There’s a mod on Xbox called “Place Anywhere” that lets you place stuff anywhere. I always have it in my mod load order.

I used sim setlement 2 luv it cause i many play FO4 jus build lol use place anywhere or everywhere i forget which an also use scrap everthing so i basically can start from square one if i need to in a place but some these other mods bout addin more stuff to build wit my snappy house kit looked good

On Xbox there is a mod called place anywhere, that is very similar to place everywhere, just have to do an extra step to place items in workshop mode.

what's the point? Fallout 3 is still relatively current-gen

I’m still flabbergasted that Bethesda hasn’t backed this by making a full on remake with this crew yet (2024). I understand Bethesda wanting to keep the identity of Fallout 3, but that mod looks like an amazing rendition that is holding true to what makes Fallout 3 so special. I seriously doubt that any Fallout fan wouldn’t want this remake.

I haven't been to galaxy news and I have completed the main questline... Couldn't figure out how to get into that section of the dc ruins until I stumbled across rivet while walking south along the riverside hoping there would be an entrance.

if you want to use combined arms with mods that require an incompatible skeleton use the discrete skeleton mod this way you can avoid skeleton conflicts.

Weird. I was going to say that I don't get this effort at all. Fallout 3 is still perfectly playable, looks okay, and came out only 7 years before Fallout 4. But then I thought of the Skywind project, porting Morrowind to the Skyrim engine. It's such a huge difference - and those games are only an additional 2 more years away from each other.

I feel like this remake looks too clean. it could be the textures or the lightning but imo it doesn't really capture the atmosphere of 3

Moving Fallout outside of the US really misses the point of the Parody of American culture of the 1950s and American futurism of the time. Its a quick way to tell me that someone doesn't get the satire of American naivety of that era. Thankfully Todd Howard and Bethesda has confirmed that they will never officially do that as it misses the theme and point of the whole story.

The modder community should contemplate pulling together and lending their abilities collectively to knock off these mods.

We know Bethesda did this to sabotage a better product. Just like they cut the production time of New Vegas.

I've been really into Fallout videography/photography/machinima for years. I start a lot of projects, but with this ADHD brain, I often struggle with decision fatigue about what to capture, and for what. I think my work could really benefit the modding community, especially those who'd appreciate surprise batches of high-quality images or videos for their mods. (I say surprised because I don’t really do well when things are expected of me by a deadline. 😅) Basically I'm looking to connect with modders who might be interested in what I can offer without relying on me too heavily. But hey, who wouldn't love some cool visual content as a bonus, right? i dont entirely agree with making the characters in the mods like real life caricatures, for example the florida man. i feel like the whole point of fallout originally was to show that society from the old world was gone and dusted. and the society that emerged is something new and unfamiliar. one of my gripes with fallout 2 and 4 was having a lot of characters based on old world caricatures, for example the new reno familys. i give fallout new vegas a break because vegas itself was actually preserved, and there is a living human controlling the city from before the war. but it would be refreshing to go on an adventure and find unfamiliar things, and see how they turned vice city into their own playground of sorts

if the project is still anything like the old leaked version, then a tale of 3 wastelands is possible. from what i know, the mod is 99.99% self contained, with only the fo4 main quest's first prewar quest being changed to redirect into the capital wasteland one. if this is redone, you can easily get a t3w.

Game still kinda runs bad in large city’s on ps5 at 60 fps option. They still haven’t optimizes it. Haven’t tried downloading on my pc yet.
