Your need for transparency in explaining the lack of showing the beginning of the process for this piece is testament to your deep-seated honest nature and your desire to set clear expectations. It's not just the stellar quality of talent and skill that you bring to the pieces you save; it's the quality of your character. You're truly a good person, and that shows very clearly in every video. Plus, the furniture is always gorgeous.

In your introduction, you say that you refinish furniture. What you really do is breathe new life into every piece you work on. You're deliberative, thoughtful and incredibly skilled. Wonderful makeover amidst the chaos.
Even more impressive for me is how you saved all of those gift receipts and found a way to turn them into a keepsake. Many UA-camrs say they are grateful for their viewers. However, your actions speak volumes to this.
My best wishes for continued success ... and the return of that little card.

The proverb you showed at the beginning is so apt for this time. I have never in my 65 years, lived through a period of time where so many people are mean. A kind gesture or a smile is such a small thing but it can completely alter a persons day for the better. We need to be kinder to each other. The cabinet turned out beautifully by the way I would love something like this in my home in England.

As someone brought up by a mom who was a student, I was often settled in the stacks of the university library as my babysitter, with a stack of books on the floor, and card catalogs watching over me and keeping me company. I later worked and retired from the library system, so this piece felt like home to me. I love the colors, wood and wood grain, and the hardware choices. If I had a home, this is a piece, along with many others you've done, like what I'd want in my home. Angie, your fans are unique in that I think many of us are fans of you, your integrity, humor, honesty and style, as well as your incredible skills and aesthetics. So, you won't lose us over the small stuff(like a missing card). I would bet most of us watch for more than one thing, one reason. And many of us look forward to the next video, whenever that is.

It is a testament to how much you care about your work that the loss of 15 minutes of video had you looking like you'd lost your best friend. I didn't miss those 15 minutes at all. You more than made up for them with the wonderful Amazon gift-receipt book and the adorable bunny ornaments. The cabinet looks beautiful, as always.

Honestly, the referenced parallel work on the cabinets she did earlier fully covered the missing footage, and then we got the bonus of all the clever things she's doing with the laser cutter. And wanting to archive the Amazon gift notes speaks to an important part of why we love Angie so much -- not only a creative woodworker but a person who cares.

As someone having *_NO_* creative artistic talent whatsoever, I cannot be anything but blown away by your projects. I never would have thought of the laser-cut veneer inlays, and the dark-wax finish was incredible.

Angie, just when I was pondering the (for me, brand new info) possibility of using GRAIN FILLER to bring out the grain in a dresser that I'm ever so S-L-O-W-L-Y getting done, you gave me another idea option with the dark wax (which I already HAVE)! Thank you! I like both your treatments of these pieces, but am a big fan of celebrating the beauty of wood as you did in this current version. Also, you have done SO MUCH to make every video complete, that the loss of your beginning routine steps in this one is no biggie, imo!

The explanation at the start of the SD (‘sadly disappeared 🥴) card stands as testament to your character as you didn’t use an excuse to hide it. That piece is just class. The shots of, what I presume is your local area, absolutely elevated this video to another level; more of that please! Here in the southern part of the UK we don’t see snow like that at all often; one snowflake & everything grinds to a halt!😂 BTW, don’t stress about stuff if you can, it’s wasted energy😉👍🏻

  • @alliekingsley7919

I love how that laser cut veneer just elevates this piece a little bit more and makes it visually distinct from its siblings... and I have a weakness for academia styling, since I'm currently decorating my bedroom in a mixture of really ornate stylized floral print fabrics (and heavy velvet drapes!) for my bedding and light academia decor! It's so lovely to be able to see pieces like this being given new life!

Fabulous job on the filing cabinet. What a transformation and love how it is exactly the same piece of furniture but has turned out so different to the other two. I can sympathise with the lost card. Whenever l watch one of these slick repair videos on UA-cam l always feel like uploading my reality - the one where the drill runs out of charge the minute you pick it up, you can’t find the screwdriver you put down a second ago and the fiddly screws which have a life of their own and always drop down into the most awkward to reach places! 😂

I know I’m not the only one who thinks this but - I love this community. I will watch anything you want to show us. I really enjoyed watching the lazer cut out pieces of veneer, so precise. I love seeing the ornaments and the coasters and the way you have saved all the Amazon cards. I hope your coming week is better. I know the SD card will turn up, probably tonight. Greetings from Norway again to Angie, wife, cats and bunnies. And deer.
I haven't envied you the laser so far because I din't believe it could defend the cost. After the process you have shown today however, I must admit to having developed a clear shade of green where my makeup should be. Hm. LOVE the result. Anyway, have been burning fun quotes into wood lamp bases with my soldering iron today and came across this by Thompson; bloody brilliant and I hope it makes you smile. Have a brilliant X-mas and a happy new year you lot! Winter hugs from Mette xxx
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ‘Wow! What a Ride!'”

I'm never disappointed with your videos or the work that you do. You transcended the technical glitch gracefully and gave your viewers a full video, as well as a peek at the adorable bunny ornaments that you made for the rescue and your keepsake file of gift receipts. I'm wishing you and yours warm and happy holiday and a great New Year.

I love how you do feminine and masculine equally well. It shows the depth of your creativity. I love your crisp thoughtful designs as much as Made by Marley’s boho designs. I have learned so much from both of you. Different but similar too. Both types expertly crafted and explained. I just mention it here because I love both ends of the design spectrum. I watch you for the attention to detail with an explanation that makes sense in caring for the piece using respectful precision that makes me joyful. Thank you for delivering magic each and every time!!

If you hadnt mentioned it, no one would have noticed how you began this video....or probably cared. It worked beautifully on its own without the sanding and other prep work. We watch your videos to see you, listen to your chamomile tea-like voice and witness the final, satisfying result. Always a fun, educational and entertaining time.

Angie, this is the most interesting video. Not just because of your cabinet turned out very, very beautiful, but you showed how you enjoy your laser and what you did with it, no you also showed your wonderful wildlife, the deer at night with heavy snowfall. I could have watched the deer for hours. Thanks so much for sharing it with us.
