You always make some of the best living art MD. Thank you for sharing. It stinks a bit that I am losing interest in the hobby of keeping fish. I will say that I still love my tanks and such, but I am totally getting into vivariums, terrariums, and paladariums. I have converted one of my old 10 gallon fish tanks into a wicked sweet isopod home. I still love my Aquatic frogs, I also will still be keeping my Betta tanks and my 40 gallon breeder. I have plans of my 20 long. Maybe some tree frogs, or bull frog and go paladarium.
Omggg!!! Idk if u saw my original comment I was the one that suggested to do a shrimp shirt like that!!! I'm so getting one! I screamed when I saw it!!
Yes. I wish more fish-tubers would just put a few videos now and then or a few minutes of just watching the animals swimming around doing their thing. I know when I am able to, I plan on filming my future tanked animals. I plan on doing videos that are nothing but just showing the animals doing their thing with some peaceful music accompanying the vid.
I was watching MD before he even had his little shed in the garden, now I'm hearing people I work with that are new to aquariums and fish keeping etc mention "I seen MD do this". Simple yet effective tanks. You tube loves you MD.
you’re a bloody legend for doing research first, you made this comment 6 months ago so i hope since then you’ve enjoyed your time and spanned your knowledge in the hobby!!
9 months later, The battle of the shrimp Diary entry: 1 The shrimp took over, we are hiding in our caves to hide from the shrimp, we’ve ambushed so many yet they are still coming. We can’t hold out much longer, the shrimp keep entering the cave, we can’t hold out. The mystery hand transferred us to a different tank, we’ve been repositioned at a tank with many plants, there are a couple of shrimp but we will ambush them later. The shrimp don’t really hurt us, they just come and invade.
Hey MD, I’d love to see a video about your planning process for new tanks, how you plan out your new builds from start to finish and deciding what plants you’ll use and how you come up with stocking and whatnot. Love your channel, cheers!
Just to let you know that I have watch most of your video and I am now happy because I followed each step and now my shrimp reproduce, and I dont have the best looking tank or anything but It's cool to see them grow !
Hi there, I found your channel 2 days ago and I haven't stopped watching. Thank you so much for what you do. You inspired me to re-scape my aquarium and it turned out beautiful. I'm so happy with it I can't stop staring!
I got one 75 gallon a 2 month ago… it was then that I found this channel, I now have a 40 breeder 20 high and a little 10g for plant overstock and shrimp
some tips for the ketapang leaves.... 1. remove the stick in between the leave(i dont know what its called😅😅) because the stick will release some kind of oil and that oil is not good for fish. 2. find the driest and clean leaves as possible.. for betta keepers.... 1.this is the best leaves as medicine for bettas...just this leaves is enough for the fish to be healthy and enhance the coloration.. 2. betta breeders will soak the leaves in salt water(usually for weeks)to kill any bacteria or any bad things on the leaves and after soaking the leave wash it again and use it for your fish... thats all i know..if i said anything wrong😅😅 please kindly correct me.... dont forget to remove the stick before soaking..
After setting up my 13 gallon shrimp tank and realising how amazing they were, I often have wished my 75 gallon was shrimp/snails only, lol. One day, I'll get another and set it up like that. They're SO fun to watch 🥰
Would you reach out when you get a chance? Not sure how long ago this was filmed, yet I'd love to get advice on my 75 gallon. Matt and you make me smile these days. When not much does. Thank you brother.
Be careful of the shrimp bubbles if you have to remove them. I slice open my finger pretty bad after the suction part or the glass snapped off. If you need do remove them use some kind of razor blade, or thin blade, to release the suction of the suction cups.
I love that you like to try new things and learn different ways of doing things. I’ve learned a lot. Anyway, I remember an earlier video where you talked about how you put together the hose to fill your tanks. Can you or anyone else who might know link to that video, or maybe talk about it again, please?
Love the tank and all your other works as well. Would a setup like this work for a betta as well? Used to have one years back and would really like to keep one again. A clean and simple setup like this would really make them shine.
I tried to breed my neocaridina in a bin today. Straightforward setup, no light (container covered with black plastic to avoid lizard/cockroach) and no filter. I also put some moss balls, moss, driftwood, a couple of boraras brigittae(to eat the mosquito larvae) and frogbit. In your opinion, will they survive?
Omg the black water tank 😳 I looove your builds!! Id like to know which plants are your favourite for each placement in the tank, background, foreground, depending on how well they do with lower tech tanks. You have a great eye for details n it makes me appreciate these videos a lot! :)

Much love MD!!!
I'm gonna need you to come help me set up my shrimp tank ☺
I Literally love that you have been making shrimp tanks. So addictive
I love how you let us just watch the tank at the end and the time lapse was amazing!
