Your honesty on this piece, the struggle with the top, was appreciated. This work isn’t always easy. Love the fact you weren’t willing to sell it on an iffy quality glue adhesion. That’s integrity. 👍
I use rubber cement to glue the veneer. In a well ventilated space, apply cement to both furniture surface and veneer back. Let both dry thoroughly. Space out long, thin dowel rods on surface. Align veneer on top. Working from the center, pull the middle rod out and smooth outward. Remove rods, one at a time, and smooth as you go. Once down, it will not come off! So make sure you are lined up!!! This method never fails me. You talked about the veneer lifting. I've never had that to happen with rubber cement.
@@ivylane-homealso, cutting the edges from below is usually best, like a partying knife. Those little edges you dealt with are a pain, though. It's best to leave a millimeter or so, then and it off, then accidentally cut to much off. Beautiful piece, though!
I’m SOOOO glad you made this suggestion! I used to watch The Furniture Guys on PBS some 30 years ago and could’ve sworn Joe - the professional furniture refinisher - used the same contact adhesive that you use for Formica countertops. He laid strips of cardboard across the piece so that when he flipped the veneer on top it didn’t stick. This way he could situate the veneer where he wanted it without problem. Then he pulled out the cardboard strips one by one - starting at the center and working outwards - and used a rubber roller to work the surface smooth. I learned so much from those shows - and I use the reupholstery skills I picked up from Ed to this day. I’m pretty sure those episodes are now available on UA-cam.
This is how a friend of ours who makes cabinets and desks for the state. Except he didn’t use rubber cement either, he use a specially made glue that you let dry and then used a pretty hot tool. But the other thing I noted he said your bottom surface must be sound and very flat or it will dip and carry one during adhesive or when you finished it was down for the next 50 years but if not flat and he used these powerful lamps that painters use to make sure there aren’t any missed spots that had to be filled. And if they found a spot that wasn’t even with the rest of the piece he fixed it. He said if you didn’t, it would always show in the final piece, sometimes it’s best to start with a new base and even then you have to watch for spots. Wood glue isn’t appropriate I don’t know if the guy told the right thing. Did it say to use it in this situation? What did you use, will have to go back and look. Can’t remember now.
You need contact cement for the veneer. And for the bondo…use a 3” plastic spatula.. also on the veneer you need something to smooth out the bubbles. Been there, done it and it works great 👍🏻
@ivylaneinteriors a hard roller to press it down and get the bubbles out. Even a straight, wooden rolling pin could be used as you stick it down, going from one end to the other in one pass. Hi! Great job! One tip for doing veneer sheets. When you’re done ironing (you can iron directly on like a 4-5 setting so mid setting) take a wet cloth or sponge and wipe it down this will show you the spots that didn’t glue down all the way 🫶🏼 then iron those out! But great job! Super helpful to watch you do this!!
I was able to iron the spots down, but I was concerned about the long term. That is why I decided to take it off. It was just a fail all the way around 😩
came here to post this, its normal to not get all the glue set on the first go when doing it like this, you'll want to wipe it down with water and check for your lifted spots and iron those down, let it set, then do that a couple more times till you feel like you've got them all. worse case scenario they will show when you put on your final varnish/wax/etc and you'll have to iron it then re varnish the area

I know, it’s really true. The veneer is a really common failure point. But to have that damaged particle board underneath? My heart sank for you. But I knew you’d overcome it, and I was so curious to see what you had done. Amazing.
8:13 - 10/31/24 I loved watching this. You are amazing and did a beautiful job on this piece. It took you a long time but you did an amazing job explaining and even with your details of something not working. You explained every detail, what you were using, what worked, what didn’t, why and what you were going to do to fix it and what not to do. Thank you so much. I read what messages people wrote and they were all impressed like I was. Thank you for showing us what it takes to do over a piece of furniture that you got for almost nothing but put your heart and soul into it despite the trouble it caused you. We are your cheerleaders.
Holy Cow, what a transformation!! Really appreciate your sharing the ENTIRE process, especially the 'trials and errors'. I learned a great deal. Thank you.
