    Forgive me for saying so, Russell but the second note after F is actually C. Great introduction to rockabilly bass, though

    Should be saying F to C, (not G). But nice easy one to start with.

      Also that it us Bb and not A# to be completely correct. Basically it doesn't matter but harmony wise it's wrong because a 12 bar blues is I, IV, V. And a A# would be the #3 and not the 4th which would be the Bb.

      @@athanorcovers5790 1 b in the key of F…and it’s Bb…A# is found in the key of B…but hey, who cares? Let’s slap some bass!

      Yes, and the "triplets" are not triplets, but "quarter - eighth-eight." Good technique and great video, but what a mess with basic theory!

    Hi there. Please allow me to point out a few things that throw me curveballs here: the A# is really a Bb, as we are in the key of F. Then the first alternating bass is f-c, not f-g. Kindest regards!

    Hi how are things?
    What strings do you have on the double bass?
    Sounds very good

    B flat my friend, NOT,
    A sharp.

    Don’t say A sharp in the key of F. It’s B flat, and you should know that!

    F is the key so when playing a country slap style of root and 5ths its F to C not G then Bb to F and then C to G the guitar however would play F Bb C7 , good stuff

    This video is totally the wrong technique. Play it like this and you're way off, it sounds terrible. Look how marshall grant played. And yes, I do know the double bass inside and out. BTW, you need stringing up for saying Luther Perkins guitar playing is boring.

    It's not F - G - your playing F - C - F is on the D string and the C is on the A string. at least, that's what your playing...

    How do you know where to put the fingers on your left hand without frets?

    • @hinduismwithpremananddasbhagat
      @hinduismwithpremananddasbhagat 3 місяці тому

      It comes with practice, muscle memory and ear training. I'm a double bassist. Originally I marked the 'frets' on my bass so I could see when I was learning. Then I got rid of the marks and surprisingly I was able to find the notes.
