as an Akrapovic exhaust, the smaller rallye screen in dark smoke, of course the protection bars but just the lower ones and a few more things here and there. One thing that I can highly recommend is the BMW cradle for your phone. It works great, plus you have all interesting „KPIs“ saved and you can look at them later on your phone. You may want to check it out. Something to watch out for if you do decide to change the exhaust… if you care about noise be careful with what you buy. For me personally, the Akrapovic looks great especially in black. But it is too loud. I once read on a GS forum that someone was selling his Akrapovic exhaust because it is too loud. An SC Project or any other may also be too loud. I love the looks, but I do not enjoy making unnecessary noise. Anyway, enjoy the new bike and safe riding. And I love the fact that now that you own one you may be sharing more videos about the GS. Cheers. Max
Hello Max and thank you for sharing your thoughts on the exhaust, I'm sure this will help others. Like you, i do like the look of the alternative end can, but here in Germany we have to be very careful... especially if we tour in Switzerland where they can and do take your bike away if it exceeds there noise limits. Best wishes Carl
Have enjoyed your videos, so well done on the purchase of your bike, you touched upon the one bugbear I have with the GS, I own a 1250 GSA, and the noise coming up from the front is really irritating, so I will be greatly antisipating your tests, to see if you can reduce the frontal noise, I always thought it was coming up thru the front of the forks, but this is as I say my only gripe about the bike
Hi Paul, welcome to the channel 👍, a fair amount of owners mention this issue, I think a lot is connected to tyre choice... but I can't confirm that yet. Wunderlich make a cowling that reduces the wind moving up through the forks into the cockpit area, I have not tried it... I wonder if it helps? Maybe someone can post here if they have any personal experience. I am going to be at wunderlich on the 3rd of September, so I ask while I am there. Best wishes Carl
Fascinating vlog - I agree the indicators are a real danger and the first time I’ve ever seen anyone reviewing this function. I shall now go back and watch the first four gs reviews. Great choice of bike though
Brilliant videos. Keep them coming. I have a 2021 R1250GS Rallye (same as yours except gold wheels) with 15,000 kms and the point you bring up about the indicators and safety should go straight to the top at BMW. It needs fixing soon. I will ask re having my front running lights turned off at the first opportunity. I have fitted Machineart Moto X heads instead of crash bars. A pair of Baja Designs Squadron Pro driving lights with Hexcan, a windscreen aerofoil at the top of the stock screen which is ok when there are no sidewinds, still noisyish though, Barkbusters (good), a WunderLINQ unit which really works very well with my (sacrificial) iphone on a Quadlock rather than the BMW Connected Cradle, I find keeping the TFT water stain free a real pain so I fitted a glass Speedo Angels TFT protection screen (if you get the gloss one it gives the black parts a nasty reddish brown tint, the non reflective one doesn't and works much better). Grip Puppies and Metzeler Roadtec 01's round it out nicely. Looking forward to your next videos :)
Hi Geoff, and thank-you for the feedback. You have been busy installing some lovely upgrades which sound very interesting. What do you think about the Roadtec 01’s ? Carl
@@justthewayitis Hi Carl, yes I am happy with everything I have fitted, I have just fitted an SW Motech City Pro tank bag and it seems ideal. The 01’s replaced Anakee Adventures which were fine as well. I’m not a fast rider these days (66 years) but the tyres turn in nicely, sit on a line well, don’t whine much, and seem to grip well in the dry and wet. So without pushing them too hard they seem fine. I suspect they have a lot more grip than I will ever use (I don’t get much past 35 degrees lean). Having said that, I live in Tasmania (which has some of the best motorcycling roads in the world) and on a ride out to the West Coast, which is a series of continuous corners, long, fast, as well as tight hairpins and everything in between for 230kms and the bike and tyres are superb.
Thankyou you Geoff for the feedback about the 01's. South of Melbourne and across the sea... I have seen a couple of bike tests in Tasmania and it looks quite beautiful... I hope you enjoy more time on your lovely GS. Thankyou again for replying. Carl
Congratulations on your purchase Carl, it's a great bike! Going on a European trip mid June and on the return, the Anakees are going in the bin and a set of Michelin road 6s are going on. Ride safe!