What a labor of love, so much hard work you put in but WOW, it’s gorgeous. Thank you for being humble enough to share even the ‘flops’ as it’s so helpful. Awesome flip and tutorial - huge thanks!!
Thank you for sharing the whole story. I learned a lot from your reflections on how things worked and why they might not have worked as you wanted, how you problem solved to get a more desired result, and I appreciated learning about the different products you tried. I think this illustrated how we sometimes learn the most through challenges . . . 😌
Hi from Cambridge UK. This is now quite, quite lovely. Well done for not giving up. You deserve a medal for persistence and for ensuring that the finished article is perfect
Thank you! Yes, my main concern was for the future owner. I didn’t want that veneer to lift on them down the road. I’ll figure it out on a future project…I hope! 😅
Sometimes, what we have projected in our heads, the piece has a mind of its own. After all that preserveranc and hard work, it paid off. STUNNING!! Very informative.
WOW ! You are amazing , relentless and courageous . I loved loved loved this video . Your honesty is soooo refreshing . Gosh , I wish more videographer were this honest . I can't describe how terrific this presentation was. The end result was jaw dropping gorgeous. Thank you , so glad this appeared on my thread. P.S. this was worth $2500 easily .
I'm usually not a fan of painted furniture, but this looks spectacular. It's not just the wonderful job you did with the surfaces, but the addition of the legs really puts the shine on that apple. I'd buy that piece in a heartbeat!
Nothing beats the make and sturdiness of old furniture. I love my rock maple bedroom set that my great grandmother gave me. I would pick older furniture over any of the new things being sold. There are few artisans that make old world furniture now. Your finished remake is beautiful! Have to confess though, I love the beautiful wood on the drawers.
Wao! Bravo! For me, this is a great persistence lesson. I liked Your humbleness, admitting the errors, trying to figure out what was going wrong. But, I was inspired for not quitting, for being compromised, and learning more and more in life, no matter how long you've been in an apparently "failed" project. Thanks, thanks, and thanks!
It turned out GORGEOUS! Such a petty you had so much trouble with the veneer application... I don't know the cost of the veneer you bought but it is probably more expensive than painting. And yes, you should use a large spatula to apply the bonds. The top was really challenging to becoming even but YOU NAILED IT! Thanks so much for sharing .
Thank you for saving this piece! I loved the vibe of this one, turned out fabulous. You are talented and so very patient. This was one of my favorites!!
I admire your courage to admit to a fail. It’s how we all learn. Good for you and for us. Your honesty is refreshing. It’s a learning curve. And the piece is beautiful!!! Bravo 👏
So beautiful! The legs were perfect for the piece. I really love your perseverance and honesty. A joint knife or taping knife would definitely help with smoothing out filler on larger areas. And as a few others have said, contact cement may be the way to go in the future. The painted top looks as good as the stained wood veneer, though. Wonderful job.
Since there's obvious wax on this piece, clean that I would suggest the following: clean off all the wax you can with your scraper and vacuum whatever, cover the waxed areas with a couple of layers of paper towels then using a pretty warm, warm iron go over the wet, the paper towels and see how much wax they can pull out of the wood with the heat And the paper towels to absorb the wax. You might be very surprised at how much you can get out of the surface that way. I tried this once, and it pretty much took almost all the wax out of the surface very easily. I've also raises the nap on the surface of the wood, which takes out, minor gouges and scrapes.
I really have great respect for all the hard work you put into this project. I loved the finished product. With today's selection of colors in homes, the Grey's and whites, it will fit in modern to farm house to Victorian. Truly a prized piece of furniture. Could be put in many different locations of a home. Dining room, den, living room, in a large fouier with a mirror placed above it . A bountiful bouquet of flowers or a nice art piece in the center. Possibilities are endless. Would love to own this piece.
This is a positive comment - it was great to see your struggle and process in handling the problems, especially the top. So many videos make flipping look so simple, easy, and inexpensive. This flip was real, the best I have seen, and greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I haven’t read through all the comments to see if anyone else offered any help, but the Flipping Drawers and Transcend channel furniture refinish artists are highly recommended from my point of view for learning how to do veneer work. They are amazing! You gave it a heck of a try and you are awesome for putting yourself out there so tip of the hat on showing your boo boo and how you overcame it. I subscribed for more. You were a pleasure to watch from my armchair!
