THESE Fallout 4 Mods will CHANGE EVERYTHING (Total Conversion Mod Overview)

- Опубліковано 1 чер 2024
- These are some of the biggest Fallout 4 mods in existence right now. In the wake of Fallout London's delay, we have some time before we see the game come out. TeamFOLON has their work cut out for them updating the entirety of Fallout London to fit with the new Fallout 4 Next Gen Update and the new version of Fallout 4 Script Extender. Suffice to say, I think it's possible we will be waiting a while; however while we wait let's go over some of the biggest mods being made right now for Fallout 4. These mods, with the exception of Fallout Miami, are all Total Conversion mods.
What is a Total Conversion Mod?
A Total Conversion (or TC for short) mod is a mod that seeks to completely change the way a game is played, down to it's core mechanics. Differing from an Overhaul, which aims to rebalance and reshape the core gameplay while not changing too much about the game itself, a TC can place the player in a brand new setting, with a brand new story and characters and quests.
Fallout 4 Quest Mods have been around for some time to this point, but these go even beyond Quest Mods; these are more akin to playing a completely brand new Fallout game experience. Each team is committed to making the most Fallout-friendly TC mod they can, constantly reviewing and comparing their output with the previously established Fallout Lore, to ensure their creation fits seamlessly within the Wasteland. Some of these are brand new experiences, and there are some on this list that are Fallout Remakes! Such as remakes of the Classic Fallout RPGs, Fallout 1 and 2, and a Fallout New Vegas remake!

Hi, Fallout: Miami dev here! Thanks for covering our mod, I just wanted to address a couple of things so there’s no confusion. We have three companions (not two) and we also do have a canon faction that appears - the Enclave is a main faction in Miami.
Thank you for clarifying! I believe I missed some things in the writing of the video, but by the time I realized that it was already 3 weeks after the recording (this was made before the NG update if you can believe it).
I'll slip your comment into the description for clarity
Console or p.c
I’ve been anticipating fallout Miami for years now! Please don’t stop just make a great mod🙏
@@jtcattanio The video states console isn't possible for any of these mods
Frank horrigan return possible?
"Bethseda is fully on board!"
>Releases an update after nearly 10 years, breaking all mods without adding much, right before London comes out
Hmmm
I know it's bad optics, but I think Bethesda's silent agreement with modding is that they don't make concessions for mod teams. It was really bad timing, but the Fallout show did just come out so it's reasonable to assume they were dressing it up for new consoles.
Still, hands down an unnecessary patch for PC. We really didn't need it
@@SnailOXD Imo it's still bad since they worked with the people who did the script extended for Skyrim to minimize the amount of time needed between Skyrim SE, and the script extendeder update.
This wasnt a silent update, any modder would have known about this update for years. They will probably continue to make Fallout London in the previous games version, then make patches for the updated version for people who cant get an earlier version
@@gamertardguardian1299 I won't say who, but someone I spoke to during the making of this video raised this exact point, and said "I have no idea why they would even make a statement over such a non-issue"
I have to agree with them.
@@gamertardguardian1299 The devs have stated on their subReddit that this is not the case. Non-next gen Fallout 4 versions will not be supported.
I like how modders basically own this franchise now
I wouldn't go that far, but modders have 100% kept this 10 year old game alive, well, and in some cases thriving
I mean, there isn't alot of studios that are that friendly when it's comes to major fan projects, nor do they usually give them so tools to create them.
It's like Bethesda put some basic old and half broken house and modders turned it into a fully fleshed out mansion with 3 garages, 4 living rooms and 20 toilets lol. It wasn't even playable in some cases without mods. And thank God we got the fixes.
@@kwileby09....are you implying that Bethesda is large modder project friendly? 💀
Unfortunately not
Fallout London takes place in a dilapidated, run down city full of crime, despair, hopelessness, lack of functioning services, ruin and urban decay and a near total lack of law and order. In other words, it takes place in London.....
This is also a perfect description of Detroit, though...
Roasted
You have clearly never been to London
I've never been to London but I'm sure it's a lot better than most gun nut crazed, militarized police, rampant drug use, and all sorts of other bads that's infested most American cities.
they are attacking the community
Hi! Thank you so much for covering us! We're very excited to show more of our progress this year so everyone can stay tuned!
Quite an amazing video!!