Making my way through your back catalogue of vids Carl v interesting, you have to ask why have BMW adopted this system re: the indicators / brake light / running lights - maybe it was a slow day and the engineers were bored…………or they were just keeping the marketing dept. happy with their (must have list for this year) 🤣
Hi Andrew, well I think in principle it was a great idea but sadly poorly executed with some major flaws but the Weiser-Tech lights do resolve this. The new R1300GS will have radar front and rear so they probably wanted to create room for the rear module and get customers used to the new to come setup. Best wishes Carl
Congrats on the new purchase. You made a great choice. Look forward to the coming videos to see what you add to 5he bike. I added a Puig laminar deflector to the top of mt windshield. Works really well. Again, congrats!
Hello Carlos, thank you. Honestly not sure what to do. The multistrada is the better bike for sporty riders, even my 2013 version is, the new V4S is on another level. Carl
Excellent video. I contacted a BMW dealer about the rear indicator but he wasn't able to say so he contacted BMW UK they replied yes it is possible but at a cost of £350 . I contacted BMW staying it's a safety feature so should be free, to date I have had no reply dispite repeat e mail. Having been hit from the rear before I've opted to fit Denali T3 to the rear (keeping original indicators ) they do what the standard indicators should do and it's cheaper.
Important information below regarding a new product that will resolve this common problem. Hi Michael, good morning and welcome to the channel. Thankyou for sharing your experience trying to get BMW to resolve this for you, I hope they do eventually reply to you. Currently I am talking with a product supplier for a complete solution for the rear and front multifunction indicator issue. The final product should be here and installed and tested on my bike during the next 6 to 8 weeks, after which I will have several episodes covering it. More information will follow . Best wishes Carl
Glad you kept it mate ..and as you no i had the indicators.. i to have change my tyre's i went for the Michelin road 6's and so far they are great.. going to do the nc500 in Scotland next week ill see how the preform.
Hi Andy, I watched your video about your tyre change last week (Well done) so I am waiting to see how you get on with the new Michelin’s and your thoughts. I wish for you a great time in Scotland with your wife. Question: will this be the longest passenger tour she has done on the GS and how is she finding the new bike ? Carl
@@justthewayitis yes this will be both our longest tour on the gsa ..we have done wales back in march.. my last bike was a versys 1000 and she finds the gsa more comfortable so she will be fine we have done very long days on the versys so we should be good on the gsa..she was very happy with the choice I made with the bmw she loves it especially the heated seats .
I’ve wondered if it would be possible to fit additional indicators on the rear, away from the standard ones if it can’t be modified. Really though, BMW should be doing a software mod to disable the brake light in the indicator that is flashing.
Hi Tim, that's a good idea, I am not aware of any but perhaps one of the subscribers has already done this and might share their solution. If I come across any I will let you know. Kind regards Carl
Morning Tim I fitted Denali T3 to the outer edges of the boxes using 3d tape to hold them ,rather than drilling the boxes. I ran the wires under the box and up the frame via a waterproof connector . I opted to control then via a hex ezcan this gave me the option of not having the tail light on during the day and a flashing brake light when engine braking it can be wired direct into the harness without issues if you want .the indicator has priority over all light functions any way you wire them . I did my first group ride with them and comments were made its a vast improvement.
Hi Michael, thank you for sharing your solution. I have just spent 3 days with the team from a company (USA company but products manufacturered in UK) testing their new product to fix the multifunction issue on the bmw models. And I now have the latest product fitted to my GS. The lights and function - options are a massive improvement over OEM. It will be a few weeks before I can get that episode finished and released but I think it will offer a solution that not only addresses the BMW issue but also offer a great upgrade for Africa Twin owners, and many other brands like KTM. Best wishes Carl
That sounds very interesting Carl, I’ll keep an eye out for that. It’s a real shame BMW couldn’t offer their customers something similar. Excellent solution Michael but I ride without luggage attached mostly.
Hi Carl, Enjoying the series. I bought a 2021 Rallye TE, Really like it and really enjoying it. Just on the rear multifunction indicators I saw a one of the videos where you appear to have removed the originals and replaced them. Is that covered in one of your videos as I can't seem to track in to down. I would be interested to know what the replacements were and was it an easy process? Thanks. Rob
Hi Rob, and welcome. That is coming in a future episode. Front and rear indicators have been replaced and they are now much much better. Part 3 of Dynamic ESA and Ride modes is coming next week. Then I will have the indicators episode. Best wishes Carl
Hi Carl. I’m learning so much about my GSA from your videos (I’ve had mine for 2 years). Did you do a video where you replace the indicators for an after market set? Had a look but can’t find one. Thank you. Chris
Hello Chris and welcome to the channel. That episode is still to come in the future. Currently I am working on the Riding Modes Explained episode (which is part 3) of Dynamic ESA explained mini series. Once that is finished and uploaded I will start putting together the episode about the lights, indicators, and how its possible to fix the issues I and many of us have. Best wishes Carl
Hi Ch1, and welcome, yes that episode will be up soon. I hope you have had plenty of positive experiences with your new bike... smile. Best wishes Carl
@@justthewayitis Yes Carl I love it, It’s my second one coming from a 2019. I was told from the dealer because mine has the halogen headlight due to shortage (BMW will replace when available) they included this light pack and when I asked if this can be removed they confirmed that it cannot be removed but “apparently” BMW are working on a fix. Must say in bright sunshine it’s actually dangerous . By the the way thanks for the most informative videos.
