Thanks for all the hard work team, much appreciated. In a field that seems to have accepted straight up lying as the default practice, the true data on these lines is invaluable.
I'm a snakehead hunter and my favourite braids are Sufix 832 and Varivas 8. Those brands are very strong and can pull the snakehead out of the heavy vegetation easily.
Maybe Zukibo Fireline gets softer with repeated casting, like Berkley Fireline, which is super wiery in the start, but gets super soft with usage. Please consider less intense music in your future videos, thank you in advance.
From my experience in manufacturing, you should probably rate brands as well. For instance, a mediocre brand might change their nozzles once a month and the stuff they produce on the first day of usage can be absolute top tier premium grade. But the stuff produced on the last day before the essential parts are changed again, can be hot garbage. Brands aiming to be high end will simply put have a higher maintenance frequency and less variation over time. This can go a long way in explaining why some brands test incredibly well, only to have bad user reviews at a later time.
yes i understand your point but i am not sure how i would rate them. how do i know if i get a good or bad batch for line? what criteria should i use? Simply rate on line accuracy (ie: it is what they say it is?) which i doubt will work as thats really only rating their marketing department, not their actual line. its a tricky one.
My understanding - and i am not an expert - is that the fibres are generally created using a "gel spun" method. Kind of like how fairy-floss (cotton candy maybe if your in the US?) is created so i am unsure if there is a nozzle used that is the size of the individual fibres, which are ridiculously thin. I guess there is a nozzle somewhere along the line but not sure if its super relevant to the final product.
@@thelinelaboratory It's not something you can rate on a case by case basis, All I'm saying is that when something seems way too good to be true, it probably is. And in the case of "miracle lines for cheap", I think those will in most bases be based on flukes. And it's not like you can really rate the manufacturer either, because some will focus exclusively on high end lines (and thus rate good) while others produce both extreme high end and very low end products under the same brand. But rating accuracy would be good. And quite frankly, when you buy line from a cheap brand it might be that the line you're testing isn't even from the same factory as the line they put in the same box the next week.
The ZUKIBO FIRE line sold on Aliexpress in the official ZUKIBO store is not the same one you used or the one they sent you for testin. The two spools of line that were sent to me are of a type of line that is not round and feels very rough. I already checked it and it is not the same line. It was because of y our review that I bought this line and they scammed me. I am very disappointed with ZUKIBO for what they did to me 😡
I'm not sure I agree. I have been in constant contact with the official store and they are the ones that send it to me for analysis, with some more on the way. That point aside I have heard the concerns on the line and I will follow it up with them as best I can. Anybody that is complaining about the quality are welcome to send it to me for a comparison. I really can't offer any input until I can see the issue first hand.
@@thelinelaboratory If you are in the United States I can send you the reels for you to analyze. They are not used because once I noticed that it was not a round line I knew immediately that I had been scammed.
@ctious even calipers struggle to measure braid with any accuracy. Mono is fine, but calipers will almost always crush it with any pressure but honestly it's the best or only option when your out shopping.
@@ctious actually i did that, but to be honest caliper isn't a very good way to measure braid, it'll flatten when you measure, you can wrap it a few round around the caliper to get an average diameter, but the reading will still be quite hard to use as it doesn't line up with the spool line capacity by the reel manufacturer, for example it say 0.35mm-100m at the side of the spool, it will be accurate for mono line but in my experience, a pe line you measure to be 0.35mm will not fit 100m in the spool

Thanks a lot Mate!

Great work, legend. Much appreciated.
Thanks mate for your efforts!
Thanks for the video. Happy New Year!
I hope you'll test the UL cord :Duel The One

great job!
but why would you play that annoying, ugly 4-tone noise all along? (or is that "music"...?)

Could you please test Varivas Avani Saltwater Finesse PE X8 ?
We have tested it already in PE0.3. Results are on the Braid Summary page on the website.

As someone with experience in tje sector, what 50 pound x8 or above line would you recommend?
What kind of material are those nozzles made from, ceramic?

Maybe you could make rates by diametar...for exame PE 1.0 the best is...., for PE 2.0 best is...

Order some yourself so they dont select the best batch or something, its not expensive aswell @@thelinelaboratory

Really they all broke at the actual dia/ to break. I am convinced all braids are pretty much the same these days. Buy by dia not by rating lbs.
the diameter rating isn't accurate at all by the manufacturer
@lansiman exactly, can't use that for most brands in order to pick the right line.
@lansiman that's why I bring a caliper with me to get line. Heck I have even had same rated spools be different dia with the same company.