See you in Seattle! 🌲
Huge news, I'll be following every step of the way and looking forward to it.
I may or may not have great interest in siding with the Red Leafs js, you know nothing to do with being Canadian or anything
Console or just p.c
@jtcattanio if you'd actually watch the video it clearly states that all of these are PC only because console doesn't support Fallout 4 Script Extender.
@@bobross8585 I could watch it all.. just anted to know that thank much ass. 🤣😂
@@jtcattanio PC only due to console and our dependencies limitations
Since Miami will have joinable Enclave, i would LOVE to see a compatibility with America's Rising 2. Imagine how cool would it be when at the end of the America Rising 2's questline, General Ward asked you to travel to the Vacation Wasteland and support the Enclave chapter there.
I don't think so
I sided with Whitehill so I don’t know if that would work
Integration with America Rising 2 would be the crowning jewel of the Enclave in Miami.
Project arroyo and vault 13 is an awesome concept I’m super excited for these
LITERALLY can't wait for them, they're gonna be taking up far too much real estate on my channel when (if) they come out
@@SnailOXD dude I’m not gonna have a life when they do, I’m also excited to see if they do small content mod releases like project Mojave and capital wasteland so that u can make Boston feel more like the interplay aesthetic, I already use mods moribund world and classic fallout ambient music replacer but it’s still not enough to make it feel like the originals.
Like weapons, asset replacers, enemy’s, and stuff like that. But mostly I want Marcus as a follower again, I’ve always had super mutant followers just because that feels like the fallout thing to do but I just could not get myself to use strong it’s obnoxious hearing about milk of human kindness every 5 seconds
I would love to see a modern "Tale of Two Wastelands" mod which combines the remastered Fallout 3, New Vegas and Fallout 4 into one massive game. You're born in 3, bring clean water to the Capital Wasteland and stop the Enclave, then take a job as a courier and make your way out west only to get shot in the head and left for dead. But you survive and take control of the Hoover Dam, restore power to New Vegas and end the war between the NCR and Legion. Afterwards you head back east, arrive in the Commonwealth. When you stumble upon Vault 111 you discover the sole survivor of the vault and help them find their missing son and rid the Commonwealth of the Institute. Hell, throw Miami in there too because why not.
Imagine if they could age your character each time you jump to the next story. Start as a young man and become a legend who has crossed the American Wasteland multiple times to become the ultimate survivor. I would build a PC just for that.
imagine the load times tho, be like starfield on steroids. this is Bethesda were talking about
You know I actually once did a full playthrough of the main series games, but every character had the same last name, so they were all related to one another. Definitely a fun way to play through the series, I recommend it.
However yeah that would be an excellent way to play the 3D games, even better if there was a mod that took you through it
This would be legendary. And also a few decades down the line...
So, after killing Mr. House and defeating NCR and the Legion you head east instead of consolidating your power over the mojave?
@@Joh-pt8gy well you know, I don't live there so it's a "not my problem" sorta situation
I love how the term "DLC sized" could apply to anything, considering one of the earliest DLC's in history was Oblivion's horse armor.
Yeah, it's a little funny to put it that way, but I think the intent is to convey how much content the mod will have in comparison to others
To be fair most modders on these teams use the term "full conversion mod".
@@theninjamaster67 a full conversion/total conversion and a fan DLC are completely different things. A DLC mod is designed to play like any Fallout 4 DLC, with content that is accessible from the Commonwealth and builds onto your existing gameplay. A total conversion requires a new save because it literally changes your game into a completely different game with no connection to Fallout 4’s story or content.
@@uuntiedshoelace Well that's what these are aiming for they're entirely different games with a different character hence why I said "the modders on these teams call them total conversions".
@@uuntiedshoelace Although to be fair my phrasing probably could've been a little more clear about that.

Thank you for taking the time to interview Metamoth for this video! People often will cover F4NV without doing much research, nice to see that change for once!
I couldn't imagine not at least opening communication with SOMEONE at F4NV, honestly. I feel like outlets and *some* creators think too hard about uploading coverage of a big project like this without taking the time to reach out to the humans making these projects possible, and I was happy I was able to do that.
No problem, and thank you for watch!
