An iconic drummer he was, I remember seeing him live right about this time in Santa Cruz California....he lived in that area at the time. That said, IMHO, this was maybe the most insignificant period in his career, as he reverted back to more traditional stuff, it never really stood out to me, but I didn't care because he was "Tony Williams" and he was one of my heroes. A great Jazz drummer, a great Rock drummer and a great musician. His contributions to music will never be forgotten. RIP Tony!!!!!
Tony reigns supreme in the history of the drum set art.
T Bone as I call Him Is The Greatest Jazz, Rock and Fusion Drummer We have ever known. TONY. T Bone Did It All.
Tony is a real monster mixing different styles and tecniques, far beyond traditional jazz chops !
Merci you tube pour ce jazz qui a de la gueule......

Mr. Anthony Tillman Williams, gone but eternally here.

The best drummer in history. Sorry Buddy Rich, music is music
Yes.
No doubt in my mind
He didn’t hold back did he! Amazing to see a jazz drummer playing with the intensity and volume of a rock drummer.
Wallace is a true giant!!! Great guy also!!!
Tony is phenomenal !!!
Aside from his drumming genius, Tony was a brilliant songwriter too.
Putting it mildly - time, taste, technique, and great quality of sound...
Rest Easy Mr. Wallace.

I'm a professional bass player. I would have given my eye-teeth to play with a drummer at this level of genius.
Saw him in Mpls right about this time. Incredible!
Damn, this is priceless footage! Never seen it before today!
Tony was mainly jazz with a bit of rock, and what a combination.

It’s all ego.
Needs more space. More bass. Less drums. Band should periodically disappear. More extremes of tempo.
