Let's talk about a few benefits of coffee you may have never heard before. Coffee can be addictive. To receive these benefits, you have to limit the amount of coffee you consume.
I drink one cup of organic coffee every day without sugar. Coffee is one of the most chemically treated crops, so it's important to only drink organic coffee. It's also crucial that you don't consume too much coffee because excess coffee consumption can have side effects.
Making bulletproof coffee by adding MCT oil and butter to your coffee can help you fast longer. However, don't add things like sugar and syrups to your coffee, which may cancel out the positive effects.
Too much coffee can have negative effects on your:
    • Sleep
    • Cholesterol
    • Cardiac rhythm
    Well known benefits of coffee:
    • Coffee can improve your cognitive function
    • Coffee can improve your physical performance
    • Coffee can positively affect your mood
    Unexpected potential benefits of coffee:
    1. It can lower your risk of dementia, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's
    2. It can lower your risk of gallstones
    3. It can lower your risk of kidney stones
    4. It can give you an anti-carcinogenic effect
    5. It has an anti-inflammatory effect
    6. It can help with metabolic syndrome
    7. It has the potential to decrease all-cause mortality
    8. It is hepatoprotective

I was a lot skinnier when I drank 2-3 cups a day black or with just cream. I quit it because everyone convinced me it was bad and I drank too much coffee.
But I wasn’t constantly snacking on carbs and crap to stay energetic and awake.
So I kinda came to my own conclusion that I’d rather take the risks of coffee and have a flat tummy than be eating so much and feeling bloated.

Coffee with heavy cream each day helps me to not need food until 3pm in the afternoon. I consume three or four cups during the morning and afternoon and I've found it easy to maintain a 19:5 fasting regime. This in turn helped me lose 103 pounds and keep it off.

That’s a great point , but moderate black coffee ☕️ 👍. The issue is people are consuming all this fancy coffee drinks mixed with others things nowadays and then they order the biggest cup out there and don’t realize all the sugar in it. And by doing that, the coffee essence and richest is gone. I remember back on the days when we produced coffee, adults would drink a very small cup of black coffee ☕️ in the morning and sometimes another one in the afternoon if we had guests and even the teenagers will get black coffee in the morning, of course with some sugars, but very light brewed coffee and adults will have the strong brewed like espresso. 😎there is nothing better than a small cup of black coffee ☕️😋!!!

I wasn’t groggy anymore because I was sleeping better. The second thing I realized was I had sustained energy throughout the day, no more energy crashes. I have GERD (and hemmorhoids) so acidic coffee was a negative side effect for me if I had more than one cup until I tried beans from a region that's found to be among the least acidic (Brazil) and it's been much more forgiving. Paper also does a better job than metal mesh filters at a cleaner, less acidic cup.

I’m 58 and still working my butt off doing very physical work and then I try to get to gym 2-3 times a week plus walk 5-7 miles a day. I have to be active or It effects me physiologically , I don’t feel like I’m doing the best for me etc….. that being said I have to look for anythingI can to help me perform and feel good. I’ve been researching all my life about food and supplements. Yes the things I mentioned I take might sound extreme to most people but most people at 58 are not moving tons of materials and walking 5-7 miles a day and then going to the gym if they can muster the effort.
I track everything I eat and my weight because something happened about a year ago that caused my gut issues and I had and still have IBS.
I did a series of things like natural antibiotic’s, strict diet, and re introduced pro biotic’s etc…. Still have to be careful with vegetables and fiber.
I eat a lot of healthy fat and good protein with berries and avocado….
Because of stress and not knowing what was wrong with me and reduced gym time and reduced calories I had lost 20 pounds . Now that I am tracking calories/macros and using scale and being more diligent again with gym I have gained 8 pounds back and on my way to normal life, and feeling better so far!
      Diet and mindset are critical…

Sure, take your supplements when you fast, especially potassium and magnesium. Don't be tempted to drink a lot of water because you'll be flushing out whatever you have in storage, but of course, do drink when thirsty. I actually would avoid fasting when you have low iron. Your body is already in a compromised state and you should be healthy as possible when fasting. It is fun to fast with someone else too, but in the past, I had a friend who urged me to go past my limit, and my body saw this as stress. Within 6 months about half my hair fell out. There is a routine of serving fresh coffee daily, mainly for the purpose of getting together with relatives, neighbors, or other visitors.the process includes four basic steps: raw coffee beans must be roasted, the roasted coffee beans must then be ground, the ground coffee must then be mixed with hot water for a certain time (brewed), and finally serve it.I personally love our traditional fresh coffee since i knew this benefits im gonna keep loving it more thanks so much Dr.Berg.

Hello Dr. I drink 4 to 5 cups day. Love it. This is shocking news. My kidney works at 53%. I used to have 2 cups a day period. Then jumped to 4 to 5. For the longest time when I pee, there’s bubbles in the toilet. Since I changed to 4 to 5 cups there’s no bubbles. Is coffee the cause? I’ve also started eating asparagus, as I hear it’s excellent for my Kidneys. Love reading all your infos. Thank you Doctor. ❤️🇨🇦

And to be honest I only drink water and some electrolytes to keep my energy paced during the day. The healthiest way in my opinion

Coffee ruins my moods, my skin, my sleep, my energy, raises my anxiety and ruins my teeth, and that's with 2-4 cups a day. If I drank 1/2 a cup to one cup a day maybe I would see these benefits. I switched to green tea, organic matcha and I don't have any of these issues. Everyone I different, so this is just my experiences, but alot of people I know who drink coffee, have similar problems. Plus it's so addictive, it's a slippery slope for using it responsibly and on moderation. So I just remove it, so it's not even an issue

I definitely can't be disciplined enough to have just a cup a day. If I can only have a cup a day I rather not have any.
My anxiety went from very high to zero, I'm less hungry, sleep better, urinate way less often and overall feel better. So no more coffee for me.

The book "Caffeine Blues" points out the numerous negative effects of coffee. I have one cup a day as well, but even that amount is extremely difficult to quit. I did quit for 8 months and had withdrawal but then felt great, but then slipped back into it when I bought some for company. A fifty year addiction is not easy to break. The greatest benefit to me when I quit was less anxiety and much better sleep.