Yes. I wish more fish-tubers would just put a few videos now and then or a few minutes of just watching the animals swimming around doing their thing. I LOVE the look of the neon cardinals in the blackwater! Their neon blue strip just POPS!
I'm still in the research stage and I can't thank you enough for your advice and recommendations.
I also would like to take my hats off for your very creative and artistic style. Astonishingly visual, but yet simplistic and neat.
you’re a bloody legend for doing research first, you made this comment 6 months ago so i hope since then you’ve enjoyed your time and spanned your knowledge in the hobby!!
My most succesful (so far) cherry shrimp tank came from this video's tips! Thanks MD!
Mans just going crazy with the shrimp builds😂, great videos MD love them🦐
I think at this point the channel name should be changed to “MD Shrimp Tanks” 😂😂😂
The shrimps are taking over.
9 months later,
The battle of the shrimp
Diary entry: 1
The shrimp took over, we are hiding in our caves to hide from the shrimp, we’ve ambushed so many yet they are still coming.
Even with all of the other fancy shrimps available, I still find high grade red cherry shrimp to be the best looking ones.
Still my favorite, too. I think the other colors are pretty, but the really rich cherry reds are my favorite.
It turned out perfectly, the hand of a professional is felt.
those orange rili are gorgeous.
Here for the shrimp
Stay for the accent.
😊

"Together like bread and butter" :P
Shrimp tank videos are my favorite, thank you!!
I never thought that much about shrimp but you have made me very aware and now a collector.😂
Simple, yet beautiful. The alder cones are a great touch.
Loving all the differring styles of shrimp tanks. Do more! Do more!!
👍❤👍
Shrimp hoodie has to be my favourite!
I love the timelapse of the snail climbing the mountain
I sure do appreciate the fact MD mixes up the music and doesn't use the same stock audio every other UA-camr uses for all the music.
yes! Timelapse to see how it progresses over days and grows is amazing
Looks great. Do a mixed species stiphodon goby colony in a river tank next!
Shrimp tanks are so fun! Thank you for all the great videos, been watching a long time and plan to start my first nano shrimp tank soon.
And we’re ‘beautiful’ once more…you legend.
Just to let you know that I have watch most of your video and I am now happy because I followed each step and now my shrimp reproduce, and I dont have the best looking tank or anything but It's cool to see them grow !
I love it! ❤️ i really enjoyed the time lapse at the end. The snails looked like they were in stop motion
I definitely keep shrimp and snails together. They benefit from being together. Great video 👍
Beautiful. Rocks look like a volcano.
Hi there, I found your channel 2 days ago and I haven't stopped watching. Thank you so much for what you do. You inspired me to re-scape my aquarium and it turned out beautiful. I'm so happy with it I can't stop staring!
Md - Your probably not gonna have a rack in the middle of your room
Me - looks anxiously at the rack in the middle of my bedroom
I got one 75 gallon a 2 month ago… it was then that I found this channel, I now have a 40 breeder 20 high and a little 10g for plant overstock and shrimp
"If you didn't know, would you know?" Good question sir 🤔
some tips for the ketapang leaves....
1. remove the stick in between the leave(i dont know what its called😅😅) because the stick will release some kind of oil and that oil is not good for fish.
2. find the driest and clean leaves as possible..
for betta keepers....
1.this is the best leaves as medicine for bettas...just this leaves is enough for the fish to be healthy and enhance the coloration..
2. betta breeders will soak the leaves in salt water(usually for weeks)to kill any bacteria or any bad things on the leaves and after soaking the leave wash it again and use it for your fish...
thats all i know..if i said anything wrong😅😅 please kindly correct me....
dont forget to remove the stick before soaking..
the stick is called a stem. and yes you're correct.
@@rgilroy1909 thanks Riley
@@rgilroy1909 I thought the stick before the leaves is stem.. But i don't know that that thing is also called stem
500K, you deserve it MD, congratulations!
Anyone else see a hawk or bird face in that largest rock? Cool scape!!
The big rock looks like a hawk. Beautiful simple tank, the reds look amazing in there. Take care.
New to the channel. Found it while relaxing and cleaning. Now I have been watching for hours. Beautiful and got a future hobby idea.
Loving the shrimp tanks!!! I also need the new merch... love the really shrimp 😂
It's a beautiful tank. I would sure love to have this tank!
Bring The Lights closer !! For the neon thank !
Goes together like peas and carrots!
That’s the one I want to build. Just a simple shrimp tank.
looking good, simple yet perfect for the shrimpies
Had to have a shrimp t shirt..I absolutely love my crop corydora hoodie...so awesome
Looking head on to the largest rock, it looks like a eagle/hawk head. How cool! Great work as always MD!
