- just for fun, because i'm absolutely vibrating with excitement about the UK tour. all fanart shown in the video is my own because i got nervous about using anyone else's and also wanted to get this done quickly.

i have done spongebob twice now, first as patrick and then as krabs. both times the costumes were basically exact replicas of the broadway production. we did get a bit creative for patrick; i have super dense and curly hair so we pulled it up into a bun on the very top of my head to give it the cone shape and spray dyed it pink but other than that it was the same besides some glasses (because i’m blind) and an overload of glittery makeup and sparkly star shaped earrings (because of course). thankfully for mr. krabs they didn’t make me dye anything red (i was pink for a MONTH after patrick… i fear it’s still looming sometimes) but i was sad i didn’t get to wear anything unique for either role. i mean, my patrick shorts were LITERALLY the shorts he wears in the cartoon. i think your takes are super creative and practical since everyone is so physically busy during both acts. if i for some reason do this show for a third time (i feel it in my guts that i will tbh), i hope i am able to wear something similar to what you’ve designed and so many other incredible artists have like some of the regional/community productions you referenced!
costume designing is the biggest thing in theatre that i’m like… “man, i wish i could do that” as someone who’s known for doing a thousand different things at once so thank you for inspiring me to give it a shot sometime just because!
that sounds AMAZINGGG i love the idea of using your own hair to create the silhouette! and you KNOW i love accessorising and glitter, that sounds like a fantastic patrick look. thank you so much for watching this video, and yes -- i would also highly recomment just doing some designs "Just Because" - why not, right? 💖🌈🎉

I am designing this show right now and stumbled on your review video on Spongebob costumes the other day. A couple days later after I drew up some of my own ideas, I watched this only to see that we have some very similar ideas/thought processes, especially for Spongebob and Sandy! Great minds (and rabbit hole researchers) think alike, I guess!!!! I would 10000% watch more videos of you reviewing Spongebob designs (and would love to hear your thoughts on my own) and more videos like this in the future. 😊