Yes there are rumours that a fix or update can be done, some subscribers have said this, but I asked locally at my BMW dealership and ask BMW in Berlin and was told... not possible. Your going to like the next episode then.... smile. Carl
@@justthewayitis I’m 6’2” and currently have (for summer) the small Puig screen (similar size to the WRS one). It works well and I’ve actually used it for a 1200 mile tour without any problems of turbulence. If the weather had looked like being wet I would’ve fitted the original screen. The original is ok..ish but think it already looks a bit big, which is why I would like to try out an original GS screen. I’m not a fan of many of the supersize aftermarket screens, they look sails on the bikes! Just my personal thoughts. Typos corrected 🙃
Nice video . Waiting for my GS1250 to arrive in the dealers . Ordered the light package and don’t see a problem . My Africa twin had a similar thing with the indicators on the front , never an issue. On the power front , good luck to the KTM and MS boys , you get to go to jail or wave goodbye to your licence sooner than me 😉I’ve ordered the rallye screen and other bits for my Triple black with bling bling gold wheels . Enjoy
Hello GDS321, this is partly why I decided not to go with another Multistrada... all of the big bikes make more power and torque than we can In all honestly use on the road. And I do value my license 😏 hence the GS purchase. Thankyou for your comments again. Carl
So which colour did you order ? to go with your gold wheels (Andrew one of the subscribers) ordered a Triple Black with gold wheels and I can imagine that looks great, ive never actually seen that combination here in Germany …yet.
For what its worth, if I'm stopped, I use my arm to indicate a turn, first trying to ensure the vehicle driver sees me. I've ridden for 40 years with only 3 mishaps, none in the last 20 years, No injuries, 2 not my fault. I assume and believe, I am invisible when riding. I further assume some aggressive drivers are looking to "kill" me. That level of caution has kept me alive.
Hi Jim, thank you for sharing, I do a similar thing and start each bike journey with the thought.... everyone else is a potential idiot today. Smile. Best wishes Carl
Hi Ricardo, good question… I had already bonded with the bike and sort of new she was going to stay. Never thought that when I started as I Was a Multistrada guy 100%.
Thank you for the great video and amazing content. I am in the market for a gs and I am hesitating between a 2019 gs and a 2021 gs. Given the significant price difference in the second hand market (close to 3000 euros) what are your thoughts on the 2 options? Are the new gizmos on the 2021 worth the extra money riding modes, head light etc...). Thank you so much
Hello Tahir welcome to the channel. I actually prefer the ride quality on the 2018/9 version. The LED headlight is amazing on the 21 bikes but do you ride a lot in the Dark ? I think the one thing I would really miss are those heated seat’s…. Now I am used to them I wouldn’t want to be without them, plus the heated grips have 5 settings on the 21 onwards bikes. It’s not an easy choice If you can wait, when the new gs1300 comes out the 21 bike prices will fall Let me know what you decide to purchase, best wishes Carl Ps the 2018/9 bikes are very very good👍
@@justthewayitis Thank you so much for your response. I dont really ride much at night, mostly day trips to minimise the risks but those head lights do look amazing. As we all know the choice of motorcyle is not just rational but also very emotional hehe. Thanks again for the feedback, I ll take another couple of weeks to decide and send you a picture. Have a good weekend.