Im glad f4nv is communicating with you. I haven't heard any updates from them in a long time I was starting to worry
Oh they're super active! Mostly on their community discord so if you want to keep up to date I'd say join there
I really hope the F4SE team will be capable of working with the new update completely, lots of this mods have gotten delayed because of the next gen update, the F4SE team are very skilled people so they'll surely will have a complete and fully working script extender soon enough
The already have
@@thestratcat2803 True, but it isn't really stable because bethesda is going to be throwing some updates more to do some bugfixes making the F4SE team have to update more the SE, just like today they just updated the SE again because bethesda did another update
@noctisdrake8020 oh I didn't know I just look on the nexus thread and saw last updated today
depends on whenever Bethesda decides to simply stop updating a ten-year-old game. IMO, they never should have updated it to begin with, but here we are.
Until we get a stable, "this sticks for a couple years" game version I doubt we'll see these come to market. Either that or the devs just decide "fuck it, just release it for 1.10.163"
@@SnailOXD Well at least with FO4 we have a small modpocalips so it isn't as bad since a huge amount of mods don't really need F4SE, unlike in Skyrim when the game was updated and the modpocalips really hit everyone hard. if anything the biggest lost in all this was the in game mod menu, it had some actual good mods in it that aren't on the nexus or anywhere else
As someone who now lives in Seattle, Fallout Cascadia is the one I anticipate the most. Maybe, being local to the area, I could assist in some way with development at some point.
I stand in awe of all these volunteers who give their time and expertise to create these new mods - really looking forward to their debuts
They're all fantastic and dedicated. They're following their passions and we get to enjoy them; I can't wait
I really hope they complete their mods. It is a long and hard work to make such a huge mod.
Oh yeah; mos tof these have been in the works for nearly as long as Fallout 4 has been out, and they've all made fantastic progress
F4SE was updated within DAYS of the Next Gen update and yet its been almost a month and not a peep. I doubt it was ready. These other conversion mods look AWESOME though, I had neverheard of any but New Vegas! Truly incredible people love this game so much to do these projects
Tons of much smaller but still popular mods that haven't updated yet and are partially or completely broken, it's not as simple as just getting the F4SE update.
Other needed mods are still broken, like extended dialogues. Plus, a third update by Bethesda is supposed to drop again soon, which may break everything, again
"24/7" for a full weekend" so not 24/7 then, more like 24/2

@@6lbBassFisherman-vt4fs if you want, you can always take suggestions like this to their community discord! They seem pretty active and they make a lot of announcements there as opposed to anywhere else online
As awesome as all of these projects look on paper, I'm really not holding my breath for any of them actually coming out.
Especially since Bethesda keeps updating FO4 as of late and they gotta work around that
yeah, ultimately, none of the projects were willing to give me an estimate on release date. I actually didn't even ask for a date, my original question was "what percentage of progress do you think you've made?" They all more-or-less declined to comment.
However if even one sees the light of day thats a win in my book. If Bethesda goes silent again, only to update just before the release of another one, then we know it's on purpose. IMO the devs should just release for 1.10.163 since it's the last good version of the game anyway
Lmfao shitty UA-camr wants to gain some views off clickbait, there’s no fucking conspiracy abt Bethesda updating the game my god. They’re just shitty third party mods that think they’ll be a life changing thing
@@SnailOXD I wouldn't worry about the no-comment part, stating a release date for a mod could just mean trouble due to some community members being absolutely rabid.
I believe Fallout: London was originally going to release on v163, but got delayed as the developers wanted everybody to be able to enjoy the mod.
I think both F4NV and Miami will come out at some point. Cascadia aint never coming out, double the size of 4, naaahh.

if... a big IF, bethesda wanted to be on the top spot, they could contact some modrs and implement a patch that imbedded F4SE or actualy increase their script limit... one can only dream.
this would be the most ideal course of action. From what I understand Bethesda does actually have some contact with the F4SE team, but I don't know that it's official by any means
@@SnailOXD think cuz they can "compress" things or make space more easily.

They're some of the biggest, most ambitious projects in modding history, and there are more projects I'll have to go over in another video. All in all, extremely exciting and I look forward to their release for sure
Imagine what frank will look and sound like in project arroyo its gonna be awesome!
My favourite low intelligence speak option from NV is telling Veronica that you heard the brotherhood can shoot lasers out of there eyes.
I don't care how long it takes even if it takes 5-10 years to do the developers should take their time on these projects to make sure they come out in the best condition possible.
also where I'm at. I'm good to wait, I'm just looking forward to a great experience.
