Such an interesting result for Varivas Shore Master to perform so poorly. I personally use the Varivas Avani Casting Max Power PE which is similar but different to the Shore Master used in this test. Had amazing real life results with the Max Power version. Supple and takes a lot of strength for me to break when i get snagged. Even the abrasion resistance was pretty good and held well when i was pulling in a 10kg mulloway off the rocks. Would be awesome to see the Casting Max Power PE test.
Very Good content! Congratz to your channel ! I have been used Kastking Mega 8 from alliexpress for many years. Its the best budget PE line i have found at 15lbs . Thanks
I waiting for this vids, and its a clear winner here, but the number 1 list varivas high grade type II are old model and not available, they said it's been replaced by varivas 8. Is it true? It's too bad tho, have you tested the new varivas 8?
I wasn't aware that the High Grade was discontinued, it's still listed on their site and it appears to be available for purchase from various places. Saying that, I haven't tested the Varivas 8 as yet but definitely keen to.
imagine the price of these varivas braid and you get shit results? Total ripoff id rather buy those cheap china braid for a fraction of the price and get better results. Thank you for the test ill stay away from these overpriced varivas🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for your help. I cancelled my order and decided to stick with Sunline Siglon X8.

Which line size did u get. I want to get the PE 1.2 but can't find any, I might choose with PE 1. Would this be too light for fishing off the rocks?
@@justinlay9229 I got the PE3. You can find plenty of JDM stock at a low price at Digitaka.
Just shows how consistency is key when choosing a braid/brand...
Thanks

I have some of the Mega 8 here to test actually so I will be interested to see how it goes.
I wonder what the variance is across batches of the same line. Coming under the breaking strain is inexcusable.
Super!
Спасибо!!

No better than the cheap Chinese braid I buy
Based on the max breaking strain to diameter ratio yes I agree. It seems very odd, I am wondering if I got a bad batch or something.

Thanks! This particular Varivas didn't test great at all, but their High Grade PE is sitting at No 1 so it seems a bit hit and miss.
Would you say it casts better, or is it completely just a miss?
Hard to know for sure as I haven't used it, but logic would say it should be very similar to their other braids from a casting perspective.
