- Paul returns to Studio 2 at Abbey Road. The room where all the Beatles records were made. For an intimate journey through his songwriting history. From his very first Beatles song to the work on his new album "Chaos & Creation In The Backyard".
Awesome...Just an amazing person..Humble and down to earth...Hope you live to be a hundred and fifty Paul. We all love you...Thanks for all the music you sent our way...Peace and Love.
Thanks God for Paul McCartney!! Everything he does is gold, and never gets old, no matter how many times I listen to it.
i always love re-listening to this Band on the Run...i just love it!! i really wish he had officially released it...i even really like his more old-sounding vocal...its amazing!
Paul is a musical god..what a man, bearing in mind how long ago this was and he is still touring and rocking as I write makes him even more amazing.

i ADORE this band on the run version! his vocal is so great
This Paulie brings out your artistic/musical/rhythm/"in tune" more than anyone I've ever met in my entire life.
Thank you for these absolutely beautifully done video's of this Abbey Road-C&C series.
I never knew what a one man band Paul was. No wonder he's always been the most popular/favorite Beatle for most of the fans.
Gracias Paul for the videos que Dios te cuide
Paul is an incredible Rock & Roll singer
Gracias por la Magia Paul! muchas gracias!!
The first time I heard him allude to the fact that he was able to get into the Beatles; obviously admitting it was John's band.
Could God have blessed us anymore than by giving us Elvis AND The Beatles in one lifetime??
I watched "The Girl Can't Help It" the other day. And couldn't wait til Eddie Cocharan's Twenty Flight Rock. It was shortened a bit, but still very cool. I forgot to mention to my parents, that's the song that got Paul into their daughters favorite band ever! LOL
Thanks Paul for being such a generous person. We hope you come to argentine!
wow i loved that
wow. that was a great sound
"The song was written by McCartney and Harrison, and is the only song to ever credit the two of them alone. It was recorded in 1958 at Percy Phillips' home studio in Liverpool (see 1958 in music). It cost them 17 shillings and six pence. Along with their cover of Buddy Holly's "That'll Be the Day" recorded at the same session, these songs comprise the second recordings of what would eventually become The Beatles (after a reel-to-reel recording from July 6, 1957).
Great part of music history.
@TheBeatlesMagic Thanks very much! Thats great!
He's a genious!
That's one hypnotic version of band of the run
Brillante...estas cosas me hacen llorar.
Paul looks like McGyver here... making music out of glasses, water, a track machine and a Harmonium. Genius... what else can I say?
That is totally cool :-)
thanks
the guy's like a mad scientist. awesome.
MAGICK
very special
Amen to that.
great
eres grande maestro mccartney
@ThomasCKN The name is "In Spite Of All The Danger" and you can hear the original recording on the Anthology Vol. 1
I love this man so so much. How can you help it?
Way cool.
I'm reading this as I'm watching it for the first time. I'm thinking to myself "What is this guy talking about? Band On the Run wasn't written by McCartney and Harrison, and especialy not in 1958!." Then it got to the part with "In Spite of All the Danger." Well of course, I felt like and idiot. You're right by the way. It was their first.
By the way, I went to a concert during the first tour that he played that live.
@santseghotmail "In Spite of All the Danger" (which can be found on Beatles Anthology 1) it was the 1st beatles song ever recorded
band on the run is really cool
@triwsocarina thanks been trying to get that name for ages lol thanks again
what the hell is that two-chord Band on the Run! with mixed applause.
i adore in spite of all the danger.. the original recording is great.. i wish paul could sing it a little higher but wow i love that he sang it aha.
Yes, it was their first recording.
I Met Paul Last November in London at a signing and he was Just as friendly and talkative off-camera as he was here. Total genius does not really cover Maccas talent- and ok, some of his stuff is a bit twee and lacking a cutting edge , but you have to say he has got the BEST Back catalogue of music on the planet. No one can match McCartney - can they?
@FESTIMBORDEJO
Its a Studer.. pronounced shtooder...2 inch tape 4 track.
Inside they are a feat of engineering
Er 2 inch is like 50mm.
What was that cool mini-piano Paul played in Band on the run? how is it call?
I love the sound of his guitar! What label is it? Anyone know?
It's called "Twenty Flight Rock" by Eddie Cochran
You're right, I'm wrong... I was thinking of another song. And it sounds like a Buddy Holly song - which is no accident.
And "just for the record" it was recorded by the QuarryMen, including John, Paul and George.
whats the name of the song he does , when he talk about the pre-beatles song that they recorded , the first record they ever made
Whats the song he plays that he, george and john sang before the beatles?
twenty flinght rock woow
Can Anyone Make an Audio of this and send me a message back about it?
@ThomasCKN In Spite of all the Danger.
and also what's the name of the song at 6:20
what is the name of the song at 2:42 ??
what does paul means when he said :"thats what got me into the beatles?". lol..it sounds like hes saying he was applying to play with the beatles, instead of Making them :]
You couldn't write any of this, none of you could, get off your internet high horses. Thanks for posting this show, i didnt think i would ever see it again.
whats the second song he played?
In Spite of All the Danger was a Buddy Holly song.
i read that paul was originally right handed but that he couldnt play guitar to well and he flipped the guitar and the strings and he played way better left handed
@idox101
twenty flight rock by eddie cochran
Lennon's first band was called The Quarrymen.
I'd like a harmonium
Which's the name's song in 3.00 ??
Miire Reynaud in spite of all the danger, after 6 years :)
pot helped him quite a bit, in a great, creative way.
20 Flight Rock, an Eddie Cochrane song.
the first beatles song
Ever recorded...
haha john and his beery breath
it's a Martin Guitar, a very expensive instrument.
@he18051999 25 rock
@Xcorgi Paul McCartney a one man band?? I hope You not referring to the Beatles there?? Because that is the most ridiculous comment ever made. I class all the Beatles as equal because there qualities as an individual is what made that band so special. I'd argue until His death that John Lennon was the most famous and loved of the three as much as I value Paul McCartney. But to claim he was a one man band in the Beatles is ludicrous!
haha John would have loved it or George
How can people say the Stones were better than The Beatles when Paul alone was Better than The Stones!
wow what a weird version of band on the run.
Like this if after band on the run you clapped by yourself in your house
no, you're wrong
