It's important to find exactly where the drip is coming from. If it's the bottom corner of the door, then it's a failed seal or something is keeping the door from fully closing. In my case, it was a screw. This fix worked great. Later on, however, the gasket failed and I got a leak again. Same problem but this time it was a different cause. I found this video after I replaced the door gasket and the door still leaked. Went back and checked the screws and most were loose and one was almost all the way out! Tighten the screws and the leak stopped. The gasket was in bad condition and Whirlpool has improved the design, but I am glad I found this video. Thanks Adam.

The two screws that hold the dishwasher to the underside of the counter top were loose on mine which allowed the unit to move in and out. That put outward pressure on the door because it was hitting the edge of the cabinetry. Thanks for the tips.
Sure enough - two of the screws in my dishwasher's door were loose. I even found the same screwdriver bit Adam referenced (T15) and it fit. Thanks, Adam!

Thank you for the information. Our gasket was still good and the cover screws were tight so we had to dig a little deeper. There is a vented area on the bottom of our door and when we would start and stop our dishwasher, it would burp a splash of water out. After removing a plastic nut on the top of the rotating sprayer in the bottom of the dishwasher, I was able to pull that assembly out and noticed we had 2 screws that had completely come out and 4 others were loose on that assembly. When initial water pressure would start, it pushed a wave through the bottom of the dishwasher leading to the burp of water through the vent. Reinstalled and tightened screws and no more leak.
I am so glad you published this, I just replaced the seal on the door and it still leaked! You saved me from buying a new dishwasher. I read your post and then had a look under the bottom sprayer and the screws were ALL loose and one was even put in cockeyed from the factory. Great QC Whirlpool !!! NOT. Anyway tightened them down, started a cycle and no leak. Thanks so much!!!

can you tell me how you removed the plastic nut? I tried with my hand but it won't budge... :(
i replaced the gasket, i tightened the screws along the door but still has drops of water, maybe 3 -4 drops during the light wash cycle on the left bottom of the door. Any help would be appreciated! It would start doing this days before Thanksgiving!!
The main nut top center on mine is like a "wing nut", it's plastic and has a flat wing across it, it comes off easily as it is on finger tight. Sounds like yours is different washer or model. good luck.
Did you get yours fixed? I'm having the exact same problem. I replaced the seal and all my door screws are tight and it still burps water from the bottom left corner of the door. I looked at my bottom sprayer and at first the wing nut wouldn't budge. Then I discovered it is reverse threads. It's not really a wing nut although it looks like one. Instead, it is part of the center hub of the lower sprayer arm. If you hold the wingnut the sprayer arm itself will unscrew from the hub. If you are trying to hold the sprayer arm and turn the wingnut then you need to turn it to the right to loosen. Unfortunately my lower spray arm did not have any screws on it.

We have almost the exact same model! And as soon as u started talking I KNEW that’s what it was!! Bout to try it 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 liked and subbed! Now, if I could only find out how to fix my refrigerator/freezer 🧐 it makes a loud buzzing noise when it’s kicked on AND the first symptom before that was the freezer stopped working! Wont make ice, keeps ice i make half frozen. And everything is just cold, not really frozen for the most part 😩 PS- the bottom of the freezer was always ice, like thick anywhere from and inch to 5” thick. And icy frost caked on back. My dishwasher started to leak after doing some work on the interior. this included disassembling the bottom to free up some junk. I wonder though if when I was trying to screw the upper arm assembly I leaned heavily by accident and the door which somehow made me this got the door out of alignment. Right after that it seemed like it was a little hard to close the door the last inch or so before it latched. I have tightened all the screws on the door so I know that should not be the problem. I have inspected the upper and lower washing assemblies and it seems like they are not broken to suggest some misaligned spray I have made sure that the rinse aid is not leaking as I have read that that can cause a problem with too many suds . I guess my next try now will be to replace the gasket. I am not so sure though as this all seemed to start after I was doing some work inside the dishwasher. I am open to any suggestions however including the possibility that I damage the door when I inadvertently leaned on it . It definitely started right after I finished working on the inside of it however. Hopefully I did not damage anything. I have checked all the fittings on the inside of the dishwasher and then take it apart again to make sure everything is in its place

installed - did not put panel on. strip of insulation at bottom of door becomes damp - normal condensation or bad gasket, something else? Checked gasket all around that is visible - don't know if there is something in the hinge of the door.
Thanks! Just tightened the screws and next time we use the dishwasher will see if it leaks. In a year we might use the dishwasher 12 times so won’t know if the gasket is needed till then. Thanks again.
You should consider using it more often if you want to save money on water, especially hot water. Unless your super efficient at washing and rinsing your dishes - the eco mode or default clean non 1 hour wash will take many hours, but that's because it's just reusing water hotter than a human can stand.
it also can be a defective water inlet valve ... if your still getting a leak, the inlet valve may not be operating properly thus allowing too much water or maybe not enough water causing water to overflow or foam overflow ...

What if the leak happens 12-18 hours after you last washed dishes, and it leaks water all along the bottom front of the dishwasher and forms a large puddle all along the floor? Sometimes it still has water accumulated in the tub after the cycle is finished, sometime not. But it doesn't start leaking on the floor till many hours later.

I replaced the side gasket and bottom door seal. Still leaks out of both sides of the door. I torqued everything down. Any ideas?

Leak comes from door vent seals. You have to take front cover off, pull vent out and clean seals.

I would not use the glue as you need to access the interior of that door for other components if they fail. Just add this to check along with the batteries for smoke detector.

don't they sell threader tape? I've Seen it done. a white tape you place around it.
One additional problem, is something sticking down through the basket interfering with the float in the front corner

Leaks can also from a dishwasher that is not exactly leveled...
That a T15 Torx bit. Not a security bit. The "security" bits are the ones with the holes in the tip. Security, not really meaning what you think it means. It just keeps people out who are unable to figure these things out on their own. Non technical types.
Just re-watched that... The bit is a security bit. But the screw is not. The screw would have a pin, that fits into the hole.
Tech ti: That is a screw made to go into plastic. The threads give it away. Make sure you turn it backwards about 1 full turn, and you will feel it drop into the threads. Otherwise you can get it cross threaded, and ruin the threads in the screw hole. Placing some sharkskin in the hole will help with threading after that becomes a problem. Sharkskin looks like a miniature cheese grater. It give the screw a little more grip.

Red Locktite and later have a problem and need to remove the screws - how do you do that??
The RED loctite, the color of the fluid not the bottle, is a PERMANENT. Loctite and should only be used on components that you are not planning. to remove. The BLUE loctite, the fluid, is removable loctite, one of the names it is.
Why not just take thicker screws?? :)

Beware and forewarned.
Not good to use ' permenant ' thread lock. You may have to remove the door in the future to replace electronic parts etc,
They call it that but it's hardly permanent.
Maybe not into plastic, but put it on a 1/2-inch nut and bolt and try and remove it without heat.
I'd probably just use blue. Honestly I'd probably use something like gorilla glue as I have that in the house usually. Saves a trip to the garage.
Why use "a more permanent" thread glue on something that you may need to remove to repair some other issue with the door? That's just stupid. Using blue is significantly wiser.
Damn it I hate whirlpool so much. Microwave is death. Dishwasher is death. Electric stove is death. I don’t know man whirlpool is horrible for me.
Dumb. Never use glue or caulk. Good luck getting the screws out. Replace the rubber seal around the door and bottom of the door first
