I'm glad the 5th gen can still use 16's, i have a 3rd gen and i have in my mind the desire to buy a set of 16 inch rims to have more beef on the sidewall, so if i buy a newer Rav 4 i could still use them.
@@yotar4ven898 it looks more capable, i believe it's a retardic move when Toyota itself launches a so called "adventure" or more Off Road-ish version of the Rav 4, but they increase the rim size, like why? Bigger rim sizes are a luxury or fashion thing, they're not optimal for off road. Also, trying to find good AT tyres for a size 17 rim is almost impossible, it's like the 17inch rim size was made for street tyres in mind only.

Did you had to get wheel alignment? I got 19inch rims on my 2012 lexus rx350 suv. I want to downgrade to 17inch with these tires for better ride and less road noise. 19inch rims with low profile tires to much road noise etc.
sorry to ask. but i love the way its looks on your car. i have a rav4 adventure planning to change my rim and tire too to look like this. does 235/70r16 +35 offset will fit? no lift up. im scared if it will rub on any components of the car. hope you can help me
i’m pretty sure it will fit since the stock tires for the adventure is 235s. i’m not sure what the offset is but for my stock offset it was +35. also the adventure wheel is 19s and since ur going with 16s the diameter should be similar.
@@yotar4ven898 the stock offset of my tire is +40. the one that i like to put is +35 offset. is it ok? will it not rub the brake caliper or anything? sorry for asking too many question. i just want to upgrade my rav4 just like yours and i live in japan without any friends thats why i couldn't ask anyone.

i didn’t get a wheel alignment. but after i changed the suspension i did. shouldn’t have to get an alignment if u just change the wheels

@@Kimurocks yup most likely won’t rub since it’s only a 5mm difference. with those specs it’s almost similar to stock wheels

mine are +20 offset so it’ll look just like mine. and yes they would fit with the shorter tire wall.

nope no rubbing. biggest diameter u can go is 29 without rubbing