Hello Carl, My GS does have cruising front indicator lights, however as technical guy in dealer said he can activate this function in the software. May I ask you if it is possible and safe for the bike? Thank You, Vinh
Hi Vinhn, yes the BMW dealer can turn this function On or Off using software, some dealerships charge for this service and some will do it for free. I personally don’t like them so that why I installed the Weiser-Tech lights front and rear on my GS. You can see the before and after effects by watching my Weiser-Tech light videos. Best wishes Carl
I have a 2022 R1250 with no heated seats. Can i retrofit one on? Because heats seats are options like the alarm system I know anything in a package can not be retro fited
Hi Benny, good morning, perhaps you could send me your contact details via the "contact me" section on my channel. Then once I'm back from Norway I will contact you. Thankyou Carl
Hello from a fellow Englishman in Hesse! Not relevant to this episode, but I noticed that you have a bar riser fitted to your GS with a backwards component. Do you find that this increases comfort? All the best, Nick
Hello Nick, yes is the simple answer, the bar riser just moves the bars 24mm closer although I did not really want to go higher+30mm. I found that the riser really helped with comfort for my shoulders and took the riding position closer to that of the multistrada. Just this last week I experimented with taking the seat back up from 850 to 870mm and now I think the riders seating triangle is almost perfect. If your out and about on your GS close to Edersee let me know. Carl 👍 Oh... and I got them from a company here in Germany - Voigt MT. Buy them directly and they are much cheaper and you dont need the clutch extension. 78€ and they have all the necessary paperwork.
@@justthewayitis Thanks Carl, I'll give the bar riser a go! I passed by Edersee last year on my back to Wiesbaden. A beautiful area and I stopped in at Zündstoff for a burger. Nick
Hi Nick, I did also try a couple of other companies that make bar risers while I had the R1250R on test last year. Wunderlich make some very nice ones...but I personally found the quality and style best from Voigt MT. Zündstoff is just around the corner and have a good menu... in the summer it can be packed with hundreds of bikers. Last year we changed our summer tour plan and passed through Wiesbaden on our way to Baden-Baden to ride the B500 and surrounding area. Beautiful place. Best wishes to southern Hessen Carl.
@@justthewayitis Voigt are actually out of stock but deliveries expected soon. I saw that SW Motech are offering an adjustable extender but seems expensive and maybe not as robust as a fixed unit. I've just returned from a 5k trip to Istanbul and the aching shoulders came in after 2 hours riding every day! Nick
Hi Nick, now that really is going on tour. Perhaps you could write or share about it on a platform like UA-cam or on a web page. Or maybe that's not your thing... But... Full Respect 👍 Carl
Hi Mark, no, it’s really just the beginning. In tonight’s video (part - 6) I share that the GS is now staying and the series will continue, and I outline what is coming up over the next few episodes. Kind Regards, Carl
awesome vid mate , i bought the 2021 GS Rallye and yes i have had cars pulling out on me as well , it does give you that butt puckering moment , but it is the best motorcycle you can buy and im glad i bought it , cheers :-)
I thought there used to be a law that indicators and brake lights should be kept separate?? cars for sure. Not sure why you would want your GS to look like a Harley with cruise lights, I think BMW have looked at a problem that didn't need looking at!
The lights can be coded out, just need to find someone who can do it, very common. Reach out on the forums, they normally remotely do the coding via your own laptop and a dongle.
Hi James, thank you for sharing I will have a look on my local forum, although I have now installed a completely different system that also is much brighter than the oem lights that are limited on current by the canbus. More information to follow in another episode. Carl
First of all, thank you for the videos! 😊 I had the opportunity to test a GS the other day and like you I was so surprised. Positively surprised! But my problem is: the new GS 1300 is about to be released. And I assume that there will be a proper update. For example: less weight, ACC, maybe a bigger screen (10.25 inches of the RT) and certainly a few PS and NM more. Does it still make sense to buy a current GS or rather wait the couple of months. I assume that the new GS will be presented at the end of the year.... Market launch but certainly 2023... And yes, there is always an even bigger fish out there 😋 but so a GS you do not buy for one or two years.... Hmm...