I love how you show your trial and errors. It gives all of us the courage to do the same. I also like how you show how each product works….good and bad. You give us the courage to try!! Thank you for your candid videos. We are all restoration warriors.

I really love watching these “flips” . Taking old unloved furniture and bringing it back to life is such a positive and artistic thing to do. I admire the work you do and the care you take. You deserve every cent you make 😊😊😊
I had a similar problem painting my kitchen cabinets. The wood had split on some of the cabinet doors because of the sun. To say I used a ton of wood filler and wood putty is an understatement. But in the long run three years later my kitchen cabinets still look fantastic. That piece turned out beautifully. You did an outstanding job! Good for you, love that color.
There is a really awesome little tool for trimming veneer (look up Chamfer plane) - they have different types that can tackle different types of edge. You can also just leave a lot of extra edge - just cutting off excess - then SAND it to the edge, which can be slower but worth it - as it has an extra bit of safety to it.
I just have to tell you that, your a tremendously talented lady! I love how you made this a teachable moment, and the two things I think is a must is clean under the furniture base, and no over spray you took care of both! Bravo love it
I really appreciate you showing us how things go wrong. I was watching carefully as i have veneer to replace on top of a cabinet. Not as large but still the same process. Will skip the wood glue and use a proper veneer adhesive
As You can see I am a new subscriber from Wales Uk, and I have to say Lady that is a credit to Your hard work and determination Congrats looking forward to You next adventure, Many thanx
Nothing wrong with humility - sharing it is another thing all together 😏 You’re amazing and I love watching you work I’ve learned and loved so many of your pieces! Thanks for keeping it real🫶🏻✌🏻
Oh my word! This Drexel peice is absolutely fabulous! You did a wonderful job on it! I am so impressed with your creativity. Thanks for sharing your experience with us! You are brave!
Two things. I love Bondo spreaders. They work great. Second was did you weigh down the veneer like with weights books etc? I would have maybe tried to flip it upside down to dry? Awesome end result tho!
Yes, I have multiple Bondo spreaders, but I didn’t use them until later. 🥴 The ironing was supposed to take the place of weighing it down. 🤷♀️ I read later not to use yellow wood glue, but that was what they recommended. Lessons learned 🙌🏼
Way to persevere! I would have tucked it away after the first scrape of wax and probably not have pulled it out again for a year. Hah! You did an amazing job!
It is GORGEOUS! I could never have refinished it. It would have been perfect in my kitchen! I’ve been looking for extra counter space in my small kitchen. Something like this would work and give me more storage. Thank you for sharing! You did a wonderful job on it. God bless you!❤
The outcome is nice. I guess a real carpenter would have replaced that pressboard on top with a real wooden board. That would have cost more money but you would've saved the money for the veener and the glue.
Beautifully done. Love the quality of your patience. I have a small house, so something this large would take up too much room. Blessed are those who have the space to place this beautiful drawer piece in thier house.
I love this channel because she explains everything and shows where she succeeds and where she should have done something differently. She's so honest and real

I only wish things had went smoother for you but we appreciate learning along with you. I also commend you for redoing the top so the person who bought it would not have issues down the road. thanks for showing your flops! I soooo needed that. I watch the other videos that show how perfect each application they do the first time and it looks wonderful. I was not having that success and started to give up. But your flops inspired me to keep going. thank you.
Wow, you are one determined gal! Whenever I watch these videos, I have a tendency to 'fast forward' some footage. I'm so glad I was one determined gal too .... why, I even watched the ads!! Me, being me would have taken the whole top off and bought a solid piece of wood etc. (That's maybe because I do lots of woodwork, and make furniture too).... but of course, that doesn't come cheap. It was so good you took us through the whole process, and with a fine tooth comb. You went through every detail. (even the 'credits')! I'm so impressed with your beautiful hands and nails going through the process too! Attagirl! Integrity is your middle name! From South Yorkshire, England.
Oh, by the way, I was amazed that the veneer wasn't already 'glued' . Over here you can buy 'iron on' veneer, and it really really works, I've used it myself, and it almost becomes one with the surface you iron on to. It was years ago, and those surfaces and still looking good!