Yea.. they should pass it on to there kids to work on.. put about 45 years of work an 2 generations. for almost a hour worth of content for a 60 year old game. 😮
@@Tryin2dobetter I'm gonna play em, hour long or not. If I'm on my deathbed I'll just make some calls
They need to do a Valve and let these mod expansions have a steam page
I believe The Frontier has one for NV.
Of course, Frontier quality and controversy aside, it's a good sign that this could be the case. Fallout London is actually partnering with GOG to host their mod
There already is an alligator enemy. Gatorclaws from Nuka World.
I have yet to play through Nuka World, believe it or not. I only own it for mod requirements
We know! Snapjaws are a different enemy.
One of the best parts about these game-sized projects (if/when they ever come out) is the mods people will create which will be compatible with all of them. A new Frontier (pun fully intended) for Fallout modding is about to open up.
lmaooooo Frontier
Yeah, that's gonna be extremely exciting. The best part about bigger mods like this is when the community expands on them, like with other mods such as Sim Settlements 2. I don't expect Fallout 4 modding to go away any time soon, Starfield simply doesn't scratch the same itch
really nice vid, thanks for giving a shout out to all these amazing looking mods. Fingers crossed Beth stops messing with the game for a while and we can have a stable version of F4 so we can start playing with mods and total conversions again
thank you for the kind words; ultimately I'm just a fallout fan excited about these mods just like you guys are, so I'm happy to share them.
Honestly I think at this point mod teams should prepare to release strictly for 1.10.163 since it's the last version that is compatible with over 98% of current and past mods
These mods look amazing. I hope they can all figure out how to get things done after all these nextgen updates and fixes.
Im hoping so. If it helps, the teams I spoke to were not terribly concerned about the Next Gen Update but that might have been stoic optimism on their parts. In any case, even if it becomes too difficult or contrived they should release for 1.10.163 anyway IMO
@@SnailOXD I think if the tools worked prior to the update that they'll be able to get it running properly. I doubt that the devs for the game would go so far as to do anything that would break things irrepairably, I mean the game is many years old and mods like these are a much bigger draw than anything other than the new show.
i think i just love the idea of cascadia and Miami is cause we haven't seen those corners of the USA yet really
Right! And different regions will carry with them different takes on pre-war life, as well as how that translates into a post-post apocalyptic setting.
Fallout is really about how society evolves to adapt to extreme circumstances, and it permeates almost every facet of the games, from the Kings religion in New Vegas to the Children of Atom in the Bethesda games
fallout 4 arroyos sounds like the dream of making fran Horrigan 3d
I heard Fallout Miami was going to have the Enclave in it but plans may have changed as that was stated two years ago
It started more than 2 years ago and yes the Enclave is one of the main factions.

Don't let yourself be misled, guys. We'll see Fallout 5 before any of these remakes are finished. If at all.
Im not sure who was claiming that to begin with to be honest with you. It's totally possible, but doesn't take away from the excitement these projects present either.
I cannot wait to see how Vault 13 does Necropolis and the Cathedral.
Im also really interested in how they do the time limits that were present in Fallout 1 and if they’ll not include them or not.
So, it could be they won't bother with time limits, but I can't confirm nor deny
That being said hell yeah 3d Necropolis and Cathedral would be tight AF. Still kind of shocking how little people know about some of the most unique locations in the game because they're in F1

The update feels like a big FU to the london FO4 mod creators. They knew exactly when the mod would be released.
It could be, but ultimately FOLON knew exactly what the deal was when they started making their mod. Bethesda's rule has always been that they'll never make accomodations at the expense of what they want to do with their game. Now, I don't necessarily agree with them doing that, but it is the unwritten agreement every modder enters into with Fallout.
That being said, they did not need to choose to delay it; that was their elective to do so, and they could have just released what they had. I've helped over 100,000 people rollback their Fallout 4 versions, so there's no way Team FOLON could argue that no one would play it
I dont understand why they dont Just release Fallout london? You can Roll back your game Version and it doesnt need any of yhe stuff from the new update so why delay it? Just because they want it to run on the live version for seemingly no reason? Shot themselves in the foot.
I kind of agree, I think 1.10.163 is going to be the last good version of the game, considering it's the latest one you can play any mod ever made on.
