All in good fun. Back to back mono pulls is nutty but that’s the fun of Catan.
To be honest. If i would be one of your opponents, seeing a dude that is constantly talking about "we need to stop him, we need to work together", spamming in the chat without response, spamming dozens of trade opportunities... I guess that guy would see my robber each turn.... Just saying. For my taste, your way to communicate that game was a bit to much. 😅
But i guess thats different depending on the ranking.
haha! I was definitely extra on this one and I get your point completely. That being said, we did end up working out a deal that got me the spot. So you could easily argue it worked out because I was proactive - If I lose the race, I definitely lose the game. At the end of the day, got to hustle when you need to make it happen.
To be fair, blue's unwillingness to communicate or do anything to help prolong the game would have driven me up the wall too. Only so much you can do when people ignore messages
Really minor but 20:22 you could have traded wood for brick with blue 1:1 and got your city a turn earlier. If not I’m sure that trade would have gone through at 21:32 when you traded 2 ore to black for a wheat. Or even 2 wood for a brick with blue and then 2:1 the brick for the wheat. Not to say that would have necessarily altered the course of the game but the 2 ore you gave black allowed him to city his next turn.
This is the type of game that gets me to take a break for a few days, what a brutal slog 😂

when u were searching for that first city, could have just worked for a brick instead of selling so much for a wheat. Seemed like wood for brick was possible for a couple rounds there. WP regardless
9510 on top to the woodport woulda been the better pick ey? But I'ma trust you to make anything work
9510 might be a bit too slow imo… Ideally with the 9411 you have a play for connecting for longest road.
Correct me if im wrong but if drew traded the kitchen sink to help oj break black’s road at 6-3. Road would have been drew’s, right?

Hard to beat 2 monos, but can we be honest? Orange was greedy, yes, but the flapping of the butterfly wings that turned into this hurricane of a game were your settlement spots, no? Your 9-4-11 to be more specific. Way too risky, only 3 resources that were not even that rare and do not communicate well (hence all the clunky hands, 7outs, unsuccessful trade attempts) besides dropping roads. Plus, had they not helped you settle on 6-5-11, you'd literally be locked in and your roads would be useless. From what I've learned of this game, partially from you, it all started with... your own choices here.
poor hand managament this game...had many oppurtunities to drop roads to 6 11 12 but waitied too long...u live and u learn.
