I loved the look of my previous shrimp setup so much that I decided to make another one. Again, a really simple design that will showcase the shrimp but also fun and interesting to look at. Crazy simple as well so others can have a go at it :)

You always make some of the best living art MD. Thank you for sharing. It stinks a bit that I am losing interest in the hobby of keeping fish. I will say that I still love my tanks and such, but I am totally getting into vivariums, terrariums, and paladariums. I have converted one of my old 10 gallon fish tanks into a wicked sweet isopod home. I still love my Aquatic frogs, I also will still be keeping my Betta tanks and my 40 gallon breeder. I have plans of my 20 long. Maybe some tree frogs, or bull frog and go paladarium.

Yes. I wish more fish-tubers would just put a few videos now and then or a few minutes of just watching the animals swimming around doing their thing. I know when I am able to, I plan on filming my future tanked animals. I plan on doing videos that are nothing but just showing the animals doing their thing with some peaceful music accompanying the vid.

      9 months later,
      The battle of the shrimp
      Diary entry: 1
The shrimp took over, we are hiding in our caves to hide from the shrimp, we’ve ambushed so many yet they are still coming. We can’t hold out much longer, the shrimp keep entering the cave, we can’t hold out. The mystery hand transferred us to a different tank, we’ve been repositioned at a tank with many plants, there are a couple of shrimp but we will ambush them later. The shrimp don’t really hurt us, they just come and invade.

some tips for the ketapang leaves....
    1. remove the stick in between the leave(i dont know what its called😅😅) because the stick will release some kind of oil and that oil is not good for fish.
    2. find the driest and clean leaves as possible..
    for betta keepers....
1.this is the best leaves as medicine for bettas...just this leaves is enough for the fish to be healthy and enhance the coloration..
    2. betta breeders will soak the leaves in salt water(usually for weeks)to kill any bacteria or any bad things on the leaves and after soaking the leave wash it again and use it for your fish...
thats all i know..if i said anything wrong😅😅 please kindly correct me....
dont forget to remove the stick before soaking..

Be careful of the shrimp bubbles if you have to remove them. I slice open my finger pretty bad after the suction part or the glass snapped off. If you need do remove them use some kind of razor blade, or thin blade, to release the suction of the suction cups.

@MDFishTanks I have a question... I was just wondering why you prefer to use small internal filters instead of sponge filters?
I would have thought it would be cheaper to run sponge filters in all your tanks & especially for the shrimp tanks to avoid the shrimplets getting caught in the filter. Is it because of the noise? 🤔 Just curious :)

Biofillm is key to shrimp keeping since its a new tank the babies don't get enough food to survive but don't worry just give it a few more months