Hello Thilo, and welcome to the channel. This a great question one that I thought hard about myself. My thoughts are that having seen and riden the new multistrada V4S things dont always go the way we hope. The V4S is heavier than my old 2013 model and the fuel efficiency has drastically dropped. My multistrada averages 54mpg all the time. The new one achieves between 32 and 42 depending on who is providing the review. Add into this the current GS is at about its maximum thermal efficiency in terms of HP and Torque so I presume BMW will need to make the new bike fully water cooled if they want to add more HP and Torque, so lowering the weight would seem an extremely hard task. Yes technology will improve for sure.... but these are just my thoughts. Carl
@@justthewayitis I guess that's true. BMW certainly doesn't want to be outclassed by Triumph or Ducati in terms of weight. I'm also guessing that the engine will be completely water-cooled. That will have an effect on the weight. But I suspect BMW will compensate somehow. Maybe with the new frame. With new technology, there's also always the question: Is it really needed for the user? How susceptible will it be? I'm still pretty undecided. Whereas this "want to have" effect is really huge. And the current GS is really good... Hach... So your next videos will have a big impact 😉
@@thilo7136 Hi, I am German and follwing the same discussion on german forums. Basically you would need to make a decision, if you want to be an early adopter or stay safe a few more years with a 1250. At least in the first year even my BMW dealer is expecting some issues with the 1300 which would need to be ioned out. Especially as the 1300 GS will be a complete new construction (new frame, suspensions, water cooled engine etc). So I would wait at least a year. I just bought a 1250. All major issues have been ioned out by BMW. I will do the same with the 1300. Waiting a couple of years as the later models intend to be better than the early ones. Hope that helps
Hi Thilo and Torbs , this would be the better solution as Torbs has said… wait a while before buying the new gs1300. My dealer has told me it does not look very nice !!! But we have to wait and see if the colours and graphics are good. Plus possible new bike problems. I have been offered to change my GS, but I will wait at least 1 or 2 years. GS 1250 production was finished in the first week in May. No more order’s are being taken. It takes 6/8 weeks to completely change the tooling for the new GS 1300, first bikes will be delivered end of August or early September. Visit your dealership now and see what stock of the 1250 is available Carl
Hallo Torbs, hast du etwas über den Telelever gehört? Mir wurde gesagt, dass er nicht am neuen GS ist, aber die Bilder, die ich gesehen habe, zeigen den Telelever, Carl
Are you familiar with the Bimmercode software? @justthewayitis I have a BMW f750gs and I can turn on/off the cruising lights by editing the coding for tns_CruiseLightFunc_Active. There are additional options to select only front or rear, or to activate them only after a speed threshold. It's not like I don't trust the dealer but I have to say all of the dealers in my area do not want to do any coding work on my bike and they say that all my requests are just not possible.
Wow, i never pull out, as a biker or a car driver, until i see the vehicle actually slowing down and turning, if im waiting a junction, and i see a vehicle indicating to turn, i always think, wait, that indicator might have been accidentally activated.
I’ve rode my 22 GS Trophy for the first time yesterday and had 2 people coming towards me flash their hazards and point at the bike and someone at J&S said my hazards are on but not flashing 🤦🏻♂️ apparently BMW can disable the front ones but obviously nothing they can do about the rears.
Hi Paul and welcome to the channel, yes BMW can turn this function off on the front, some dealers charge for this others not. But the problem remains on the rear. This is why many of us have fitted new indicators front and rear to remove the problem and improve safety and visibility. I hope you are otherwise enjoying your new bike.... congratulations. carl
Hi Paul, then do let us know how you get on at your dealer having them switched off. This is a hot topic and your feedback from your dealer is very welcome. carl
I have the adventure screen on my GS. I am quite short (178 cm) and i have no wind at all. I can ride with the helmet open at almost any speed. Thanks for making all these videos. I really enjoy them👍
Hi Søren, welcome and thank you, yes I have heard good things about the larger screen, so I hope to try that soon, thankyou for reminding me 👍 Best wishes Carl
I wouldn't dispute anyone who says that the riding pack can't clearly see the indicators without the brake light on, I can simply say that I haven't seen for myself. But where I think this is a nonissue is when it's mentioned in the context of the brake lights being on at the same time. If you are already breaking then indicators aint going to be a fat lot of use to anybody behind, and if you left it that late to indicate before turning then your poor driving skills are the (much) greater hazard. As for the fronts, maybe, though these have been on Honda for years. People turn out on bikes for many reasons. Overall, I think - and I agree we will have differing views on this - that much is being made of very little.
Hello Samsara and welcome to the channel. As I make clear in the episode everyone is different and we all like some things and not others. Your comments are always welcome even if they are not the same as mine. Best wishes and have a nice weekend. Carl
Carl
Yes James, there is a lot of room for improvement. The lights I have been testing are much much brighter as well, which really improves the rear visibility. More to come in a future episode. Carl
Cameras do NOT capture LED lighting accurately so its a bit tough to see in video. I have the lighting package. I love the fronts. I changed the rear lights out for Weisertechnik units that are even brighter. Also, any driver turning in front of you based solely on an indicator is an idiot and there are no devices to protect you from those.
