I love mine . I just got it yesterday set it all up . But it was not cutting .SO I figured You'd show how to start it, And yes I was pulling the lever first, hahaha My neighbor seen me said this seems much easy for you to mow. Yes is is easier and not only save money on not buying gas and paying someone to mow my yard, I actually love it and enjoy it even at my age, women I encourage you all to try this,. It actually gives me a reason to walk at my pace and mow. And its not loud at all
That's the thing with greenworks you push the button in first and hold it, then pull the handle back. It took me a long time to figure that out because it backwards from all the other mowers. Hope that helps.
Bought this brand self-propelled mower for $251.00 which was half off on clearance but hated it so I returned it. It was a Lowe's exclusive with room for two batteries. I loved the fact that height adjustment is very easy and it mowed fine as long as I did not have to turn it. It mulched fine. It comes with one battery. The box claimed it would cut an acre with up to 60 minutes cutting time but in order to do that you have to buy the extra battery at $140. The single battery lasted 17 minutes if I put it less than half speed. It cut for 25 minutes with the self-propelled featured turned off. I was only able to cut a small section of yard and nowhere near 1/2 acre much less a full acre. It cut approx 1/10 th of an acre at best. I recharged the battery twice to make sure. I was very disappointed. It is rear wheel drive which means you have to fight and strain against that to make a sharp turn or disengage the self-propel and the same to back up. I purchased a decent front wheel drive self-propelled gas mower and paid full price instead. Now I can rear it up on the back wheel in a corner in order to walk backwards and then simply put the wheels down to go forward again. There are no issues with making tight turns and I am way happier with this front wheel driven mower that I do not have to hassle with waiting to charge batteries to use.
Oh man that sucks, I really like mine and I can mow for a long time, The 1st time I cut my grass it was about 9" long it only lasted about 20 to 25 minute, But now That it's a normal 4 to 5" I can mow the hole yard and still have 2 bars left, and I use the self propel the hole time because I have big hills. I have the older one, so I dont know how good the new one is???
@@Impact-OG Glad to hear yours is working out great. I bought the Pro the newest edition with a manufacturing date of August 2020 and a 60 volt battery. I was thrilled to see it on clearance sealed in the original box. I charged the battery until it showed as fully charged before testing it out for the first time. I was so bummed when it was quickly depleted. I even tried charging it twice more but the battery drained the same way. My yard is flat and easily cut. I use a riding lawn mower on most of it and really needed a good walk behind for an area fenced off with wrought iron that is a 30 x 25 ft dachshund play yard (keeps me from following him around at night and him where I can see him) plus the perimeter of a 100 x 150 ft yard. I was able to cut the small play yard plus an area to the left of it but only made it down the front of the perimeter when the battery died. I thought it would also be good if my riding mower was temporarily down and I needed to cut the grass but with such a short cutting time it would have taken days of cutting and charging even if I had bought a second battery. A friend of mine has the GreenWorx battery non self-propelled mower and weed eater and just loves hers. Her house takes up most of her small yard but it gets the job done. Maybe the battery was defective. Oh well..maybe I will try it again some day. Best of luck with yours!
I have had a push Greenworks mower for years, still on the job and holding up. It is slightly heavier than my 58v Echo push, because Echo uses composite ABS for its frame instead of steel. So at highest setting, Echo will cut higher than the Greenworks mower and it is easier to pick up and also has an integral handle on frame. OTOH a recycled Greenworks 60v 4aH battery is half the price of an Echo rebuilt battery, and it's made in Mooresville, NC factory. I'd like to see a lighter frame for Greenworks mowers, since loading and handling for bringing to landscaping work sites are part of my business.
Two observations I would have like to see it go up the hill cutting 6" high grass and secondly , if the engineers had use a spring loaded cam action to release for the fold up anyone one could do it one release at a time, I want to see a little lady fold it up like its current design. Thanks for your video.
It go's up hill very well and It does cut 5-8 inch grass very easily I do it all the time. As for the fold up spring loaded thing, its just 2 little tabs you pull out its very easy!!!!! Like I said this is my favorite mower of all times to date! I mow my yard every week with it. thanks for watching :)
Oh man good deal, you will way more, as long as your grass is under 5 inches you should get a good 40 min on a 5.0ah battery. When my grass is at its normal level I can do both front and back, with the self propel on 90 percent of the time, and use only 2 bars. Thanks for watching
I’ve gotten 35 minutes mowing time and had battery left. I’m happy with it.I’ve bought the string trimmer for $132 on blow out and bought the leaf blower yesterday.
Oof. This mower, *with* the 5.0AH battery, is currently $239.40 at Lowe's ... on clearance. I think the 60-volt system is a Lowe's exclusive, so I don't know if that's coming to an end or what. (I've had the non-self-propelled version of this mower for two years, plus the string trimmer and leaf blower, so I've sunk quite a bit into the 60-volt system, too.)
Making Stuff and Breaking Stuff with Al What’s weird is that not all the tools are on clearance. Maybe they’re just updating certain tools. (Maybe they can do a retroactive price match for you if it hasn’t been too long.) I’m tempted to buy the clearance item just for the jumbo battery. Those are nearly $200 by themselves.
Do you have the new mower or the older Gen # 1 mower like I have, because mine doesn't have anything there?? are you talking about the Red safety key??
Yes it is it's 4999 at Home Depot, it's a must to have a fan when you're doing the yard when it's 95 degrees out with 85% humidity you got to do it, thanks for watching
I'm holding the box in the picture, and no its not hard, its mostly together in the box maybe 2 snap pins i think, and it will probably hang out of your trunk, just strap it down and will be good to go.
I bought the Ego this week and shoved the whole box in a sub-compact Chevy Spark. It has a bigger box than this mower. Tho, it wasn’t the most comfortable trip home for 30 miles.
Was the fan on the mower to keep you cool, or does the battery run hot enough that you was cooling it? I have heard different people say the Dewalt mower has battery overheating issues and runs longer if you put a fan on it.
It was to cool me off, Its been super hot here in MN around 89 degrees with 70-80 percent humidity, I have never had any heat issues with the greenworks battery's. Because there is space around the cells that's why the housing is so big.
I got mine on sale at lowes with the 5 amp battery and charger $239.40 and I had a 10 percent off coupon for lowes I got on ebay so I got another $23.94 off so total was 215.46 with out tax it was a great deal and I love the mower
@@Impact-OG Man, I wish I could mow the yard below 90 with only 80 percent humidity in August. In Alabama, that's just early June. And humidity in Huntsville is usually about 500%. Feels more like swimming than walking. I expect to move to Colorado or somewhere else cooler in the next few years, though.

Al thanks for the great video, I was going to buy the Toro 60V mower (MN Co.) but the Green works is over $100 cheaper for the same similar feature it seems.
