Mike Herrera - Im 41 now and grew up loving your music! It is insane how you have kept your talent over years and are still playing the classics. Millencolin, MXPX, Goldfinger .. and the rest.. Your music, a pipe and skateboard was once all I needed to be happy! Thank you for still singing for us Mike.. You're a legend!
My childhood right there. 17 years ago I started listening to them. I’m 29 now and still listen to them now. They will always hold a special place in my heart.
It's funny to hear someone not swedish sing "the kid the whole day", which is a literal translation of a swedish expression. "Grabben hela dan" means someone who is happy, funny, helpful, alert. Peppy, I guess you would say in english. I've always enjoyed when Millencolin put swedish references in their lyrics. Like Battery Check for instance, to fully get it I guess you have to know that Linné is a part of Gothenburg where Nikola lives today and by driving north on E20 from Gothenburg you end up in his hometown Örebro after about 300km.
I really hope mike keeps putting out these acoustic tunes great voice as always and awesome guitar work keep playing and posting please Herrera.grew up on mxpx and many others now I'm old and these acoustic jams are killer gives me new life
Been listening to this song since I was like 6 or 7 and been listening to MxPx for about that long so this is my childhood combining love it. I'm 28 now married with two beautiful little girls and they like the stuff I grew up on such as this 😊
Great cover. It turned me onto Millencolin when I needed new punk rock music in my life. Iv'e really enjoyed all the acoustic sessions over the past year. Thanks for all you do Mike!
Theres a few bands from that era that changed the game for ever. The true spirit of punk rock. These bands still rock today. And they should be in some kind of all of fame.
one of my favorite punk vocalists from one of my favorite punk bands, singing one of my favorite punk songs by one of my other favorite punk bands! Fantastic then..!
Dude! Punk o rama 5 was the first place I ever heard millencollin too! But the song on that comp is Black Eye. Still my all time fav by them. So glad i randomly picked up that comp at the record store all those years ago.
Thats the one with the monkeys on it right? THAT WAS MY FIRST TOO! Had "Black Eye" and that Rancid song from that underrated album that no one wants to talk about. My teenage years are coming back, thanks man.
My love for MXPX happened in high school, and helped me in regards to my chronic PTSD. I'm in my 30's now, but I still have fond memories of so many songs. I lived out in WA for 5 years and got super excited passing by Bremerton, haha. Millencolin also was one of my favs too, so to see you covering this just warms my heart.
You’re so damn good it’s ridiculous. I grew up on MxPx, “Life in General” was one of my first punk albums and your latest S/T is absolutely fantastic. And now your covering Millencolin, one of my other all time favorites? Too perfect! Your voice is perfect for this take, love the video!
thats great man, 2 bands of incredible songs that aways told me soo much about life.i say told? sorry. you teach. big hug for millencolin!!!an' mxpx . punk rock usa!!!! u rule!!!! and this song!!!! i dont need too say much. anthem!!!
What I find absolutely staggering about this version is Mike's ability to match Nikola's enunciation. He does such a great job of imitating the timbre of his voice. There's something about how Nikola sing that is generally only heard in non-native speakers singing in English. (Hi-standard are similiar) Mike crushes it here. Amazing cover.
Este tema significa mucho Empecé a ver la realidad a los 11 años Y es tal cual la canción lo que me pasó en la cabeza siempre Un genio Nikola Saludos Mike desde Argentina
Pennybridge pioneers is one of my favorite albums ever. Listened to it once a week for 20+ years. I love this cover. Im an "essential worker" but while I was working someone stabbed me in the abdomen a month ago. I was essentially quarantined in bed and love all the quarantine vids from goldfinger and offspring etc. Thank you Mike. Adam from NJ
Man! You've just made me go back in time 20 years to wonderful happy years, because of me, my life, because of millencoloin, because of mxpx. We tend to join with unknown people back in ttime and share maybe a disk, a conversation, a song, some beers, and this is like that our favourite musicians spending time together, being friends and jaming, that's so nice! Hope I can invite you all with some bers some time! Thank you man!
No Cigar is easily one of the best punkrock songs ever written.
I mean, sure! If the one and only Hoff thinks that way it must be true.
Definitely 👍
Amazing song but saying that is just false
It’s a good song but it isn’t a punk song....it’s a pop song
clearly you've never heard of the decline

Crazy how a song from your past can make it back around to you when you need it the most.
Mike can repost this song 100 more times and I’ll still watch them all.
Mike Herrera is in MxPx, who made it into Tony Hawk 1+2 with Lets Ride, did music with Goldfinger, covered a Millencollin, truly the THPS king.
My childhood right there. 17 years ago I started listening to them. I’m 29 now and still listen to them now. They will always hold a special place in my heart.
This song will never get old. I really enjoy your cover of “No Cigar” Thanks for jamming it out for us.
AWESOME! As a 46 year old I grew up on these two bands, seen both live in Australia...thanks for the memories boys and keeping it real, so relatable!
Saw them live back in 1998 in Madrid. Since then, I've been to maybe 6-7 Millencolin concerts. Always amazing.

Thank you for lighting up our days during these awful times!!
one of the best unfettered versions of this song, always loved mike's voice

i never noticed the swedish tendencies of the song, its true that their english songwriting is impeccable over there
