Update: I bought this mower, and totally appreciate this review as it helped me make the plunge to electric. I love the mulching feature and the smaller footprint for storage in my garage. I need to learn how to keep the rear wheels from churning when I'm trying to turn to go in the other direction. Maybe use that speed controller when turning. Thanks guys. You guys have a gift.

They also have the similar Craftsman version for under $200. They are in store clearance only and don't show up online. Just wanted to check youtube reviews before picking one up. Seems like a great deal.

I have the same mower but without the self propelled option. It is way lighter then a gas lawn mower, even with the steel deck. Wife, kids and myself all agree it doesn't even need the self propelled option. Also, the 8" wheels make it pretty easy as well.

Mine is the MO60L00 model that has the 4 mAh battery pack and is not self propelled. I have had mine for the past 3 years and it still works great! Still looks and runs like new. Battery only last about 45 mins know but other then that no complaints what so ever! Wife and kids love it too since it's alot easier for them to use if I'm not around and it's better for the environment.
Absolutely no issues with the mower, and I mow in a week what you would In a whole year🤪 the other tools in the 60v lineup are also fantastic which is a huge thing to note when looking into battery powered tools.

20 minutes for over 6,000 square feet! That's pretty good! I'm still holding onto my 12 year old Craftsman 42 riding mower, my front yard is around 10,000 square feet and back yard around 6,000. I like the price of the Greenworks but wish they had a 7.5a battery for longer run time.
Hey,I will be repetitive and also say "nice review video". I am having issues with the mower not starting after being run into a gully type area. Have you had this issue yet? Have you taken apart the power lockout box or remove the base where the battery is located? If so, how does it come off?
I have run it into areas like that and found the mud gets between the wheels and the cover plate which caused an annoying noise. Never had it stop running. I also have never removed the power lockout or base as I am not knowledgeable on the electronics and components within the machine.

No. I’ve hit 2 rocks. First one was big and the motor shut off automatically and the second rock got sucked under the deck and cut a few times before I let go of the safety handle.

Many other variables affect the battery life. Biggest being what type of lawn and how tall it is, also if it is damp or dry. Hard to guess if it will work for your particular case.
I also sometimes mow at night; however, I use a powerful headlamp (LED Lenser). That allows me to use whatever tools I want. I think that's a better option.
It stopped working. I took the casing apart. There are springs inside. I was not able to put it together again. No schematic available. Mine is not self propelled.
padanky I bought the blower last season and love it. Bought the weed eater last week and love it! Giving my neighbor my gas mower and buying this mower this week!
I watch this video again, for me it is quiet bad 5Ah in 20 minutes epmpty on flat low grass (maybe thick but low) and the higest level on mower ... What runing time the seller claims ? What about runtime the battery in 3 - 4 years later ... 15 .. 10 minutes for lots of many. It will make sense when the price of batteries will much more lower.
I have the exact same mower but without the self propelled option. I have had it 3 years now and I am still using the original battery. Mine last 45 mins. Mine is the 60v 4 mAh battery. When this one gets worse then I will upgrade to a newer and better battery.
I think it’s more important to look at the area that was mowed rather than the time, then you can see if it will work for your lawn. The batteries loose very little charge capacity over the years. I do agree that the price of batteries needs to come down a little to make it more affordable for many people.

I love my Greenworks 60 volt lawn mower. Was not aware the self-propelled when was coming out soon but that doesn't matter it pushes really good.

just bought the self propelled 80 volt and it works great. has variable speed steel deck built well..very happy with my purchase

I try not to as it clogs up the deck and puts a lot of stress on the mower, but sometimes the grass just needs to get cut no matter how wet.

I was always hoping for that to. But I also have 4 other tools in the 60v lineup which all came with a battery so now I can mow for hours!
Just slow down and that will take care of the issue of clumping grass ...Neat mower

It’s the debris flap that comes from the factory installed. Leaves very nice stripes.

I️ believe it’s 2-3 hours to charge the battery if it is fully dead
Ya I should of did more research and seen the 60volt, l ended up with the 40volt with two batteries it works for me.

Not having headlights is a big negative for me. I have an Ego self propelled that I mow almost exclusively at night due to hot summers in st louis
I also sometimes mow at night; however, I use a powerful headlamp (LED Lenser). That allows me to use whatever tools I want. I think that's a better option.
I have really bright bulbs in my outdoor lights and i find that i don't need any extra light to mow at night.

Brand new Greenworks 60 v mower, fully charged battery, no start.
Is the red key pushed in where you installed the battery pack?
If so. Then you need to push and hold start button down while you pull the top lever in and then release the start button.
Now I just need my gas mower to break. I already have the Greenworks leaf blower and weed eater.