Ha! It was a long one, but thanks for sticking with it!! Yeah, I considered that too, but I was running up the costs and since it was a flip I needed to cut my losses and move on.
Patience, perseverance, determination, grit…. You have it all I admire you meet I’ve been exactly the way you wanted it to begin with, but it looks great.
Beautiful job on this piece of furniture. Being a cabinet maker by trade trained by my father learning the art of working with wood and many different types of veneer and laminates. In the shop we always use eitrher hyde glue or contact cement, in the field some times spray glue by 3m. Trimming with a flush trim router or a low angle block plain, finishing with a hard rubber roller. Then sand and seal with sanding sealer and apply the finish of your choice. When finished this way it will not lift in our lifetimes. Just stumbled upon this video and look forward to watching more. GREAT JOB !!!!!!!!
It looks stunning I am happy you never gave up, so so happy God bless you keep up the good work, IN LIFE NEVER GIVE UP, I am so thrilled it came nicer than before🙏❤️🙌👌
Beautiful work and bravo on your patience. The veneering on the original piece did not stand the test of time. So smart moving ditching the veneering. And while this piece had endured much abuse, veneered pieces that have been babied can also bubble, lift and become brittle. I know I own them. 700.00 was a super great find for the buyer. You bought this piece many many years to come. Job well done!!
Gorgeous outcome! I would have definitely passed it up. That sanding work you put in, i would die!!! Great inspiration you gave me though, thank you for sharing!

Trail and error, we all learned a lot . But the end results were a stunning piece WOW. Love those door knobs , gorgeous. Love the color and the drawer liner you chose. Your profit was well worth the work put into it.

I read what messages people wrote and they were all impressed like I was. Thank you for showing us what it takes to do over a piece of furniture that you got for almost nothing but put your heart and soul into it despite the trouble it caused you. We are your cheerleaders.
Aw, you are so sweet! Thank you for your kind words 🫶😊
Holy Cow, what a transformation!! Really appreciate your sharing the ENTIRE process, especially the 'trials and errors'. I learned a great deal. Thank you.
Thank you! It’s not easy sharing failures but I hope it helps. 😩😊🫶
What a labor of love, so much hard work you put in but WOW, it’s gorgeous. Thank you for being humble enough to share even the ‘flops’ as it’s so helpful. Awesome flip and tutorial - huge thanks!!
Thank you! It’s definitely humbling to share the fails, but I hope it helps others. 🫶🤩
Thank you for sharing the whole story. I learned a lot from your reflections on how things worked and why they might not have worked as you wanted, how you problem solved to get a more desired result, and I appreciated learning about the different products you tried. I think this illustrated how we sometimes learn the most through challenges . . . 😌
You are so welcome! Thanks for your feedback. 🙌🏼😊
After you were done it looked like a beautiful classic piece of furniture! Thanks so much for including the parts that you had to struggle through.❤❤❤
You’re welcome! This is more of a learn with me channel 🤣 Thanks so much! 🙌🏼
You make DIY’ing look so therapeutic and fun to do. Thank you for being transparent and humble! Your work is amazing ❤
Sometimes it’s therapeutic and sometimes it’s a headache 🤣 Thanks so much!! 🤩🙌🏼
Sometimes, what we have projected in our heads, the piece has a mind of its own. After all that preserveranc and hard work, it paid off. STUNNING!!
Very informative.
Oh gosh, isn’t that true! So many times these pieces have a mind of their own . 🫠 Thank you SO much. 🤩🙌🏼
Thank-you so much for being humble and sharing with us your mistakes. You are amazing!
It’s kinda hard, but I hope it’s helpful. Thank you! 🫶
P.S. this was worth
$2500 easily .
Well, that is so kind of you to say. Thank you! 🤩🙌🏼
I'm usually not a fan of painted furniture, but this looks spectacular. It's not just the wonderful job you did with the surfaces, but the addition of the legs really puts the shine on that apple. I'd buy that piece in a heartbeat!
The legs really helped this piece. Thank you! 🤩
I agree! I love vintage furniture. The quality is hard to beat!
Your hard work paid off
Wao!
