Hes the reason I picked up a guitar and the reason I started singing and writing songs, This man and his music have helped me through so much its almost like his music tells my life story. I love mxpx and Mike Herrera. Thank you for being an inspiration.

Mxpx is the best band ever. Listening to them since I was 6. Saw them in 07 in Tulsa OK. As well as tumbledown. Great performers, awesome how they sound the same live as they do in the studio. not many bands can do that... Come back to tulsa soon!
i became an mxpx/mike herrera fan around age 11, so that was back in 97-98ish. he was my first famous person crush and i had an entire wall of my room dedicated to him and MxPx. We went through a lot of color ink back in those days. I remember waiting an hour for my apple computer to load quicktime so i could watch Chick Magnet video and squeal with delight. I actually thought I was going to marry him at some point; I even tracked down his e-mail address at one point lol (sorry, mike!) I finally saw them in my later teens and again at the Stone Pony when I was about 20ish, in 2006 or so (crazy how you start to forget the years and ages!). My entire teenage soundtrack is MxPx pretty much. I'm delighted to see and hear Mike is doing well and doing his own thing now. He looks even better than he did 15 years ago ;)

MXPX and Green Day were the two bands that really showed you could be a punk vocalist without having to sound like your throat went through a cheese grater. To this day, Mike is a still an absolute beast! Best vocalist in the pop punk game!

It is different musically. The song is from the Secret Weapon album, and originally is very punk rock/alternative sounding, but this is an acoustic version. Lyrically, it's the same.