Md I waged to say much if an inspiration you arv too m and have inspire me to to better with my tanks. Surviving is not thriving
LOve these tanks. Very good for small spaces. Thanks for all the info and ths links to the equipment.
I hope to one day see an aquarium youtuber make like a 50gal setup and fill it with nothing but shrimp.
A vast kingdom for our littlest dudes.
After setting up my 13 gallon shrimp tank and realising how amazing they were, I often have wished my 75 gallon was shrimp/snails only, lol. One day, I'll get another and set it up like that. They're SO fun to watch 🥰
MD, use some Mulberry leaves for the Shrimp. they go nuts over it.
I tend to use the bubbles for my betta fish to rest in half in the water and half out
Binge watching MD!
Just found this channel. Excellent content. Binge watching now. I'm inspired to get back into the hobby!
I love that you like to try new things and learn different ways of doing things. I’ve learned a lot.
Anyway, I remember an earlier video where you talked about how you put together the hose to fill your tanks. Can you or anyone else who might know link to that video, or maybe talk about it again, please?
Really?! Really? reili shrimp merch, that's epic 🤣🤣🦐🦐🦐
"Not really gonna have a rack in your room, are you?"
Side eyes my 2m high giant black fish rack in the kitchen...
Can I ask what filter for shrimp tanks? They look absolutely gorgeous x
Sponge filters are great in shrimp tanks 😊
he does 50% water change every day...
Omg the really shrimp merch is so funny, I honestly love the style of your merch, I got the cory hoodie and its so cozy and cute!
good video man I loved it ! :D
Mr MD, again a very beautiful litte tank, congratulations! love your videos and your style - keep on scaping!
Love, Love, LOVE the new sweater. I hope they stay in stock long enough for me to grab one.
Not MD becoming obsessed with shrimp 😭
Love it MD !!! Pea's n a Pod 💚💙
Love the tank and all your other works as well. Would a setup like this work for a betta as well? Used to have one years back and would really like to keep one again. A clean and simple setup like this would really make them shine.
Those mineral rocks are a porous rock so those are just air bubbles being replaced with water. Not harmful to shrimp or fish 🙂
Just a quick one ever thought of using ceramic balls as a media
I tried to breed my neocaridina in a bin today. Straightforward setup, no light (container covered with black plastic to avoid lizard/cockroach) and no filter. I also put some moss balls, moss, driftwood, a couple of boraras brigittae(to eat the mosquito larvae) and frogbit. In your opinion, will they survive?
Nice shrimp tank! ❤️ May I check what is the size of the tank?
Amazing work. Humans destroy beautiful nature and at the same time humans create amazing masterpieces like this. Love ur content
Lovely project. What did you say the little cloverleaf plant was called please?
I have a tonne of ramshorns if you want them 😫. Can’t stop them breeding!
i've been binge watching
What was the first layer of substrate you used? Below the aqua soil. Cheers!
Loving the minimalist scapes!
Omg the black water tank 😳 I looove your builds!! Id like to know which plants are your favourite for each placement in the tank, background, foreground, depending on how well they do with lower tech tanks. You have a great eye for details n it makes me appreciate these videos a lot! :)
Maybe it would be fun to make a crab tank or paludarium! Crabs have a lot of personality and interesting behaviour!
I like your food pipeline.
Could I please live with you, like damn I want to see those tanks in person 😭😭
Love you videos can you please do a fishtoom tour and show all your fish
Loving your channel, great videos as always.
i noticed how wide those slits on the suctions for the water filter are. wouldnt newborn baby spring get sucked into the filter with new barriers?
Your tanks are always amazing 👍
lol the way you pronounce plant names always gets me
you have to make a terrarium !!!😁😃😃
Came across ur channel and I’m gonna buy a big bowl and get a shrimp tank going , keep it up
Love the new hoodie!!
You better name your channel md shrimp tanks
alterigooo go go go
Pity things are so expensive in Australia. It would cost 100's jut for hair grass alone. Aqua soil over $30 plus shipping
So many babies going missing in them filters brother 😬😅
Amazing fish tank continue doing more!!!🎉
Nice scape MD. Inspiring as always
@MDFishTanks I have a question... I was just wondering why you prefer to use small internal filters instead of sponge filters?
I would have thought it would be cheaper to run sponge filters in all your tanks & especially for the shrimp tanks to avoid the shrimplets getting caught in the filter. Is it because of the noise? 🤔 Just curious :)
Love, Love, Love the Scape 🥰
Absolutely love this ….. well done
Biofillm is key to shrimp keeping since its a new tank the babies don't get enough food to survive but don't worry just give it a few more months
amazing setup for shrimps
Great tank. What is the dish thing called you’ve put in there?
Where can I order live plants ? With no snails ? Also can you do a detailed video about how you care for plants
Simple and beautiful ❤️
