- Paul returns to Studio 2 at Abbey Road. The room where all the Beatles records were made. For an intimate journey through his songwriting history. From his very first Beatles song to the work on his new album "Chaos & Creation In The Backyard".
The Beatles were seriously full of amazing musicians. We should all be thankful to have these geniuses in our lives.
how could anyone thumbs down this?? this is paul at his best, most charming ever
masterpiece Paul!!!
Please continue to make great music!!
We all need this music!!
Fantastic!!!!
He's living music - and he did the soundtrack to my life - whish I'd been there at Abbey Road, what a fantastic evening!
what a peaceful song!
PEACE AND LOVE!!!
omg when he started playin strawberry fields my heart just raced and my eyes filled with tears its just my favorite beatles song ever
Paul and the other Beatles are geniuses- only someone really talented could take a mistake and turn it into great music! beatles/Wings forever!
I wish that I could have been in the audience! Entertaining all the way 'round!
the thing we can compare here is that they will be remember still in 100 years
Omg I love this man...
I don't think people forget his work, it's jus that Paul is probably much more alive in people's memories because he's still around, and he's always been more present because he simply WORKED harder than the other Beatles over the years. He might or might not be more talented than the others, that's up for a lot of discussion, but he has remained in the limelight for much longer mainly because he worked for the recognition. John was brilliant, and many people consider him the better artist.
i love all this! i think its really intresting as a fan of this music and as a producer.
hehe its funny to--i love his little dance at the start :D
I really love that mellotron instrument!! I want one!
love it! Dooooo
wow he play with a detroit red wings logo on his guitar, Paul you`re the BEST.
I love that song Jenny Wren !!! WOW long since I didn;t dig a Paul's new song !! English TEa also, very good, For No One style ...
2:21 is like 1964 Paul coming back to life :D aww, so cute!!
They did go nuts at his 2002 show at the Palace of Auburn Hills. He had it at least that far back.
I believe that is the original Ephiphone texan he used to record "Yesterday", probably the most valuable acoustic guitar on earth.
Got it!!
That is so true
glad to see the mellotron getting some love
that mellotron is so so cool
That's amazing. I always compared Jenny Wren to Blackbird's sound. Not a coincidence. No wonder they're both fantastic.
Sorry, meant that in response to those asking what Bach song Paul's on about - it's Bourree in E Minor.
Quede maravillado con la forma que toca Jenny Wren ya que me parece que es de sus mejores canciones de ese disco que saco ya mas de media decada estoy con la expectativa de oir Kisses in a Bottom
Este paul se sabe la música al Derecho y al Revés
watching paul do that stupid face and foot tapping to that melotron riff was one of the funniest things i have ever seen. haha!!
Ahh! Why didn't he play all the way through Strawberry Fields Forever? My heart started racing as soon as he played the intro.
I love jenny wren! i could dream to that song forever! =)
I love how he's got a red wings sticker on his guitar
The Strawberry Fields demonstration shows the shortcomings of the Mellotron as the notes end before Paul stops singing. This is because the tape note playback limit is approx. 8 seconds.
Bourree in E Minor .
Thank you Tofellasmeet. :)
he will be remembered with beethoven and motzart in 100 years
wow
1:02 - 2:15 Best part of the entire show ;D Mellotron ftw!
i really like to know what the beatles did in their past lives to be given all that talent and each other in this, got to be a hell of a karmic story
That Paul and his mellotron
Whoa. There's a Detroit Red Wings sticker on the JennyWren guitar. The Wing Nuts here in Michigan would love to see that.
damn I want a mellotron. What a sound
@ScottSextonTV i never thought of it that way- but that's pretty much true- both are based on Paul's mistake playing the classical music song- and both mention a bird
bachh inspired BLACKBIRDD?!? holy crappp lol. that's so awesome. and jenny wren, nicee :).