However they've said they want their game to be available for everyone (which doesn't make a whole lot of sense since console and Microsoft store already can't play it)
@SnailOXD But it would be Available for everyone. Everyone who can play fallout london has access to version roll back.
@@Sgt.chickens Right, that's the other component to that. So all-in-all I simply don't understand their reasoning
I mean yeah a lott of ppl use the older version and older mods so their game isnt broken maybe the London team thought it'd bee to much hassle they have to wait until Bethesdas put out all the hot fixes and the script extender mod is fully fledged which could be weeks or month, hell even a year
Looking forward to these!
I hope the XDI gets fixed soon because it's been a mod I reall want to add, but I'll wait.

Since then however, the project is alive and well with them releasing a plethora of standalone mods and an entire recreation of the point lookout dlc with their own cast of voices which is also their plan for the main mod. Recently they have also been working on a complete recreation of the Pitt dlc as well, with them even expanding that world space. In fact they were doing so well that BGS even hired some of their team members.
@Smorgasvord they did... for a couple of months. The issue was using audio from fallout 3. They scrapped the reused sounds and kept working.
ngl not having killable kid in the remake of the OG when they're trying to be authentic as possible is crazy to me. Maybe it's just cause Tim Cain (THE original creator of the series) is a huge inspiration to me but given how he's talked about *why* it's important for the game, for them to get rid of it either shows they don't fully get of what made the first game so special (or are atleast willing to compromise it), or they're willing to make fundamental changes to the core of what is essentially a FO1 remake. That's not inherently a bad thing, but it is telling.
If you had to pinpoint another change you might see in Vault 13, what would it be?
I don't even remember seeing a single kid in the first Fallout. I know the European version of 2 removed them, which broke some quests, but transplanting some files was enough to fix it.
oh yeah, that will definitely make a huge difference in the quality of mods.
You people are such hecking pussies, jesus.
I’m very excited to try one of these total conversion mods like fallout London it’ll be interesting to see if it feels like an actual full fallout game like they’re saying it is
Fallout London has to hurry up, Im having a hard time containing my excitement
In the mean time though I'll be playing the DLC remake for Point Lookout, which is from Capital Wasteland team, new video for that one too if you havent seen it yet
Thinking about it, there has got to be untouched areas in the world free of nuclear fallout, if there is any information about this that could be a video idea, love the videos ❤
While I'd actually love to do that video, it would be tough because of the little information available.
However the concept is still really entertaining so I might as well go for it. Thanks!
Any word on Capital Wasteland?
Getting it's own video! Stay tuned
Video for CW coming this week :)
@@SnailOXD can't wait to find out what is going on with CW.
@@lesroquel for reference, they're still working on it and have declined to give me a release date, which is pretty standard of all the mods. But they're actively working on the Pitt DLC and the Point Lookout DLC is out now on Nexus
Here's the word on Capital Wasteland ua-cam.com/video/tPlwfEzVpQU/v-deo.html
Have a little faith, Bethesda promotes the modding community. I’m willing to wait a month or two for Fallout London to release. God save the King!
Yeah, I try to ascribe to the belief that Bethesda isn't out to sabotage anyone, and my comms with the mod teams would verify that, especially in Cascadia's case
Actually surprised Capital Wasteland isnt here, great vid!
Getting its own video :) I figured it deserved as much
@@SnailOXD Nice. 🤙🏾
Capital Wasteland video made it ua-cam.com/video/tPlwfEzVpQU/v-deo.html
"Other than Skyrim, no other game is as modable as Fallout 4."
Excuse me, Classic Doom would like a word.
I dont know why but I tend to classify WADs as their own thing, although DOOM is absolutely right up there. Some have also pointed out Minecraft, but I routinely forget Minecraft even exists most of the time
@@SnailOXD Doesn't help that the game falls in and out of favor with UA-cam.
WHICH ONE ARE YOU MOST EXCITED FOR?

sounds great to me i cant wait to see fallout 1 and fallout miami too it looks great so far
oi friend can we download any atm ?
Well, I want Capital Wasteland, which not been mentioned😂
@@sereevna_losstunes yes i almost forgot me too it be so amazing on todays Fallout 4 Engine
Oh fallout 4 NV without a doubt
Most of these sadly never be completed. Developers will lose interest, time, drive. And that's completely normal for projects like that, sadly.
