Both Xillias are amazing. I love these games and their universe. To me Xillia 2 follows so well on the first one, it really feels like they were meant to be one game. As much as I want a HD remaster for classics like Rebirth and Destiny, I would also love a Xillia duology
Love both Xillia 1 and 2, this review was a great reminder of all that I enjoyed in this game. The battle system is definitely my favorite in the series. I actually really enjoyed Elle in this game, I thought she added a really interesting side to things, and the mystery around her comes to a satisfying conclusion, I thought. Love the kitty dispatch stuff, tracking down all the kitty cats was so much fun. And I'm a dog person! There's just something so cute about sending them out and having them bring back items. I'm playing through Zestiria right now and loving it (aside from some quibbles with the battle system, but I'm more in this for story and characters, and Zestiria really nails that for me). Looking forward to your review!
Honestly Xillia 2 is still one of my favourite in the series. Yes it has its flaws, but I really enjoyed the plot and characters. I still hum the Hymn of Proof to this day.
It was a very recent development, so no judgement, but a few months before this video was released, Ludger's English VA came out as a trans woman, and now goes by Jessie James Grelle. (Also, her last name is pronounced "Gree-lee" which is also no judgement, because it's not the pronunciation you would expect from the spelling)
@@Oliverph0enix Because he refers to her by her deadname, so correcting that information is important, because she doesn't use that name anymore. (He also mispronounced her last name, so I also corrected that. Correct information is important)
I did enjoy getting to know Gaius and some of the others more...felt the cast's morals flip flopped between games casually treating condemning entire universes...and something about the plot just felt...nihilistic. And, as cool as some of the stuff Luger went through...a lead that does not talk does limit a lot of things. And...damn was that debt stuff exasperating. Battle system was fun though. Welp, next up is Zestria and that's just about the most hated game in the series for me lol.

Just finished the Xillia duology and liked both, but I think I liked 1 slightly more.
I agree but I often stuggle to say why as, in alot of ways, Xillia 2 is the better game.
