The fact that he just brushed this off as some little tune he just wrote on a whim. If I wrote this, it would have been my ace. He's absolutely incredible.
The riff he does towards the end of the song was used in ‘All Day’ by Kanye West, where he’s credited :) he whistles it on there. Amazing that he retained that little riff and was able to use it years later
ValerieLorna1 Maybe you had your computer on mute. Turn the volume up and give it another listen. I live in Florida, the mockingbird is my state bird. They are annoying and none of them sing. And they never write any songs of their own....
He’s actually whistling the tune to ‘All Day’ by Kanye West, this melody was taken by Kanye when they worked together around 2015/16. Check the credits for All Day and you’ll see Paul
@@KayJayFusion They mean that very non standard tuning E B G D A E in the very very rare six string guitar; the one with those strange twelve equal tempered tones across it's neck.
I agree but of all The Beatles he is the most disrespected. I think some think the music comes too easily to him. And others consider Paul a lightweight, I am not among those that do.
thats because he's still alive. and it's the internet age, so it seems a lot. people put down Ringo too (saying he's not a good drummer, and whatnot). and when lennon and harrison were alive, they got put down too. but on magazine, by the critics. but still i rarely see anyone put down his talents, there are PID camp ofc, but lots of them saying the new paul has better talent. and ofc his singing voice is changed, well cant helped he's old. but still good at playing the instruments tho.
Even with two fingers he can make a lovely melody. And besides all the instruments he can play and the lovely voice he has, he can whistle perfectly well. How cool is that? Paul is a genious.
Don't be too sure about that. Talent isn't as few and far between in this generation as you think. More people means more chances for greatness. Everyone has a dream no matter how little their ambition. Great musicians will always arise throughout time.
Paul McCartney is just so friggin musical. He's like the Shakespeare of music. Those Brits in the arts just unbelievably great. From music, to acting to poetry, to writing, to painting the best in the world.
He has the most perfect whistle. It's hypnotic. I would love to hear that, but a very lonnngg version of it. Imagine listening to that, and taking a awesome scenic drive
There are some musicians in this world that get a lucky break, in the right place at the right time, etc. Then there's guys like this, who would have been famous even if they tried not to. He's just that good.
Really gifted, whatever he does, he has this touch of class, he's brilliant, allways surprising. Like millions of people i've known his voice for years. Through the years this voice became so familiar he sounds like a friend with a beautiful and generous mind.
It's impossible not getting emotional hearing his beautiful way of playing the guitar. Also, it's really cute his story behind the two fingers, he's really modest about create his own melodies.
The original of that Picasso is in the Art Institute of Chicago. I’ve had the good fortune of seeing it many times. And never ever have I noticed that the man in the painting is only using two fingers to play with. This is why a Paul McCarney is able to write the music he writes. There’s something that he and a John Lennon had that open his eyes to really observe and SEE all that his eyes and ears take in. That special gift enables his creativity leading to a body of work that is on a whole other plane. I’ll never look at that painting the same way again... Thanks for posting this great story.
Thank you once again Paul. This song is a genuine masterpiece. So many songs from Rupert, Red Rose Speedway, Ram are practically unheard of by the unwashed masses - yet they are unbelievably great. Just those 3 albums - 3 of his most obscure from 1960 to 1980 - exceed the output of entire careers by even hugely successful artists.
He's an inspiration for everyone to just sit down and try and make up a melody with the first chord you learn. He never stops singing. John was the same way. George too. Not enough singing with a pleasant melody in the world these days.
Just magical Close my eyes takes me to the time I took to my 2 year old daughter to the crystal cove outlook point in Cali and just looked out watching the sun disappear into the ocean. :')
I've been a fan since '64 and in a way I think you're right. There's something about all 4 of them that has always remained very provincial. Sure, what they've experienced changed them in mind boggling ways, but being a self contained group during "the mania" as George called it, insulated them in a way. It allowed a side of them to stay somewhat idealistic & keep a certain naivete' & almost simple wonder of the world around them. This is the endearing quality that draws the world to them!

Look up Ron McCroby