We can still hope, though
@@SnailOXD you can hope for the return of jesus christ too, but it will not change anything.
looking forward to The Master in Vault 13 being utterly terrifying
It'll be kinda crazy when we walk in there and a Dark Souls style HUD pops up and we can suddenly dodge roll :/
In all seriousness, that is ONE major thing I'm really looking forward to with any 3D remake of F1. It's my favourite RPG in the series
@@SnailOXD I’m just interested how their going to go about transferring what made Fo1 special like it’s particular character building system into the post-Bethesda ARPG format while still maintaining the feel of the original. I don’t think their just gonna recreate the fo1 locations and quests and plop them all into worldspaces and call it a day
my totally unrealistic hope is that they rework the fast travel to work like the map screen
same for Project Arroyo
3:51 i think they missed an opportunity to rename the sole survivor to the florida man/woman. still super excited tho
oh my god yes they DID, if you join their discord community you can always suggest it
Fallout New Vegas biggest point of suffering was the combat. Fallout 4 biggest strength was the combat.
Yes, I'd 100% agree to this, combat is the best part of Fallout 4 and it helps serve Bethesda's exploration loop in a really satisfying way
I know there arent any plans for it right now, and its not possible at the moment because of how big these mods are, but I'd love to see these projects be playable on consoles in the future
The sad part is I don't believe it'll ever be possible, and there's a couple major reasons,
1. 2GB Limit on any Bethesda.net mods
2. Even if there was no limit, F4SE would 100% be required. F4SE works by "hooking into" and extending the scripting capabilities of the .exe. This is something that just isn't possible on console versions, and even on gamepass/MSFT store versions it's not possible. Different .exes, and added security features. Beats me as to why, but that's the situation as far as the F4SE team has explained it.
Now, if you could somehow hack/mod your console and put the modded game on a nicely packed file, /in theory/ it could be possible, but this is assuming the console can read the packed file/exe
Always wanted a fallout project based in the south so we can get a rad swamp with ghoul-billies
I wouldn't be surprised if we saw an official "Fallout New Orleans" happen some time soon. I think Bethesda realizes people don't really want another east coast Fallout, but I don't think they're interested in going West Coast either (don't blame em). Appalachia was a step toward this, but it has the misfortune of being in F76.
Was hoping to see fallout: A Better World in this video. It's the mod I have the most intrigue in because of how relatively small it is yet seems so much more fruitful in its design.
Really looking forward to Vault 13. I love fo1s atmosphere and I hope they capture that. Looking forward to seeing what the super mutants look like.
Same, easily my favourite pre-Beth Fallout
I'd be happy if only one of them is as great as we're hoping.
"no killable kids" nothing like a few minutes with FO4Edit couldn't solve lol
Fr, I’m confused as to why they’re removing it. They don’t need an ESRB rating.
😂😂😂😂😂
@@coolmonke161I got a better question…..why exactly do you want it so badly😂📸
@@stubblytuna4068
@@stubblytuna4068 Because it’s an RPG, I should have the freedom of choice to kill anyone I want. Especially in a free mod that doesn’t need an ESRB rating, how is this going to affect your sales? Plus it’s just pixels.
Miami could use the Daedroth from Elder Scrolls as inspiration for the mutated Croc/Gator
surely will change everything, If, y'know, they ever come out.
Duuuude, Imagine using the TARDIS Mod for these, it would be so cool to travel Miami or Seattle or even Fallout 1 and 2 in the TARDIS!
I’m super stoked for all of these. What’s the song that was playing in the Fallout Arroyo part?
So that audio is actually found on their showcase video here on YT (check description for their link). I know, it's so good and uses one of my favourite standards in 50's pop music
@@SnailOXD Thanks man, I found out it’s Where the Boys Are by Connie Francis
@@zachshipman975 thanks, adding this to my playlist rn actually 😂
Any full mods or overhauls already released? i only play frost, is there anyother?
In terms of Overhauls, there's a few but they'll conflict with Frost of course.
In terms of Total Conversions? I had a brief look and couldn't really find any substantial
I have some extra pictures from F4NV, let me know if you are interested in receiving them and using them for the next video maybe? Got a good amount, probably not seen by any major FO content creators yet :D
Off of their discord? Or are you a dev?
Also curious about this
I have hope for the remake overhauls since they have templates to work off. It's the original overhauls I fear for. The only 3D Fallout original overhaul I've seen praised is Dust, and it's sequel Frost, but those are very different from what these other mods are aiming for.