That front light being mistaken for an indicator cements the fact that some people are spastics. No one should be pulling out unless you are physically turning into the junction.
Hi J, yes I agree. A new solution is now available which I mention in the next (Part 2) episode, and I am going to have a complete episode about the product very soon. Best wishes Carl
Don't waste your money on other BMW screens, unless you're 5'-6" or shorter. Get the Puig or Wunderlich Touring Screens and go on to quieter rides. I owned (2) GS and (2) GSAs and had to either replace the screens or add a flap on top. GS is not a good highway bike over legal speed limits and it is not its purpose. It is an all a-rounder, good at many things but not 100% on everything. So called Influencers and Magazines are never Honest with their reviews due to their affiliations with the Brands. Perks like trips to Tropical Places and stays at 5 star hotels with free meals or free loaner bikes make them act biased. How do you expect an honest review from a stranger who has alternate motives?
Hello Becker and welcome, your observations about big influencers might have a thread of truth... but there are plenty of people offering honest straightforward insight into different bikes and brands that I feel do offer a very balanced perspective. Only a very small few receive incentives or support the rest of us just tell it how it is... the good and bad. I will be experimenting with different solutions to improve the noise from the screen.. maybe I can improve it, maybe not. But I will have go. Andy - Missenden Flyer provides great honest insight so does the Micheal from the MCN team, too name just 2. Best wishes Carl
Hi Vic, I have not experienced this, perhaps some of the channel subscribers have, I’m sure if they have someone will post a reply. But there is nothing I can think of directly under the front edge of the rider’s seat that would generate heat. Carl
Yes it's common to seat get warm in motorcycles. You can put some air hawk or some stuff on the seat to not feel the heat. Check my videos to see what I do in mine to not heat
Best!
Hi Creed and welcome to the channel and thank you for the recommendation I will check out the rear light 👌
I’ve been at work this morning (I drive HGV for RM) I was coming back from a rural office and I happen to follow a BMW GS 71 plate with the above mentioned ‘light pack’ I thourght the rear lights inc the middle tail light combination were excellent (rider had his lights on)
However as he braked to turn off the main road the amber indicator pretty much disappeared amongst the red output of ‘light and brake’ if that makes sense.
Have you ordered your bicycle yet 👍
Unfortunately not yet. I need to sell my Ducati first.
Well enjoy your season in the summer while your waiting 👍
I've just bought one and have enjoyed your insight greatly. Please keep the content coming - every day is a school day!
Hello Jesse and Jay, I have a detailed review of the Michelin Anakee Adventure and Metzler Tourance II tyres coming soon.
Best wishes Carl
Yes, and I think lots of owners are intrigued to see what BMW do with the next generation. Carl
Hello to the Stenlake Family, and welcome. Thankyou for sharing, I will definitely check the denali options you have mentioned.
Thankyou Carl
I bought exactly the same bike 3 weeks ago. I’m loving it!
Hi Lockey, and welcome, i think the saying goes....Great Minds Think Alike, smile
That sounds a nice setup Adam 👍
Great video. Up to now I regretted getting a 2020 1250gs because I missed the LED multifunction lights. However, after watching your video I’m glad I did!
Hi Kevin and welcome to the channel. The 2020 bike is a great bike. The engine is the star of the show.... smile.
Best wishes Carl
Congratulations on the purchase of the bike
Hi Vids, thank you 👍
Great choice buying the GS Carl ,you won't regret it .
Thank you Alan 👍
Congrats on the purchase. I understand completely. I was set on getting the MS Pikes Peak but fell in love with the GS. Bought it with no regrets.
Hi Andrew, 👍 thank you for confirming this 🙏.
Best wishes Carl
Carl
Hello Carl!!
Can you please talk / make a video, about the premature spongy rear break issue?
Greetings from Bolivia!
Hello and welcome, yes I will add your video suggestion to my list of things to record, thank you 🙏 Carl
I pick mine up tomorrow and will look for this! Something as basic as lights and indicators should be obvious.
Hi Matthew have a great day tomorrow collecting your new bike. 👍
Hi, yes they can , some dealerships charge a small fee some dealerships are more friendly and will do this without charge.

Best wishes Carl
Thank you for the reviews. Would love to see more please.
More to come!...smile
Hi Jester, welcome. Hope you enjoy the rest of the episodes. Carl
I’ve just followed my mates 2022 GS, I love the rear lights. Having three brakes lights is excellent and undoubtedly much much safer.
Hi Paul, i agree the Brake Lights are great !!!
