    "Interesting" (in a bad & sad way) how many times Kendall has been asked about the lift kit, as well as the wheel offset to yet they've NEVER bothered to answer. Hopefully, their customer service isn't as bad. To Kendall Toyota, is, by chance, you happen to respond to my comment, please, do NOT comment about the dealership's customer service...please, DO comment about the lift kit, as well as the wheel offset (and whether there was any tire rubbing, and whether said rubbing was on the inside and/or outside of tire). Seriously, is it too much to ask for egg should be 'simple' information to provide???

    I put the ReadyLift 69-5920 2.0'' SST Lift Kit on my 2020 TRD RAV4 and put 245/60R18 Wildpeaks on the stock TRD black rims with minor rubbing on front passenger side, I'm going to put 1" spacers soon. Fairly inexpensive mod with huge results.

The reason iam asking is because if I get nice rims and if I go off roading they are probably gonna get messed up:(.. did u lifted too? Does it ride nice in long trips on freeway with thoese mud tires, what about mpg? What model do you have, iam debating between the le and xle? I'm guessing (and I mean, just guessing), no one wants to help because they don't want to be responsible for your Toyota warranty from putting a lift kit in, and changing the tire size on brand new SUV that wasn't designed to handle either one. Lift kits have improved in recent years, but they put strain on things that can't handle the strain.

    • @AB-80X
      @AB-80X Рік тому

      @@pbear216 Not true at all. A good impact driver can be 0.3% accurate or better. My bother is the district manager of Bosch Powertools' aftersales departments and repair shops of all of Scandinavia and northern Germany. I have had my Bosch "Blue" tools in their shop for calibration several times just to see if they stay on point - perks of the situation. A good impact driver can in fact easily be more precise than many "click" style torque wrenches - even fairly expensive ones. Have you any idea how much the speed, angle and temperatures can affect accuracy on a click torque wrench? And if you want to get into such accuracies as you think you might get, it is worth zero if you don't know the stretch of the bolt/stud used. You're putting wheels on a car, not assembling gas turbine engines. If you think your click wrench always gets you 110 Nm on your Rav4, you're sorely mistaken. If you put a really good angle wrench on there, I'm sure you can find that with a wrench set to 110 Nm, you'll find them on one wheel to be between 105 to 115 easy. A good impact driver can at the very least put them within 1 Nm despite thread conditions and working ergonomics.
      The wheels themselves? Trust me, they can handle a lot more. What matters is the studs or bolts. If you look up the torque specs in the TÜV certification papers of a normal quality cast wheel such as an MSW, you will find that the same wheel will need 140 Nm on one car, and 90 on another.
      Hell, some wheels range from 100 Nm on one car to 180 on another.
      If you have wheels that will deform because of a 5 Nm difference should that be the case, buy better wheels. Not even cheap China wheels will do that. If you want know where impact guns are a big no-no, it's when using titanium bolts. There are two reasons. One is that titanium is brittle and can crack from the impacts, the other is that this effect is reinforced on wheels with steel inserts as the friction between the titanium and steel is greater. I've actually had to as a guy to replace my titanium wheel bolts after he put an impact gun on while I had my back turned. The friction was so high that it actually threw sparks. Luckily for him and his wallet Hill Engineering was kind enough to send me out two new bolts free of charge rather than having to buy a set of 10 new ones. I have a lot of different experiences with this stuff.
      You're overthinking it and putting blame on someone for doing something they might have not done. Do I do the final torque on my wheels with an impact? No. I snug it up to 75 Nm and go from there with my digital wrench that can also account for angles and speed. Is that overkill? Yes, but I like it.

    • @pbear216
      @pbear216 Рік тому

      @@AB-80X thus post shows your complete ignorance on the subject despite you incessant ramblings! The main reason for proper torque specs is simply that uneven or overtorqued bolts will cause rotor warping, it has very little to do with anything you mentioned. As far as metallurgy goes, it has little or nothing to do with lug torque as it does not have to be so minutely accurate. P.S. don't quit your day job!