Aw, thank you! It’s not always easy sharing the fails, but it’s real life. 🤷♀️
Yes, the veneer was a pricey mistake, but I’m keeping it to use for veneer repairs 🙌🏼 Thank you!
Thank you for saving this piece! I loved the vibe of this one, turned out fabulous. You are talented and so very patient. This was one of my favorites!!
Aw, thanks Rachel!
I admire your courage to admit to a fail. It’s how we all learn. Good for you and for us. Your honesty is refreshing. It’s a learning curve. And the piece is beautiful!!! Bravo 👏
Thanks Kathleen! Not easy to share the fails, but you’re right, that’s how we all learn! Thanks so much!! 🤩🙌🏼
Thanks so much! Yep, I need a better tool. I even have a Bondo spreader but didn’t use it until later 🤦♀️
Sadly, it had already ruined the veneer
I really have great respect for all the hard work you put into this project. I loved the finished product. With today's selection of colors in homes, the Grey's and whites, it will fit in modern to farm house to Victorian. Truly a prized piece of furniture. Could be put in many different locations of a home. Dining room, den, living room, in a large fouier with a mirror placed above it . A bountiful bouquet of flowers or a nice art piece in the center. Possibilities are endless. Would love to own this piece.
Thank you! 🫶 It was a very popular color 🤩
This is a positive comment - it was great to see your struggle and process in handling the problems, especially the top. So many videos make flipping look so simple, easy, and inexpensive. This flip was real, the best I have seen, and greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Thanks Deborah. 🫶 It’s not easy sharing fails, but it’s real life and things rarely go to plan - well, for me anyway 😅
I love to see all the outfit changes to see just how many days you worked on this! lovely result 😀
Ha! For real! It was a process. 🙃🫠
Thank you! Yes, a few others mentioned them as well. Always something to learn ☺️ Welcome, glad you’re here 🙌🏼
I love how you show your trial and errors. It gives all of us the courage to do the same. I also like how you show how each product works….good and bad. You give us the courage to try!! Thank you for your candid videos. We are all restoration warriors.
Добрый день. На ваш канал попала случайно и это первое видео просмотрено мною. Работа просто класс. Пойду смотреть другие Ваши видео. Лайк и подписка. Привет из России!
My pleasure! 🙌🏼😊
I really love watching these “flips” . Taking old unloved furniture and bringing it back to life is such a positive and artistic thing to do. I admire the work you do and the care you take. You deserve every cent you make 😊😊😊
Aw, thank you!!
Thanks so much! 🤩
I’ll look it up, thanks!! 🙌🏼
I just have to tell you that, your a tremendously talented lady! I love how you made this a teachable moment, and the two things I think is a must is clean under the furniture base, and no over spray you took care of both! Bravo love it
Aw, thank you! 🫶
Great job, I’m in awe of your determination to keep at it till it’s done, you are a machine! 🤗
Aw, thank you. 🫶
Stunning. You are a worker bee! Liked that you shared the problems and frustrations. Thank you.
Tons of respect for showing your veneer flop. I’ve never done veneer, but Jon Peters has a great video on doing large veneers (on a cabinet he built).
It’s not easy showing failures. I have a lot to learn but I will get it one of these days. 🙌🏼
I really appreciate you showing us how things go wrong. I was watching carefully as i have veneer to replace on top of a cabinet. Not as large but still the same process. Will skip the wood glue and use a proper veneer adhesive
You’re welcome. Hard to share, but we learn so much in the failures too. 😊🙌🏼
As You can see I am a new subscriber from Wales Uk, and I have to say Lady that is a credit to Your hard work and determination Congrats looking forward to You next adventure, Many thanx
Aw, thank you so much! And welcome! I'm glad you're here!
OMG, I love the way this piece turned out. You did an amazing job...❤
Thank you so much! 😊
New here and WOW, this turned out stunning!! Thank you for showing us your mishaps, for those of us just starting out. ❤😊
Thank you! 🫶
Nothing wrong with humility - sharing it is another thing all together 😏
You’re amazing and I love watching you work
I’ve learned and loved so many of your pieces!
Thanks for keeping it real🫶🏻✌🏻
Candace, you are too kind 🫶🤩
“Super pleased”??? That is an understatement. A miracle!!!