I am about to change mine from Anakee Adventure
Carl
👍
Hi Carl, can you make a video on connecting helmet comms (Cardo Packtalk Bold) to TFT screen, smart mobile and Navigator VI? The problem I have and I understand many others is that one cannot connect both TFT and Navigator VI at the same time. There seems to be a conflict and you need to choose between one or the other. Thanks.
Yes this is a topic that is on my list, perhaps when summer arrives I will make a video about this.
Carl
Very valuable information explained very well. Thank you very much!
Hello Motolines, and welcome to the channel. Thankyou 👍Carl
But a GS shines on less-than-ideal roads 🙂
And yes, everyone can learn new things every day, and that’s a good thing: life would be boring otherwise 😎
Hello Jester, I hope you have now enjoyed the other episodes 😊 best wishes Carl
Thanks Carl, you cost me half of paycheck every time I watch your videos 😂
Then you won’t want to watch the next one Bob, 🤔😉
Should be up next weekend
Ride safe!
Hi Andrew, I think your going to really enjoy those Road 6's....😊👍
Hi Bruce, good evening and thank-you. Carl
Congrats Carl is a beauty, on the other hand are you going to keep the Multi?
Carl
@@justthewayitis yes this will be both our longest tour on the gsa ..we have done wales back in march.. my last bike was a versys 1000 and she finds the gsa more comfortable so she will be fine we have done very long days on the versys so we should be good on the gsa..she was very happy with the choice I made with the bmw she loves it especially the heated seats .
agreed, my wife also likes the heated seat very much. Enjoy your trip..Carl
I will leave a message once it's up 👍
Hi Carl, Enjoying the series.
@@justthewayitis Thanks Carl. Look forward it. 👍🏼
@@justthewayitis look forward to this one. I hate this option , my bikes 2 weeks old and really cannot believe it cannot be programmed out .
Your going to like the next episode then.... smile. Carl
Funnily enough, I’ve been thinking about trying a standard GS screen on my GSA.
It all depends on your height, but it’s worth trying, currently I’m using the small short one from WRS, and I really like it now summer is here.
Yes, it takes time to find our own individual setup. 👍
Carl
@@justthewayitis I’ll keep an eye on those rear lights . Just watched the video again on the rear lights . Ride safe 😊
Thank you 👍
@@justthewayitis Of course, in terms of low-down torque the GS outshines them all. The GS is the diesel SUV of the motorbiking world.
Smile.

Why didn't u give that bike back & order 1 without the lighting issues?👍👍
Hi Ricardo, good question… I had already bonded with the bike and sort of new she was going to stay. Never thought that when I started as I Was a Multistrada guy 100%.
Congrats! 🙌🏻 but now… the question is: what about the MS? 🤔 are you keeping both?
Hi Lionel, that’s the interesting question….i just don’t know yet. Carl
It’s not an easy choice
If you can wait, when the new gs1300 comes out the 21 bike prices will fall
Let me know what you decide to purchase, best wishes Carl
Ps the 2018/9 bikes are very very good👍
@@justthewayitis Thank you so much for your response. I dont really ride much at night, mostly day trips to minimise the risks but those head lights do look amazing. As we all know the choice of motorcyle is not just rational but also very emotional hehe.

Have a good weekend.
Then enjoying looking and deciding it’s a big decision so it’s important to make the right choice 👍
Hello Carl,
My GS does have cruising front indicator lights, however as technical guy in dealer said he can activate this function in the software. May I ask you if it is possible and safe for the bike?
Thank You,
Vinh
Hi Vinhn, yes the BMW dealer can turn this function On or Off using software, some dealerships charge for this service and some will do it for free.
I personally don’t like them so that why I installed the Weiser-Tech lights front and rear on my GS.
You can see the before and after effects by watching my Weiser-Tech light videos.

I have a 2022 R1250 with no heated seats. Can i retrofit one on? Because heats seats are options like the alarm system I know anything in a package can not be retro fited
Hi I’ve not tried that but you could ask your local dealership if it’s possible
Yes the multi function for the indicators can be removed. I offer custom coding for these bikes.
Hi Benny, Geoff mentioned you can do this. Thankyou for sharing this option.
Where are you based ?
@@justthewayitis im based in Australia. But i can do it remotely.

Hi Ronny, then you are a lucky gs owner as you do not have the confusion with the rear lights we have here in Europe.

Carl 👍
Oh... and I got them from a company here in Germany - Voigt MT.
