Another top video guys,I’ve been using a steripen water purification system for nearly two years now an never had any problems, just so quick an easy 👍👍
With reference to the water filters - I have the Sawyer mini with the 64oz bag. What I do is filter 1L of water for drinking water and then fill up the 64oz bag. You can then use the unfiltered water for hot drinks etc without filtering - as long as you boil the water first! This saves time on filtering - but gives you the option to filter more if you need cold, clean water.
Love the look of bowermans nose! Great legend stories again and naths response funny as always! Can't wait for next instalment, not used to seeing you guys in the sunshine tho 😆😀👍🏻👍🏻
Tell me about it - we are like two snowmen out there in the sun - literally melting. Is a great part of Dartmoor - very popular - but when looking upon some of the views can completely see why. Thanks for watching, ladies. Hope you're keeping well.
Ah...the beginning of another adventure! Excellent. For some reason that I can't explain, Bowerman's Nose reminds me of John Hurt's interpretation of the Elephant Man (whilst wearing his "cap"). I reckon it's the vicar of Dibley who puts the flowers on Jays grave! Completely unrelated question...how much do you use your smartphone on these walks, how long does a charge last and do you recharge "on the hill and, if so, what power bank do you use?
i can see bowermans nose form my frontdoor, so nice to see you over in my area! i so need to get out, but works kicking my ass at mo..but watching other ppls helps..great vid as ever..ATB WJ
Ah cool. Not a bad view where you are then, Jay. I know what you mean, sometimes you just have to make the time. We kind of look at it as another form of work so we make sure we get out at least once a month. Look forward to seeing more from you when you can! Take it easy buddy!
Here in the States, many hikers use the Sawyer filter in combination with a bottle. Smart water is the brand I see the most of. Screw the bottle to the filter, squirt into another bottle or drink right from the filter. The another way is the gravity method hung from a tree while eating lunch. Not too many trees out on the moor might put a damper on that.
Haha - Yep - trees can be a bit sparse over here for sure. Thanks for the advice though, George! Will look to see if the smart bottle attaches to the sawyer. Great idea!
Very cool guys, I know you when to this area just to make me happy. I know this because youtube recommended this video to me personally, I'm special. Thanks for more legends (Nate's indifference noted.)
You boys are on it right now... always out and about. Horseflies are bastards NatH, one bite and I look like a bit of KFC popcorn chicken. LOVE A Dartmoor Legend. "MSawyeR" is what it should be called Nath. Get on the collab with MSR & Sawyer. Lee
I am finding Dartmoor more interesting each video and the legends are cool (Nate's indifference is noted... 😁) May I suggest a gravity feed bag for the mini... I get a liter in about 35-40 seconds out of a 3 liter bladder. Sawyer makes a gravity feed kit but I just made a DIY gravity bag from a 3 liter hydration bladder. Actually I bought the Sawyer kit tossed the stiff 1 gallon bag and used the parts, minus the bag, with the hydration bladder.
Yeah, I will have to look into adjusting the water kit at some point, definitely, before the winter months kick in, don't fancy titting about in the freezing cold for too long. Thanks for watching, Max, Dartmoor certainly is an incredible lace and this area is steeped in legend and history. All the best, my friend. Trev!
An old one but a good one great area and love the legendary Dartmoor stories. Nath has a good point about sawer and msr merging 😁👍
You left us on a right cliffhanger ....or should i say you left Nath jumping off a cliffhanger. Another quality video lads.

Another filter we will consider. Thanks Ray!

Great idea - sounds like there is plenty of options with the sawyer. I'm quite pleased with it myself, and definitely feel confident in it.
Love this area ,one of my favorites on the moor
Certainly was a beautiful part, Alex. Thanks for watching!

But does he land???
Still gutted I couldn't meet you both. But it's great to see my most walked area of Dartmoor. And it's two tors in this video bagged, not 1! 😀👏
Oh, two Tors, well I never hahaha... You would know young man. Yeah, would have been nice to cross paths, MAx, maybe one day, eh! All the best mate!