Aw, thank you! 🫶🤩
You put a tremendous amount of work into this piece! Well done..it’s beautiful ❤
Aw, thank you! 😊 🙌🏼
Oh my word! This Drexel peice is absolutely fabulous! You did a wonderful job on it! I am so impressed with your creativity. Thanks for sharing your experience with us! You are brave!
Thank you so much! 😊
I'm new to your channel. Considering all the work you put into it, the finished product came out amazing, beautiful and you didn't give up.
Thank you so much, Maria! 🫶🤩
I agree the added feet gave it a whole new look. I admire your dedication to doing a really good job. I'm glad you did well on the sale.
I agree! The feet really helped! Thanks so much. 🙌🏼
Way to persevere! I would have tucked it away after the first scrape of wax and probably not have pulled it out again for a year. Hah! You did an amazing job!
Ha! It was tempting, but it’s so big I needed to finish it so I could get it out of my garage! 🤣 Thank you!
Looks great! I've got to get a paint sprayer, that's a game changer!
Paint sprayers are a big help in getting a factory like finish. 🤩
It is GORGEOUS! I could never have refinished it. It would have been perfect in my kitchen! I’ve been looking for extra counter space in my small kitchen. Something like this would work and give me more storage. Thank you for sharing! You did a wonderful job on it. God bless you!❤
Thank you! 😊
I like how the accordion detail "popped" when painted!
me too!
The outcome is nice. I guess a real carpenter would have replaced that pressboard on top with a real wooden board. That would have cost more money but you would've saved the money for the veener and the glue.
Probably 😊🙌🏼
You know. The piece was not an expensive one. Therefore I think she did the right thing. Real carpenter or not.
Beautifully done. Love the quality of your patience. I have a small house, so something this large would take up too much room. Blessed are those who have the space to place this beautiful drawer piece in thier house.
Thanks so much!! 🤩🙌🏼
What a job!! I bet you were pulling your hair out over that top 😖 It turned out very nice and elegant so it paid off 🤗
Oh gos, yes! So frustrating 😩
where is your like button I wonder, you have a dislike button and an unlike button :/
☺️🙌🏼
OMYGOSH! I found it 😂 I'll just leave this here for a laugh🤣
@@angelaforsyth1092 🤣
I love this channel because she explains everything and shows where she succeeds and where she should have done something differently. She's so honest and real
You're so sweet! Thanks so much!! 🤩🙌🏼
Absolutely beautiful!! Thanking for sharing how you made decisions along the way, learning as you went. Great video
Thank you so much! 😊
You go girl! It looks and is amazing! I commend you big time for hanging in there and persevering through all your trial and errors! I learned a lot and thank you for taking us along on your journey. I only wish things had went smoother for you but we appreciate learning along with you. I also commend you for redoing the top so the person who bought it would not have issues down the road. I think I would have been in tears more than once. But in the end the buffet turned out beautiful!
Thank you! It was a rough journey, but I loved the final product 🤩
Beautiful! I so appreciate your honesty. I have been where you were doing something over and over with awful results but you didn’t give up! Wonderful tutorial!
Thanks so much!! 🤩🙌🏼
You are determined young woman!!! For sure. You were not going to let that get the better of you!!!! It turned out beautiful. You did a fantastic job. I enjoyed so much your video. Thanks looking for more to watch.
Thanks for watching!!😊🙌🏼
Oh WOW!!!! You did a fantastic job! The legs made a huge difference!! Knowing what products to use also helps a ton. Great job! It's beautiful!
Thank you! I agree the legs helped so much! ☺️
It turned out beautiful; you did a really good job on it, despite the trouble with the top. Plus you made an excellent deal on it price wise... Good Job!!!
Thanks so much! 😊 Indeed! 🙌🏼
You did a beautiful job ... but the amount of work you put into it was extreme. If you saw another piece that would require a similar amount of intense effort, would you go for it? Or pass?
You are a WARRIOR! Thank you for sharing your experience with this piece!!! 🧡
I think I would pass. 😅 I did make for a good video though 😂
Wow, what a beautiful finished piece! The transformation is remarkable in spite of all the hick ups! Also, what a profit, that in itself had to be so gratifying!