Are the amber daylight running lights legal in Uk I understand that amber lights in the front are illegal in uk apart from indicators
Hi Clive that's a good question, perhaps one of the UK subscribers can answer this for you. Carl
Hi Carl, is this the last video on the Gs now?
Hi Mark, no, it’s really just the beginning. In tonight’s video (part - 6) I share that the GS is now staying and the series will continue, and I outline what is coming up over the next few episodes.
Kind Regards, Carl
awesome vid mate , i bought the 2021 GS Rallye and yes i have had cars pulling out on me as well , it does give you that butt puckering moment , but it is the best motorcycle you can buy and im glad i bought it , cheers :-)
Hello Garth and welcome to the channel. Glad you are enjoying the episodes.. best wishes Carl
I thought there used to be a law that indicators and brake lights should be kept separate?? cars for sure. Not sure why you would want your GS to look like a Harley with cruise lights, I think BMW have looked at a problem that didn't need looking at!
Agreed. Their was no problem to fix.
I had the opportunity to test a GS the other day and like you I was so surprised.
Carl
@@justthewayitis
I guess that's true.
Hi Thilo and Torbs , this would be the better solution as Torbs has said…
wait a while before buying the new gs1300.
Visit your dealership now and see what stock of the 1250 is available
Carl
Hallo Torbs, hast du etwas über den Telelever gehört? Mir wurde gesagt, dass er nicht am neuen GS ist, aber die Bilder, die ich gesehen habe, zeigen den Telelever, Carl
Are you familiar with the Bimmercode software? @justthewayitis
I have a BMW f750gs and I can turn on/off the cruising lights by editing the coding for tns_CruiseLightFunc_Active.
There are additional options to select only front or rear, or to activate them only after a speed threshold.
It's not like I don't trust the dealer but I have to say all of the dealers in my area do not want to do any coding work on my bike and they say that all my requests are just not possible.
Hi, that’s really interesting I will check Bimmercode out, 👍
Wow, i never pull out, as a biker or a car driver, until i see the vehicle actually slowing down and turning, if im waiting a junction, and i see a vehicle indicating to turn, i always think, wait, that indicator might have been accidentally activated.
If only all road user took this approach it would be better place. Carl
I hope you are otherwise enjoying your new bike.... congratulations. carl
@@justthewayitis thanks Carl, hopefully they won’t charge me. But I can’t justify over £400 on the Weiser system to replace them just yet.
I really enjoy them👍
Hi Søren, welcome and thank you, yes I have heard good things about the larger screen, so I hope to try that soon, thankyou for reminding me 👍
Best wishes Carl
Carl
@@justthewayitis I think in my response I acknowledged this. Best.
Carl
I have seen the rear indicator/ dual use issue first hand, its bad., almost completely indiscernible. 😳
Yes James, there is a lot of room for improvement. The lights I have been testing are much much brighter as well, which really improves the rear visibility. More to come in a future episode. Carl
I find my anbakees fine even from cold
That will be the amazing Silica compounds.... that work in low temps
Hi 747, and welcome to the channel, totally agree about the poor drivers, I'll be sure to check out those rear lights, thankyou. Carl
@@justthewayitis They make units for the front and rear. I have them on my K1300S also. Great stuff.
Thank you, I will have a look. Carl
keep it
👍
@Just The Way It Is especially if it makes you happy 😊
Yes indeed 🤞
They borrowed you this bike because you are famous UA-camr or it is common in Germany?
No no... I am not famous....just a normal guy who enjoys making this series.
That front light being mistaken for an indicator cements the fact that some people are spastics. No one should be pulling out unless you are physically turning into the junction.
Hi Stephen and welcome....😊
This happens when people design things to be cool/clever, instead of functional.
Hi J, yes I agree. A new solution is now available which I mention in the next (Part 2) episode, and I am going to have a complete episode about the product very soon. Best wishes Carl
Those lights sucks, that's why I am happy with my 2016 model, less weight also
Hello MotoQ, thank you for sharing, are you talking about the indicators?
@@justthewayitis yes , the indicator is to indicate
Hello MotoQ.
I have a new indicator product on test at the moment. I will have an episode about them soon.
Carl
I appreciate the thoroughness of your reviews. Congratulations on the purchase. I too just picked up a 2022 GSA and am adding bits and pieces to make her mine. Quick question, I have experienced the front of the rider seat getting a bit warm (not a heated seat), anyone else experienced this? Bike is a week old.