Holy SHIT! its AMAZING! probably costs an Arm and a Leg, buddy!! :$
@bennydieerbse YESSSSSSSSSS
i want that gear!
At around 2:00 you can hear part of the song "Bison" by the Fireman. Listen to it, then play that part of this vid, you'll see what I mean.
paul wrote the introduction to strawberry fields the part with the mellotron. because john had trouble with an intro
no, he certainly didn't told anybody what to do. he said what he wanted it to sound like and they helped him to realize it. and i don't say that anybody is the better songwriter.
@childrummer79 thanks for the information, however, I listen it a bit out of tune, and why would Paul put a sticker of the detroit red wings in such a classical historical guitar?
Yes, Bourree in E Minor. ;)
No problem.
It's the Bourree of Lute suite nr. 1
I have the mellotron stuck in my head do wop a doobie
jk. I think that Paul may have truly been the most demanding at the end of the beatles, but also amongst the most musical at the time.
was that heather mills in the audience at 1:25?
god Paul has grat people skills
@a1974h I dont get it. what did she do wrong?
McCartney played Mellotron on the song. He's not stealing anybody's work.
@elchingoncabron I dont get it. what did she do wrong?
I meant to know that... :)
But which piece of Bach's music does he use?
Oh I really want a Mellotron, please make some more Mellotron company! I've got some Mellotron samples which is at least something I guess.
If there was truly a world currency he should be on it.... Like being invited a master house.
oh yeah...genius, musical genius. if ringo had ever been a musical genius then paul is the second man after jesus bringing on the earth the immensity of god
Which part? I didn't find them similar at all.
i think it's her because at this moment he sings: "I love you baby"
Thats the Epiphone Texan that he recorded Yesterday on...
lol, me too!
What´s the name of the first mellotron song?
whats the song by bach called
@MtzUglyDuck It means something or someone is different from the usual. It has more meanings than the one everyone fixes on, same with "gay." Both words seem to have a single meaning, now, but it's only because the most recent uses are so intentionally inflammatory.
Blackbird was based on the Bach piece they got "wrong"!
@DrKlimax
Because the Red Wings are like 5% as awesome as Paul, and just that is more awesome than just about anything on the earth today.
The one Jethro Tull did :)
What´s the name of Bach´s Song?
HE had it that far back??? LOL... The mellotron has been around for years. Thats the exact instrument that the intro to Strawberry Fields was recorded on in 66
haha :D Humor :) Lovely
Well ... just as John picked a Witch, Paul picked the Thief ... now he has to Carry that Weight ...
Bourree in E Minor
and paul mccartney. he's cool I guess, or whatever, if you're into that.
I hate when people say Lennon was greater, cause thats nonsense. Im a huge Lennon fan. Paul is just as tanented if not more and beleive it or not John looked up to Paul and his skills way after the beatles broke up. Why cant everybody just see that they both had wonderful talents and we're all lucky enough to listen to these to supertalents in the same group. That stuff only happens evey 200 years.
2:20-2:25
:D
He is god
Hmmm? He's saying he's returned to that style for the first time in 30 years, and you're replying by saying he "can't escape" from it?
JJaahahaha :P
Jenny Wren is so beautiful.
What Bach?
Right at 1:25, somebody please delete Heather form this great piece of material?. Thanks!
then why bring it up lol
mellotron! who noticed thatwhen he plays Jenny Wren he is plaring a right handed guitar strung backwards and flipped? because of course he cant afford a lefty!
Paul looks like Han Solo
..becuz of you Jenny Wren..
mozart was kind of pop back then
Epiphone
Mills ... not his daughter ..
there all composers thats my drift....pop music wasnt around in 1700's,if it was mozart would be rockin
ever heard of a band called wings lol
Jenny Wren is definitely the best song in the album.
He's dressed like Han Solo.
When will you guys all shut up and realize that Ringo was the real musical genius behind the Beatles!
Detroit redwings
"Jenny Wren" = "John Lennon"... Listen to his words.