Thanks so much!! 🤩🙌🏼 I’m thankful for a quick and profitable sale.
Well done! I love that these are long form videos and that you share what doesn’t work as well as what works.
Thank you! It’s hard to share the fails, but I hope it can be helpful too. 😊
Oh dear I feel your pain. It looked to beautiful with the veneer. I appreciate your honesty and tips for fixing boo boo’s.
It was painful 😬 I was just thankful it turned out in the end 🫠
Oh my gosh! You worried and worked your tush off with this piece that most people would have put in a dumpster! IT TURNED OUT ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! It was all worth it! Wonderful job! I just love this piece!! ❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
Aw, you are so kind! It was a hot mess, but it turned out in the end. ☺️🙌🏼
I love watching the simplicity of your approach to restoring this beautiful piece. Great job!❤️
Thanks so much!! 🤩🙌🏼
BRAVO!!!
Good attitude and working determination -
wins every time!
Thanks so much!! 🤩🙌🏼
Loved watching this. You are skilled! You have a lot of product knowledge as well. I am thrilled you restored such a beautiful piece of real furniture!! Congrats.
Thank you so much! 🫶🤩
I learned alot from all the "mistakes" you made. Wonderful video. And the piece came out beautiful , although I really loved the wood veneer.
Thank you! I did too 😢
Wow. I would have never seen the potential in that piece. And your tenacity is most impressive. Lady!
Aw, thanks!😊
thanks for showing your flops! I soooo needed that. I watch the other videos that show how perfect each application they do the first time and it looks wonderful. I was not having that success and started to give up. But your flops inspired me to keep going. thank you.
You are so welcome! It’s not easy to share the mistakes, but I hope it’s helpful 😊
We only have iron on edge banding. We do have peel and stick though. You are very sweet, thank you for your kind words. 🫶
Patience, perseverance, determination, grit…. You have it all I admire you meet I’ve been exactly the way you wanted it to begin with, but it looks great.
Aw, Thanks so much!! 🤩🙌🏼
Thanks for the tips! I always appreciate learning about different methods. 😊🙌🏼
It looks stunning I am happy you never gave up, so so happy God bless you keep up the good work, IN LIFE NEVER GIVE UP, I am so thrilled it came nicer than before🙏❤️🙌👌
I’m glad I didn’t give up too! 🙌🏼😊
Aw, thank you for your kind words. 🫶
Gorgeous outcome! I would have definitely passed it up. That sanding work you put in, i would die!!! Great inspiration you gave me though, thank you for sharing!
Yeah, this was one of those pieces that I was thinking, “Why did I even bid on this piece?!” 🤔🤣 Thank you! 🙌🏼
What a beautiful job. You have an amazing talent and skill either way refinishing. Your patience is very impressive. I’m glad you decided to make the top without the veneer.
Thanks so much, Tanya! This one tested my patience 😬
Yes I appreciate your willingness to be honest about your mistakes ...we all get to learn from them thanks a million
I appreciate that. Thank you! 😊
Hello from sunny Glasgow 😊 Oh my word my wee heart ❤️ was in my mouth watching this ❤ What an amazing job in the end. Some woman for persevering ❤
It was a bit painful 🫣 I’m glad it turned out in the end. Thanks for watching!
Lisa, It truly turned out so well - especially considering where it started. It was a wreck and you made it beautiful again! Way to stay the course!!
Aw, thanks Mel! 😘
Trail and error, we all learned a lot . But the end results were a stunning piece WOW. Love those door knobs , gorgeous. Love the color and the drawer liner you chose. Your profit was well worth the work put into it.
Indeed! Thanks so much!! 🤩🙌🏼
You did a beautiful job on this piece! You’ve inspired me to work on a Drexel dresser I bought used many years ago. Thank you for your knowledge and expertise.
Awesome! You’re welcome and good luck on your project! 🙌🏼😊
You definitely have patience and perseverance. Not to mention how knowledgeable you are. That top was insane. I’m thinking I would have given up on the second or third try. It was very beautiful!
I appreciate that! It was a challenging piece, for sure 🫣😩😬😊