When you say you fear for them, you mean like Horizon? Frost and Dust definitely still have their place within the modding community
@@SnailOXD Nah Horizon is more like an overhaul of the existing game. I should have said conversions, not overhaul, sorry. Think ZERO, New California, and The Frontier.
Doesn't help that I mentioned Dust and Frost, which are more overhauls than conversions. My bad.
@@bruhtholemew ah, no worries, I get what you're saying now.
I have hope for these, I think we'll see all of them put *something* out, if not necessarily the full game.
Although it would be kinda sweet to have FROST but in Cascadia lol
13 is going to be a weird one... the original game took a long time because combat took a long time. When you were in that initial cave after leaving the vault it took like 20 minutes to kill those rats. A 3d remake will take maybe 15 seconds.
At the pace of Fallout 4 the game will be super short.
It could be different if they plan on expanding the exploration loop to fit Fallout 4's gameplay (which I believe is the plan anyway). But yes, that's a point I haven't thought about till now, actually; combat in F1 took a lot more time due to it's nature, and should probably be scaled upward to fit the context of 3D real time combat.
I do know for fact they plan to expand the game world in a massive way; we're actually getting a playable demo later this year with the first map area available for play (includes pretty much the whole northern side of the map)
@@SnailOXD It looks like they intend on using vast swaths of empty desert to replace the fast travel system of the original... if they add a ton of random encounters to find it could really work and somewhat help to lengthen gameplay.
@@polydynamix7521 yeah! That would be huge, and apparently they're also expanding cityscapes as well, so I'm hoping we get to see a massive version of The Hub. Hopefully we also get "that gun" in a similar location, because that was fun
wow, i never heard about most of these. Cascadia looks especially cool. Hopefully we get at least one finished game that isn't as much of a disaster as the frontier
They look awesome, but honestly I think Frontier was a victim of egos and issues from within more than anything
I’ll believe it when any of these actually come out
There's no guarantees; after all, these are volunteer projects. But belief and interest definitely keeps them going
Currently playing FNV for first time. Love it so far. Can’t wait for the F4 mod for nv
Wow I would like to commend you for commenting on most comments, thats incredible!
All in a day's work. The least I can do is talk to you guys, thank you
My bad lads, had to get the widescreen didn't I
Can't wait to play FO:Miami
Will they release the London mod for the pre next gen update? I did not update my game.
Nope, they're going to rework it for NG Update
I actually hope we eventually get Fallout Florida Fallout Ohio Fallout Detroit and Fallout Australia
I really wonder how the remake will do the Highwaymen, if it'll just be fast travel or truly driveable. I just started olaying through New Vegas, so I'm really interested in that.
The only entry on this list I'm optimistic about actually releasing is Fallout London, tbh.
Spot on. Not sure why this guy's even covering these mods because with the exception of Fallout London, they're all years away- and that might even apply to London as well.
Short answer: because I like them and want to talk about them. If you have a suggestion for something better, I'm all ears
@@SnailOXD I certainly respect that (not that 'that' is necessary). I very much enjoy the Fallout universe; have for quite some time now, so endless apologies if I offended. It just seems that everything associated with Fallout is years away at the earliest, unless one's talking about 76- and that can in no way be compared with 3, 4, NV, or (from what I've seen) any of these mods. Anyway, by all means keep doing what you're doing. What you're covering that's coming down the pike is certainly better than what we currently have. Cheers...
@@manilajohn0182 no worries, you haven't offended me. I asked because I genuinely want to know what you guys would like to see :) it's hard to gauge interest a lot of the time on UA-cam so many times it's a guessing game (example, last WW 2 weapon mod vid didn't land like this video and the last TC mod video)
However getting stale is also a concern of mine; realistically, how many more of these mods can I cover? Not many, and at some point something's gotta give. To this end, I'm totally open to suggestion
@@SnailOXD Well, I'm fairly narrow in my interests, so I'd not be of much help to ya. Fallout is actually one of the few areas I'm truly interested in, so I should have actually not made my OP at all. My impression is that I'm likely part of a small group- who believes that BGS dropped the ball on Fallout big time and that anything good associated with the series just seems to be forever in the future. But you do you. Since you're covering Fallout, +1 sub...

is it possible to use any nexus mods on the new fallout 4 update,or it will cause any issue with the game?
